Fantastic experience: I wholeheartedly recommend my doctor, Malcolm Strang. He's a doctor who truly cares about his patients. Dr. Malcolm Strang performed root canal treatment and placed a beautiful porcelain crown on my first tooth, and all this before Christmas. Even though he was busy, he treated me with understanding and compassion. Thanks to Malcolm Strang, my Christmas will be beautiful. Thank you so much, Dr. Strang. The receptionist is also very kind and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.❤️

Negative experience: Ever since their best dentist left, I've had much worse, usually rushed experiences here. Worst of all, I told them about a very sensitive tooth during several checkups and all they told me was not to worry about it and to use toothpaste for sensitive teeth. They were surprised that didn't help but did not investigate further, even though I indicated I had a filling about 10 years old in that tooth and I figured it was failing. After more than a year of reassurance and worsening sensitivity, I got a terrible toothache and had to have very expensive emergency root-canal treatment while on holiday abroad. I'm obviously never coming back to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I always have such a positive experience with Niamh. She is incredibly gentle, thorough and makes me feel completely at ease. She explains everything in such a kind and professional manner. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a hygienist who truly cares for her patients. My experience at the dental studio is always excellent. Danielle is welcoming, friendly and helpful, ensuring that my visits are always positive.

Fantastic experience: I had a slight throbing pain in my right ear for around 2/3 months, after several visits to my medical practice, it still persisted. I decided to visit my dentist (Dr Strang) and through his experience was able to diagnose a muscle spasm in my upper gum. He prescribed medication and the pain was gone in 1/2 days. You cannot beat experience.

Fantastic experience: My daughter, Emilia (6 years old), was referred to Mr Strang for inhalation sedation to assist in a tooth extraction. Emilia is an extremely anxious child and was terrified of "getting the tooth out". Mr Strang and all the team were incredible with Emilia. This was Emilia's first experience of getting a local anesthetic and it was a positive one. Due to the inhalation sedation (flying carpet) Emilia was relaxed and pain free for the full procedure. We can't thank Mr Strang and the team enough, it is such a weight lifted that our child is no longer terrified of the dentist. "The flying carpet made me brave and took away my worries, I like Mr Strang, he got rid of the bad tooth"-Emilia.

Fantastic experience: I switched to this dental practice in January 2023 and have since visited a few times for treatment. All of the staff have been very pleasant and helpful. My dentist is Anna whose skill, care and professionalism has been excellent. As a life long dentist phobic due to traumatic childhood experiences, I am now able to attend appointments with only minimal anxiety, which has been a game changer for me. After years of avoidance (to the detriment of my teeth!) it’s great to be having regular appointments again. The advice given by Anna has been really helpful, she has been so patient and has succeeded where hypnosis, medication and previous dentists have failed. I am delighted with the treatment I have received and would highly recommend this dental practice. (Anna, please don’t ever leave!).

Negative experience: First time I visited this Dental practice and it's the last. I paid for a 40 min hygen visit and it was done in 10 min. I felt the treatment was rushed when I got home and checked the result in the mirror I wasn't surprised to see that bits plaque is still there. Waste of time and money. If you want professional treatment and don't want to feel like you on a factory line, look elsewhere. Update after 4 months I left the review. You only address good reviews at no point you asked me to contact you to ask me what went wrong. This show the lack of care and service you provide.

Fantastic experience: I have been undergoing treatment with Mr Strang and the dental staff involving bridge work on my upper and lower teeth which meant having several visits. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and excellent professional service. I was always kept informed and Mr Strang was exceptional giving a very high standard of service throughout my treatment. All staff are friendly and approachable and l would highly recommend the practice.

Fantastic experience: I had a check-up here in Mid-november and my experience was very positive. The dentist I saw was a very nice Greek lady and she treated me with dignity and respect. The dentist I had been seeing for around 45 years retired after being absent during lock-down and I briefly saw the other dentist in that practice. However, I found that dentist unsuitable and was left with no other option than to seek another, more suitable dentist. My husband and I decided to give Carluke Dental Studio a try and I'm so glad we did. I felt really at ease and in good hands from the minute I entered the surgery until I left. I have given 4 stars only because I have yet to have treatment, as such, but hopefully I will give 5 stars following my January visit for a scale and polish. Update...I had a scale and polish 9n 18th January and can honestly say that it is the best one I have ever received. In the past, my dentist did the scaling with a tool that scraped and chipped the tartar from my teeth, often hurting my gums in the lengthy and uncomfortable process. This time it was all done using the drill with a different attachment. It wasn't sore and it took only a few minutes. All in all, I am completely happy with my new dentist.

Negative experience: Pricing wasn't made clear leaving me with a large, unexpected bill at the end of my treatment plan

Fantastic experience: Normally ok when it comes to getting a filling i had to get re root canal treatment and was feeling very anxious about it so I was introduced to Mr strang so I could get sedation which i got on my first visit with him and he talked me through it and told me that I would not need sedation the next time because the tooth was dead . Over my 8 or 9 visit's i got my treatment and only had sedation to calm me down on my first visit and all i can say is thank you Mr strang you are a true gentleman.

Fantastic experience: After having a bad experience getting a wisdom tooth removed at a previous dentist I was very anxious and nervous to have the procedure again. I recently visited Mr Strang to have another wisdom tooth removed. Mr Strang and the team where very patient listening to my worries and concerns. They made sure the numbing injections had time to take effect before starting. Mr Strang was vocal through out, reassuring me and once the tooth was out talked me through the after care. I revisited a week later to get my stiches out, which I didn't even feel. Would highly recommend the practice and the professionalism of all of the staff.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get three roots removed and had bad experiences elsewhere. Mr Strang was very professional and talked to me throughout the procedure . I felt no pain despite one root being particularly stubborn. The following day I received a call to check how I was. I cannot thank the staff enough.

This by far in my humble opinion is one of the best if not the best Dental Practices around. Fantastic experience: Despite being an anxious dental patient, I always feel in safe hands at Carluke Dental Studio, especially in the experienced hands of Mr Strang, who is always kind, patient, careful and tolerant. He is highly skilled and has revolutionised my dental experience. 'Top up' fees are very reasonable and always clearly explained. Adele in reception is very accommodating and Alex the nurse is professional and reassuring. They even let me bring my baby or toddler! I do not live locally but travel specifically for their care. Service has also been excellent throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but praise for the staff in this dental surgery. From reception to treatment room I was looked after so well. Top class dentistry by Mr Strang, I used to dread dental appointments, now I am relaxed knowing that I am in good hands. Thank you all very much for your care! How well the staff have adapted to the new "normal" during the pandemic is exemplary. As we move into a different phase yet again they strive to make the patient experience comfortable and safe. Today I was slightly delayed because the floor of the surgery is now cleaned between patients, as well as being escorted into and out of the building. I highly recommend the practice to others.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I joined this dental practice for the first time in early June. The appointment system was easy and efficient. As we were new patients, we were given a thorough oral examination, including X-rays. Clear and comprehensive explanations were given of any issues found. We were advised that a routine descale was necessary and a further appointment was arranged for 10 days later. From the very outset, our whole experience was one of utmost efficiency and professionalism. The entire staff, including the practitioner, the assistant and reception were friendly, helpful, and inspired a feeling of confidence. We would thoroughly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Both myself and my Husband have attended Mr. Strangs dental practice for a number of years and myself recently needed some crowns and a bridge. I am so thrilled with my new porcelain teeth and hope to have 2 tooth implants as well. Mr Strang is a very talented and caring Dentist and we can highly recommend him, as well as his Dental Nurses and Receptionist, who are very professional in their work.

Fantastic experience: I have such a fear of dentists that I have not been at one for years. Due to absolute necessity I had to join a dentist and I could not have chosen a better one. From the first impressions, nice building, modern, clean fresh, to the very nice, friendly and helpful receptionist lady, then to the nicest dentist lady I have ever met, who put me at ease, and did a full check up without causing an ounce of pain to my sore teeth. I left knowing the treatment I was to have, I’m booked in for 3 more appointments and I know the exact cost of the work. I’m actually looking forward to going back and getting the work done, lovely dentist, can’t fault it.

Negative experience: I was really disappointed with the results of my dental treatment (C fast braces). My smile is worse than it was before, and throughout the treatment I had a feeling it was a 'trial and error' process, with the dentist lacking the experience to administer the orthodontic treatment. I would strongly advise against getting orthodontic treatment at Carluke dental, better spend some more and go to the specialist, it will save you lots of stress and money in the long run! The only reason, why I rate it 2 stars and not 1 is due to the friendliness of the staff, and the ease of scheduling the appointments.
