Fantastic experience: After searching for an NHS dentist I found South Cliff Dental Group and have been very happy with the service and professionalism, especially from the Dental Therapist Mehar and the Nurse Madhar who are both always friendly and professional, would recommend.

Fantastic experience: My 7year old had her first dental procedure (fillings), with Mehar (Dental therapist) and her Nurse Mohith. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, Mehar explained the whole procedure to my daughter, managed her anxiety throughout; both of them were extremely gentle with my daughter. The reception staff was great as well. Will be coming back for sure. Thank you Mehar and Mohith.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with how this clinic handled my situation. I arrived slightly late due to unavoidable delays and tried calling them three times on the way — no one answered. When I finally got there, they refused to offer any flexibility or understanding, even though I had received no reminder beforehand and didn’t use any service at all. What’s even more frustrating is that when I first visited for a check-up, the receptionist asked if I wanted to pre-book a hygiene session. Out of trust in the clinic, I agreed — and was asked to pay the full amount upfront (£29.50 for the check-up + £75 for hygiene = £104.50). Looking back, this felt very unreasonable. Most other clinics only charge for hygiene after it’s completed. Now I realise their so-called “policy” is rigid and quite absurd. I wasn’t asking for a free rebooking — just some basic fairness and empathy. £75 might not be a big amount to some, but it is to me. I won’t be returning, and I hope others are aware of how things are handled here.

Negative experience: Since it's been taken over there are countless issues: 1) appointments cancelled last minute (multiple times) due to staffing. 2) Recommend unneeded treatment. On point 2, I was advised of multiple fillings and a potential root canal following a routine checkup. Due to having Invisalign, I happened to meet with my private dentist during a brace checkup and asked if the work was required and was stated not at all and that the treatment would have been negative on my dental hygiene. Awful, don't recommend.

Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time today! I haven’t been to the dentist for 4 years which I’m embarrassed to say. I had poor experiences as a child and am very very anxious about the dentist. I felt at ease right away. I told the dentist how anxious I was and he understood and told me everything he did while doing it so there were no surprises. He explained all the suggested treatments and allowed time for me to ask questions. I can’t believe how positive this experience was! I needed this and feel like it’s made such a difference to my anxiety

Negative experience: Well I haven't even got as far as to my appointment date, before I realised after calling to talk to the receptionist today about my broken tooth that they couldn't actually fix it, I was told they only do fillings, only bands 1 and 2. I thought this was odd from an nhs dentist which claims: (South Cliff Dental Group is a people-first network of practices, and every one of our locations offers both NHS and private care. We believe healthy smiles are vital for overall health, and offering NHS treatments is how we can help more patients access the dental care they need.) So I google why a dentist wouldnt offer band 3? and it said it could be too complex for them. so I look on fb and read their reviews and keep on reading that there's not a qualified dentist. So that's a no for me thanks. 111 here i come. I did think it was odd that 90% of the good reviews are from names I couldn't even begin to pronounce, Then I looked at their other reviews and it seems they have either reviewed all of your branches or haven't even left India

Negative experience: I rang for an urgent appointment as I was in some pain, was offered an appointment at the end of April. Needless to say I have changed dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dental therapist Mehar is very professional, polite, patient and understanding. Everything is explained and she is very gentle. The Nurse Mohit working with her is also polite, professional and very good at his job. I have always been nervous at having fillings but they both put me at ease and did a wonderful job.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist Ellie is a breath of fresh air, welcoming, polite and efficient offering excellent customer service. The dentist Hari was pretty much seamless at the filling I had done, professional from start to finish. Finally the hygienist Gauthami was absolutely outstanding, my teeth look the best they have done in 30 years. All in all I'm very happy with the service I received today.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the Eastleigh area and decided to register with Southcliff Dental's Eastleigh branch. From the moment I called, the reception team was fantastic, collecting all my details and scheduling an appointment with ease. My visit with the clinician was excellent, and I had a great experience overall. Afterward, I registered my entire family, and we all had a thorough checkup last week. The clinician was wonderful with the kids, and the nurse was extremely attentive. I also booked the hygienist package for myself and my wife, which I believe is definitely worth it. We’re very happy with the service and I highly recommend them. Thanks!

She takes the time to explain the x-rays and gave me advice on how to best take care of my teeth. I recommend anyone to come here.

Negative experience: Poor service, and they do not care for the client. Left a Voicemail to which when I then called back days later was told, We dont listen to the voicemails as we get too many.

Negative experience: Despite being registered as an NHS patient, when I called to make an appointment I was advised that I would have to call 111 as they did not have any NHS dentists and so could not offer any services. When I then mentioned that I had a slight niggle when drinking very cold water, I was told that I couldn't even be seen privately as I needed medicine. This was all said without knowing who I was or the extent of and "pain" or discomfort. Absolutely disgusting. I would urge people to report such behaviour/attitude/experiences to CQC.

Fantastic experience: Before switching to south cliff dental, I had gum disease that developed over the COVID period. Over the last year, Gauthami has helped massively to get that under control and it has stabilized. Gauthami has always been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in every appointment! I haven't had any problems with my care so far and I recommend their service! Also a special thank you to Gauthami and the rest of the team at south cliff dental! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in a very long time due to a bad experience when I was younger, I had an check up appointment and needed 2 fillings and a white composite bond on my front tooth, Arrya (hope I’ve spelt that right) was fantastic she made me feel at complete ease and reassured me and asked if I was ok throughout, I also had a hygienist appointment and that also went well.

Negative experience: Called up today to arrange a filling for my son and then a crown for me. The guy I spoke to was rude and didn’t listen to me at all. I said forget the crown and just book for my son. He then kept telling me to make sure I turn up at the appointment? I corrected him and said I have never missed a booking and I don’t appreciate being accused of failure to attend, any way he ignored me and just carried on with the booking. At the end of the call told me to make sure we attend. I’m so annoyed, manners cost nothing no wonder you have not customers, 30 minutes later I get a call from the dentist asking me to take down my review as it was the old receptionist mistake. This place seriously has no customer care skills, I did cancel this appointment and called up to do it and the person again was rude. You don’t speak to people in the manner that you did, I was polite to you. I cancelled my appointment previously as we had a virus. Unprofessional company who will call you and get you to take your honest review down., provide a better service you May keep your clients

Fantastic experience: I had a broke in half front Tooth and had have a few repairs over the years unfortunately before Christmas my repair came off and I had to get it fixed with a temporary repair at a walk in centre, I was left with a horrible repair that I was not happy with at all. I changed dentist over to South Cliff in Eastleigh and was very happy with their friendly and confident service and was made to feel very welcome and was assured that they could help me out with my broken tooth and sort some other issues with my teeth. My dentist Mehdi ( I really hope I got that correct ) was lovely and friendly and she really made me feel confident that they could give me a repair to my tooth that I would be happy with. Had my tooth repaired there a few days ago now and I’m very happy with the results. She really took her time to make sure I was happy with how it looked and that was a really big deal to me. I’m on a new journey now to make sure I can have the nicest teeth possible for me and I’m confident south cliff are the ones to do this for me I highly recommend !

Positive experience: I saw a very friendly and knowledgeable dental therapist for my check up. She wasn't too pushy but made recommendations. Only dropped a star because she took longer to take the xrays and it was difficult to keep still for that long due to the gag response.

Fantastic experience: They are soo friendly and nice. They tell you what’s wrong and they gave you methods how to fix your beautiful teeth. I had my teeth clean and they we were patient.

Negative experience: I have stuck with this place purely due to the lack of NHS dentists, however, I’m done and I will not be returning. I had a crown fitted a while ago and it was an horrendous experience. It wasn’t right but I just had to get out of the chair so I left knowing it wasn’t right. When I booked a check up I said I did not want him again and I was told he’d left. I then saw a lovely dentist and hygienist but both then left. The next hygienist I saw last year was horrific. It was so bad I asked her to stop halfway through which she did but then had no comprehension of why and just offered me another appointment in six months time. I have been today for a filling and whilst the treatment itself was absolutely fine, her manner was not. She was rude and abrupt throughout. Good manners costs nothing!

Negative experience: First impressions matter and I should have gone with my gut feeling. Entered and tried to check in for my appointment. The young lady at the desk was more interested in her phone that me. After asking for my name 3 times I was asked to sit down. As i looked around the reception area I noticed how grubby and unclean it was behind the reception desk with wires and broken light fittings on the wall, the paint work was in need of a good clean and touch up and a very large very dusty cobweb hanging from the sky light behind reception almost made me walk out and I should have really gone with my gut feeling Not happy registered with this practice for NHS treatment after confirming they were taking on NHS patients. At my first appointment I was told that anything other that a basic filling would have to be done by a private dentist and they did not have an NHS dentist at the practice. I have now made a formal complaint to the NHS as I feel misled. I would advise anyone to look else where for an NHS dentist as this practice is NOT a NHS practice but if you need anything other than a easy filling you will have to go to one of their private dentist.

Fantastic experience: After trying three other dentists, it was great to find a dentist that bothered to look at the issue and one who potentially saved me a considerable amount of money, if the remedial treatment works. At all times I was treated with personability and advised of all procedures before starting. The treatment room was very peaceful and calming and I felt safe and comfortable in the dentist’s hands. All in all, an enjoyable experience and I would recommend this practice if you have any dental problems, as they are an excellent practice for complicated dental issues. I cant Forget Receptionist team as well as they are Knowledgeable person .one Girl on the reception Suggest me each and everything very clearly which help me to scheduled my all future check up and planing . So Overall I'm happy with the Great Services.

Negative experience: There is not a Qualified Dentist here. Waited for 40 mins only to be told that the dentist couldn't do what I needed to be done as he was not qualified. The receptionist didn't take any details from me when I turned up so the dentist had no information and I had to write my address down as the assistant couldn't understand English enough to write it down. Overall a bad experience and will never recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: We had our yearly check up. In the check up after an X-ray etc she asked if I had had any pain on my top teeth, no I said. Looks like you need a couple of filling and if you are happy I will go ahead. As a trusting person I agreed and after i had issues and pain in all of the so called repairs in the teeth I had never had issues previously. I went back and she put in another one. Eventually she tells me she is not a dentist and if I want to solve the pain issues I have to pay to see their private dentist as they don’t have an nhs one. I have now heard this has happened to dozens if not more people. I will be searching for legal advice.

Fantastic experience: 1st time visiting this dentist today for me and my husband... After reading some mixed reviews i wasn't sure if we were making a mistake..... But i have to say ws were pleasantly surprised.... Everyone was very friendly and respectful... We saw a lady dentist called Ayria ( not sure spelling is correct) she was friendly and informative, took details of any medication... Did xrays, full check up... I needed a sml filling which she did while i was there... I felt comfortable there... Dentist room really clean. I was told the pricing before any treatment began.... I dont know what this dentist practice was like in the past but i would recommend it now.....

Fantastic experience: We came to the dental practitioner and were expecting a hygienist appointment on a Saturday However the dentist/ hygienist we were going to see wasnt in and cancelled without us being notified before, we were told the appointment was cancelled and due to my son which has braces and was going to put his bottom ones on Monday we had to do the hygienist on Saturday. However due to a young lady called Ellie which was at the reception she tried to do her best to help us out in the situation so she looked for available places in the timetable for Saturday. With difficulty she was able to give us a place with Dental therapist Mehar and Nurse Hency. They accepted us for a slot 30 minutes after which was surprising seeng that there was a lot of people waiting at the time however due to both sides having good communication and organisation we were able to get the slot. Mehar and Hency both did a great job at cleaning my sons teeth which are now acceptable to go to the orthodontist. I am very thankful to Ellie, Mehar and Hency and really appreciate their efforts to help our situation.

Negative experience: Me and my husband had the unfortunate opportunity to have an appointment with the hygienist. Having had an appointment with a professional hygienist before, this experience was not worth the £140 we paid. My husband spent on the chair maybe 20 minutes.. Me a whole whopping 13 minutes.. Previous appointment at a different practice lasted 30 minutes. It included the ultrasonic treatment, cleaning the spaces between the teeth, and scaling and polishing that was done on the back and front of the teeth. Looking at my husband's teeth I can see the scaling & polishing was not done on the whole surface of the teeth evenly as he has a whiter line in the middle of the teeth, while the bottom and top is yellowish ... Waste of money, I'd happily pay more for it to be done accurately with more attention to detail.

Negative experience: Do not bother booking an appointment if needing nhs treatment as they cannot help you cannot get antibiotics they do see nhs patients but the dentist is not fully trained by nhs so cannot help you in anyway I do not understand why they are giving out nhs appointments if the case. Staff are really kind and welcoming feel sorry for them as heard them complaining about the lack of equipment provided gloves, cleaning wipes , fluoride ect avoid might be good if going private but not for nhs waste of time for my appointment. Surely don’t think it’s allowed to be posing as an nhs dentist and taking nhs appointments when he’s not nhs trained

Fantastic experience: I suffer with extreme dental anxiety, even having had a panic attack after having booked my appointment. But the dentist and her assistant (got permission to name drop them), Auriya and Heney(?) were heaven sent when it came to allivating my stress and anxiety, whilst cleanly and effectively sorting out my tooth in less than 30 minutes. Going here destroyed my dental anxiety, I'd suggest anyone else suffering should also consider booking here and experiencing the compassion.
