Fantastic experience: Been coming here for years now. We now see Tom (previous dentist was on MAT leave), both my daughter and I are comfortable with Tom and he is extremely knowledgeable and very welcoming. Pleasant experience every time. Would highly recommend.

I am a very nervous patient when it comes to visiting the dentist but Dr Tarika put my mind at ease right away, talked me through everything, was gentle and incredibly reassuring. She ensured that I was comfortable throughout and administered extra local anaesthetic when nerve pain was encountered. Negative experience: Tried to get an appointment as an NHS patient but their system for doing so is disgraceful. It just make you come to a conclusion that they are trying to milk every penny from their patients. Asked for a price to extract a tooth and their bottom end estimate was extortionate, so assuming I'd have to pay a higher price which would probably mean having to sell an organ to get a tooth removed. Your system to get an NHS appointment is appalling C.L.D.P.. Do better and stop rinsing the community.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sim Mangat and his team were absolutely wonderful with my 10-year-old neurodiverse daughter during her tooth extractions. They were patient, kind, and incredibly understanding of her needs. She advised me to floss more often & advised a different way to clean my bottom middle teeth without making me feel bad, she was very professional & reassuring with her manner and made me feel at ease. Fantastic experience: I had dental implant treatment which also included a gum and bone graft, the treatment I had completed about 6 months ago. I have waited to do this review so that I could give feedback on how i have managed with the implants. I have had no issues with the implants infact they just feel like my own teeth. Wassim was brilliant all through the treatment he explained step by step everything that needed to be done. I would recommend Dr Wassim Chawich for anyone want to have implants.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Crook Log Dental Practice over the past number of years now, & I can honestly say for somebody that is not a lover of dentists (like most people), that I don’t get worried about anything when I visit. I had an appointment this morning with Dr Mathilda Wylde to install a crown, all of which was installed with ease & no pain. In all the years of visiting the dentist I have never felt so at ease as when I go to Crook Log & when having treatment. Mathilda Is completely professional & kept me informed of any issues & necessary treatments required. Mathilda is an exceptional dentist & I have recommended her along with Crook Log on many occasions.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Crook Log Dental Practice over many years latterly with Dr Khan and have always found them to be a very friendly, efficient and professional practice. This was however the first time I have had an implant and was not sure what to expect. Dr Chawich who carried out the work explained the procedure every step of the way and I am very pleased with the process and outcome.

Fantastic experience: I’m an anxious person when it comes to the dentist and I can honestly say today was one of my best experiences I have had when attending my session. I was booked in with one of the hygienist whom from the very minute was attentive, supportive, caring and engaging throughout the whole process. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the front desk either very supportive and welcoming from the minute you enter the establishment.

Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience with this dental clinic, and sadly, this wasn’t the first time. On a previous visit with our kids, we faced similar issues, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt back then. Unfortunately, it seems to be a recurring pattern, particularly for NHS patients. It makes us wonder if private customers face these same challenges. Since after-school appointments are nearly impossible to get, we booked a 10:40 AM slot for our two kids, rearranged our work schedules, and got permission from school. However, when we arrived, we were informed the dentist was running 15 minutes late. Shortly after, we were told there was an issue with the chair (which sounded questionable) and asked to either wait or reschedule. When we inquired about the delay, we were told it would take 10-15 minutes, so we opted to wait rather than deal with the hassle of rebooking. However, there was no further communication, and when we checked again, we were informed it could take another 30 to 60 minutes. By this point, the kids were missing school and lunch, so we had no choice but to rebook—only to face the usual issue of no after-school slots being available. NHS appointments after school hours, we were told, are limited to Thursdays and Fridays, which adds to the inconvenience. Me and my wife are also private customers here and To make matters worse, for non-NHS treatments, they require a £45 advance payment for a future appointment—even without scheduling a specific date. This is not communicated ahead and this policy feels unreasonable. On the positive side, the clinic itself is clean, there is convenient parking, and the dentists are good when you eventually get to see them. However, the poor management, lack of communication, and scheduling issues have made our experience frustrating and inconvenient.

I've always been very pleased with check ups, standards of dental treatment and monitoring and the warm, helpful, informative and supportive approaches taken by all staff. Facilities and equipment are modern and fresh feeling. Not always easy to find a space to park for one appointment Thank you Crook Log Dental!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr Simrath Mangat for anyone thinking about getting composite bonding. I came to him over a year ago (so this is a long overdue review!), wanting to have old bonding taken off as I didn’t like the shape and discolouration. He talked me through my options and we decided to get my teeth whitened and then get bonding done on my front 6 teeth - as you can see from the photo I have some trauma on my front teeth from an accident when I was younger, so this definitely wasn’t an easy job for Dr Simrath. It has been over a year, and I’m still loving my teeth, and he has even polished them up for me recently to keep them looking great. Thanks to his amazing work I now feel confident smiling with my mouth open for the first time in a very long time, so I can’t thank him enough. He is also a very friendly, patient, listens to what you want and instantly makes you feel at ease, which I really appreciate as I can be quite anxious in these situations.

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous about having my first implant as anyone would be, but let me assure you.... Just do it! Zero pain and really, for me a great experience, yes it takes some time from start to finish, but then the end result was worth every penny. Don't over think it, just get it done, you won't regret it, Dr wassim and Roya are a great team, and once again I thank them both.

Fantastic experience: My son is very scared of the dentist. He has Autism and high anxiety and was really nervous about going for a check up at Crook Log dental practice. On our first visit we met Dr Simrath Mangat. He is extremely friendly and professional and put my son at ease. After doing x rays he explained that my son needed to have a large filling done in the damaged tooth that was causing him so much pain. Dr Mangat did an amazing job repairing it, the tooth looks incredible compared to how it looked before. My son is really happy because the pain has now gone and he has promised to go regularly. Highly recommend Dr Simrath Mangat.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by the Hygenist Veronika. She worked carefully around my mouth and the result was my mouth felt really clean. She was very positive about the care I take of my teeth which was very encouraging. I booked another appointment with her in six months.

Negative experience: I am sorry to leave this review. But unfortunately I had a terrible experience. A month ago I had a molar removed, private patient, after the extraction I started to have pain. I called to explain and the ladies at the reception made an appointment for me and asked me for more money. I explained that it was a check-up because I was feeling very bad, among other things they invited me to see the dentist after 2 days. I called 111 and went to another dentist. I had swollen and putulous gums. They gave me antibiotics and after 3 days they cut me and found fragments of bone and other things. I will obviously avoid going. And I am sorry because I spent a month at home due to the unbearable pain in addition to fever and ruined gums. I will reserve the right to file a regular complaint.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Dr Rahul Kalia who I have seen a few times now. He is very good to explain what needs to be done and puts a picture of your teeth on a screen for you to see in detail. I needed a filling replaced and what I like is that he used a topical anaesthetic gel on the gum so I didn’t feel the injection. The whole practice has a feeling of calm, all the staff are polite and friendly I was seen on time so overall it’s 5 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: I am very satisfied with the care given to me by Dr Kalia. He is a highly skilled professional who provides care of a very high standard. I recently had 2 replacement fillings & was in the chair for 1 hour. Dr Kalia and his nurse made me feel at ease throughout the procedure by explaining everything to me. Dr Kalia also checked if I was ok. At the end of the procedure Dr Kalia always talks though his findings and any future treatment plans. I thoroughly recommend this dentist

As this was a very overwhelming & anxious thing for me to go through he put my mind at ease & would always go above & beyond. Fantastic experience: Contacted the practice after my current practice closed and a recommendation, found a lovely lady called Jenny that offered unparalleled service and advice for me, I would not want to attend anywhere else now, I felt listened to and that they had time for me, something that's been missing from health care in recent years. Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Wasim yesterday (last appointment with him). Had 1 tooth implant. Dr Wasim is an amazing Prosthodontics expert. He's extremely professional with a caring attitude towards his patients. His Nurse/Assistant Roya is a really lovely person, she really made feel comfortable, she's caring and very professional. I'm so happy I actually went into there to book my first appointment, this practice in my personal opinion is the best.

Fantastic experience: My 7 year old and I are both registered at this dentist. I am seeing Dr Sim who is wonderful but I have to say every dentist, nurse, hygienist we have encountered has also been amazing. They explain everything so well, put all concerns at ease whilst also being honest. They are friendly and even ask questions about your day. I could not recommend them enough, I have been highly impressed by the speediness of available appointments also. From someone who used to have a fear of the dentist I wouldn’t hesitate coming here now.

Dr Karisma Uppal is one of the best dentists I've ever seen and has always ensured my comfort comes first in our appointments, she comforted me while I was in the worst pain of my life as well as doing everything she could to fix the problem, I am so grateful for all of her help!

Fantastic experience: **Updated 2024** Just taken both of my children for another check up with Dr. Simrath and Nurse Roya and they were both fantastic with the kids! My Son has just turned 2 and is at that tricky age but Dr. Simrath was incredible with him and put him right at ease so that he could conduct a check up. He's got the patience of a saint with children. My daughter is 5 years old now and she's been seeing him since she was 6 months. He's always very kind, approachable and professional and we're so thankful we have him as their dentist! Nurse Roya is very kind and gentle with the children and has such a welcoming manner. We're very happy with all the care we receive here. **Updated 2023** Wanted to update my previous review as it has been a few years since I posted it. Since then I have had two children who are also patients at this clinic with Dr. Simrath Mangat and nurse Zara. I just wanted to say how fantastic they have been with my two kids, and I'm just so pleased that found this practice. My daughter who is 4 years has been seeing Dr. Mangat since 6 months and she is at ease and relaxed because he makes it so fun and engaging. If she could choose, she would love to go there every week! So when I had my son, I was absolutely thrilled that Dr. Mangat was able to take him on his books, so now they go together. I'm under Dr. Kalia, who is equally as lovely and very professional with his work. I always feel at ease and that I'm being taken very good care of. Nothing is too much trouble and he is very informative throughout your treatment. It is definitely the best practice in the area, everyone is super lovely and great with children - lovely environment all round. If you are able to, get on their books - you won't regret it! I see Veronika for my hygienist appointments and she is by far one of the best out there. She is the loveliest person and makes you feel very relaxed throughout. Her cleans are very thorough and really have made the world of difference with my teeth. I'm so happy with everything and wouldn't go anywhere else :) I went for an initial check up and assessment at Crook Log Dental Practice after moving to the area recently and I have to say how absolutely amazing my experience was! From the first phone call to join as a patient, to my check up with the lovely dentist and dental nurse, I couldn't be more impressed with the service. The receptionists were lovely and very helpful, even juggling various things at one time and the dentist was so friendly, explaining everything to me in detail and making me feel really welcome. It's very clear to see how this practice has such positive reviews - I cannot recommend enough! Thank you :)

Fantastic experience: Just had composite bonding carried out at Crook log dental practice by Dr Mangat. His service was exceptional from start to finish and my chipped tooth now looks PERFECT. He was very kind to fit me into an earlier appointment as well. All of the staff I encountered at this practice were really friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this place!! Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars I would!! My dentist is Rahul and his dental nurse Riya and I can not fault their service. Rahul makes me feel so comfortable and so at ease, I actually look forward to going to the dentist (well as much as you can do!) Rahul is so knowledgeable and explains every step to any procedure in a such a way that’s understandable for people with no dental knowledge like myself. I am so confident in the service I receive and know if I have any issue Rahul and Riya will be able to work together to fix it. He gives me great advice for how to improve my dental health which is always appreciated. Honestly the best dentist I have ever had. I have never had any issues with any treatment done by Rahul and know that I am in safe hands whenever I need to see him! I have had fillings, composite bonding, permanent retainers and aligners with him and all have been a great experience. Generally the staff at Crook Log are so welcoming and always so polite, I've always had a positive experience. I have recommended them to friends and family as it’s such a great dental practice. Thank you crook log team and especially Rahul for making what can be a dreaded experience, so positive.

Fantastic experience: I've had such a hard time with a tooth over a period of a year or 2. I recently went to see my dentist. Mr Parvaran I think. A young fella. He's so calm. He attempted 2 unsuccessful pulls but being infected the anaesthetic didnt work . I could of woken up the dead being uch an angry baby. Last time triggered an unfair review. With that though he had still kept to his word, referring in care of his patient. Unfortunately I'm not private but thinking about it. On my next visit may start a plan for the family of 5. Currently I'm in so much pain and reflecting. The NHS has been great tbf. Understanding about my current mental health issues. It's wiring at times. Thank you for your patience with me. Sorry for storming out of reception yesterday, I was so desperate. Thank you for urging Kings as urgent too with an extraction booked with sedation on Monday. I really appreciate that. I haven't met many who see through ones emotions to see the pain. Pure front end staff are very kind, understanding and professional. I cantvwait now. I Can't even brush teeth and barely soup so still in the process but roll on the date with the pliers on Monday. I've booked for a checkup tomorrow. Then hygienist. I know I'm not the first and prob not the last. But really Thank you again Crook Log Dental practice. I'd still recommend to anyone. I did my wife and now her parents, who say good things.

Fantastic experience: I've had such an outstanding experience with my Invisalign treatment here. It can be difficult to know how to narrow down the numerous dental practices that offer Invisalign in an area but I feel very lucky to have found Crook Log Dental Practice and Dr Mangat in particular. From the moment we first met, I was immediately put at ease by his personable nature and knew I would be in safe hands. Not only is he so friendly and patient but his professionalism is second to none. He's upfront and transparent and ensures that you are entirely comfortable at every point of the process. He takes pride in his work and holds it to the highest standards which means that I knew I'd be finishing the process completely satisfied. I have always felt comfortable reaching out with any queries and they've always been taken into consideration. I also have to shout out Zara, the dental nurse, who has been through the process herself and was always more than happy to answer any questions I had from the patient side of the process. She is a super friendly person and I always left the room with a smile after an appointment with Zara and Dr Mangat. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone, and would send any family/ friends Dr Mangat's way.

Fantastic experience: Always a helpful and friendly practice that I have had the pleasure in visiting for a number of years now. They offer a number of treatments, if you need fillings, or even worse, but help you decide on the best option, using x-rays on a screen to show the exact treatment area. I have seen the same dentist the whole time I have been a patient, and he has been so understanding of my various problems, including avoiding the dreaded injection! I am also disabled, and he has helped me into his practice room and carried my bag as well. The nurses are all very friendly, as well as the receptionists and everyone has been understanding. They even have a small parking area, but it is on a number of bus routes and a short walk (for an able bodied person) from a mainline railway station. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Crook Log gave me and emergency appointment after an injury left my front tooth broken, with unbearable toothache. Dr Kajal Tutt was such a lifesaver, she referred me to a root canal specialist and provided a temporary fix for the pain, essentially starting the root canal work there and then. Thanks so much!

Positive experience: I feel safe when with the implantologist as he knows what he’s doing. I knew about the procedure, getting an implant & having stitches but I didn’t know that my mouth had to be drilled as it wasn’t mentioned on the form nor was I told about it so I wasn't happy about the drilling. I was prescribed antibiotics to take which gave me a side effect.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Chawich here for a repair to a loose crown on a 20yr old implant. I can't praise him highly enough. That's partly technically - for the painstaking scrutiny of x-rays, and very skillful technique. But also his clarity of explanation, at every stage, and his calm and confident manner. This was very reassuring. If I have any future issues, or require a further implant placing, I won't hesitate to contact him.

Fantastic experience: On Friday evening, my sister experienced an incident resulting in trauma and blunt force to her front teeth. For any young woman, this is incredibly distressing to see missing or broken teeth. The thought of needing dentures at just 22 is daunting. I called Crook Log Dental Practice for an emergency appointment, and they scheduled us in immediately for Saturday. The dentist assessed the situation promptly, providing temporary solutions and discussing future options. We returned later for further treatment. Dr. Khan's swift action and reassurance have given my sister hope and gratitude. Thank you, Dr. Khan.

Fantastic experience: Knowing that I was nervous today, both Dr Mangat and Nurse Zara worked hard to alleviate my fears. They worked slowly and methodically, constantly checking I was ok and that I was able to continue with treatment throughout my appointment. I had been scared but the treatment was painless and I had nothing to worry about. Both were very kind and patient. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Have seen both Dr Uppal and Dr Turner with my children. Both of them took the time to get to know the children and make them feel at ease. Have been able to book appointments in relatively quickly. Front of house staff are friendly and professional - in person and over the phone - and were helpful and quick to sort my appointments. Would definitely recommend.
