Fantastic experience: I have recently had to change appointments due to changes in work commitments and the receptionist is always accommodating, understanding and helpful. It puts me at ease as a nervous patient just knowing everyone is friendly and caring.

Fantastic experience: Dr Vilan is so kind and very patient. Apart from obviously being very good at his work, he really takes the time to explain everything. He has a gentle approach and manner. I would especially recommend him to anyone who is nervous about going to the Dentist.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Dental practice all the staff are very friendly , welcoming and make you feel at ease. Sarah the Dentist is always happy and cheerful and always provides a thorough explanation of what she is going to do and why and discusses the cost of the treatment. I have been coming here for some years now and am very satisfied with the service provided by the practice
Fantastic experience: I have recerntly had some emergency treatment completed at mydentist after a period of time post covid where I had dropped off as an NHS patient. I have been treated with respect and a warm and friendly attitude by the reception staff, dentists and dental nurses. I have subsequently rejoined as an NHS patient and have had treatments needed completed quickly with a strong level of aftercare too. I would highly recommend this dentist to my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I had problems with a back top tooth and saw a lovely dentist called Dr Leena Abdalla in My Dentist today, she immediately made me feel relaxed and calm. She is so easy to talk to. My options were explained and I went for a tooth extraction. My experience from start to finish was perfect Dr Leena explained everything to me in detail and ensured I was in no pain whatsoever. I will definitely go back to Dr Leena she was Brilliant.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE SERVICE. I went to register as a new NHS Customer but was shocked when they said they only take Private customers (MONEY MAGNETS) I found this rude, cruel and heartless especially as I told them I am a disabled Royal Navy Veteran and deserve courtesy and respect.
Fantastic experience: Phone enquiries are answered promptly. Appointments are easily scheduled & rescheduled if need be, & brought forward if you're in urgent pain. My dentist, Sarah, diagnoses & deals with any dental issues efficiently & effectively, whilst explaining clearly what she's doing. Bikram, the dental hygienist, is thorough in cleaning my teeth, patiently illustrating how I should be looking after my teeth between appointments. The reception staff are welcoming & efficient. Reminders of appointments are sent out the week before & the days before
Fantastic experience: I have been attending this dentist since my children were tiny, taking them along with their older siblings to get them used to going to the dentist. I have been taking all three for years and seen the same lovely dentist. I am so grateful to have an NHS dentist and something I never take for granted. Positive experience: I attended this dental practice with severe pain due to an abscess which had flared up after biting on something hard while eating. This was on Friday morning. I was told by the receptionist that she would try to fit me in to see the dentist but after waiting four hours I was told this was not possible. After being turned away with a suggestion to return on Monday if I was still in pain I suffered another sleepless night in pain before contacting NHS Dental Emergency the next morning who were unable to find any dentist accepting emergencies until the Monday. I therefore had no alternative but to attend A&E the next morning (Sunday) where I waited four hours to see a doctor who prescribed antibiotics after studying an X-ray which confirmed the infection. Had I been allowed to see the dentist two days earlier at the practice all this aggregation could have been avoided. I contacted the practice the next day to make an appointment but none was available for three weeks. When I attended the practice three weeks later the dentist did a thorough diagnosis but I had to wait five weeks for the problem to be sorted as the practice is still under severe pressure. The dentist did an excellent job of removing two teeth and even telephoned me personally to ensure the stitches were removed in good time. I am now to attend the practice in two weeks time for what I hope will be a final check. The dentist showed great skill and did an excellent job it is just a pity that I had to suffer so much to achieve a good outcome,
Fantastic experience: Sarah is as good a dentist as you can get. I wouldn't change her for all the money in the world, her expertise is second to none, and her customer care and attention is outstanding. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic experience: This was my 1st visit to the dentist since 2018 due to the pandemic and my own nervousness. I was aware my gum disease had worsened so saw bikram ? The hygienist who instantly put me at my ease he educated me in the proper use interdental brushes and where I may have gone wrong . He proceeded to clean my teeth which obviously wasn't pain free but felt and looked great when it was all finished I'm even looking forward to my return in 2months. Thanks My dentist
Fantastic experience: When I joined, I hadn't seen a Dentist for a fair while and they made me feel less nervous about going back, didn't judge me on how long I'd not been. They also didn't make me feel too much pain for any work so far as the dentist was gentle compared to my previous dentist.
Fantastic experience: Since switching Dental practice some years ago, I have always experienced excellent dental care at ‘My Dentist’ from reception through routine check-ups to more significant work. I would unreservedly recommend’My Dentist’.
Negative experience: Tried to book a dental checkup and a very rude receptionist told me that I was taken off their register. BUT NO PROBLEM TO BOOK ME PRIVATELY! Last time, they cancelled my appointment for which I waited longer than a month, and re-scheduled me for an inconvenient time further down the line. No warning, nothing. I was treated like it was my fault that their dentist cancelled the original appointment and that they have no appointments available.
Negative experience: Phoned to make an appointment but was told I’d been taken off their nhs records as I hadn’t been in 2years to see the dentist. I told the obnoxious receptionist that I had been a year ago for the hygienist and nobody asked me to book the dentist or warned me that it had to be used in 2years. They also called me a week ago to try to book another hygienist appointment and again didn’t say anything then about the dentist. When I asked this, she told me it’s down to the patient to research this. They were closed for covid then had limited appointments straight after so it was difficult to book. I asked to speak to a manager, was then handed over to an even more obnoxious receptionist. I asked to speak to a manager again and she said she’d get one to call me, they never did. They are just trying to push their private services and don’t care about their nhs patients. Very disappointing service. Now close impossible to find an nhs dentist.
Positive experience: Great dentist. Had a bridge implanted and the results are brilliant. Also gave my two front teeth a little care to make them look much nicer. The only reason it’s not a five is because of the time it took for the whole process.

Fantastic experience: My dentist, Sarah, is the first dentist who has managed to calm me in the dentist chair. When I first had an appointment with Sarah, I was at a crisis point and needed treatment, this was causing me a great deal of worry and sleepless nights - and after bad experiences, I had put the dentist off until I couldn’t anymore. Sarah was kind, patient and honest, and addressed the fact that I was a nervous patient. Once that was on the table, it was like a weight was lifted. In all of my interactions since, she has been so kind, talking me through every step and what it will feel like, she’s a true credit to the company and to the profession. I’m really grateful to Sarah, because she’s changed my relationship with the dentist chair… and I no longer worry about my teeth or going to appointments! The impact of that should not be under estimated. Thank you!
Negative experience: Terrible!! Try to speak to the lady to book an appointment she wasn’t helpful at all. Apparently we’re not in the system anymore!! how come? Keep repeating the same the she was saying. Not helpful.
Fantastic experience: UPDATE 2 - I had a split tooth with underlying infection which was treated by the most gentle and compassionate of dentists and her assistant. Recovery has been straight forward. Everyone at the practice was patient and polite even with the amount of pressure they are under with extreme staff shortages. UPDATE - the practice like many places is working with a staff shortage and COVID protective rules in place. Following an early morning call they have triaged me in for an appointment. The general feeling is that private patients take precedence over NHS but this is the same for most, if not all practices from what I see and hear. My original review which I marked as 1* is below and I will leave as is but am changing my opinion and rating based on more understanding of the situation. ORIGINAL "I never write reviews but....I've been with this dentist for 20 years or so. 6 months ago I phoned for an emergency appointment but told only if in extreme pain. I managed pain but it has increasingly deteriated. Phoned today to be told only emergency appointments but none available. Then to contact sister surgery and pay for check up - then pay for further treatment. When asked if this was going private told no I would still be registered NHS but this was a paid option !!! Then asked when would next available emergency appointment be and advised none available. Eventually managed to squeeze out information that available dentists would triage appointments for the day in the morning between 8:30 to 9:00 am so phone then. The dentists have always been good but the games this practice is playing with patients is immoral to the extreme."
Negative experience: Removed from patient list with NO warning, and now saying they're full and can't take any more NHS patients! Um... I've been a patient at this location since I was 5, I'm now 31. Covid happened!! I barely even left my house during it all due to disability, and thankfully wasn't in need of emergency treatment during that time. And because of that, I now need urgent treatment and have literally nowhere to go. All NHS dentists in Salisbury are apparently "full" or "at NHS patient capacity. As for the "patient support" response, it's not just that I couldn't get an appointment with you, it's that you REMOVED ME from your register! I can't get an appointment anywhere in salisbury!! As you removed a disabled patient, during a global pandemic, I can only assume you hoped I wouldn't survive covid!! I'll be forwarding the transport bill to your office, as it looks like Southampton is my next closest shot for dental treatment. I also have an advocate of Christians against Poverty looking into the legal side, as you cannot remove patients without prior consent, and I never had any notification until I tried to get an appointment. Oh- and the fact you're holding spaces for private patients (illegal!)
Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at mydentist with Dr Khizer Hanif. I have a real phobia of dentists but he was very calm and professional, explained all my treatment options and the costs associated with them, and made the whole process really smooth and (surprisingly) painless! He is a credit to the surgery and I will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Terrible behaviours. I had been a patient here for many years, but went abroad on secondment in support of the military. I informed the practice of this before departing. When returning and trying to book an appointment, I was informed they’d taken me off their books and had no more NHS spaces, however I was welcome to book private (do they have space or not?). I informed the receptionist of my disappointment and a staff member followed me out to say I should try looking outside Salisbury or Wiltshire.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentist never have to wait too long. Always polite and friendly and Sarah makes it more pleasurable experience.

Negative experience: I was a patient here for over 15 years (with the practice changing hands in this time) but have now been de-registered without warning, despite not being able to have a checkup during covid closures. Very strange seeing as I was offered an emergency appointment just 2 months ago and not told I was (or about to be) de-registered.
Fantastic experience: Myself and my son visited Dr Khizer Hanif on Thursday 1st of July. This was my son's first ever dentist visit and check. Dr Hanif was wonderful with him, as were the two nurses who were also in the room. He was not phased by my son sitting on me to watch what he did during my check up, he showed my son the instruments and talked him through everything he was doing. He was kind and gentle and was happy for my son to climb on the chair while he wrote up his notes. It was an amazing relaxing experience for my son. He was also great with me talked me through everything with my teeth and combined a follow up appointment to reduce my needed to come back twice which I greatly appreciated. The two nurses who were also working were great with my son and baby. They were calm and supportive and really positive. They looked after both boys when I had an x-ray done which meant they had to leave the room, my son does not leave me easily bit he did this time which is a testament to how great they were. Can not praise them enough!

Provided me with all the information and email confirmations also a huge thank you to Sarah the dentist as I am an an very anxious person and she puts me at ease and re-assures me and talks through what she is doing prior to it happening she has helped massively with my fear of dentists ☺️ she has done previous treatments, fillings, which has built up my confidence but I am due to go back to for thooth removal and I wouldn't trust anyone else but her. Negative experience: Had a filling done on the 4th of Feb after waiting nearly a month to be seen but this wasn't a problem as I was not in pain in fact the wasn't any pain what so ever , dentist was very professional and was able to do the filling without anestetic, but 2 days later the tooth started to pain me I thought this was normal. But the pain started to get worse so I googled pain in fillings it said pain can last 2 to 3 weeks so I started taking ibuprofen until I was at the maximum dose of the day and my face was swollen I then contacted the reception what a joke that was fobbed off with no appointments could be made this week and only emergency appointment, and I have to ring on the day but it's first come first served, (was trying to make it for the Friday coz I had a day off from work) I work 0800 - 1630 Monday to Friday the times the dentist is open , I reminded the receptionist that I had treatment done by the dentist and there is oviously something wrong she wasn't interested I ask her to get the dentist the ring me coz after all she is only the reseptionist and I paid for my treatment and like if you pay for any service or good you expect the goods or service to be correct without any problems , I did get a phone call back but not from the dentist from the receptionist telling me the dentist wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and has refered me the salisbury hospital so meanwhile I'm in pain can't see a dentist antibiotics can't be collected until after 2 the next day painkillers are not working anymore face is swollen and a dental practice that couldnt give a monkeys, stay well clear I know I will never be going back there again , and to think I was praising and recommending that's place not so long ago to friends and family now I will be telling them to stay clear

Fantastic experience: Very Happy, I was booked in quickly using the on-line form but checked I would get a problem (toothache) sorted out at this appointment even though I was new. I was seen by Maria, who immediately put me at ease, discussed the options and removed the offending tooth. She showed me the x-rays and offending tooth(after making sure I wouldn’t faint) . Really good.

Fantastic experience: I have always had a great experience with this dentist. I have been going for years, they have done some wonderful work on my teeth. Despite looking after them, I have had some misfortune with a few teeth resulting in chips and breakages. The standard of work is excellent to the point you cannot see the repairs etc. Others comment on my teeth, i don't hesitate to recommend. Everyone very friendly
Negative experience: My husband called today to register my son and book himself in for a routine check up. The receptionist said that he has been removed from the system as he hasn't had an appointment in 18 months when querying why he didn't get a letter she told him " we are like a doctors surgery " and to google who is taking on new patients. Looking at the other reviews and being rated 2.8 stars from 5 I can fully understand why! We are now registered with a much better dentist who was extremely helpful this morning! Personally I would read the reviews and ask around before going here. Very matter of fact and not willing to help what so ever.
Negative experience: Shocking service call and call never answer leave voicemail to call back and never do over 2 weeks ago! Pregnant in pain and searching for a new dentist
Negative experience: First appointment booked. Took a day of work, 30 minutes before the appointment received a call for cancellation. Ok, these things happen. So, booked another appointment, half day of work booked off, another call, appoitment cancelled. Wow, lost nearly £250 by not going to work. Not a great service isn't it? My membership is now cancelled.
Negative experience: Have learning difficulties and was taken off the books for missing one appointment through no fault of my own. As I was away for Easter when I got text alert, so I've rang up as soon as I returned. My Aspburgers and anxiety makes it difficult for me to understand letters etc. Rang 111 as instructed to find another dentist, who said they don't recommend other dentists! Got support worker on it now. Hope we can sort this mess out amicably, otherwise I'm without a dentist. Should I go to hospital about teeth; putting more strain on the NHS.

Fantastic experience: First Class!!! You can’t even see the fillings! Just look like real teeth. Dr Covas is the man. He’s got me on track to getting my smile back. Brilliant service with very helpful receptionists too!
Fantastic experience: I have been using this dental practice for many years. I walked in as a brand new patient back then with a major existing dental problem and was referred straight to Odstock for urgent surgery. I think that alone saved my life. After that I was looked after brilliantly by Georgiana, who now having left has been replaced by the supremely talented Gilberto. I have only seen Gilberto twice, but I cannot recommend him more highly. Had a couple of fillings a few months back. Swift, efficient and painless. Then walked in just today (4/12/18) with a couple of badly chipped front teeth and walked out with a pair that are like new and haven't looked that good since I was a teenager! An artist - I was frankly amazed at the outcome. My family are also under his watch, and I hope it stays that way for the years ahead. Outstanding service.
Negative experience: Terrible service, was told I needed 10 fillings and when I requested an X ray to confirm this they said I dont need it and should go ahead with thefillings, I went to get a second opinion at a private practice and was told I only need two (at The Chequers Dental Practice), X-rays were done and explained there and then, my teeth are fine and if I blindly believed this practice I would have 8 unneeded mercury fillings in my mouth. Ridiculous! Avoid!
Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service. I missed an appointment, fair enough that’s my bad but I was getting on a delayed flight and rang multiple times before it to try and leave a voicemail but their answer message wouldn’t take messages. I then continue to call as soon as their practice opened to let them know, took ten minutes to get through and when I did they rearranged the appointment for a number of weeks time. Turn up to the appointment today and the dentist refuses to see me, what a joke.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with the level of service received recently. Our family has been treated here for years and never had any problem but there seem to have been some changes and our last two appointments have been cancelled last minute whilst we were already at the surgery and waiting to be seen. Our appointment last week was rescheduled for today and today the new appointment was cancelled again! This is very disrupting as my daughter had to miss x2 sixth form lessons and I went to work late in Bournemouth twice.
Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist for years due to my old dentist giving me a very bad experience. I was terrified I was going to get the third degree but instead my dentist, Pedro, listened to my story and started my journey to sorting all my problems out. He has started restoring my faith in dentists. I would 100% recommend anyone who was like me to try this denist. They don’t judge they just want to help.
