Negative experience: Leah sears that’s the dentist that I got an am not happy with the experience The dentist was not gentle at all during the procedure and made me feel like I was wasting her time for even coming in to get my teeth treated. On top of that, the anesthetic left one side of my face and nose completely numb, to the point where I couldn’t breathe properly through one nostril — and no explanation or reassurance was given. I left the clinic feeling worse than when I arrived, both physically and emotionally. I understand dental work isn’t always pleasant, but a basic level of care, patience, and respect should be expected — and unfortunately, I didn’t receive that here. I absolutely hate it she did not make me feel at ease an am someone that suffer from anxiety this was just horrible I hated it

Fantastic experience: Been attending Trinity Terrace (Derby City Dental Care ) for over 45 years and in that time I’ve had 3 good dentists - the first, second and the current one Sahle Karanath . I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise in dentistry. He is a great asset to DCDC and needs to be retained.

The skill used to rebuild my tooth is staggering. I could not have been in better hands. Great professionalism and quality of care.

Negative experience: I Have to put this review as I would like people to be aware of how appalling I have been treated at this dental practice as a (NHS) Patient. The most important thing is during my appointments and (so called) check ups my dentist has failed to diagnose that all of my front teeth (top and bottom) have decayed to the point that they are crumbling away. My front upper tooth has now crumble in half and I am sure all the rest will follow. They have also failed to diagnose and treat gum disease. And because of this I think most of my teeth have now been affected. I missed my last appointment as I had to have an Ugent MRI scan on my cervical spine as my consultant feared my spinal cord may be getting damaged. Within minutes of me missing that appointment I was sent a text message saying I had missed 2 appointments and they would no longer see me as a NHS patient. The last appointment I did not attend I phoned the practice and explained why I could not attend, and was assured that it would not be classed as not attended because I rang the practice. I have no choice now but to get a solicitor involved because of the severe negl

Fantastic experience: Prior to my 1st visit to Derby City Dental Care I was very anxious to say the least, however I can not believe how relaxed I became within minutes of sitting in the dreaded chair. So when my next appointment day arrived there were no nerves whatsoever. And all the staff are very polite, helpful and most importantly friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone especially thoughs who like me had the fear of the dentist.

And He Sent Me The Hospital To Take X-ray Scan And Come Back And He Will Make Me Filling With Natural Colour As My Teeth Are.. But, When I Came From Hospital He Said That I Have to Pay For the Filling If I Want Natural Colour .. And Also He Said That He Will Sent Me To The Specialist To Take Out My Broken Tooth Out . He Said That He Will Contact Me Within 2 Weeks , But Nobody Called Me Yet ..

Negative experience: For clarity, I have a disability which affects my memory. I have difficulty managing time and appointments. This dentist's promised to send a reminder text and did not do so. They refused to offer me another appointment. Telephone number on their website doesn't even work. Receptionist was unapologetic on the phone line, insisted that her employer HAD sent out reminder texts when in reality they had not. I was told that it was 'NHS procedure' that I no longer be offered appointments due to me missing a single appointment thanks to my disability. Lady raised her voice on the phone at me saying 'It's the same for everyone it's not discriminatory!' What a joke!

Fantastic experience: Had a great first treatment with Sahle today, he's a lovely dentist that explains everything to you and puts you at ease, so pleased to be on his nhs list and appreciate his treatment that l am impressed with. Thank you!

Negative experience: The Dentist was friendly enough as was the Reception. My argument is with their charges. £49.99 consultation & Xray, accepted. Reception explains an additional £40 required before even seeing the Dentist as a treatment placeholder. If no treatment, then it will be refunded. (This is the scam part), you won't see the £40 again. Treatment or no Treatment. I was given a prescription by the dentist for Antibiotics. Asked the receptionist to refund me my £40 as no treatment was given, her response.. The £40 is for the prescription. Paid prescriptions should include the medication. Not here. I also had to pay for the medication at the Pharmacy. Disappointing how they insult your intelligence with these stupid money grabbing scams.

Negative experience: I didn’t like my experience there, I was asked to choose which treatment I would like to go for without explaining what each meant and that was supposed to be a consultation which I paid for; she asked if I would like a root canal or an extraction without telling me the details or which would be beneficial or appropriate at the time.

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient and dislike going to the dentist. I registered with derby city dental care and my dentist Deepa has been amazing. She tells me all my options and makes me feel very comfortable. My dental nurse Debbie was also amazing, chatting to me so I felt relaxed. If your a nervous patient I would definitely recommend derby city dental care. The receptionist are also very polite and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Deepa was such a lovely lady, she was extremely patient with me. Having been with the practice for 56 years and needing a good new lower denture, I was very upset with the previous one made. I was very nervous and tearful that my previous experience was going to be repeated. Deepa showed me her experience was truly remarkable. She was so professional, kind and today given me the biggest smile I have had in years. All the years of discomfort pain and tears have completely gone. Thank you Deepa for bringing my smile back, and my faith in dentists.

Negative experience: Used to be one of the best dental practices around especially when Mr Loughton had it now by far one of the worst let me explain all there bothered about is your money referrer you somewhere else even when you explain your in pain when work is needed referrer you to the hospital for an xray come back with that and still do nothing avoid avoid avoid

Fantastic experience: The wait time wasn't long I would say we only waited for 10 mins max which was amazing as I struggle with my 4 children being patient so I'm very impressed with this dental surgery for how organised and prompt the surgery works. Fantastic experience: Excellent dental practice. Of half a dozen I’ve rang this is the only dental practice accepting new NHS patients and have seen me within two weeks from registration. Had an initial checkup by Adette who was fabulous, with a good sense of humour that puts you at ease. Further appointment booked in couple of weeks time. Genuinely impressed with the service and care.

Negative experience: I have been with this dental clinic for what must be over 25 - 30 years with out missing a single appointment. Over the last couple of years i have missed 2 but with good reason the first waking up full of a cold and with recent covid pandemic, being a nurse I did the responsible thing and called and cancelled my appointment. On Friday 11/10/24 i was late so called them to say i would be late, but on my way, they replied with “yes you have missed it so we have took you of our patient list” I said about the above and asked them if i wake full of a cold am I then expected to come in regardless and pass on my germs to the dentist and others waiting in their waiting rooms. They could not reply fully and intimated that i should have. I asked them to re consider their decision due to the above, that I have been a patient with them for the last 25-30 years and only just missed these last two. I then receive a text to say that I have been took of the list. My family, wife and two children also patients at this clinic. My daughter has been removed as well. I think this is disgraceful and uncaring and will be taking this further. Enclosed is the Text message that I got to say I would not be put back on the list? it also shows the previous to say I have missed my 1st appointment. I am not going to say any more about their practice on this forum. I am not a person that leaves negative reviews, you can look at my history, I always give praise when people or companies do well. Sadly I can’t in this case. I also think it shows volumes in the fact they can leave a response to the 5star reviews and not respond to less favourable ones it shows their not willing to learn from incidents or feedback which is a makes the management dangerous and poorly lead practice

Fantastic experience: We were told my daughter needed a emergency appointment, I rang but it was late in the day they said if something came up they'd call but if not ring at 8.45am next day, so I did and there was nothing at that time but an hour later we got a call and was in at 11.20am. Saw a gent who made my daughter feel better about her problem and have a 2 week ahead appointment to return. The staff were friendly and helpful, been at this practice since a child. Always happy with the service.
