Fantastic experience: Excellent care from a professional team

Fantastic experience: I went to see Khurrum Hussain after I was diagnosed with gum disease and told by the dental hospital that they couldn't treat me. Khurrum was brilliant. During the initial consultation in June he did a full assessment, gave me a new cleaning regime and planned a course of treatment. His treatment has been successful and things are much better for me. I have been very impressed with him and all of the staff at Malt House. They have been very caring and professional.

Positive experience: Very poor at starting appointments on time. I've had several and they've been about half an hour late on average starting them. I'm writing this bored in the waiting room, 35 mins late so far....

I had a scan of my teeth done at MaltHouse a couple of months back, I rang the amazing reception team to enquire about having new retainers made and within a week they had arrived. Would 100% recommend this dental practice, the entire staff are kind and helpful with everything you need.

Fantastic experience: Zohaib Ali I went to see Zo to have a partial denture fitted after losing three loose molars a few years earlier. I had investigated implants during this time, but had reluctantly admitted that I wouldn’t be able to endure the treatment necessary to fit them: I’m squeamish about all medical procedures and have a phobia about needles, so when a sinus lift entered the equation, the possibility of implants went out of the window. But I was struggling to eat- I could only use one side of my jaw to chew and those teeth were taking quite a hammering. When I met Zo, I immediately had confidence in his abilities as a dental surgeon; his confident demeanour and the wide-ranging knowledge he displayed, as well as the empathy he expressed, made me feel that he would make sure I had as positive an experience as possible, regardless of the treatment. However, it became clear that partial dentures would not be an option for me- they would create too much pressure on my remaining teeth. It was going to be implants or nothing and it took quite a few conversations with Zo for me to believe I could go down that road. Several months and an amount of treatment later, I have three new perfectly-fitting back teeth and I can chew away as I always used to. They feel (and look) natural. Zo made the sessions more than bearable- some of them threw up complications, which he dealt with in a calm and expert manner. He is a supremely competent practitioner. And, surprisingly, there was quite an amount of laughter over the months of treatment, something which I never expected, given my aversion to all things medical (especially needles)! I still have to pinch myself that I was ‘brave’ enough to have implants fitted, but the reality is that I found a dental surgeon who could do the job to a supremely high standard whilst reassuring a patient as reluctant and jittery as I am. I would recommend Zo without hesitation. He has made ‘going to the dentist’ a tolerable, if not an almost-enjoyable, experience. With wonderful results. I’m grateful to him every time I eat a meal chewing with my whole jaw, something I didn’t believe I’d be able to do again. Thanks, Zo!

From the moment I walked into the reception i was met with a warm welcoming by two lovely ladies at reception. The dentist himself Adam was incredible, so professional, his expertise was evident, attentive and clearly passionate about his work. He took time to explain each step of the process, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed along the way. The level of care and expertise was top notch, making it a truly positive experience. Fantastic experience: I've been a customer of the Malthouse for over 20 years - mainly to see the fabulous hygienist Nina but also a very patient Adam when I took the plunge in my 50's to have Invisalign treatment. The centre is very welcoming with a great reception team (shout out for Karen!) who are friendly, helpful and professional. Communication with the centre is easy and they really do seem to genuinely care about their customers. I'm also giving a special shout out to Nina and her team. Nina is an expert in her profession - extremely knowledgeable with a strong focus on providing outstanding dental care; explaining things simply, giving you the reassurance you sometimes need that you're in good hands; and going the extra mile to help you relax when you're having an occasional unpleasant procedure! Overall - the centre, staff and services it provides are excellent and I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was treated for two root canals by Obyda Essam, the service was amazing and all the staff are very respectful. One thing that really stood out and sets Obyda apart from a usual dentist doing your root canal is his expertise in the field and his willingness to explain the issues at hand and the solutions available. I have had root canals done from my previous dental practices and none were successful or comforting. However Malt House have done a great job!

Positive experience: I was referred here for an apicectomy by my dentist after normal root canal surgery didn't fix the swelling on my gum and initially suggested to remove the infected tooth. From start to finish, Obyda Essam was excellent. He was reassuring, informative (he knew his stuff!), friendly and happy to answer my questions no matter how stupid they were! I felt confident he would do a good job and that he did - thus saving my tooth! Huge thanks to him, the nurses and the staff at this practice. The practice itself was clean and conveniently located just outside the city centre. The waiting area was comfortable and had refreshments. Slight downside (hence 4 stars) as I had to chase my referral a couple of times and Obyda was only available 1 day a week.

Fantastic experience: I have had a few appointments for root canal treatment over the last few months with Obyda Essam. I can’t recommend him enough. I’m a nervous patient and he was always calm, kind and very reassuring, checking how I was throughout the treatment. I felt very safe in his hands and he did a really good job. I’d like to send my thanks to him and all the staff at Malt house who are always so friendly.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Malt House for a number of years, having moved with my dentist Adam. I’ve also had the pleasure of having Nina as my hygienist. They’re both totally ace! The practise itself is modern and inviting, and the service has always been exemplary. All the staff are very friendly and down to earth whilst acting as the professionals they are. I have found the practise to be particularly flexible with arranging appointments and most recently when I had an urgent issue, I was able to be seen extremely quickly. Whilst private does cost more than NHS, I’d never look back at this stage. Money very well spent

Going to the dentist can cause huge anxiety issues and having work done is never nice (even self inflicted usually too much sugar) but the way Adam and the team are when you’re sat in the chair is beyond professional, the empathy, understanding of needs and care during treatment by explaining every step clearly, listening to you and your opinion and beyond is exceptional, Malt House is the place to go for dental care, it can be pricey but when a dentist listens and takes the patients advice that’s priceless. Fantastic experience: Working in the dental profession myself it’s hard to find really good clinicians who are ethical and skilled but also friendly and gentle. Im really glad I chose Adam for my recent dental work - he has treated both me and my partner for a number of procedures including a difficult crown preparation and he has been fantastic! Very informative and conservative and had managed to save my pre molar tooth. Nina the hygienist is as always outstanding and the best in her field and the rest of the team are super friendly. Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience, as someone who does genuinely take good care of My teeth, but had not been to the dentist in a few years and did not actually have any problems after my check-up... I have been instantly (from my first check-up) inspired to come back for some additional treatments and procedures that I did not know were available. I've now been in twice within a month, my teeth are feeling superb and I have two more appointments already booked for the next two months. Fantastic experience: As a very nervous patient, when attending Malt House for the first time this week I was put at ease from the moment I arrived! The parking spaces directly outside mean there's no stress getting there, and the reception team are all very kind and welcoming too. The comfortable waiting area in this beautiful old building has drinks, magazines and WiFi to help you relax until being collected by the friendly staff. Adam Franks was really great in explaining my treatment at every stage, and helping me keep on top of my nerves throughout. I can't thank him enough for looking after me so well, and for doing such brilliant work to get my teeth in great shape for the future!

Fantastic experience: I got recommended hygienist Nina by my dentist from a different clinic and I was pleasantly surprised how professional, attentive to detail and friendly she is. I have been struggling with bleeding gums for years and after two visits and a change of my own daily routine guided by Nina, this issue is now in the past. I remember how embarrassed I would feel if someone would walk into the bathroom while I was brushing my teeth, now it’s something I don’t have to think about at all. I also wanted to say don’t underestimate the work that you can get done in the hygienist chair. Regarding the clinic itself - also 10/10. Communication is on point and also it’s very convenient with the car park right in front of the main entrance, rarity in Manchester City centre.

Fantastic experience: Malt House Dental Centre is an amazing dental practice. The staff and the doctors are very helpful, friendly and attentive. My dentist (Adam Franks) always takes the time to explain everything and set clear expectations. He has proven very trustworthy in diagnosing and fixing dental issues. The quality of the dental work has also so far proven outstanding. I've had the same dentist my entire life, and having to switch recently felt a bit intimidating but the team at Malt House ensured it was an easy and straightforward task.

Fantastic experience: The guys here are simply wonderful! Returned from my second visit and I couldn’t be happier. I was in so much discomfort and now it’s gone. Adam is an amazing dentist! Very thorough, explains everything, takes the time to listen and answer questions, ensures his work is to a high standard and generally cares about his profession and his patients. His attention to detail is faultless! His nurse, Holly is a sweetheart The reception girls are so sweet and kind as well. Kirsty is an absolute joy! The interior is very beautiful, clean and stylish, the waiting room upstairs is like an elegant hotel and it’s so peaceful. You can help yourself to hot and cold drinks there. There’s a little car park out front too which is free and a nice bonus for a practise in the city. It’s easy to get to as well and is just on the edge of the city so traffic isn’t that much of a pain to navigate. Love the team here and very happy I found them. I’m a fan! x

Negative experience: Drove there twice, and both times the dentist has been eating his lunch rather than keeping to my appointment time and asked me to wait half an hour. I asked for a refund and left. Waste of time

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my dental practice for an extensive type treatment/reconstruction, to Dr Zohaib Ali. The place itself is very nice, clean and cosy, the staff are great, very good communication (reminders, calls, texts etc) and very helpful. Most importantly, I'm so grateful for such a great dental expert like Zohaib. He is a perfectionist and so is his work; great attitude, understanding and finesse. Also, the hygienist there, Nina Ainsworth, is amazing, does a proper cleaning and explains everything you need to know about maintenance. Sent there my partner as well, and I'll bring my daughter as well for a good clean. Highly recommend the place and the dentist (I don't know the other ones, I'm sure they're good as well).

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the periodontist here khurrum Hussain who was extremely thorough and supportive when I had a problem Post treatment . He arranged for me to be seen by a colleague as an emergency to save a tooth when he could easily and more quickly have just done an extraction. I’m very grateful to him and his staff including Pedro who was in regular contact . The only thing they need to sort is the car directions to malthouse on the website! Otherwise brilliant .

From the start, Malt House makes everything calm, and relaxing - so much so that we joke about having a nap in the waiting area. From the front of house reception team, who answer all of your questions around scheduling and billing with limitless patience, to the actual dental work, where everything is explained, where you are treated as a partner in your treatment rather than a patient, to the lasting impact of having the issues corrected, Malt House are determined that your experience will be positive. I will be back in 6 months, to check that the treatment plan is still on schedule and going well, and I can honestly say I would recommend this practice to anyone, but especially those who are nervous around dental practitioners. Fantastic experience: Excellent Dental practice with amazing modern equipment. I promise that if you need an injection - you won't feel it. The needle is hair width and whatever they put in it is INSTANT. Xray? it's a scanner, quick quiet - no lead shields to hold. It's not expensive either.

Fantastic experience: I have been so pleased with the way I’ve been looked after by Oby. I had a knock to my front tooth which left it out of place and I was extremely upset by it. I was told by my dentist I may need root canal treatment and he referred me to the malt house. Oby was so very patient with me and my worries and over a period of time kept checking whether the tooth was ok or not. We decided after 18 months that the best way forward was to have the root canal so that I can have my teeth re straightened without any complications. I had gotten myself in such a flap about having this treatment but I can honestly say, it was quite relaxing and completely pain free. Oby is a true professional and so very talented, I am so grateful for the way I’ve been looked after. All of the staff at the malt house are lovely too. Thank you again Amy.

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom tooth extracted today and before I could know it, it was taken out by Dr.Adam Franks. He is marvellous. He explained me everything and then we proceeded further. From my prior experience of wisdom tooth extraction that was a scary one but this one I can tell you 100% was a breeze. He even suggested me to book a follow up checkup. Never seen such a generous place and the lovely staff. I have always been scared of visiting a dentist but today after visiting Dr. Franks in such a pain I am no more afraid of the Dentists anymore.

As soon as you walk through the door you are met with two smiling faces in Karen and Shaun who are always on hand to tend to any of your (dental related) needs. Lovely people to chat too and make my jokes always seem funny. As for Adam and Mark, you could not get a better pair of dentists. Professional, caring, witty and there to help you get those pearly whites you think you could only dream of. Ellie and the team of dental assistants are always on absolute top notch form. Again professional, caring and also always making sure I don't drown from my own saliva. The whole team are fantastic and I would recommend this practice to anyone, well I already am. Fantastic experience: Having visited Malt House for nearly 20 years I have experienced the very best treatment with such long lasting benefit, and continue to do so with confidence. However this is made possible by the location which is always pleasant, welcoming, tidy and warm. But especially all the staff without exception are friendly, efficient and professional. This all amounts to a great and consistent customer experience which is why there are now 3 members of the family who visit the Malt House. And because they have been so brilliant, a forth member will be visiting the BUPA branch in Sevenoaks in the new year. Well done to everyone and Very Happy Christmas!

Fantastic experience: The staff are lovely and extremely welcoming. Also a very clean and modern interior, which always helps! Had 3 dental appointments and all 3 were booked in quickly, wasn't waiting long to be seen either. Will definitely be going back for future check-ups.

Positive experience: I see Adam my dental hygienist every six month. He is very encouraging and I do appreciate his honest feedback on whats going well and tips for improvement. There is ample parking which is key. I dont particularly like driving into the city but the service is great so its a journey I am willing to make.

Fantastic experience: This dentistry practice is great, for so many reasons. From the lovely staff at the front desk to the dentists and assistants, everyone is welcoming and friendly. I had the unfortunate need for a root canal, Adam Franks, Holly, and Ellie made it as pleasant an experience as it could be. I was explained every step of the way so I understood what was going to happen, they made sure the anaesthetic fully took so there was no discomfort at all, and checked in with me regularly during the procedure to ensure everything was alright. I have never been afraid of the dentist, but the team at Malt House Dentist Centre made it almost an enjoyable experience, and that is a rare thing.

Fantastic experience: Adam is clearly a very good dental surgeon which is why the Malt House was recommended as I needed to see a specialist for my Crown. I have other crowns but this, you’d never be able to tell it was a crown. I’m so impressed and will be going back for other work when I’ve saved enough money. Dr Yousrah are delightful and very caring person and we done lots of brilliant job together. It is a privilege to learn from her. One of the best teacher, in this profession. Fantastic experience: I've been a patient since 2021. All the staff at the practice are personable and together helped deliver excellent patient care through the entire process. I sought treatment from Dr Obyda Essam, a specialist in endodontics. He is very highly skilled at what he does and knowledgable on the subject. My treatment was successful, fingers crossed it stays this way. I will seek advice and treatment from Dr Essam again if I have any future complications without hesitation.

Negative experience: It was so bad and charged me 125£ for nothing .I knew what is my problem and charged me this amount

Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience. All staff very nice .we phoned to book appointment for my daughter chipped tooth and they took us on the same day couple of hours later. Dr.Adam Franks and his assistant Isabel couldn't be more helpful:)we really appreciate your service and thanks again.I would highly recommend. Car park not hard to find either. At the security gate turn right and right again after the bridge.

Fantastic experience: Best dental practice I've ever visited. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the practice is so lovely and clean. Currently seeing Dr Khurrum Hussain for treatment and I can't praise him enough. So professional and knowledgeable on his area of work. Treatment so far has been surprisingly pain free and all follow on advice and support have been amazing. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I needed to see a specialist for root canal treatment because the tooth was too complicated to treat. Obyda has successfully treated the teeth, he is a highly skilled endodontist who thoroughly explained how he would carry out this treatment. He was also very polite and made me feel comfortable during the procedure, as he stated that if I had any concerns, I could tell him at any point. The staff members were also all polite and friendly. I would strongly recommend Obyda to anyone in need of root canal treatment because he is a highly skilled Endodontist who was able to successfully treat the teeth when other dentist were unable to do so due to complications. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Mr Obyda Essam by my dentist as the treatment of this tooth was too difficult for my dentist to complete. Obyda is clearly a very skilled endodontist. He successfully treated my tooth, saving it from having to be extracted and the site of infection has now completely healed. On a personal level he treated me very respectfully and made me feel like a valued patient. Obyda, his nurses and the ladies on reception were all very friendly and welcoming, creating a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Obyda to anyone needing root canal treatment. He is highly talented, you'll be in very safe hands.
