Fantastic experience: I went to Dunes Dental Care today for some fillings. The dentist and the dental nurse (apologies didn't catch their names) were so lovely. They explained everything to me clearly and were super helpful. I was dreading having the fillings but there was no need. Thanks again for all your help!

Negative experience: Can not leave a message for a call back also the attitude on one lady there was disgusting if i spoke to her the was she did me i probs be in the wrong etc

Fantastic experience: The receptionist was really helpful and was kind when I got a bit upset. The dentists and dental nurses are nice and patient and the nurses really try and put you at ease.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a dental implant and a crown replacement completed at Dunes Dental, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Osian was absolutely excellent—very knowledgeable, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and really put me at ease. Eden, the dental nurse, was also fantastic—professional, friendly, and attentive, which made each appointment feel comfortable and well-organised. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish, and I’m very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Dunes Dental to anyone looking for high-quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be happier with my treatment at Dunes dentist . My Invisalign’s journey has come to an end and I am so happy with the results . I can’t fault the team . Excellent service .

Negative experience: Poor service and poor attitude i wouldn't recommend for anyone with young childrens or disabled has i book all my 3 children same time has i got a disabled child for reason has my disabled child wouldnt feel distress for her siblings be seen first and for her to watch has she get more calmer if she see what happens before her but staffs refused and to be told wait in waiting room and that start her distress her when they told us at to go to waiting room before even seeing her and when it was my disabled daughter turn in the end and didn't get seen has we told then she kick and has a melt down again like other appointments has they think they no more than my own disabled child terrible service no experience with disabled children or care for young children and disabled children will be raising my concerns to disabled group

Negative experience: Always had really good experiences here until I phoned today. Spoke to a lady on the phone, to be answered quite abruptly and quite frankly, rude! No effort to take my details or check if any appointments were available, just “you’ll have to call on Monday” awful telephone manner! Which is a shame as every other time Iv been here have always been positive experiences!

Fantastic experience: Excellent!! Very nervous when I first went but all the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. My Dentist, Frances, is very reassuring, very gentle and very professional. I can also say the same about her Dental Nurse - a terrific Team! The surgery is very clean and modern. The receptionists are welcoming, patient and explain charges etc very clearly. What I really liked was that everyone showed a great sense of humour. Who'd have thought - fillings and laughs!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Zoe the receptionist is absolutely brilliant. She rang me with the bad news that I (along with countless others) had unfortunately been taken off as one of their NHS patients. It must be a horrible job to have to ring and share this news, but Zoe did it with empathy and pure professionalism. I attended the dentist afterwards as a private patient and can't fault the practice at all

Negative experience: Being a heart valve patient with a mechanical aorta any dental infection can be extremely serious even life threatening.they cannot refuse an appointment for antibiotics,the receptionist here doesn’t seem to grasp this and this is the second time even after cardiology giving them a ear full last time…extremely rude and unprofessional,was told to call back next week and maybe get an appointment…Cambria in sketty called me in urgently!!

Negative experience: Had a number of appointments at Dunes Dental Care a while back, I can't fault the dental treatment I received at all, it was very good. But I did find the practice manager and the dentist I saw strangely rude and unpleasant, which I found really unprofessional. Good treatment but really bad attitude.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish I can't thank the team at dunes dental care enough. Nervously walking through the doors for my first appointment I was put at ease and this continued throughout the invisilign journey. 40 years old and hated my teeth, hated the fact I hid behind them. Now wow wow wow I can't stop smiling, they are perfect. I would like to thank Dr Osian Davies for giving me the perfect smile, the practice manager and all the girls who were there for my appointments, you are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I'm so glad I came to you and 100% would pass the good name of the practice on to others. You've all played a part in a changing my life. Thank you

Fantastic experience: First appointment since the start of covid as a new patient very pleased with the staff at reception had a very nice welcome had my appointment with a very nice lady jagroop had 3 fillings and I must say she was brilliant didn't feel a thing iam very pleased thanks again

Fantastic experience: Went to this dentist on an emergency NHS appointment and Can't thank the dentist Marcus enough for sorting my tooth out as I was in horrendous pain .Excellent job thankyou so much .The receptionist was lovely too so polite ..thanks all. ..Excellent.

Positive experience: I had to contact 111 because it's horrendous getting into a dentist waiting list. The last experience I had with a dentist a few years ago, I had to stop mid extraction due to severe pain caused and was left with half a tooth. Fast forward I managed to get an appointment at Dunes Dentist, I was so nervous about this because of previous experiences. The receptionist/Dental training nurse put me and ease the whole time although we go back, she was absolutely amazing. Explained everything and checked in with me. I can't remember the dentists name I had, she was lovely though. I explained from the get go about my fears and she put me at ease. Fast forward two teeth gone, I was fearing the worst but the after care from the dental training nurse has been outstanding!! Although we know eachother from going back, she's been outstanding and honestly I can't thank her enough! She's like a guardian angel! She's been the best, will definitely recommend this dentist, the dentist made sure I couldn't feel anything, the cares been outstanding.

Negative experience: Please do your research before undergoing any cosmetic work here, especially Invisalign. I didn’t and it cost me nearly 3 years of my time for what should only have been 14 weeks and over £4000. I should have seen the red flags when the dentist I had treatment with had no before and after pictures of their Invisalign results. I was left with gaps between my teeth that had been created by the dentist that were not there before and was forced to pay £2000 to get my teeth fixed elsewhere. I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else, please please do your research and go somewhere that has proof of their outcomes.

Fantastic experience: I had a an appointment today with Jagroop Sandhu to get my tooth out. The last dentist I saw 2 years ago told me I needed to have it surgically removed and because of COVID I couldn't get a dentist. Jagroop took out my tooth, filled another tooth and repaired another within half hour and no need for surgery. She is amazing I didn't feel a thing all throughout the treatment. Thank you

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend this dental practice to my worse enemy, my teeth are in a worse condition now than before my advice go elsewhere.

Negative experience: While phoning 111 to receive emergency dentist treatment today I was rudely spoken to by a Male dentist upon arrival. I dont drive and the driver of the car was smoking a cigarette in the car park opposite the clinc, I am trying to give up smoking so was using my nicorette inhaler prescribed by My doctors may I add. To be greeted by a rude dentist who shouted at me that he had just watched me smoke a cigarette and do I think that was appropriate, that he would advise me ONLY and that he WOULD NOT treat me as he just watched me smoking. The lady that was taking my details asked if I pay for treatment I said yes, to which his attitude totally changed and he stopped shouting and just stood there. I have never been spoken to like this before by anyone. I am definitely not happy with the service I've received today. Not only with the attitude and lack of compassion and care off the gentleman in question. He gave me no advice on what I could do to help with the pain or swelling I have. He basically waved a prescription at me and told me not to drink alcohol for the next 7 days. He gave me no reason as to why I needed the prescription or why I am in pain and have swelling. I had to contact my local pharmacist for advise. I will also be telling friends and family who live in the area about my experience. I was going to give a 5☆ review after my last visit to the practice but after today's appointment I think a 1☆ is generous. I would also like to add I will be putting in a formal complaint about the dentist. As I found him to be incredibly intimidating and he made a bad situation worse for me as I have a fear of dentists. Leaving the practice yesterday not only was in a lot of pain but I found the dentists actions towards me extremely distressing and extremely aggressive.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dental practice at all! Booked my myself and husband in for routine exams. I had taken time off work for this. My husband is disabled so I we always go together and he has a fear of dentists, to be told when I arrived at the desk that I was booked in but he wasn’t! Baring in mind I’d booked the appointment over 3 weeks ago! When I asked why can’t the both of us be seen to be told they can see us both not to the full extent of a routine exam. Next minute she went off and then came back and said only one of you can be seen! When I asked to speak to the manager, as I was not happy about the service she’s no where to be seen apparently on the school run! (Nice for some) couldn’t make a complaint! Shocking service from the dentist himself Marcos! Now if I didn’t know thing about dental, I would have been nun the wiser but would not size me up for interdental brushes so I know what size I definitely need to improve my oral hygiene. Just got told to buy a range of colours and have ago! He said floss which I find difficult and don’t get on with that why I asked about the interdental brushes. When an X-ray was done to be told I needed two fillings but one of the fillings was amalgam (sliver filling) because it’s so deep fine. But the other isn’t as deep but because it’s at the back of the mouth and no one will see I can have another amalgam filling instead of a composite filling (white filling) truth be told he couldn’t really be bothered with it just wants to get the treatment done doesn’t really care how you feel or what you would like. Regardless if your NHS or private you should be given an option. Dental nurse was rude also! My mother in law was in last week aswell she’s never been seen by this dental practice at all before after waiting 3 years on the waiting list. Gets to her appointment and didn’t even bother doing X-rays! So how is this an exam? Not really looking fully at the time and what condition they are in and what treatment needs to be done. Shocking service! Will be taking my family off this waiting list and will be going to another dental practice in Neath that is much more professional!

Fantastic experience: Attended Dunes for an emergency dental appointment with Hannah. The staff were extremely cordial, friendly and welcoming. I was made to feel at ease from the moment I walked through the door, and all my concerns and questions were handled directly, sensitively and professionally. Hannah (dentist) was diligent and caring, taking the time to address and explain each issue, providing recommendations for future professional and self dental care. Sandfields Port Talbot is extremely fortunate to have this much-needed dental service in the area and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Ive been having treatment from Hannah who is extremely proffessional and puts you at ease. She offers you advice and chioices never pushing you into something you dont know or understand

Negative experience: Awful customer service. I don’t ever write a negative review, however would not recommend anyone going there. I’ve paid for my filling and it fell out a week after. The dentist didn’t even clean the tooth before putting a filler on. What upset me the most is why to be a dentist if you don’t care about people and quality of the job you do. And to add on, if I want it fixed again, I’d need to pay again. Very poor service from start to finish.

Negative experience: Can't tell you about my experience at Dune dental care, unable to get there due to cancellations. Firstly given an appointment impossible to make after phoning 111 less than 30 minutes response time. Then 3 cancellations Haven't seen a dentist for 2 months or practice nurse. Can't trust this practice.

Positive experience: Good dental practice, and I can’t fault the treatment I received. However, multiple appointments have been cancelled last minute. Other than that, I don't have anything bad to say about the practice and the staff. The treatment I received was great and the staff are friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Great practice to choose if you're more flexible on time

Fantastic experience: Must say the staff are polite and helpful but on having a filling done today I can’t be more pleased , normally I feel pain while having a filling but this is the first time I didn’t feel a thing & it was quick , I was well informed and all the covid rules were applied , thank you Dunes Dentist

Negative experience: Appalling customer service, older woman very rude, been in agony with a loose tooth for 2 weeks, called this place a number of times as it's supposed to be my dentist, was told to keep ringing at 9am in the mornings to get an emergency appointment, to be told I've been taken off the system, for no apparent reason with no notification of being removed, not a great dentist if I'm honest,older receptionist needs to learn better customer relations

Fantastic experience: I had a ghastly infected tooth extracted today hence I was extremely nervous. The Dental surgeon Jay extracted the tooth with no problem whatsoever. I experienced no pain and no issues. I would strongly recommend this practice to patients whether new or old. Many thanks Jay you are an angel mate. Kind regards Linda

Fantastic experience: I would like to say how impressed I was with the treatment my 13 year old daughter received at the practice. She was kept informed/involved throughout the treatment with every step explained. The Dentists manner was refreshing and spoke to my daughter like an adult, polite and respectful. Thank you.
