Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at the Victoria Dental Clinic for more than 20 years and am very satisfied with the treatments I have received as a private patient over that time. The practice has kept up-to-date with developments in dental care, BDC guidance, government requirements regarding Covid and advances in dental and general technology. Ms Chalal always fully explains what they propose to do, why, the alternatives and possible outcomes and explains any x-rays in detail. This is particularly important to me now as I am on chemotherapy medication which affects the whole body. The dental technician is also friendly, professional and works well with Ms Chalal, as well as communicating well with the patient. The surgery is always scrupulously clean and thoroughly cleaned after each patient The reception area is clean and comfortable and the staff are polite and helpful. I receive timely reminders of check-ups and appointments via email and text. The practice updated its systems a few years ago so all medical forms, payment, etc. are online.

Fantastic experience: Miss Shah has been my dentist for a decade or so, and I have also been looked after by the two hygienists (mostly by Claire Cowes). They have cared well for my teeth and gums. (I have had aggressive gum disease since my twenties; my gums require regular monitoring an cleaning to prevent tooth loss and further gum and bone loss. I'm in my late forties now, and still have all of my teeth.) Like most people, I am naturally nervous of treatment, but have found them gentle, and good at communicating the planned treatment. My 5 year old twin daughters have also been visiting Miss Shah since they were 2.5 years old. All of the team at the Practice are very friendly, welcoming them, professional. They are very good at talking to my daughters, calming them down to have their teeth checked. (They were very pleased with their sticker at the end of the appointment too!)

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction, which was very professional, as painless as one could hope for, and quick! It was my first such treatment so I have little to compare it with, but I was very happy with the treatment, and the attention before and after - plenty of information about what to expect, and how to deal with the aftermath.

Fantastic experience: I`ve been a patient of Victoria Dental Clinic for many years. The dentists are excellent as are the dental nurses and receptionists.

Negative experience: I had a free consultation with Dr. Anika Mistry last year, followed by a paid treatment. Initially, I experienced discomfort and difficulty flossing after the procedure, which I reported to Dr. Mistry. I was advised that this was acceptable. However, one year later, I have been informed that I require a repeat of the same treatment. Given the initial discomfort, the reported difficulty with flossing post-procedure, and the need for a repeat treatment within a year, I am disappointed with the outcome. This has resulted in additional expense. Based on my personal experience, I would advise potential patients to seek a second opinion and carefully consider their options before proceeding with treatment from Anika Mistry.

She was very understanding of my anxiousness around dentistry and was really helpful with my son, the daily challenge of getting him to brush his teeth. Great experience. Fantastic experience: The hygienist I saw yesterday was lovely, she has a lovely nature very warm and friendly she took time to talk to me and stood in front of me talking so I could see her. Very professional and gave me advice. She was very gentle during the process, stopped in between and informed me what she was doing the whole way along. A very lovely lady and although I wasn't anxious I could see how if someone was she would straight away out then at ease. I don't write reviews but wanted to on this occasion as she deserves to hear the feedback on what a great person she is.

Fantastic experience: A really good morning at the dentist, I knew exactly what he was doing step by step and a excellent job done on my front tooth filling. It only took about 25 minutes for the whole job including clean and polish. No injection, did not feel a thing; my choice. I had to go again today as I had yet another chipped tooth and received the same excellent service. It didn’t take long so I’m really pleased. I’ll have to be more careful about eating dried banana with nuts. Yet again, went for my regular check up. Had a good clean and polish, all is well. About 15 minutes and I was free to go. Really happy. Another check up, clean and polish and a good tip on using TePe brushes dipped in mouth wash between my teeth. Will do. Excellent service given in a clean environment. My first checkup in 2023 with a different member of the team. Very good service as usual, no worries. After having a wisdom tooth removed all has healed up very well, went for a checkup and even the dentist was happy. Went for a checkup today but will have to follow up with the hygienist, not unexpected. Very quick service.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown/ cap fall out on Friday night, horrible experience and was really worried I couldn't see a dentist till Monday. Contacted Victoria Dental Clinic as they did Saturday app. They looked after me so well. The receptionist was understanding and kind and when she didn't have any appointments she spoke to one of the dentists for advice and we formed a plan. Turned out they had a cancellation and did end up fitting me in later that day. Their communication was great, before during and after the procedure. The dentist answered all of my questions and I was in and out quickly! Very happy with the service and I'll be returning for any future issues. Update: had a second appointment for the same crown/ cap (my fault, it was the Christmas toffee that I just HAD to have) I phoned at 9 when the lines opened and they had me in very quickly as they had an emergency appointment available. I was in and out very quickly and everything went swimmingly. Lovely team, very happy to keep me informed throughout and still very happy with the service I've encountered so far

Fantastic experience: Very good at arranging emergency appointments when needed

Negative experience: Constant repairs or whatever, so if by any luck you can reach reception you can't get an appointment. The dentists are not that good, couldn't file a filling and crown property, so had to go 3 times. Fillings have fallen off more than ones. Wouldn't recommend. The only good thing is they work with the NHS.

Her tone was very condescending, not willing to listen to reasoning (which I received by the dentist herself), as if she is stuck on a overly simplistic booking system. Honestly if that’s what being treated by a human is, I rather get an AI receptionist: more efficient and courteous at least.

Fantastic experience: Saw the oral surgeon to get a back tooth removed that had previously been root canal filled and now beyond srepair. Was extremely nervous about it as onlly had teeth removed under sedation before, and I can say having the local injection and having it removed this way was not as bad as I thought, not a nice experience but did not feel any pain so would not be as scared again

Fantastic experience: UPDATED June 2023 - Service still excellent. They're always so helpful and kind here. I feel they look after my teeth well, but don't make me pay for anything I don't actually need. I'd definitely recommend them, but unfortunately they're not currently taking on new NHS patients. July 2023 - fitted me in same day for an emergency appointment and were kind and thorough as usual.

Fantastic experience: I have almost completed my first round of NHS treatment with Victoria Dental Clinic and have received first class attention from everyone involved in each stage along the way. Very professional approach but everybody is also very friendly. I recommend this clinic without hesitation. By far the best dental service I have ever received.

Negative experience: The actual dentist is fab . I was in the middle of having dentures made which I found very difficult to wear. My closest family member was blue lighted into London hospital and i slept on the floor in the hospital to be near her ( she nearly died) and missed my appointment. I went to bali amd had 2 appointments booked for when I returned. 2 days before my much anticipated appointment i had a call asking me not to come back because I'd missed my appointment 4 months earlier. And had missed 6 appointments in 8 years. Would have been decent to let me know so that I could have organised a new dentist . I didn't deliberately miss the appointment! The time before that my home had flooded & I had a dreadful 6 months living in hotels with my dog. Seriously, zero heart whatsoever and All about the money !
