Positive experience: Sadly the overly aggressive receptionist who would not let us make an appointment with the Senior partner, meant the whole family (who also experienced problems), decided to leave! Junior dentist one family member saw gave him a list of work ‘to do’ in his mouth which a London dentist said was unnecessary. Filing teeth was suggested which i did not do & as my dentist explained it would alter my bite & he would not recommend such a procedure…disappointing but would not return.

My last 2 sessions have been excellent unfortunately i can't remember the first Dental Hygenist who was exceptional as was her Assistant My last treatment with Magda and her assistant was again exceptional Magda made me feel welcomed and was very informative and engaging all through my time whilst in her and her assistants care. Fantastic experience: We had a 20 minute journey to get to no.65 that turned into 45 minutes (thanks staycation!), that left us 10 minutes late for our appointments. The team were very understanding and friendly from the start. We both needed further appointments and the team then managed to find us 3 appointments together (despite being obviously very busy), to help cut down on our travelling time. I used to suffer anxiety over trips to the dentist but I have complete confidence in the professional ability of practitioners at No 65, during this visit Dan and Hannah addressed a concern there and then, for which I’m grateful. I brought my granddaughters here as the NHS were planning on mass extractions! (Preventative!??) ...none were carried out, which has saved their second teeth too, so glad we did this... it’s sad that at least one generation will suffer consequences later in life from inadequate dental health care. Fantastic experience: Having had a bad childhood experience, I dreaded going to the dentist even though I have always had regular check ups. However, after reading the reviews on No 65, I decided to move here as I also wanted to see if I could have my front teeth straightened. From the first consultation, I immediately felt at ease and Mark gave me the best advice as to my options. I have been through the clear aligner process and am absolutely thrilled with the results. Just as importantly though, I am now not at all fearful of treatments and could have anything done that is required so if you are someone fearful, do give this place a try. If I can overcome it, anyone can! Also The hygienist Rona is fantastic, as well as Jackie on reception. These are mentioned by name only because they are the people I have had personal contact with but everyone seems really friendly and brilliant at what they do. I thoroughly recommend No 65.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic team who look after you. Like many with a fear of the dentist and increasing wisdom tooth pain I bit the bullet and contacted No.65 after they were recommended to me. Following on from the initial consultation, Paul and the team put me at ease before and during the extraction. I couldn't praise them high enough and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always hated the dentist, from a young age my relationship with my teeth was never the best. Late teenage years I developed an eating disorder (bulimia) which took over my life. My dental hygiene was on the back burner, as my bulimia took control. I’m an extremely smiley person and my smile is a huge part of my face! Along side my diet my teeth were being destroyed, but the relationship I had with my dentist just wasn’t there. I hated going and was too ashamed of showing anyone what damage I had done to my teeth. Until I stumbled across this dental practise. My first appointment I ended up going in with my mum! The lady behind the desk who’s name has escaped me!!! She had already been in contact with my mum, having known my history with my eating disorder and my utter phobia of the dentist. She assigned me to Paul! Which I can’t thank her enough for. The whole dental practise, Paul, the lady behind the front desk (sorry I forgot your name!) the lovely hygienist Rona! Every appointment I have been to, I’ve been made to feel confident about my teeth again, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a way of fixing my teeth! Both with the work they will be doing and how they’ve changed my attitude and behaviours with my teeth. My situation is an extremely sensitive subject, but I’ve never come across a team of people who really want the best outcome for you. They are the best dental practise I’ve ever come across and ever will come across! I can’t thank them enough, they’ve honestly changed my life and my treatments have not even started yet!!! They’ll never know how much they’ve done for my confidence and thank you really isn’t enough! I live in Bude and do a 60 mile round trip! This is how amazing they are!

Fantastic experience: I have very recently joined the practice having moved into the area at the end of last year. My initial appointment was very thorough & a follow-up appointment was made for me to see the hygienist. I have turned up today for that 2 hours early. Now I don't know who has made the error in appointment time - it could well be me BUT i have to say the 2 receptionists were not only very apologetic but have gone out of their way to resolve the problem. As I come from 15 miles away on the bus, appointments have to be fitted in around bus times. The 2 ladies went to great extremes to fit me in today & this resulted in the hygienist altering her lunch break so I could be seen within the hour. On top of that they also made me a lovely cup of coffee whilst I waited. Many thanks ladies- you have certainly gone the extra mile for me today. I look forward to being a regular patient at No 65.

Fantastic experience: Following years of anxiety about dentists after traumatic treatment in the 60's/70's, this left me with a serious phobia about dentists and oral dental health. Finally, with tooth loss and family pressure, I bit the bullet (figuratively speaking !) and decided to look at the options available and consulted my current dentist who only gave the option of denture plates, nothing else would work. Having a serious gag reflex, this was not an option as I would not be able to either have the fitting or use of a denture. A friend had heard of No 65 in Wadebridge and suggested i call them to ask about implants - this I did and within 2 days had an appointment with Mark Durnall. What a difference to every previous dentist experience - here was a professional who explained everything in language that was free of jargon and made sense. He did a full review and confirmed that I could have other options other than just a denture - the most sensible being the "smile-in-a-day" implant treatment. At no time was I pressured into any decision, all options were considered and Mark and his team could not have been any more helpful. After discussions with my family, I agreed to go for the fitting of a top implant and a full timetable and cost plan was given with everything explained fully as to what would happen and, more importantly, why. Very professional BUT very friendly and the welcome from everyone at the surgery could not have been more appreciated. Following up, a couple of pre-treatment visits (Hannah the hygienist - a star! Helped get things on track ready and, again, explained WHY things were needed and when). Day of the surgery went well, temporary set and I can honestly say I never had any paid or discomfort from the op, amazing. Liquid diet for 5 weeks (they don't tell you how much weight you will lose - bonus!). Few more visits for review and just had the final set fitted - could not be more pleased. A big thank you also to James, the Dental Lab - fantastic job! In summary, have been well impressed with the treatment, welcome and most of all the professionality of Mark and everyone at No 65, I could not praise them enough. It is amazing how much more confidence I feel now - I can actually smile without being self-conscious! Thank you all, Les

Or in 21st century terms: I can't thank dentist Andrew Paterson and dental nurse Kate Chapman enough for making sure that I will be boarding my holiday flight to Canada with less than 5 days to go. After a couple of days at the end of last week with a sudden onset of pain and a trip for antibiotics on Saturday morning to the out of hours dental clinic at Bodmin hospital (our beleaguered but wonderful NHS dental service for out of hours absolute emergencies), I had an emergency appointment at Number 65 this morning. My morning appointment was rapidly re-scheduled, after examination, into a lengthy late afternoon appointment. 'Root canal work' are not words anybody wants to hear - but Andrew was very careful to ensure he didn't cause any further pain in the initial examination, quickly diagnosed the problem and, taking into account my travel plans, he and Kate went beyond the call of duty to see that I would be making that flight. Throughout my long appointment both practitioners were quick to inform me, consult me, act on my responses, and reassure me: Andrew explaining what he was doing during each stage of the process, and Kate giving expert and caring clinical care. (Thank you for the blanket, Kate!) As a patient of seven years with this practice, the standard of care continues to be consistently high, from first contact with a dental receptionist, through to consultation, dental treatment itself, and follow up aftercare.
