Fantastic experience: I have used this dental surgery for some years now and their service has been top notch. I am seen by TJ and Shanon. My teeth were crooked, had an open bite due to thumb sucking in childhood. I thought it was too late for me to have this sorted. I didn't know anything about invisalign. TJ took time to explain to me. He was very open and honest about the timeline and cost . He made sure I understood the treatment plan, it was a commitment. I was satisfied throughout my invisalign journey, it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. The result exceeded my expectations, lm so grateful, no more crooked teeth and my smile is more beautiful. Thank you TJ for your great skills, attention to detail and finesse. I would recommend. Thank you to all the staff at reception, very professional and accommodating when I needed to change appointment dates.

Fantastic experience: Cara the dental nurse was brilliant on the phone when l rang and explained l was a nervous patient. I saw Deepa the dentist along with Cara and they both made me feel comfortable in the chair. Deepa listened to my concerns and explained exactly what was happening and checked with each new step that l was comfortable with what was happening. They took X-rays which were painless and explained the results. Check up complete Deepa gave me after care advice and l have booked my next 6month appointment straight away. Thank you ladies for helping me to get back to a good oral health routine

Fantastic experience: I have always hated the dentist, years of barely any actual care or help with a fear that grew over the years but then I met Deepa. I was very nervous at first, shaking and crying for the first 2 visits but Deepa was phenomenal, not only did she ease my fears but she gave me some simple advice that changed my teeth’s life and relieved the pain I had experienced for a long time. By my third visit today, my fear had completely disappeared - no tears, no nerves or shaking just all smiles - nice shiny smiles!! Thank you Deepa for helping me and my teeth! I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Was very nervous to have a filling however the team were great and gave me the option whether or not to have numbing. They encouraged me not to have it as I am scared of needles and it was absolutely fine, barely any pain so much better than I thought!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service following an accident where I cracked my front tooth. Heanor Dental Care got me in quickly and because of this Deepa managed to strengthen the tooth and hopefully prevent more severe treatment. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic experience: This is my second visit and I would definitely recommend this dentist if your lucky enough to get in. They have gone above and beyond for me. I explained how, especially being a girl I'm very upset and self conscious about the horrid state of my teeth,even broke down on my first visit and you know what,the ladies have been nothing but respectful, polite and sympathetic. Today I got a clean I go back in 6 months and for once I will be excited to go back. The girls really done a fantastic job and really cared. They looked after me. They were wonderful Thank you girls (you know who you are)

Fantastic experience: My experience has been fantastic, I havnt had a dentist for years and not long moved up to this area and booked in to see a dentist for a Checkup. I wanted a new smile ready for my wedding in June as there were some problems with my teeth and Deepa my dentist is amazing we went through all the options available and after a few appointments I have now walked away with my forever smile thanks to Deepa and her nurse, I cant thank you enough and this has helped build my confidence back up thank you so much. Also the reception team have always been amazing and so lovely and make you feel at ease fantastic Dentist and all the Team

Fantastic experience: I’m 35 and I’ve been to plenty of dentists over the years, but this was easily my best visit. The reception team were really friendly and everything was organised so quickly: an appointment the next day for a check-up, and the day after that my tooth was fixed. Sorted in two days. I also ended up with a dentist who was an incredibly nice bloke. He talked me through everything, gave honest advice, and you could tell he really knew what he was doing. I had pain from a wisdom tooth and another dentist had suggested taking it out, so I’d done a lot of reading and had a lot of questions. Here, he was understanding and experienced, and instead of pulling it, he treated the tooth. No pain at all, friendly, quick, and a really good job. I genuinely felt looked after, even though I’m not a fan of dental visits like most of us. Big thanks to the whole team for such professional and lovely care. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: New dentist and I’ve been made to feel so relaxed, calm and cared. My dentist was so lovely and she was very patient, kind and friendly towards me and the procedure I was having done. After having such bad experiences and anxiety over going to the dentist this practice and staff have looked after me so well. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Brilliant, im very anxious and prone to panic attacks. They are so friendly and reassuring though and put me right at ease. They listened to me and made sure I had plenty of pain relief whilst I was having 2 wisdom teeth extracted. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Hi, My name is Shaun Gee and just before Christmas my wife came across an offer from Heanor dental care offering work that may need doing for people who have let their teeth become an embarrassment, I reluctantly accepted to go along as it has been years since I have seen a dentist, I had the pleasure of being put into the professional hands of Deepa, Not only did she put me at ease with how she treated me, but on the day of my treatment, she performed 4 fillings and fitted a composite tooth into a gap in have had for years absolutely pain free, Along with all the staff i came in contact with, I cannot praise Deepa enough, if I come across anyone with my old fear of dentists, I will definitely point them in Deepa's direction

Negative experience: I have used this NHS practice for quite a few years, and I have been more than happy with their service and treatment. Now that the majority of the practice is private, sadly I am of the opinion that their service has taken a noticeable dive for the worse. I hasten to add, my review is not about the money, as I have already paid a significant amount for the first part of the treatment, albeit I would like it to have been less, but with regard to communications and future treatment. Due to the above I have now decided to have my bridge work done privately elsewhere for the same price. I repeat it’s not about the money as I have forfeited the first payment, it's about the service, which IMO was better when it was NHS run.

Fantastic experience: Rang here yesterday morning as I had chronic toothache for an emergency appointment they got me in the same day. The thought of going to the dentist gives me such anxiety but as soon as I entered the examination room I was put right at ease, for the first time in 27 years I agreed to have the area of concern numbed & I can honestly say both the dentist & the assistant was absolutely amazing, I didnt feel a thing! The best dental experience ive honestly had! Thanks so much heanor dental care for looking after me & tending to my needs with such compassion!

Negative experience: Ridiculous! Doesn’t matter how many times I call and what days I call on the reception just doesn’t seem to want to answer the phone! Used to be a great dentist but I would highly advice not to use these if your in desperate need to be seen!

Negative experience: Been trying to call them since 8am this morning it’s now 18:40 they close in 20 Minutes and never answer the phone it’s like they are scared to talk to people

Negative experience: Used to be a lovely practice, however dentists are going private now leaving NHS patients without a dentist (none available to transfer to). When ringing to try & make an emergency appointment the telephones remain unanswered (so far trying for an hour & a half). Parking an issue at the practice & a very noisy waiting area.

Positive experience: Dental staff great and I have no issues with them but some of the reception staff could do with a few lessons on professionalism as it is a Dental surgery and not a playground

Fantastic experience: Fabulous care from the staff at heanor dental care. Dr Harrop is fantastic, as are all of the nursing team.

Negative experience: Awful place. One particular receptionist is unbelievably rude every time without fail. Couldn’t remember our appointment so phoned up and you’d think it was the hardest thing in the world to have asked. Huffed and puffed over it, eventually gave me the date, was about to end the call and I had to ask the time too as she wasn’t going to divulge that. Just gives an awful impression of the place. Used to have an amazing dentist but she left, to be replaced by someone with a poor manner, didn’t refer for Orthodentist work when should have and that’s caused no end of issues since.

Negative experience: Great when a business doesn’t reply to emails or answer phone messages left several times. Oh well that’s lost them business as I know I’m in need of three root canals and crowns and wanted quotes for two implants on top of that.

Fantastic experience: Good dentist, can't complain, staff are lovely, my teeth are better than they have ever been.

Fantastic experience: What can I say, professional and polite Dr Max Harrop is indeed a great dentist, and even my consultant max fax surgeon Dr David Laugharne commented on the excellent dental treatment I had by Dr Harrop. Positive experience: The dentist are brilliant can't fault them, however I think the receptionist need to be careful when booking appointments, I was told over the phone (on loud speaker so I had witnesses) that my appointment was on a Monday, I book the day off work from both my jobs! To attend only to get there and be told my appointment was Tuesday! Me and 2 others all heard the woman on the phone say Monday, looking at the other review, I can see I'm not the only one that's had this issue, so please be careful when booking appointments!

Fantastic experience: I had such a fantastic experience at this Dental Surgery. The staff were warm, welcoming and brilliant. They really put me at ease when I felt nervous. I now feel more confident and knowledgeable when it comes to my dental health. Thank you for finally allowing me to have a positive experience at the dentist! I cannot praise this surgery enough.

Negative experience: I just moved into the area and booked an appointment for my wife and I. I took the day off of work and went to the surgery today 04/03/19 @ 10.15, and was told our appointment was Friday 08/03/2019. I had actually arranged to take the day off of work, to get this appointment, as I work over 150 miles away. I therefore said I would have to cancel Friday's appointment as I work away. I was told they would cancel the appointment, but 'if I missed another appointment' I would be refused further treatment'. How bloody rude!!! I did not miss an appointment, a mistake was made somewhere and I do not think it was me, as I had to specifically taken the day off to attend this 'run down' dentists. Also note I have a highly qualified and busy professional whose diary is meticulous and I very rarely make mistakes. Mistakes do happen though, and I put this down to experience. However, to be threatened with removal from the surgery if I missed another appointment, when I didn't miss one is unacceptable and even gave 72 hours notice is disgraceful. Who do these jumped up receptionists think they are? The 40 year old with the glasses and inch thick makeup was particularly nasty, and I wonder if they consider us deaf when they make comments in front of their clientele? I immediately cancelled my future obligations with this dental practice and would not recommend them to anyone. You are a customer focused service and your attitude and your puerile and unjustified threats were not justified or impressed anyone. I suggest people do not go there.

Negative experience: Most of the receptionists are lovely however one receptionist is vile with the worst attitude that I have ever had to deal with, has made multiple people who were previous customers, cry. Won't be returning to this dentist and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The dentists themselves are nice people though

Negative experience: Attended two appointments this year only to be told they have been cancelled when I arrive. No attempt was made to contact me in advance, wasting my time. I've been coming here 15 years and can say that 2017 seems to be shambolic for them.

Fantastic experience: First time I'd been to the dentist in 4 years as my previous dentist scared me, and due to having anxiety issues from a young age with regards dentist I was really scared, but I shouldn't have worried my first consultation went really well, went back for further treatment and everything was fine, put my mind at ease - receptionist staff are lovely, the dental nurse was so kind and reassuring and Maxwell Harrop the dentist all I can say is thank you so very much see you all in 6 months

Negative experience: i wouldn't advise anyone using this dentist, i don't normally or have ever even wrote a review before but considering how they was i want everyone to know. first of all i rang and the receptionist told me i had a appointment the following day, as i know i had to have treatment i decided to book the day from work which turns out she had told me the wrong date, the second which they rearranged for me i couldn't make it, for 2 days later to call me and tell me that they refuse to see me again and that i should contact 111 for any more help, i think it's bad customer service to take money to see what is up with someone to then not finish any work even though it was based on your faults, once again i wouldn't advise anyone using this place. thank you.
