Fantastic experience: I had to visit the dentist after a 3 year gap. The care I received from my dentist and nurse was in my opinion above and beyond and they really tried to keep me calm throughout my treatment which wasn't easy. I never thought I'd write a positive review for a dentist but it's the least I can do. As a result of the exceptional care I received I'm committed to returning more often for my check ups. Fantastic experience: As a man in his late 70s, I was worried about addressing my dental health after 20 years of not seeing a dentist. I had no need to worry. All the work carried out by the hygeniest and dentist, Andy, was done so with great care and efficency. There was no roughness. I feel fortunate to have found such a reassuringly good dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: As a person whom suffers greatly from anxiety at the dentist. Portman has been amazing for me! all members of the team make you feel so totally welcome and comfortable. They treat their patients with care and understanding. Big shout out to Lara my new hygienist she's an asset to Portman and was fantastic with me. I have been lucky enough to have been seen to by Andy for some years and I always value his care and professionalism. We can all agree that the dentist is never a pleasant experience however a necessary one and Portman and the team have always looked after my self and family exceptionally well. Negative experience: The reviews on this forum should be treated with a great deal of scepticism. Firstly, does anybody know someone who enjoys their visit to a dentist so much they immediately go and write about it? Secondly, the principal dentist and his lack of skill, expertise and competence caused me broken teeth and a year of hardship. His treatment shocked other local dentists and dental experts. Even the lab which made a denture had to point out the flaws in his treatment. Thankfully, his insurance company were quick to respond with a refund and some compensation. In summary, draw your own conclusions about any so called professional who seeks to improve his standing with highly suspicious google reviews.

Positive experience: Vital dental as it was called and as a NHS patient has always be good to myself and family but when you have to go private to have work that can't be done on their NHS system, boy the prices are eye watering but my god the difference in treating you is like chalk and cheese

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly recommend this practice. Receptionists Kerry and Rachel were friendly and efficient. Brooke the dental nurse and Fab the dentist were amazing. I was very nervous about my extraction but they both put me at ease. Fab explained everything as he went along, I didn't feel the numbing injections, he was very gentle. Brooke was wonderful and very calming, she even held my hand whilst the extraction took place (yes I know I'm a grown woman but I was anxious!). Having a tooth extracted is not something to look forward to but I can confidently say that this practice and the staff especially, made the experience as pleasant as it can possibly be. Negative experience: We were told our son needed 4 fillings at a cost of of over £600 pounds. We sought a second opinion at Bupa and were told his teeth were great and no fillings were needed!!! Be warned!!!

Fantastic experience: Beyond the initial prick of the anaesthetic needle, I didn't feel a thing. Considering that what I was having done is fairly intrusive dentistry, this is nothing short of a miracle. Dr Crighton is a wonderful dentist! He is knowledgeable and highly skilled, and last but not least empathetic

But it's 5 stars because they are great dentist, the place is warm and beautiful and does not make you feel like your in a torture chamber. And they know what they are doing. Top place, top dentist.

Fantastic experience: I can't believe I am actually giving a dentist 5 stars. I was seen as an emergency appointment to correct another surgeries failings. I've a long way to go and a nervous patient, but the dentist and dental nurse were so down to earth, explained all the way and were efficient and so professional. All I've ever wanted is a dentist to show they want to help and not just take your money and kick you out the door. I'm grateful and have a bit of faith restored.
