Fantastic experience: After losing a tooth filling whilst on holiday, I contacted a few dental practices for an appointment to rectify the painful issue without success. Fortunately, I then found St Andrews Dental Practice and was offered an appointment the following morning. From entering the premises to the treatment of the painful problem was dealt with both friendly and efficiently. (Oh, also pain free.) Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a damaged front tooth post which had to be removed by Dr Farmer .So no front teeth A synthetic bone graft was necessary due to infection. Then a titanium implant put in . Fantastic experience: I have been in treatment for over a year after one of my teeth broke. The team at St Andrews dental care was great all along! I got an appointment very quick and Claire took care of all the dentistry care I needed before going for an implant. Stuart then took over to remove and replace the tooth. It took a lot of work but it was all done painfree, professionally, and really well. The receptionists and nurses were also all super helpful and nice. I would highly recommend the clinic!

Fantastic experience: Im the world’s most nervous patient ! I’ve not been to a dentist in over 10 years . Im currently on holiday in St Andrews & have the worst toothache pain known to man !! I found this clinic online & well what can I say except just WOW !!! I was having panic attack on entry , I honestly was ready to go back into my car as I am so nervous !!! I was met by a pretty receptionist/ nurse I told her I’m so nervous I’m embarrassed etc anyway she helped put me at ease & calm me down . Then Emma my dentist who was taking care of me took me into the room I was shaking sweating talking fast but in so much pain . Emma is honestly an earth angel !!! She listened & could see I was nervous . She was so kind & gentle . She went above & beyond to help treat my pain & my fear of dentist ! I am that much pleased with her dental work I am going to register with them & have all my dental implants done here . I wouldn’t go anywhere else now . Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the dentist were all so lovely !! I am out of pain now & I think I have conquered my life long fear of dentists ! Positive experience: I am scared of dentists, last one was a torture specialist in my view. First appointment with St Andrews Dental Care and I'm impressed with the lovely consultant who has a nice vibe and was very involved in what I want, how i want to proceed and presented me with more options than heinz soup (slight exaggeration). I felt at ease in about 10 mins. I've not had any work done yet but already I'm more at ease. Not completely but that's fear itself so it's time to get it done and have a decent smile again and the pain I have I don't want. Try them folks, see what I mean for yourself.

Fantastic experience: My experience at St Andrews Dental Care was beyond anything I could have hoped for. I have been struggling with TMJ jaw pain for 8 months and after my jaw got stuck yesterday, I decided to head to the clinic after Haley was able to book me in for an emergency appointment (absolute angel!). I got to see Dr. Stuart Farmer who immediately put me at ease and confirmed he could help me. After 8 long months of excruciating pain and no diagnosis from the local GP or NHS Dentist, Dr. Farmer was able to give me one in minutes, and take away the pain instantly. I can see now why they are called the "Pain Free" Dental Clinic. I was sent away with the proper meds and splint needed to correct my problem and have not been in any pain since. I couldn't recommend this clinic more. They will look after you 100% and do it with a level of compassion and professionalism I've had yet to see anywhere else in my 6 years of living in the U.K. Thanks Team :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve dealt with Chris and Eilidh since being at the practice in the past year. They’re both incredibly friendly, professional and easy to talk to. They show genuine care and give you tonnes of information on how to best take care of your dental hygiene in the long run as well as plan for future care you may need. The dental nurses are always friendly and helpful. The receptionists have saved me a few headaches in my time there by helping me out if I’m running late, locked in my house accidentally or unable to make an appointment in the coming days. Never thought I’d say I’d enjoy going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: I went to St Andrews Dental Care after being with the NHS for many years but starting to feel increasingly let down and concerned about the care I was receiving. This culminated in a tooth getting broken and having to wear a partial denture which I hated. I consulted Stuart who spent a lot of time looking at the issues I had, and after getting some very good remedial general dental work, I started the process for an implant. The process was quite long as I needed to have my bone built back up, but at all times the care and attention was excellent. I am left with a new front tooth which perfectly matches my natural teeth. I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart and this practice. Indeed I have now signed up for regular care here.

I have had a missing tooth for years, with little progress or clear path forward, and I am so happy to say that I have just had a successful dental implant surgery. This means so much to me as I’ve been given conflicting advice for years about what is best for me. Until I came here and I have so much more clarity. The receptionists are so kind and helpful, there are payment plans to suit different budgets, and everything has been explained clearly every step of the way. A special shout out to Claire and Stuart for all of their help and support throughout the process of my implant. Would definitely recommend this dental clinic if you are looking for high quality dental implant or orthodontic care.

Mansoor is the only person that has ever managed to clean my teeth without me having any sensitivity pain at all. So clean with no pain, as a previous dentophobe I am eternally grateful! Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr Farmer. Both he and his assistant were fantastic throughout the procedure really putting me at ease. A phone call the following morning to check how I was feeling was really welcome, and shown a real care for patients. It really was a pain free experience and I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous experience from start to finish. Claire has given me my confidence back after straightening my teeth. I can’t stop smiling and looking at them. If you were considering straightening - this is your sign to just go ahead and do it!

Negative experience: The whole experience was traumatic. I had a partial filling loss and had an appointment offered one week after I made first contact . I am a registered patient and had recently completed fairly extensive treatment. The dental therapist who saw me asked the dental nurse if there was a dentist in the building when he'd looked at my affected tooth. Not reassuring. A dentist then appeared and started by looking at the wrong tooth..... The dental therapist then proceeded to repair the filling. I was in the dental chair for the best part of an hour - for one partial filling repair. On recovery from the local anaesthetic I found it was painful to open my jaw, which still persists after 24 hours. For this I was charged in excess of £200. I will not return.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say a few words in recognition of Sebastian Mylchreest at the St Andrews Dental Care & Implant Clinic. I had to have a root canal and a new crown fitted during the C-19 restrictions as my own dentist was prohibited to carry out the work due to lockdown restrictions. Sebastian carried out a first rate job, he was extremely professional and very friendly, in addition to explaining the dental work as he proceeded with the treatment. The experience was as pain-free as you are likely to get when visiting a dentist. I found Sebastian to be genuine and extremely genial and would recommend him with no reservations. Thank you so much for a great job, I am very happy with my treatment and the result.

Fantastic experience: I can't describe how grateful I am for this practice. Everyone is wonderful, and they helped me--a person they didn't know, on holiday from the States, who suffered an emergency from a previous oral surgery. I'd emailed the affiliate office in Dundee, closer to where I was, but they didn't handle the level of care I needed but asked permission to forward my inquiry to St. Andrews. Within the hour, Christina from St. Andrews reached out to me.This is when I had an inkling of how incredible this office is. Christina said Stuart, the oral surgeon with the proper expertise in the area I needed, would be happy to see me, and could I provide some information from my U.S. surgeon (whom I had been trying to reach, to no avail). I sent her the information, and said I'd not yet received a reply. She could not find an email on the website, so she called--the U.S. I was miserable, barely able to eat, and the problems I was having were NOT typical for my past surgery, so I was terrified if I didn't get help, the implications would be worse, as every day I could discern my issues growing progressively worse. But Christina was able to squeeze me into Stuart's schedule as soon right after he returned from leave. Stuart's credentials were impeccable, and it showed in when it mattered most: It turned out Stuart did not have exactly the right instruments that would have made what he needed to do to "patch me up" until I could have the problem fixed permanently in the U.S. And this is THE most important part of this review and why I tell this longer story: Stuart, had to think on his feet and figure out what tools would work to get the job done correctly. You see, medicine is a science, but I have always heard good doctors/dentists say that it is also an art. Because Stuart is an expert at what he does, with years of experience, training--and training others, because he travels and keeps current with research and best practices, he was able to think fast about what could work. There was one moment when he thought he might have to send me to the lab in Dundee for just one last thing. But then he said maybe he had something in a bag at the end of the counter... and he tried it; his next words were, "it's a miracle." I replied, "you're a genius." He spent almost two hours fixing me up. When I tell you I had been in tears for 2-3 weeks, even wondering if it was fixable, I'm not exaggerating. I felt like hugging both him and Elle (his assistant for my appt--also wonderful, kind. Elle has amazing eyesight and can find the smallest things that drop on the floor! She spotted and sanitized what I couldn't even see!) Elle is a perfect assistant and made me feel cared for as well. I actually never asked the cost; probably no one could tell me since they wouldn't have known what needed done. But the cost was absolutely fair and reasonable. There was no padded charge they tried to make up and take advantage of the way some places might. I paid for a long and involved visit in a highly qualified office, where he saved my mouth, allowed me to eat, and gave me hope to enjoy the rest of my summer. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Rebecca, yet another radiant and friendly person that gives a lovely image to this practice, checked me out. Christina had left for the day. When I emailed Christina to thank her for doing so much to help me, she admitted she checked with Rebecca later to see that I was taken care of, and that basically explains the heart of this office. While they're not NHS, if you can manage a private care office, choose this one. Most of all, you need medical professionals who think deeply and strategically when situations are not clear cut. I cannot recommend St. Andrews Dental Care highly enough. PS: I am leaving this review over a week after my appt, simply to note that Stuart's work really did do the job and I have been able to eat, and have no complications; my appt. to have the entire process redone is next month in the States, but thanks to Stuart, it's no longer an emergency.

After many years of living with 2 front teeth with small chips which had been very visibly repaired, he has done an amazing cosmetic and invisible repair. All my friends think that I have 2 new front teeth, fabulous! He also measured and fitted me with a new mouth guard to prevent damage from teeth grinding and for the first time in many years I wake up in the morning refreshed and rested after a good nights sleep, and without any pain in my jaw or neck. Fantastic experience: As always Bill was extremely happy with the care and service that he received from Eilidh and Mahira. The friendship shown to him and explanation of the treatment he needed was first class and very professional.

Negative experience: I was told there was a waiting list until December and felt patronised when I asked for a price list... apparently you have to pay £20 for a 'smile appointment' to even be made aware of cost. Not very transparent at all!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for 30 years and always had a 'good' experience. Very friendly reception and always made to feel at ease. My present dentist, Dr Sebastian Mylchreest, makes you feel very relaxed and confident that your dental problems will be resolved. You also receive a very good and thorough check up with the hygienist. Strongly recommend.
