The treatment itself was carried out with great care. He kept checking I was okay throughout, which I really appreciated. What impressed me most was the aftercare. Fantastic experience: Dentist Hamza at Bandal's in Lye was excellent. I usually struggle with a strong fear of needles, but he reassured me from the start and kept a calm conversation going to distract me. The injection felt like a tiny prick, no pain at all, and the whole tooth extraction was quick and handled with care. The aftercare was impressive too. He personally checked in by phone, which made me feel genuinely cared for, not just rushed through. His friendly manner and clear communication made the experience much easier than expected. Young very professional very informative and very engaging with me . Took X-rays spoke with me what needs to be done . Came back after a week thanks to dr hamza I have my smile back . His very gentle with his work takes his time always engaging with you asking if your ok while his working on you teeth. Allso cleaned and polish them to perfection. His a great addition to Bhandal surgery. I would highly recommend him to anybody in the lye area or outside of lye . worth travelling to see dr hamza . Fantastic experience: Fantastic care today from all the staff. A large filling came out on Saturday, but because of the Bank holiday, I couldn't phone until today. My own surgery managed to book me in for a temporary filling, but unfortunately had to cancel as the dentist had phoned in sick. The receptionist gave me some other practices to contact, and I phoned some with mixed responses - I'll leave it at that! But finally Lye fitted me in. All the staff were very helpful, and Hamza didn't put in a temporary filling, but a full one that took a long time due to the depth of the cavity. I am a little frightened of dentists but Hamza and Ellie couldn't have kinder and more gentle. I felt very reassured and he told me that the filling had a 12month guarantee - I've never been told that before! I have to make sure that I have no problems with my teeth or gums due to the medication I am on. Some receptionists didn't seem to appreciate that, but Hamza knew all about the medication and implications, which was great. Thank you all very much.

Fantastic experience: The lovely receptionist really went above and beyond for me last Friday when I couldn't bite down, eat or drink on my tooth that was extremely painful. I was squeezed in for the following morning!! Fantastic customer service, thank you!!!!!

Dr Hamzah saw my family and was absolutely brilliant — very professional, kind, and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was great. The receptionist, who is new, was also a great help. She was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, and did a great job making the visit run smoothly. From start to finish, the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I had severe tooth pain for several days went to the Dental Practice in Lye. The dentist Hamza was professional courteous and very helpful. Hamza took X rays , explained what the problem was and started the treatment on day 1. Initially he put a sedative on the tooth and then completed root canal next day so the tooth could be used for function rather than be extracted. I am very happy with the service provided i would say that the dentist Hamza and staff are welcoming, professional and show that they want to help the Community. All my family members attend here and since the staff change in September 2025 the management of the practice has improved immensely.

Negative experience: First time since the staff change. I've had really bad experiences in the past and the old staff understood, the new crew are rude, spoke to like I'm stupid and made me feel embarrassed and ashamed. I have to have partial dentures after my front teeth were ripped out in a car crash and they made remarks about it joking and I heard it all. Never again...

Not coming back to this practice because of that rotten tomato, for 8 years of stay in Lye , The service we had from the 3 previous dentists were excellent , as they were wonderful but the current one , i don’t know why she still in that profession.

Negative experience: Booked a appointment got an email confirming this.When I arrived they said they had sent a txt message cancelling this appointment.Strange how you get a email confirming but only a text message to cancel that I didn't receive.If they had good manners they would call you to say they have to cancel and maybe rearrange the appointment .Very poor service should have read the terrible reviews this place gets before booking.Looks like the building is deralict from outside.Would recommend staying away from this poorly run dentist .

Negative experience: Recommended this place to my partner, but WOW, it's changed in the space of a year. Friendly staff front of house, but that's where it ends. The dentist who 'did' his examination spent a two minutes at most, bobbing in and out to chat with colleagues. Her glasses were filthy, as were the light fittings. He spent longer completing the registration form than sat in the dentist's chair. To be honest, he spent longer crossing the busy road outside! Not dangerous. Just really not at all worth a minute of anyone's time - which is what you'd be very lucky to get from this run-down, pared-down, neglected excuse for a dental practice. I feel certain Bhandal has better run surgeries. The one in Lye needs either a deep clean or haz-mat tape and a 'closed' sign.

Positive experience: I can't recommend this dental practice enough. I'm na extremely anxious and awkward patient and haven't been to a dentist in over 10 years. I visited today and saw Nina, who was absolutely amazing. She was so polite, accomodating and understanding of my position. Everything was explained to me in great detail, she did some light work on my saveable teeth and referred me for extractions under sedation. I was as calm as somebody with a phobia can be the whole time I was in the chair and Nina's attitude was truly excellent. Receptionist there is lovely.

Negative experience: This is a great little dental practice. My dentist is Kabir, he explains to you if there are any problems that need addressing and is polite and a pleasant dentist. The receptionist Helen is also a smiley polite young lady. I had a filling fall out this morning 19/12/2018 I telephoned for an appointment and got one for the afternoon and I was seen and filling fixed in 25 minutes by dentist Salman; all sorted with no fuss thank you. Poor service today 08/11/2021 from the receptionist whoever she was, she was rude and disrespectful unlike Helen who is helpful and polite. Take my advice and wait for Helen to book you in.

Negative experience: Rubbish dentist. I did not agree to the fissure sealant he put in after drilling a whole in my tooth for no reason and without informing me what he was doing. This was a few years ago in lye. I told him to take it out and now I have a gaping whole in my molar tooth. You cant sue dentists unless they cause irreparable damage....if it can be repaired its ok apparently!! disgusting. Not using my real name here. I have a better dentist elsewhere now.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful dental practise! Everyone, dentists, dental nurses and receptionists are all lovely, polite, patient and kind. I have had check ups, a wisdom tooth out and a tooth guard fitted. Despite being an anxious patient they take time to put you at your ease and generally reassure you. The dentist is always very gentle and I would recommend this practise to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic team. Took my 5 y.o and she has been telling everyone about her great experience with the dentist M. Kabir Khan. I have recently been receiving treatment and Kabir thoroughly explains the process, which is reassuring as I then make informed decisions. He is very polite and speaks so calmly, honestly I really highly recommend him. Helen, the receptionist is so lovely and warm, with her welcoming smile. I'm not one to enjoy any dental visits but this has actually changed my view. Keep up the fabulous work guys.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and friendly dental team from reception to surgery. Excellent time management as I never waited longer than 8 mins at the reception. Treatments and advice they give always worked to keep my teeth healthy. There is also a massive free car park right behind the surgery. I use this dentist for years and recommend it to my friends.

Negative experience: My experiences here have not been good. Firstly I lost a tooth a couple of years ago and I have been 3 times here now to have a mould made for a denture. The first 2 times the young dentist had me lying back to do this and didn't seem to notice or care that I was gagging/ choking as the goo ran down my throat. On the third occasion I said I wanted to sit up during this part and he said " oh yes we have had people be sick before because they gagged" and yet when I sat up I had little or no problem. The reason for the third mould was because my denture had got brittle and broke and when I related this to the dentist he asked if I had kept it in water at night to which I replied no, he then said " that is why it has broken then" but at no time had I ever been told that I should do this. My last experience has left me quite angry as having waited a week for my latest tooth the dentist said to come back for it any time after 4 but before closing time for him to fit it, I duly went back at 5:20 in the afternoon having rung to say that I was on my way ( he was still there according to the receptionist at this time ) only to find that he had left 40 minutes early (the practice closing time is 6pm) leaving me without my tooth for another week ( I work 6 days a week) . Clearly this guy cares more about an early finish than his paying customers!!! My advice go somewhere else.
