Welcome to mydentist Gloucester Road North, Bristol. We currently have 3 clinicians and a hygienist in our team who cover a variety of NHS, private and myoptions treatment plans including bridges, implants and take home teeth whitening. We are situated at the Filton roundabout, a 2 minute walk away from Golf Course Lane bus stop bus stop and a 19 minute walk away from Filton Abbey Wood train station. There is parking on available at the practice if you are travelling by car. We welcome all patients to our practice and ensure all individuals are treated with the utmost care and attention from our highly skilled staff. If you have any questions, please give us a call. My emergency was dealt with, Pri undertook a cancer screening as part of my appointment and took the time to explain what she was doing and what I needed to do going on. Fantastic experience: My snapped 40yr old crown was replaced by a NHS plate of a single tooth The plate is a brilliant fit, first time!. I usually insist on sedation as I'm a very nervous patient, prone to panic attacks, but Pri managed the situation SO well, I was amazed how I stayed calm. I'm 77 with 17 crowns so I've seen more than my fair share of dentists over the years thank goodness I now have Prasangi.

Negative experience: Been told how good this place was but don’t seem to be good see on the nhs website it says they taking nhs patients but every time you talk to them nah got to pay private well sadly not everyone has the money to afford private if I could I would have ages ago but I cannot so again since ok still searching for a dentist and yet all I see is false advertisement which Dosent help anyone at all either change it or help us that are on the low income scheme to gain free nhs dentist care

The website does advise we are accepting new patients however, this is referring to the Private services we offer. Our Clinicians offer Private care out side of their NHS contractual hours. The practice holds its own NHS contract and therefore can only accept new NHS patients when capacity allows. We do advise patients to keep in regular contact with the practice to receive updates as to when we will be accepting new NHS patients. Negative experience: I felt part of a conveyor belt of patients. The dentist I met on my first visit grilled me about my teeth with no interest. I felt I was being tested to be caught out rather than having a conversation. It felt an unwarm experience and they just wanted to get me x-rayed and gone. Also the appointment started 15 minutes late with no apology or explanation. I was asked to return for a checkup in 3 months but without a suggested treatment plan, so it seemed I was paying for another appointment with no progress. I went to cancel the appointment today, whereupon I was told they don't give refunds. I was not told this at the time of making the deposit. Maybe it was a slip in concentration from the receptionist (who was really nice). I don't like giving bad reviews but I’m so disappointed that I can’t find a welcoming, friendly dentist in Bristol. Perhaps I’ll find one that's not part of a chain and have more luck.

Fantastic experience: I registered with my dentist as I needed to get an emergency appointment, I spoke with Bridget on reception who could not have bent over backwards to find an appointment for me that fitted in with work, Bridget was calm, kind and very understanding. On the day of my appointment Bridget was on reception and again she was really kind as I was nervous about being told off for not going to a dentist in years. When I saw Deepa the dentist and Aggie the dental nurse I was so surprised at how friendly and kind they both were also. Deepa actually took the time to explain different options and Aggie was very reassuring, I was expecting a telling off for not going to a dentist in years due to the cost but Deepa and Aggie was very understanding. Once my treatment plan had been put in place I go back to Bridget to sort another appointment and again Bridget was very patient with me helping me to find another appointment, I know dental treatment is expensive but I will definitely stay with this dental practice as I am nervous about going to dentists and I was really put at ease thank you all so much

Fantastic experience: Dr Pri & Mackenzie are the dental dream team! Recently had to book an emergency appointment after coming down with a bad toothache keeping me awake all night. They were extremely thorough getting to the underlying issue and were also kind enough to book me in for a follow up appointment the next week to make sure all was ok. Fantastic experience: I have had lots of work done on my teeth here by Emma Thomas and her assistant and I have nothing but praise for them. Emma is a fantastic dentist and is always so thorough and always does a brilliant job. She is also a friendly and kind lady. 10 out of 10! EDIT - I said to Erika who is a hygenist that I would write her a review. Erika is very friendly and professional and always does a thorough clean of my teeth and after they look so much better! Thanks Erika! Highly reccomend her as a hygenist and I wouldn't want to use anyone else!

Fantastic experience: My family have regularly visited this dental practice over the last 15 years. Deepa has always been very friendly and approachable. She has offered valuable advice on dental hygiene and the repercussions of not maintaining a good daily routine. I am so glad that she continues to serve NHS patients so well. In addition, the reception staff are all so helpful and accommodating. The high number of patients that use this practice is testament to the fantastic service provided. Would highly recommend!

Negative experience: This has been my dentist for years. I have now found out that their NHS dentist has left which they aren't looking to actively recruit. My son is 4 years old and they have cancelled his review. My family is a low income and would be entitled to free dentistry, but this doesn't seem to matter as all dentists seem to be going private.
I am sorry to hear your feedback and would like to reassure you that our NHS patients are extremely important to us. Unfortunately like many other dental practices across the UK, the practice is suffering from a lack of NHS dentists and due to this is struggling to keep up with NHS patient demand. The volume of NHS patients wanting care is significantly more than the practice can now accommodate. This NHS dentistry challenge has been widely reported in the media, as increasing numbers of individual dentists are personally choosing to only work on a private basis. As the number of NHS dentists in the UK is limited, recruitment of NHS dentists is becoming increasingly more difficult and NHS appointments and NHS provision is being affected. As a company mydentist is conscious of this challenge and conscious that many patients are now able to only access private care. To help patients with this we have worked with private dentists to offer private care as affordable as possible. We do understand that a lack of NHS provision is frustrating, and we do remain committed to NHS dentistry and exploring ways to expand NHS care.

Fantastic experience: Hi I had check up appt with Pri 11th March which went well and I had my clean and polish with Pri today. When I say I will usually hit the ceiling with the clean, as I have very sensitive teeth, she was very understanding and made me feel comfortable, as did her assistant ( sorry I don't know proper title). Fantastic experience: This is my usual dentists & I have visited for check ups & treatment for many years. Recently I needed a check up & today had my treatment. I'm very pleased as regards Dr Munasinghe's efficiency & very polite manner also that of the nursing assistant Mackenzie. Negative experience: I lost confidence in this dentist as it was suggested I could have a 1000 pound hygenist appointment. I went to a different hygenist at a different practice who complimented me on my dental hygene
