Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 I would. Amazing receptionist who was my first contact, Karen. Explained everything, just a pleasure to go to a dentist. My dentist was Eleanor ( Nellie) & nurse Rebecca. I'm usually very anxious going to the dentist. Just the opposite, even the injections were fine. Very professional, friendly and reassuring. I was seen on the first day for advice as I was totally not satisfied by my previous dentist. Total examination and x-rays, no pressure. Well worth a one off cost of £65. My front lose front tooth could be replaced. I was seen the next day for an hour's treatment. For a new replacement prep post crown. Amazing 3d technology to get it spot on. Without the cost of an implant. I would totally recommend this practice. Thank for restoring my faith in going to the dentist. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist

Fantastic experience: Called with issue, got me in next day, not with my usual dentist but all good. Unfortunately it didn't quite work/last I was still in the area so called back in and within 40mins was back in the chair, and week later all is still good.

Positive experience: Hygiene and Dental care are very good but getting to your practice on time is getting very difficult due to unexpected traffic holdups and no specific parking at the practice. The wait between appointments was too long with no explanation. Hopefully this can be resolved at my next appointment in August. Maurice.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Hughes and Owen after I had stopped going to my previous NHs dentist. I am a nervous patient but leonie was very nice and put me at ease straight away . The staff all seem lovely and it is a nice peaceful atmosphere when you walk in .

Negative experience: At first my experience with this dentist was good, I was so nervous and the dentist put me at ease went through everything and I felt comfortable, the fillings and treatments are very pricey compared to other dentists in burton but I thought this was worthit, I booked in for an appointment, but had to cancel due to having covid I booked again went for the appointment for a filling everything was fine, I booked an appointment again, this time I had a message to say that the dentist had cancelled my appointment!, which was fine I've rang again today to ring and Rebook only to be told that the dentist is refusing to treat me because of too many cancelled appointments! When I asked about my deposit they said that the dentist had taken it, the receptionist was lovely about it and it's a shame she has to face the consequences of a stuck up dentist who quite frankly is only it for the money, I am disgusted as already I've spent a reasonable amount of money only to be told that, I also am a private patient which again is not cheap! I am absolutely furious about how I've been treated and will be recommending others to use other dentists that will treat people correctly, and think about people's mental health

Fantastic experience: I called yesterday to see if it was possible to move to an earlier appointment, the team all worked hard to get me and my daughters in early and seen quicker too. I really appreciate it and I know the girls did too! Wonderfully staff, Mr Richards and his nurse are both so lovely too! Kind, caring, make you feel relaxed. The best dentist we have ever had!!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous when I first arrived at Hughes and Owen Dentist but from first meeting Julie the receptionist then the nurse and Ravi Taliti my dentist I felt slightly easier one week later I had 5 teeth removed under local anaesthetic, the team were amazing and I felt no pain. I have further appointments but I know I will be looked after. I cannot put into words how amazing, kind and so professional they all were. If you’re nervous then give them a call.

Completely non-judgemental, giving me great advice and taking time to both understand my needs and a plan for my teeth. Actually looking forward to getting my teeth sorted out.

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely petrified of going to the dentist ! but I plucked up the courage and went to have a tooth implant. From start to finish it was amazing ! Didn’t feel any pain at all. Was asked constantly if I was ok. Ravi and team were absolutely amazing throughout this whole experience and if asked if I would do it again then a big YES from me. All the staff are friendly and helpful & I never struggle to get an appointment to my suiting. Recently my little girl has joined as an NHS patient and the staff are always so patient and reassuring with her so she enjoys her dentist visit.

Fantastic experience: Came to see the Dentist and Hygienist. Reception staff very friendly, helped with my queries. Hygienist and Dentist both really lovely as well as Dental Nurses. Very quick to be seen and made me feel very welcomed into the practice.

Fantastic experience: I’m a very very anxious patient and Ravi was extremely kind and patient with me, the dental nurse and himself made me feel very safe and at ease, the procedure when explained was very daunting to me but was over with in minutes and pain free. I have had traumatic experiences at other dentists in the past and this has given me such anxiety but I plucked up courage and booked in at this practice as a private patient. , and I’m so glad I did…. I have a return appointment, still nervous but not so scared. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: After having bad experiences at dentists growing up, I was so nervous to go back to one after avoiding them for years. I'm so happy to have found a dentist that listens, cares, and does everything they can to help. Dr Henna Uddin has really fixed my smile, and I am no longer self conscious showing it off. Would recommend to anyone, especially those that have lost their confidence in dentists, as they are so reassuring and always make sure you are happy with the results.

Fantastic experience: Annette Davies was excellent. I had some pretty difficult fillings to have but she persevered and did a brilliant job - really pleased with the result and appreciate the hard work that was needed. And ALL the staff are always friendly and professional. Thank you.

Negative experience: Money grabbing. Have spent thousands here on ‘recommended’ treatments, but when i no longer needed the extra teeth cleaning that I had requested for cosmetic reasons, they would not put me on a lower monthly plan, and have subsequently dropped myself and my kids from their books. Incidentally , kids teeth checks are honestly not even a cursory look at their teeth- obviously a waste of their time when kids are automatically nhs so wont generate massive profit!

Fantastic experience: Attended Hughes and Owen dental practice this morning for a couple of rather tricky fillings. It’s been a very long time since I needed any actual treatment and have to confess I was nervous. Shouldn’t have worried. Christina explained what needed to be done really well from start to finish. She was so kind and gentle and put me at ease. So pleased with the outcome of my visit. Thank you so much Christina and also your dental nurse assistant whose name I don’t know. I’ll try not to worry next time!!

Fantastic experience: Mrs Davies whom is my dentist,, is so approachable. She listens and informs you of all you need to know. She is kind, caring. She does all my procedures as she would do her own. She has high proffessional standards and aims to do treatments to her high standards. I can't thank her and the team enough for my wonderful new smile!! I have been coming to this dental practice for all of my life and would not want to go any where else. The receptionists are kind and approachable aswell. I have known Julie since our school days. Negative experience: I attended the appointment. I was not informed in advance how much this was going to cost. It seemed to be considerably more than last time. I was also recommended to have a hygenist appointment. Again I was not told how much this would cost. When I buy something from a shop, the price is clearly displayed. You should inform patients of the cost in the same way.

Although new to the practice, personal details and medical history were efficiently handled in minutes, electronically, via hand-held tablet aided by receptionist. First dental appraisal very thorough and unrushed and generally made to feel welcome. Based on first visit, expectations are high for good service and excellent dental care. Watch this space.

Fantastic experience: As always, a thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly service. We were particularly dubious about the scale and polish, but the advantages were clearly, and politely, explained. I can never admit to enjoying a visit to the dentist, but with the understanding and compassion of Julie, Christina, Leonie, and Phil, amongst the others whose names I cannot remember, I am no longer scared to go to the dentist!

Positive experience: I have only given 4 stars because I`m a very nervous patient and enjoying a visit to the dentist has never been at the top of my list However.The surgery is bright and airy and reception staff are very warm and friendly. I have only been treated by two members of the dental team, Paul and Christina, both of whom were sympathetic and extremely professional, caring and very tuned in to nervous patients. I can thoroughly recommend this practice -nervous patient or not!
