Fantastic experience: Our experience with Helix House has been superb from start to finish for my teenage son’s twin blocks then fixed brace. Everything has been explained to him, his questions answered and reassurance given when needed. The weekly reviews via the App helped him see progress and also to receive gentle encouragement to address issues like brushing technique. He had his fixed brace removed today and it was magical to see his amazing smile! We can’t praise the Helix House team highly enough, but particular thanks go to Joe for his friendly style which put Euan at ease.

Fantastic experience: I believe orthodontic treatment should start early — sometimes in more than one stage — rather than waiting for the single round typically offered in the teenage years through the NHS. My son received his treatment at Helix Orthodontics, where I found exactly the kind of thoughtful, early, and well-planned approach I was looking for. Their pricing was clear and transparent from the start, and I truly cannot fault the treatment. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They were always ready to see us promptly for any emergency (for example, when a part of the braces broke), which made such a difference. The results were absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t recommend Helix Orthodontics more highly — my younger son is now starting his treatment there too!

Fantastic experience: I've just finished an 8 month journey to get my teeth straightened and a gap closed with Helix House, and I have to say I've been delighted with the service from start to finish! I used the Angel Aligner option and they worked great for me. In fact, it was predicted that it might take 18-24 months, but my teeth moved well and the process was much faster, which I was also delighted about! The whole process ran super smoothly and everyone was friendly and helpful along the way. Anshu, Sharon, Vanessa, all the Reception team and everyone else (I'm so sorry if I've not listed your name!) have been lovely. My appointments were always on time and I was never waiting for very long. In fact everything ran seamlessly and where I had any questions between my appointments, I was able to message using the digital monitoring app and I received a response quickly. I have friends who have used other practices and it seems that they've encountered bumps along their path. This didn't happen with Helix House and I will sing their praises because they were bloomin' brilliant! Thank you for making this unknown process a pleasant and smooth one for me. Fantastic experience: I just completed my 15-month treatment with fixed braces, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the very beginning, the receptionists were lovely and welcoming, which made every visit feel comfortable and stress-free. Vanessa and Joe, my orthodontic therapists, were absolutely fantastic. They listened to all my concerns, answered my questions, and made sure I felt confident throughout the process. Their attention to detail and care really made a difference. I’m so pleased with how my smile turned out — it’s better than I imagined! Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone considering orthodontic treatment.

Positive experience: Overall my experience has been good. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly. There are some areas where I feel like improvements can be made related to my specific experience. Communication. 1) At times I have raised questions via the app, I may not get a response for 2-3 days/ I’d have to chase for responses 2) part way through treatment I received the no go response and had to actively chase to understand what was happening, circa 2 weeks later, 3 scans and multiple messages from myself - I was advised a new set of aligners would be needed (I would have preferred if this was handled faster and clearer) 3) general comms throughout the treatment - such as you’re on track, we anticipate this will be your last set of aligners/expect another set of aligners - just to manage expectations on progress. Most recently I’ve been having issues with my attachments where one fell off after an hour of being put on, luckily they were able to fit me in later that day to reattach. In my case I’ve moved away from Nottingham so found this quite frustrating, as it added over an hour to my travel. I came back specifically for my appointment, so ideally wanted everything to be done effectively and efficiently. Even now I feel like the attachments aren’t quite right so may need another trip back. On reflection I do feel like I was heavily influenced to go for the Angel Aligners, which I did select based on the advice given during the consultations. However now looking back I do wish I stuck to my original request for the Invisalign. They are better known in the industry and would have enabled me to see a 3D model which you don’t get with Angel. Considering the price you pay - usually Angel would be cheaper than Invisalign (I didn’t realise this until after I agreed) however at helix they are all the same price. So it did leave me regretting that choice. FYI You don’t really get much time with the orthodontist through your treatment - in my case I saw them briefly when they would pop in to do some filing but they would be gone after a couple of minutes. My treatment is still in progress hopefully complete in a few months. As I said at the start, the staff and environment are very friendly. For me it was more specific issues I’ve faced. Treatment price is on the higher side for orthodontist, the highest I came across even when looking in London, so I just think the overall treatment experience should reflect the price you’re paying for the service and in my opinion it falls short.

Fantastic experience: I had an extremely positive experience with Helix House. During the treatment I had to have a broken tooth removed and Naresh was able to recommend an excellent surgeon to carry out an implant. Naresh and Joe were amazing at adapting plans to deal with my difficult teeth. I have been so impressed with how friendly and helpful the whole team have been and would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My dentist recommended Helix House to me when I decided I needed braces and he felt that I needed more specialist care than he could offer. I am so glad that he did. The care I received was excellent. It took three years to sort my smile but it was worth it. The whole team are friendly and caring and provide first class treatment. Fantastic experience: A big thanks to Naresh, Joe, Tasha, Vanessa and all of the other lovely staff that have looked after me during my treatment. I've just come to the end of my Invisalign treatment, every time I've visited over the years I've felt welcomed, looked after, my treatment has been clearly explained to me and I've felt empowered to make decisions. Recently my circumstances have changed and I'm unable to have my bonded retainers and whitening completed when planned, the team have been so accommodating and worked out a plan that will work for me. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Nottingham, loads of my friends/family have had braces/aligners over the past few years and have come across hidden costs, cutting corners etc. I have no complaints and would say if you're umming and arring then go for it! Fantastic experience: Visiting the orthodontist isn’t usually something that tops anyone’s “favourite things to do” list, but I have to say, my experience at Helix orthodontist was nothing short of spectacular. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended for Invisalign! Although, my treatment did take a lot longer than expected, I was looked after throughout and there were not any corners cut. This was due to how my teeth moved and not the practice themselves. So just take the prediction with a pinch of salt. The investment's paid off and very happy with the end result. Negative experience: Really would not recommend this place. I haven’t had full treatment but had an initial consultation. The treatment plan I was quoted was for a severe case, however other orthodontists have said I am a mild case. I asked for a second opinion of my X-rays from the other specialist, due to having conflicting advice from other orthodontists, and was told they will not give me any specialist time unless I pay £150 to have another consultation, a new set of X-rays, and a new scan. It takes 5 mins for a specialist to review an X-ray, and this was for a consultation that I’ve already paid for. I then struggled to get a refund for my initial consultation fee (despite it being free through an offer) and they also would not honour their Black Friday offer, even though I followed all the instructions listed on their website for the offer - stating some condition of needing to pay a £500 that isn’t listed on the offer, which clearly states no hidden fees. Really unhappy with how helix house have treated me as a potential patient. They’re difficult at every stage so far and can’t even offer something as basic as a second opinion of an X-ray without wanting more money, but expect you to agree to a £5000+ treatment. Avoid and go elsewhere. Edit: In response to the reply from Helix House below regarding it being difficult to tell from an x-ray alone. I had just had a consultation where the orthodontist said they would need to see an X-ray to specifically check my tooth roots. I provided the x-ray and they wanted another £150 to review it and for me to pay for one of their x-rays. The x-ray I provided was only 3 months old - so the response provided by Helix House below stating it is hard to tell from an x-ray alone, is not valid in this case given I had just paid for a £150 consultation and they requested an x-ray themselves.

Fantastic experience: Helix house are fab. I was 25 when my journey started and had bad teeth (lots of crowding, a perturbing canine) and they’ve been great through the last 4 years. Friendly and helpful staff, professional and clearly love what they do. THANK YOU!!

It was quite an easy decision in the end though to go with @HelixHouseOrthodontics in West Bridgford, Nottingham, with the predominant conclusion coming through was one of trust. Let’s face it, the financial commitment for going through this is quite substantial, no matter who you go with, so you want zero regrets, especially when your good looks are at stake. I am now 2 months in to an 18 month process, & couldn’t be happier with the fantastically high levels of service I am receiving from Helix. From the simplest query to the tweaks & adjustments necessary during my ‘better smile’ journey, I could not be happier with how things are going. If you are wondering whether to do this or whom to entrust with your teeth & your money, I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I had been so insecure about my smile for absolute years and for as long as I remember always put “want straight teeth” on any dental forms when they asked what I wished to fix about my smile. I previously had a few disappointing experiences with previous dentists which really made me hesitant to try another, but I decided to go with Helix House & I can hand on heart say it was the best decision i’ve ever made for my teeth! You get given a Dental Monitoring Kit which allows you to track your journey via scans which get checked every week by professionals. Fantastic experience: Every appointment was easy and fast， staffs there were really nice and would chat with you making the atmosphere really relaxed。 questions i had were well answered and the whole process was really smooth。 the dentists are also really gentle on your tooth so there were no uncomfortable situations on the teeth ( unless inevitable) overall, this one and a half year with them is the best dental treatment i had. I highly recommend Helix House Orthodontics :)

Negative experience: I had treatment for Damon clear braces back in March 2018. I was initially told my treatment would take 18 months, but this got dragged out to over 3 years!!!! (I had consultations at two other practices and they both estimated 12-18 months for my treatment.) The treatment started well, however, it was clear halfway through my treatment at the orthodontist was struggling with my case, as he spent months and months and months trying to move the same couple of teeth at each appointment. I made it very clear at the start of my treatment that I wanted to broaden my smile as I had a large buccal corridor that was showing which I was unhappy about & hated to show off my smile because of it. My Dentist kept agreeing he could rectify this, but this didn’t improve at all . Nearly 2.5 years after starting my initial treatment my braces were removed during lockdown. The orthodontist dealing with my case didn’t even check my teeth before the orthodontist assistant removed the braces. I still had gaps around my front 4 teeth, and wasn’t able to get a permanent retainer fitted due to covid restrictions. When I got home I cried as I was so unhappy that after 2.5 years my teeth still looked horrible. I immediately called and told them I was not happy with the end result, in which they kindly fitted another brace free of charge. I was told that the clarity brace that was now being fitted was much better and would provide a better result. I’m not sure why they waited nearly 3 years to tell me this, as this could’ve been changed earlier during treatment and could’ve saved a lot of time for both parties. Finally in May 2021 my braces were removed. Whilst my teeth did look better than they did previously, they still didn’t meet my expectations. My overall smile still looked narrow, and my incisors still looked like they turned inwards, but at this point I just wanted my braces off so agreed for them to be removed. Be warned you will have to wait a week for your removable retainers to be made, and your teeth WILL move during this time, so please bear this in mind when choosing your orthodontic practice. My teeth moved quite a bit whilst waiting for my retainers and I’m now left with a lovely gap!!!! On a positive note, the team are all very friendly and accommodating and they always managed to fit me in if I had issues with a bracket falling off etc. I just feel this orthodontist takes on too many patients and they do not have enough time to spend with each individual patient to make sure the treatment plan is working for them, as you only get probably 15/20 minutes max with your orthodontic between each appointment. On a separate note, their referral scheme is a joke. I referred a friend who went on to spend over £4000 and all I got in return was a £10 coffee voucher!!!!!….Other orthodontics will offer things such as free tooth whitening or an electric toothbrush.

Fantastic experience: Straightened my teeth in less than 2 years ready for my wedding!

Positive experience: All the staff are nice and very welcoming although I am really disappointed with their website when calculating the price as it’s not at all accurate and can build someone with false hope especially when on a low income like myself. Everything else is spot on! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that can afford it.

Fantastic experience: After a lot of research I decided to go with Helix House for my Invisilign treatment as they are Diamond standard providers and I wanted the best ! My teeth were corrected within a year and I am highly delighted with the result, I can't stop smiling! The whole team are lovely, very friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: I went to collect my new retainers from Helix House as had some dental work done and was in need of new retainers. I went with my 11 week old daughter that is breastfed. I arrived 30 minutes earlier was offered a drink, and as my little one was getting hungry, I was very plesently surprised when Maxine offered me a separate room so I can get comfortable and have a bit of a privacy. This is one of the reasons why I would recommend Helix House Orthodontics to anyone, not only they are professional, they will look after you and are breastfeeding friendly, is so lovely, I must admit this have made my day. Fantastic experience: The team at Helix were brilliant from my initial consultation, at which they clearly presented the costs, pros and cons of the various options, to the end of my treatment. They were always friendly and happy to answer any questions I asked. I underwent Invisalign treatment and the second half of my treatment coincided with the Covid pandemic. The team at Helix managed my progress really well despite the period of a few months when they were not able to see me in person. Once they were able to open, the measures they took meant I always felt safe in the clinic. I'm very happy with the results of my treatment and the experience as a whole and could not recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I was really apprehensive about getting braces as an adult but from my very first consultation the team at Helix made me feel completely at ease and relaxed about the whole process which supported my decision to get ceramic braces. Fantastic experience: The Team at Helix House were fantastic - everyone there really does their best. My son was eligible for NHS treatment as his teeth were at risk, but the wait was over 30 months so we decided to pay (he does a lot of sport). The price was similar everywhere so we chose Helix House as they were lovely and close to school. I went with him to important appointments but he was happy to pop in by himself for check ups on his way home. The treatment went very smoothly despite the pandemic. We'd definitely use them again should the need arise.

Fantastic experience: OMG!!! This practice and all the team are amazing! My daughter has wanted braces for a while, she could not have NHS treatment, so over lockdown I had a look around for somewhere to treat her. The process with Helix House was so simple, we sent some photos of her teeth on the website, within a few days the Specialist Orthodontist sent a report back with the issues she could see with her teeth and brace options. A few days later a lovely, bubbly lady rang me and talked me through the options and prices, she also said she could do a zoom call so that my daughter could be involved! I found this extremely thoughtful. We booked an appointment for a consultation, it was a very easy process. When we went to the practice our first impression was wow this is not a 'normal' practice everything was so bright and the staff were so friendly. We had our temperature checked in the car park, my daughter had an xray and some photos of her teeth. We had already decided which brace she wanted. The orthodontist looked at her teeth and the nurse talked us through the procedures. We talked about how the practice had, had to adapt to the current times and gosh how well this team has adapted! Although I am hoping things go back to normal soon so that I can have a coffee and a chin wag with these women on those comfy looking sofas! We made an appointment to have my daughters brace put on, she had to go in to this one herself. She said how chatty the clinical staff were and how they made her feel at ease. And whats even better .. we don't have to travel to appointments unless it is really needed because we take photos every week to send to the orthodontist on the practice app... absolutely brilliant! We are not far into treatment but I am absolutely over the moon with Helix House and I can't say a big enough thank you to Dr Sood and all of her fabulous team!

Positive experience: Communication was really poor, I attended a consultation pre-covid which went well but after asking some follow up questions and waiting for a response I still haven't heard anything despite chasing numerous times and being assured someone would call me back. Really disappointed as could be well on my way with treatment by now but will have to start to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: After many deliberations about the possibility of improving my teeth I decided to make an appointment with Helix House. Have been given lots of different options I decided on having insignia braces fitted. 2 years later I am delighted with the results and cannot speak highly enough of Naresh and Anshu, and all of their excellent team. There is a really noticeable improvement in my smile ( very handy for my daughters wedding photos!) and my general oral hygiene.
