Negative experience: Booked an emergency appointment for my 11 year old daughter. The night before they sent me a message to say change of appointment time. I had already informed the school and sorted out my work. Had to re arrange this due to change of time. Then the morning of the appointment I get a phone call to say appointment has now been cancelled and all appointments that day had to be cancelled due to a big emergency meeting. An hour before the appointment time I get a phone call to see if I could still take my daughter in as the dentist could now see her as it was an emergency appointment and she is a child. I do not trust this dentist now. How can you think this is acceptable?! People have work, homelife, school etc to juggle around. Cannot just drop everything and attend because youve now decided you can go ahead with the appointment! Disgusting

Fantastic experience: Hi im very very scared of the dentist always have been, i see Sergio he is fantastic, he have made me feel so much better spoke to me about everything. I have a very bad gag reflux which no other dentist have understood but Sergio have been brilliant and very patience with me,I have had to have dentures made and believe me that was not easy but we got there in the end.I have now got them and they fit and feel good. I would recommend anyone to go to see Sergio at my dentist, im no where near as scared now in fact I don't mind going and believe me I would have never had said that I can't believe im saying it lol Sergio and the ladies that help are brilliant if you are worried and don't like the dentist like me go see Sergio he is brilliant and he will look after you. You wont be worried anymore.

For a large part of my life I hated the look of my teeth; and i rarely smiled, purely because I didn't want anyone else to see them. Fantastic experience: I cannot express this enough I am massively grateful to Dr Hadian she was precise down to the fine millimetre she replicated and repaired the rest of the half of my front tooth and also filled a couple cavities one of which I knew about the other I had no clue on both the molars,I have not been able to smile confidently for a number of years. Dr Hadian and her colleague have given me back my cheeky smile I am forever grateful to the surgery and will be returning back for a follow up appointment to discuss even further more additional work to be arranged a deep clean hygienist appointment, teeth whitening and hopefully straightening of the bottom set of teeth Smiles all Round ,All Year long! Haven’t had a proper dentist in over 10+ years Thank you ever so much.

After months of researching multiple practices around Ipswich, I came across this dental practice online—and I’m so glad I did. From start to finish, my experience has been exceptional. When I arrived, the reception team were friendly, welcoming, and instantly put me at ease—something I had been looking for after so long without regular dental care. I was seen by Dr Sergio Madrigal Cerro, who provided one of the most thorough and reassuring examinations I’ve ever had. He took the time to explain everything in detail, using a live camera to show exactly what he could see and what he was assessing. It made me feel informed, comfortable, and confident in the care I was receiving. After the examination, he went through a clear treatment plan with transparent pricing and offered helpful advice on additional steps I could take to improve my smile and boost my confidence. He also explained how the treatment costs could be broken down and spread out, which made the whole process feel achievable. The reception team printed out my full treatment plan and explained everything with no pressure or obligation. Their clarity and kindness made a huge difference, especially when considering private treatment for the first time. Following Dr Sergio’s recommendation, I booked an appointment with Miss Ami Lovell, their hygienist. She was just as warm and reassuring. She explained each step of the treatment, regularly checked in on my comfort, and genuinely cared about my wellbeing throughout the appointment. When I decided to move forward with half of the treatment plan, arranging it over finance was simple. My treatment with Dr Sergio was once again excellent—he consistently made sure I was comfortable, and the quality of his work has been outstanding. Overall, I genuinely couldn’t be happier with my experience. Every member of the team made me feel relaxed, reassured, and looked after from start to finish. I highly recommend this practice—especially Dr Sergio Madrigal Cerro and Miss Ami Lovell—who together have transformed not just my smile, but also my confidence. Truly an exceptional level of care.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Inconsiderate! I had initially booked an appointment on 3rd November for 8:25 a.m. on 5th November, carefully planning my morning around it — arranging for someone to do the school run and making sure I could still get to work on time. Then, on the morning of 4th November, I received a call from the practice insisting that I change my appointment to 8:15 a.m. or 9:25 a.m. — both of which were completely unsuitable. Despite explaining my situation clearly, they continued to pressurise me to adjust my schedule rather than honouring the original appointment they themselves had offered. There was absolutely no flexibility or understanding, and their tone made me feel as if my time and circumstances didn’t matter at all. I was already anxious because I desperately needed treatment for a lost crown, but the way this was handled — with zero empathy and a dismissive attitude — was the final straw. I ended up cancelling the appointment entirely, and I have no desire to ever return. First impressions truly are the last impressions, and this practice made a terrible one

Fantastic experience: Both my children were on there way to a check up with our usual dentist. As they crossed the road my son was hit by a car and landed on the road. I managed to get him into the dentist. The team first aided was quick to act and supplied gauze and found he had lost a tooth. Our usual dentist Alina became free and asked her dental nurse to see if she could find the tooth on the road. She did! Then we managed to get my son into Alina’s room and they both worked so hard and managed to put the top back in! They were amazing - legends. Thank you so much all the staff were a real credit to the practice with their professional and quality of care.

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually leave reviews, but the care and professionalism that Dr Shalandu Rai always gives deserves to be acknowledged. I have had various procedures over the last few years (general check ups, root canals, crowns and an extraction) and each and every time the care and attention is absolutely first class. I would also like to thank the dental nurse (Kyrielle) from my last visit for her excellent care and wish her well on her future studies.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been avoiding the dentist for 10 years after a bad experience that left me with terrible anxiety about the dentist. I had no choice about visiting when my front tooth fell out last Sunday. I was seen the next day by Shalandu Rai and her wonderful dental nurse Iwana. Obviously I had to go private as I was not registered and needed to be seen urgently, it was costly but she saved my tooth and my vanity and restored my faith in dentists. They both made me feel at ease and she explained what she could do to save my tooth as a temporary measure before putting a plan in place to move forward with my treatment. For anyone that has anxiety about visiting the dentist these ladies are incredible and I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: Always quick, polite and well organised over the years I've been using them. Dentists can change quite often but they are always very good, my current one is very efficient and friendly.

Fantastic experience: My upper teeth were in a bad way. Only 3 decent ones at the back right side and my Two remaining pointed protruding teeth had to be extracted. Im a nervous patient but my dentist was brill fruenfky and reassuring never felt a thing. Then 4 more appointments until i finally got my flexi dentures. And WOW!! My teeth look bright and normal and i can smile again... I have been grinning like a Cheshire cat ever since. My confidence and positivity has soared i am a different person . I sm sooooo grateful.

Negative experience: waited an hour to be seen after appointment booked at 12 and not seen till 10 past 1 and made late for doctors appointment. Absolutely fuming.

Negative experience: Not sure about the other dentist’s there but completely avoid Mahboubeh Hadian. Still fairly & newly registered, only from September 2024 as per the GDC and registered in HUNGARY which they clearly lack teaching healthcare professionalism, empathy and duty of care! My mother aborted her tooth extraction due to her completely absurd behaviour. As a ex-healthcare professional myself I know the rules and policies and she did not follow any.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to compliment Shak and Freya, they are a true asset to mydentist and go above and beyond to provide high quality care. Shak is a perfectionist and Freya’s empathy is truly felt. Shak didn’t try and sell me the most expensive product, infact she advised me based on patient centred care. I didn’t feel rushed during the consultation and they had plenty of time for me. They manage to get me booked in later that day and rushed their lunch break before my second appointment. They made sure I understood the information they were telling me and both had equal parts in my experience. I’ve been to the dentist before where the dental nurse doesn’t get that involved and Freya was perfect in explaining her own experiencing to help me make an informed decision. Freya took my email address as I requested my notes and scans be sent to me, and normally I feel weird or strange for doing my own research and keeping my records at home but they made me feel special. I’m looking forward to returning for further appointment and hope they are with Freya and Shak. Continue going above and beyond for your patients ladies as it means more than you realise, this was the highlight of my day.

I get very nervous going to the dentist but they are amazing at calming my nerves and reassuring me, making a previously horrible experience with another dentist more bearable. Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to register as an NHS patient here earlier this month. My first appointment was with Mahboubeh and she (as I expected) pointed at a tooth which had to come out. A week later I arrived for the dreaded extraction (I really hate needles) - Mahboubeh couldn't have been kinder. She got the necessary done with only one painkilling injection and pulled the offending tooth out with no problem at all. What a relief! I'll also add that the reception staff are lovely as well. If you're looking for a dentist (I don't know if any NHS places are left) then you could do a lot worse than come here. Many thanks.

Negative experience: Great dentist shame receptionists are rude as I have been there for years and have always said I cannot make morning appointments but they still put it down and say if you can’t make it we can always rearrange but then rearrange and they say well anymore and you will be struck off, the receptionists used to be so friendly there shame all of them have left now

Fantastic experience: After a difficult tooth extraction attempt from a different dentist, Sergio effortlessly removed the offending tooth. He performed a further extraction, and a filling (during which he rebuilt my tooth!) both of these painlessly. Both Sergio and his Dental Nurse, Nia were so caring and reassuring. Sergio's knowledge is second to none...thank you both very much! The reception staff were friendly and helpful too.

My daughter was transferred over from a previous dentist due to being a very nervous patient and after meeting and chatting to Alina and C she has recently been able to have 3 teeth extractions prior to the next step of braces which is massive, and now such a relief to be completed. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Orwell Dental centre for over 14 yrs the last 5-8 yrs under the care of Alina Ormindean who has cared for me exemplary knowing my complex medical issues she and her team are 1st class lately due to medication causing some of my teeth to have to be removed she has been kind extremely helpful in advise and now with the need of dentures as can’t have implants due to a bone disease both her and her dental nurse have been 1st class all the way - a HUGE thank you

Negative experience: Very disappointed! No parking whatsoever, Found the staff to be very rude on the phone, very contradictory in their answers, saying there was an orthodontist then there wasn't one and then they did have one etc. Staff look down on you in reception & aren't very polite. It feels very off putting, 150£ for what was not even 10 minutes work and it didn't even include a check up... Very poor service. +toilets and waiting areas in dreadful condition, used toilet paper all over the floor (very bizarre) & hadn't look like they'd been regularly checked, wish I could transfer anywhere else but here, I've been a patient for over 20 years and I don't want to go back.

Fantastic experience: I have had a fear of having dental treatment since I was a teenager & had a bad experience with tooth extraction. ( not with this dental practice I hasten to add!) . I wasn’t looking forward to my filling on a tooth that had crumbled . I had shamelessly worked myself into a panic . However , 15 mins later, filling done, worst bit was the millisecond quick prick of the gum with the injection . My dentist was Alina Ormindean , very patient yet straight talking and her team with her , very engaging and kind as always to a nervous 58 year old!!

Fantastic experience: Both my son and myself come here, I have for nearly 20 years and my son for 16. I wouldn't want a different dentist anywhere near my teeth!!!

Negative experience: We have learnt to live with the abrupt attitude of the dental nurse at this practice and it’s nice to see she is in the Christmas spirit. My wife and daughter had an appointment today which normally last around 5-10 minutes. Not only does my wife have to take time off work as it is an hour journey there and an hour back my daughter has to miss college. Due to an accident on the A14 she was just over 5 minutes late only to be sent away and told to rebook another appointment maybe you could be a little more sympathetic due to the logistics and cost of organising a visit to your practice for some. Although the actual Dentist may be good the place could do with an injection of “happy” and maybe a will to help out a bit.

Fantastic experience: My dentist Alina and dental nurse Chiara make coming to the dentist so much easier! I am a nervous patient, and they have always been calm, caring, and kind. I have had a recent root canal treatment and everything was explained to me before and after treatment. I wish I had dentists like this growing up! I might have better teeth now! My son also comes to the surgery he is neurodiverse and they are great with him too! They don't rush him, they are understanding and get him checked as efficiently as possible.

Negative experience: Make sure you know the cost before they book you in and carry out any work ,my bill went from 99 pounds to 430 pounds and I was in there for less then 20 minutes , on a positive note the dentist was very caring and friendly but the bill was quite a shock just before Christmas , the receptionist also wanted to charge me the booking fee twice and forgot to give me my prescription on the way out .. I will use them again but I'll double check all prices next time

Always explains in detail what is happening checks if you’re okay when having treatment which makes the experience so much better especially when you’re not a fan at going to the dentist. Izzy joined this appointment and again same feedback for her too, even though I hadn’t had the pleasure before now to meet her
