Positive experience: Initially we were extremely impressed and satisfied as you gave us an emergency appointment straight away. After the initial appointment, you scheduled another appointment for later in that day to carry out the work. Sadly this became a temporary fix due to not having the correct colour of tooth treatment so another appointment has been made for my son in 3 months time in when my son will then be over the age of 18, so he will then have to pay. This is a real shame as the understanding was that the second appointment that he had was to carry out the work required and not to be a temporary fix.

Positive experience: I'm a very poorly person and I also suffer anxiety it takes alot for me to come in and I left in tears was made to feel like I am disgusting in the dentist eyes the work itself was rushed but is ok I hate my teeth and I hate myself even more now

Positive experience: No real issues but after having X-ray it was suggested I have a new crown at over £750 and if work needs to be done re under the crown this will be over £2,000. The issue I have is I need time to consider this and have another look at the X-rays before I pay out for any treatment. It’s a lot of money for most people. I’m not having any problem with the tooth. So for me another discussion would be useful.

Fantastic experience: I am severely disabled & had to go round the back. It is rather a long way but just managed it. Pity no easy access at front. But staff were all very understanding & helpful. I liked the dentist Paya who was east to talk to & helpful. Pity steps at front has never had handrail replaced as you cannot grip it not that it would have me with my problem. Well done all staff .

Fantastic experience: Hi there, I have just been in for my first dentist appointment and my first hygienist appointment. I just want to extend my biggest and warmest thanks to Helen and Anisha (and the two receptionists, whose names I don't have) My experience with croft dental in sudbury was so truly awful that it was genuinely a stretch to not just think... "screw it, I'll never go to a dentist again". Everything about Damira - the building, the receptionists, the care and attention is just... such an improvement on my previous experience. To go from being shamed, belittled and degraded in a run-down dirty building with surly receptionists and horrifyingly rude dentist - to a lovely clean building, zero wait times, and just genuinely feeling cared for and looked after by four polite, friendly, gentle and knowledgeable professionals.... Genuinely makes me feel quite emotional. I am looking forward to getting my dental health back on track with your knowledge and help. Thanks once again. Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist for a very long time due to being nervous .I spoke to the lovely receptionist who reassured me that everything would be ok . I need an emergency appointment due to a broken tooth which they gave me the same day . The dentist and nurse was very good , explained everything that was happening . I had a temporary filling and have been referred for an extraction under sedation . I am now thinking of joining their dental plan and go regularly . Overall a very good experience

Positive experience: My daughter had her braces fitted last week. My father said the professional was literally watching the clock and rushing the whole time. My daughter spent the weekend with two very sharp long wires cutting her cheek to pieces and her being unable to eat or talk properly. An emergency appointment on Wednesday and the dentist snipped the too long wires and all is fine. Less clock watching and more focus on the patient. I know we are only NHS patients but we have paid for years into our national insurance. I do hope the service improves.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was Paya ,he told me what he was looking for and treatment I may have to give my teeth a better chance of lasting longer(my words)...This time I went back for the said treatment, He was excellent, friendly and very gentle he knows I am a nervous patient and was asking all the time if I was in need of a break.cant thank him and his nurse enough it really makes a big difference being treated with respect and care. Fantastic experience: Damira - My first impression -This Dentist practice is very warm and welcoming. When you enter the staff are very friendly and happy to help you when you arrive. My dentist was very thorough and gave me alot of advice on how to tailor my teethe to how I would like them to look in the future. She offered a range of knowledge on how to achieve this goal and gave me a range of the latest products avaliable. The hygienists at Dameria were very friendly and efficient and also offered helpful advice. Very happy with my first time here at this practice.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful. I struggle with anxiety massively. The dentist was amazing, made me feel at ease. The dental nurse was brilliant too, kept me calm and talked me through my whole tooth extraction. I have so many more teeth to be done and knowing it will be with these 2 lovely staff members it makes me feel a lot less nervous! Honestly can’t fault this dental surgery!

Fantastic experience: I recently seen my dentist Paya at the Damira Dental Practice and I had two fillings carried out the whole procedure was totally painless. In my opinion the dental work that Paya carried out was to a very high standard and I would highly recommend this dentist along with the practice. I am now over 60 years of age and I am now finding that the NHS can no longer provide the dental treatment that I require so I have recently paid for private treatment with the Damira Dental practice and their treatment prices are very fair and the standard of work I received was to a very high standard. Also on my recent visits to the practice I have seen two different dentists, Paya and Manisha who are both very professional in delivering a very high standard of work and will go that extra mile to reassure their patients, they are a credit to the Damira Dental Practice and I will look forward to seeing either of them again for any future treatment. Also if you find like I did that the NHS treatment is no longer viable as my teeth have got older, then you would be wise to look to the Damira practice for advice. Mr Keith .D.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist polite and helpful and Helen Moinahan an excellent dentist and while the tooth extraction gave some ongoing problems there was no difficulty arranging emergency appointments, however I find it hard to see how you justify a charge of £27.40 just to issue a prescription for antibiotics which was part of an ongoing treatment.

Positive experience: I waited nearly 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before being called for a checkup which lasted barely 10 minutes including two X-rays although the staff were kind and friendly.

Positive experience: Reception staff are very professional, but unfortunately I had to wait over half an hour before I was seen for my check up. I felt this was very rushed as they were running so behind. If I turned up half an hour late for my appointment I am sure I would have been charged for missing it.

Negative experience: Gave me wrong time for appointment and refused to see me when I attended on the time I was advised too! They would not refund either even though it was their mistake. First appointment I waited for 30 minutes as they were running late. So what is good for the goose is not good for the gander!

Fantastic experience: DR Usman Naveed is a brilliant dentist best one yet! Always really polite and informative. You can tell he is loves his job from the service you receive. Had a tooth taken out yesterday and it wasn’t a very nice feeling but he was kind,caring and very patient with me as I needed time through the process. Positive experience: On this visit we had to use the disabled entrance at the rear of the building as I had recently had a stroke and was using a lightweight wheelchair. This was not very easy for 3 reasons: 1st, - the top of the ramp had a metal threshold which was not level or easy to cross. 2nd - there were at least 2 corners which provided barely enough space to turn the wheelchair 3rd - there was a door leading down some steep steps which had been left wide open I could not fault the staff both at Reception and the dental nurse and dentist I saw in the way they ensured I was seen for my appointment without too much difficulty by opening up a ground floor room in which my consultation could take place.

Positive experience: My last few experiences have been extremely good however this time was not. When I arrived for my appointment I was told I was not seeing the dentist I had been for the past few months because I’m on Denplan and had to swap back to the original dentist and the time was also going to be different. The timing was going to be tight for me but was told I would probably be able to get in earlier. I waited but had to cancel the appointment as the dentist was running so behind. The receptionist was very helpful and managed to reschedule the appointment to the afternoon. However the afternoon appointment was no better. I was not advised the dentist was running late (although I should have guessed from my morning appointment) and had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment to actually see the dentist for 5 minutes. I never had this problem with Hema she was always on time. It’s a shame you can’t choose your dentist! The girls in reception are lovely and really do their best. It would be great if the dentist could actually communicate to staff of delays and changes so the receptionist are informed. And if appointments are going to be changed, please notify patients.

Fantastic experience: I was quite cross with the situation. When I last saw the dental surgeon he said I needed my bottom teeth coated with new enamil as mine had worn away which is why my teeth were all red. He said he would e-mail the dental nurses to repaint. When I saw the nurse she said they had not heard from him and had no such request. It cost me a fortune for the taxi, plus I had to pay for the visit and had no treatment. I am usually very happy with the treatment I receive at Damira Dental care.

Fantastic experience: Since my last review I have to say the situation has improved enormously and I have no complaints. My dentist, Manisha, and her assistant have been superb. Manisha is extremely knowledgeable and caring in her treatment. I have always been fully cognizant of what is required and she keeps me informed of what I might expect and how to deal with it. Fantastic experience: My daughter has been attending appointments at the orthodontist. Her appointments was spread out equally. Her teeth now look great. Never waited long to be called in quick and efficient when in chair. Advice on aftercare given. Positive experience: Dentist was lovely . Just for me being very anxious patient, over hour wait after my appointment time was not good for me. I was about to leave surgery as anxiety got overwhelming for me. Had I been pre warned on arrival I would have gone for walk and came back.

Negative experience: I’ve been with the practice over 30 years and have experienced an increasing decline in their customer approach and administration. The latest experience is, only a month after an annual check up, I found myself with a painful infection. Perhaps not entirely the dentist fault, but after x rays (which are taken on each check up) I was informed I had a wisdom tooth growing in the wrong direction which caused the problem and if I wanted he would refer me to the NHS for a surgical removal in addition to issuing a prescription for antibiotics to treat the infection. This all seems reasonable, but I can’t help wondering why the problem with this tooth and the subsequent ‘cure’ has not been identified and treatment advised to me on previous check ups. On offering the prescription to the local pharmacy, it was declined as it did not include the practices ’stamp’ showing their NHS contract reference. Back to the practice to get the prescription stamped. I was asked to pay for the dentists fee, which had actually been paid immediately after the initial dental treatment. Obviously I challenged this only to be told “oh sorry you don’t actually have anything to pay my colleague hasn’t updated your account yet” None of these incidents are earth shaking, but do follow the decline in the practice I’ve experienced over the past few years. I don’t expect Harley Street excellence in a local dental practice but I think it’s reasonable to expect that they do actually do the jobs they are being paid for.

Fantastic experience: I was really worried when my dentist Mr Bradbury retired but I didn't need to. I have found the most amazing dentist Hemma. She is not only a brilliant dentist but a lovely,person I feel happy to sit in the dentist chair( I have a dread of dentists)

Fantastic experience: I registered as a private patient on the Tuesday, had an appointment on the Friday when I signed up for the essential plan. I had a problem with my denture, and received a further appointment on the following Tuesday which was very satisfying. I had been looking for a dentist for several weeks and glad that I have found a very good one. Thank you Damira!
