4 months ago Fantastic experience: My appointment was on time, my dentist is so very professional yet friendly, the perfect balance. Her approach to supporting the assistant was a really gentle teaching method, it was lovely to listen to. I booked in to have a chip filled in, she listened, and delivered go a high standard, and I just never have any issues with my dentist, or any of the front staff either, always so friendly, and helpful. Going to the dentist, couldn’t be easier!!

4 months ago Positive experience: Dentist was late before she arrived!!! Ten minutes after my appointment time was when she arrived in the practice. I always get a first appointment of the day so I can get to work as soon as possible, the dentist has never been on time, generally ten minutes or more after the appointment time. It then seems rushed to catch up on time.

5 months ago Fantastic experience: Dr Faisal is incredible, super friendly, very informative and has started some composite bonding for me. Im absolutely blown away with the results already and I honestly can not wait to return for round two. The reception staff are adorable, the practice is very clean and professional and I now have a big beautiful smile that i dont feel the need to hide because off a chipped tooth! I highly, highly recommend!!

9 months ago Negative experience: Called and left a message to be promised a call back, called again 2 days later to be promised a call back, called again and got the same drivel! I can't comment on their dentistry as they never call me back to make the initial appointment, such a shame such poor service exists!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: It was my first time visiting this practice and the staff were lovely. I saw Dr Faisal, who greeted me with a big smile. I was very nervous at the start, but he calmed me down and clearly explained what he was going to do. I have to say, I’ve never felt as safe with a dentist as I did today. He was very friendly, professional, and provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend this practice.

1 year ago Negative experience: Tha nastiest scam possibleGad my teeth done 6years ago they destroyed them fare beyond the repair i originally needed. Their work fillings survived only 2years. I was left with very broken tooth. It not dentist it’s quick money scan. I do not recommend them at any circumstances you will need up with more destroyed teeth and very big bill. They are thefts charging for extremely low quality service
We are sorry to receive your review however, we do not have any record of your concerns following the appointments in 2019 and given that this was now 6 years ago we are unable to provide any resolution for this.
I can see that you were an NHS patient at the time of the treatment and am confused regarding the comments relating to the price as these are set by the NHS and not our practices.

2 years ago Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about the amazing receptionists! There is one lady there I dont know her name but she is so kind and understanding. I live in another town and it is difficult for me to get there by bus. She has always worked me into an appointment time that works with the bus schedule. She has a great sense of humour and always has a kind word. My dentist is Dr. Shiva Jones. She is the most kind, thoughtful and understanding dentist I have had and I feel very fortunate as an nhs patient to have such a skilled dentist. What I respect about her is that she takes into consideration your life style and obligations before discussing the best options for you. She listens to you and really cares. I am a very nervous person and she has a very calm and practical manner that makes you feel calm too. She is very busy but takes time to ask how you have been doing. I have been at the dental practice for almost five years. Recently, I lost a veneer off my front tooth. I am anxious about it but I have nothing to worry about as I am receiving such outstanding dental treatment by Dr. Shiva Jones. I trust her. I highly recommend the Hungerford My Dentist for their outstanding committment to providing the best dental care and for the wonderful receptionists.

The first person you meet or speak to on the phone, as a business I think they care for customers or they wouldn’t have that women working on reception And as a final insult accused me of missing an appointment they never informed me about and when I tried telling the rude South African receptionist she said I’m wrong wow really need to learn how to talk to people

2 years ago Fantastic experience: I have seen Faisal on a number of occasions. He is amazing and always greets you with the biggest smile. I am a very nervous patient and Faisal is such a calming influence. He is very knowledgable and his work is always completed to the highest standard. I have a B12 deficiency which has affected by oral health and Faisal has given me some great advice to help with this. The practice is very lucky to have him. 3 years ago Negative experience: Hugely disappointed with this practice - no communication at all throughout Covid and now have been told that we have been de-registered as NHS patients because we havent contacted them. No flexibility or recognition of their failure to communicate.
I am sorry to hear that you have experienced problems accessing NHS dental care at your practice It may help to explain that if a patient does not attend the practice for a 2-year period they can be removed from the practice list, this was increased to 2 years and 6 months due to COVID. If we do not hear from a patient in this time, we must assume they are being seen elsewhere for their oral hygiene check-ups. At your last check-up, the dentist will have advised when you should next attend, this is usually either 6 or 12 months, it is then the responsibility of the patient to make sure they book this next check-up at the given time. Failure to do so, will result in removal from the practice books, in order to create space for the growing waiting list of patients trying to access NHS dentistry.
It may be helpful to use our website or the NHS website to locate a practice within your area that may have the capacity to take on new patients.

4 years ago Negative experience: I think I'm being very generous awarding 1 star. I started a root canal approx 18 months ago and they seem to never have an NHS dentist. Complete waste of time even ringing this practice as you are always told we don't have an NHS dentist but we are getting one!!! Well my husband needed to see the dentist for an emergency but absolutely no help at all, he phoned Wootton Basset My Dentist and was seen almost immediately so I thought I would give them a try and I've never looked backed ok it's a few miles out but the receptionists are very helpful and keen to help, I've had no problems making future appointments. Me and my husband have now changed to this practice and I suggest others follow as a few people have now left Hungerford to go to Wootton Basset.
I can assure you that as a company we have tried all options to recruit and we continue to do so. We have offered re-location packages, extra financial incentives and regularly approach clinicians at our other sites to see if they are interested in a move. Unfortunately, as previously stated above the dentist recruitment market is extremely stagnant post pandemic and it is proving difficult. We are currently in one of the most challenging times in dental recruitment.
In the meantime, until new dentists are secured, should you have a dental emergency, pain, swelling, bleeding or trauma please contact the practice reception and they will be able to advise on how you can access emergency dental care.
Recruitment for the practice is a priority for the company and I trust that my response has reassured you that we are doing all we can locally, nationally and internationally to find a dentist for this practice.

4 years ago Negative experience: Initially really good but then went down hill very soon. I don't think i've seen the same dentist twice (which you should). Very long wait for an appointment and even if you do you there is a high chance they will cancel it. Doesn't seem they have enough denist's but effort should be make to transfer me to another mydentist branch. If you are looking for a new dentist, don't look here until they get more dentists.
We have been actively advertising and trying to recruit dentists for the practice for some time. Unfortunately, the current dental recruitment market is extremely static, there is a distinct shortage of dentists in the UK and due to the current situation many dentists are preferring not to re-locate and to stay in the practice that they are already in. We are currently in one of the most challenging times in dental recruitment, but we are doing all we can locally, nationally and internationally to find a dentist for this practice. As all our practices are on separate NHS contracts we are unable to transfer patients between branches.

4 years ago Negative experience: Always cancelling appointments, long waits, find another Dentist! I've had a bad experience with this Dentist, appointments always cancelled, every time I have been they are running late, rude receptionists!!! To top it off, I had a root canal treatment and crown fitted, I had a check up booked in April to make sure it had all settled. I then received a letter in January to say the appointment had been cancelled, now May and I've heard nothing! I emailed to see what was going on as I received a letter from the practice to say they are going private! I was told my appointment would have to be private now! I challenged this as it clearly stated in the letter "if you have an NHS appointment which was booked before 1st July 2022, I will see you for this appointment"! This was the response: I am sorry, but Faisal is adamant he is not seeing patients that are NHS. We have had loads of patients that complained, but he will not see patients unless they go private. Dentists unfortunately call the shots and my dentist have to comply. He knows what it says in the letter. He did not personally write the letter. Head office did and he said he did not agree to that, therefore he is refusing to see NHS patients. You can change to the Practice Plan or MyOptions (see attached) if you would like to see Faisal, or you can wait until the end of July and phone to book back in with the new NHS dentist, that starts in August. I cannot book you in with her yet, as he diary does not get opened until end of July. What an absolute joke! Is this how you treat existing patients! Clearly all about making money!!!! I've told the practice to remove me from their list and I will go elsewhere!

Your dentist has taken the decision to no longer offer dental services on the NHS. Where routine NHS provision is not currently available, your practice will be able to offer alternative private options. We hope that these alternatives will allow you to access dental care at this time. Please contact the practice should you require more information, so they can discuss with you your needs.

7 years ago Fantastic experience: Last year my dentist noticed a white spot o my tongue, was concerned that he referred me to my hospital ENT dept at Swindon. In quick order from a biopsy taken , about 2 - 3 weeks I was offered an appointment at churchill hospital at Oxford. In the time between the Biopsy and having an Sentinel procedure, it was found that it had progressed to a cancerous type. It is now nearly a year come this November and was given he all clear, and two monthly follow ups. Thanks to my dentists proactive ness i cannot thank him enough.

7 years ago Fantastic experience: This is a great dentist practice. Emma the receptionist is very kind and helpful and the dentist I saw was extremely professional and told me every step he was doing and managed to make a good job out of a fully broken front tooth. It's very modern and clean and a good all round service. Brilliant! 15th February 2019 I had a problem at the Hungerford branch that annoyed me and was un-needed stress for me. I made a complaint to the Head Office and the problem was resolved with 12 hours. It was quite remarkable that 'Mydentist' took note and responsibility of this incident and made good the issue that I put forward. Emma at the Head Office was very professional but kind and understanding and got the problem sorted. I really cannot fault them and this for me was just a glitch that was resolved to all concerned. Still an excellent dentist!
