Fantastic experience: You can certainly differentiate this dental practice from the mainstream obvious commoditised overtly consumerist dental health practices that exist elsewhere. Patient awareness is key given the first impression one receives as soon as you meet the receptionists. This positive front of house experaince continued when meeting the dentist and dental nurse assistant. As for the dentist, well a filling is a filling, so what made this a 5 star rating? The genuine listening commitment they delivered whilst offering the best quality dental health procedures and follow up advise.

Fantastic experience: I’ve now had several treatments with Dr. Naveen at this practice, after moving from a long-term dental clinic where I had some very poor experiences. I’m so glad I made the switch—Dr. Naveen is everything I could have hoped for in a dentist: kind, highly skilled, and truly professional. He made me feel like a person, not just a name on the schedule and also explained precisely what he was doing which is rare at any dental practice I've been to. The supporting staff, including reception, have also been fantastic—warm, welcoming, and efficient. I recently had a hygienist check-up as well, and the student staff members was excellent. I will absolutely continue using their services in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to anyone looking for top-quality dental care. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: As far as dentists go (no one likes going to them lol) these guys are great. Had some really bad experiences with dentists over the years but none with these so far and I've been with them for a few years now. Receptionists very helpful and friendly, dentists with plenty of patience for gaggy wimps like me and very informative in a spotless surgery. I've had a fair bit of treatment here and in the old surgery down the road and can't really fault them. I'm a lover of good service ethics and these seem to come up with the goods when you need em. I had been in a lot of pain and had already visited other dental surgeries without much relief. I came to North Hill for a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did. Dr. Faghani quickly identified the issue causing my discomfort, resolved it efficiently, and took the time to clearly explain my treatment options moving forward. What stood out to me the most was how respectfully and attentively I was treated as an NHS patient—far better than my previous private experience elsewhere. Fantastic experience: All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hygienist is very good and explains everything very clearly. The surgery itself is very clean, light and spacious - but I think accessibility will be a significant problem for anyone with a physical disability.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Amin was very personable and had a very polite, reassuring approach. His explanation of my dental health was thorough and clear and the advice was excellent, well explained and informative.

Negative experience: Avoid this dentist they have left my daughter suffering for nearly 3 years due to them being unable to do their jobs. My daughter was referred to the community dentist to have teeth removed and they failed to complete mandatory information and referral was sent back asking for the information in which this dentist never completed nor did they send the referral back this was in June 2022. I have repeatedly asked over the last few years about her referral and was told she is on a waiting list. I called the community dentist myself to see how much longer my child has to wait to find out they never returned the referral with the information and now my daughter has to go back on a long waiting list. My daughter has a serious illness and has no immune system and is left fighting reoccurring infections. Today I took her back to get MORE antibiotics and they gave me a unstamped prescription which we cannot get as its no stamp. We was also told the manager would call me now the dentist is shut and still no call. If you value your health choose a more suitable dentist

They seem to consider each person individually and take extra precautions. The clinic is spotless. My front teeth look perfect after a clever type of filling rebuilt my tooth. The reception care is exceptional. All members from admin to medical seem to work together as a team seamlessly. Going to the dentist is no longer something my wife fears and at 68 and 70 years of age it's wonderful to feel well cared for! Thank you ALL! You've made a world of difference.

Fantastic experience: Kept informed by reception, and fitted me in for an extra hygiene appointment within the hour after my pre arranged dental appointment. So that was very welcomed and a bonus. All staff helpful kind and patient, they made me feel comfortable and assured.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed Invisalign treatment with Dr Kavi at North Hill dental and could not be happier. At the beginning of 2024 I visited a few clinics but Kavi was the clear front runner with how knowledgeable, approachable and friendly he is. Kavi made sure I was comfortable and happy every step of the way which is a big reason I managed to stick consistently to the plan for 8 months. We finished the treatment with whitening and composite bonding and I am mind blown at the results. A huge thing I appreciated during this whole process was never feeling under any pressure to commit or spend more than I wanted to. I was simply given a professional opinion and guidance, and allowed to make decisions in my own time. Could not fault the service, thanks a lot!

Negative experience: Not flexible approach towards appointment time- I have an appointment for my 5-year-old child, but I'm running late by 15 minutes due to difficulties finding parking. I also need to pick up my child from school, and the delay is causing issues with the appointment. I understand the challenge from their side, but I need permission from the school to allow my child to leave early. I've already paid for two hours of parking, but it takes 15 minutes to walk from the parking spot. All these complications are making me very frustrated. The receptionist mentioned that the appointment is only 10 minutes long, so I don’t understand why they can't accommodate us today. As I explained, I'm here and have paid for two hours. I completely understand if this were for an adult, but since it’s for a 5-year-old, I don't want to go through all these steps again."

So when I was recently in pain, I had no hesitation & made an appointment at North Hill, I saw Jade & Anju I was very much impressed with their treatment, Jade explained everything & although I wasn’t scared, I still felt a little nervous. Positive experience: I had a great experience with doctor. However, when my appointment got cancelled and I called to re-book it the receptionist was quite rude, constantly talked over me with raised tone of voice. I don't think this type of behaviour is acceptable.

Negative experience: Encouraging people to see the dentist 6 monthly is to me a pure rip off unless you have bad orial heath. After visiting asking you if you want to pay for the next 6 monthly visit in advanced. I have lived in Colchester around 10 year and I have used this dentist for around 3 years and and been been twice. Strange all previous dentist I have used recommended 12 mouths to 18 mouth.

Fantastic experience: The staff are the most professional, efficient and pleasant people I've ever encountered at a dentist office. On two separate occasions, they have gone over and above to make sure I was well taken care off and always so kind and caring. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this practice at the Layer Road Branch for many years and have always been treated with kindness and care. Recently I have had to make a few more frequent trips for treatment. Suzanne, the receptionist is always so friendly and helpful, both over the phone and in the practice itself. During Covid times she has been so professional in how she has carried our procedures to make everyone feel safe. My dentist Zoe is always reassuring and thorough. Both she and her assistants sensitively put me at ease, whilst explaining the best possible treatment and what needs to be done. It hasn't been an easy time for them which makes their pleasant demeanour even more impressive!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist, always so helpful, I recently had awful toothache suddenly appear over a weekend called up on Monday and the wonderful reception Suzanne was able to get me a emergency appointment in afternoon and dentist went above and beyond to get me sorted at short notice. Receptionist Suzanne always so lovely and uses your first name which I find very comforting, always polite and helpful. Never had problem with this dentist always helpful to get appointments for all family, dentists always fantastic with children. Great place

I registered with this surgery following a really positive experience my partner had with them and was very pleasantly surprised by the experience and quality of service. The dentist I saw was great; understanding about my nervousness and gentle whilst examining my teeth. I'd definitely recommend these guys and will be going back for regular check ups.
