Fantastic experience: I’m very nervous with dentists, but my experience with the dental group, and the treatment and care was outstanding even the after care is amazing, I have no more sleepless nights before. Would highly recommend. I cannot praise each and everyone that works there up enough, they are so friendly and helpful and professional. On the 19/03/25 I had a check up and was suffering from toothache and was advised by the dentist I needed a tooth extracted, and on the 20/03/25 I had it removed, it was a pain free extraction, and they made me feel so relaxed and at ease, all my fears of the dentist have gone now, thanks to the way they treat you and and actually care about you. 16/07/25 Hygienist, Always a great experience, very friendly, very helpful and they actually care.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the dental group for a hygienist and teeth whitening appointment and I couldn’t recommend them enough! They provided excellent service throughout my treatment and all of the staff were so friendly. My dental nurse was Maria who went above and beyond to ensure all my queries were answered as well as Naz (the dental hygienist) who completed my scale and polish to such a high standard- I couldn’t be more impressed. Both Jess and Giselle at the reception desk were so welcoming and professional in their role, ensuring I had been provided with the best experience possible. Negative experience: I received treatment here, but the issue with my teeth was not properly resolved. I experienced ongoing discomfort and eventually had to seek correction elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: After developing an abcess on my gum above a molar I was dreading the root canal work required on that tooth. I need not have worried, Anna did a superb job. Yes, it was uncomfortable but never painful. A piece of tooth broke off due to a hairline crack, the cause of the abcess. Anna once again did a superb job in repairing the tooth after sorting the infection. A big thank you to her and her nurse.

Fantastic experience: **High quality dentists who I would recommend to everyone** I had an excellent experience receiving an emergency crown and root canal treatment in March 2025. I visited on a Monday morning and Maria checked the treatment I needed in between her other appointments. Dr Jeff O'Carroll then decided to come in on his day off (Wednesday morning) and spent 4.5 hours completing the treatment for me. The crown is excellently crafted and looks just like my other teeth in terms of the shape and colour. Dr Jeff ensured I didn't feel any pain during the surgery by applying the right level of local anaesthetic. The post treatment pain subsided within 24 hours of leaving the surgery. I have been registered with the Dental Group for about 2 years and they always provide an excellent service whether it's my annual check up, hygienist visits or this more in depth procedure.

Fantastic experience: I have been using The Dental Group for about 10 years. They have always given excellent service. I appreciate the fact that it is a long standing family run business. I have had orthodontic treatment as well as regular dental checks, occasional fillings and the services of the hygienist. All have been excellent.Im currently having an intensive series of treatments with the hygienist. She and all the staff were very accommodating of the fact that I am a wheelchair user. They were very patient and kind concerning my painful transfer to the dental chair. I would highly recommend The Dental Group!

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service- thank you. I needed an emergency appointment due to severe tooth ache and was able seen at 11am the same day. Dental nurse and dentist were great - quickly establishing I needed root canal treatment and booked me in for the following afternoon. Later that day the pain became increasingly worse. When asking if there was anything they could do to help they offered me an earlier appointment (outside of usual hours) that evening to start the treatment and alleviate the pain - above and beyond customer service! The procedure itself was pain-free and over within 1.5hrs. I’m now waiting for the 2nd appointment in a couple weeks.

Fantastic experience: As a very nervous patient, I attend the dental group for a extraction of a tooth, when I arrived at the practice I was welcomed by the receptionist gisselle I mentioned to her I was very nervous and she reassured me that it will be fine, whilst waiting in the waiting area I was greeted by a dental nurse called lian who also reassured me as she could see I was nervous, when I entered the surgery I was greeted by dr Jeff ocarroll who talked me through the procedure and also my treatment which is needed after the extraction, Jeff made this experience painless stress free I would highly recommend this practice and will not go anywhere else now thank you Jeff,gisselle,lian for your amazing service

Fantastic experience: Following recommendation from 2 close friends I went for a free consultation with Dr. Jeff O’Connell as my front bridge of 30 years was broken and in danger of falling out. I was extremely worried that my weak dental bone structure would mean that my only option would be a denture. However, Dr. Jeff gave me the confidence that a new bridge was definitely possible. So, following an extensive treatment plan, 4 months later (I had a few planned trips in the summer), I now have a new smile! It includes a new front bridge (5 teeth) and 2 new crowns. I also needed root canal treatment. All the staff I have seen have been very explanatory and caring, including the dental nurses. I didn’t feel worried at any stage of my treatment. It has definitely been an excellent team effort led by Dr. Jeff. Giselle and Jess are a very welcoming reception team, keeping me informed if it was necessary to make any changes to appointment times. I would highly recommend The Dental Group to family and friends. The quality of my new bridge has left me feeling very confident as it feels very stable and comfortable. Fantastic experience: Another amazing visit to the Dental Group. Recently had my composite break off so decided to pop in this morning to explain the situation and see if an appointment could be made. Negative experience: Generally a nice environment, with a kind and competent dentist. The 2 stars is just because I only booked for a check up for £74, but was given an x-ray as well but the nurse. She checked I was happy to have an x-ray done but didn't tell me it's not included in the check up and costs extra. Only afterwards was I shown a bill that included £40 extra for the x-ray (which is a lot. And which I didn't need) I wouldn't have got it done if I'd known. I paid the extra. Obviously not hint of consideration for any kind of compensation or discount. But the most frustrating thing was that when I tried to feed back 'before you offer people additional treatments that they haven't booked, you should tell them it'll cost extra and get their consent. It's just good practice' nobody ever said 'fair point' they just jumped on an extended defensive about how their prices were available to me in advance, about how an x-ray is always part of a check up (in which case don't make it an optional extra) etc. Doesn't make it feel like a patient-comes-first culture. More of a 'get as much £ as we can and just cover our backs' culture. To be fair - the actual treatment is 5 star. Would've given more stars if they'd just been able to hear the simple feedback. When you initially called to inquire about booking, you spoke to me (Giselle O'Carroll) I am the Practice Manager. I provided a detailed breakdown of our fees, including the £74 for a new patient examination, the possibility that x-rays may be required as part of the examination, and that x-rays cost £19 each. Upon reviewing the call recording, I confirmed that this information was communicated to you during our phone call conversation. When you came in for the appointment I offered to play the recording for you to clarify any misunderstandings, which you declined.
On the day of your appointment, before the x-rays were taken, our nurse ensured she had your consent to proceed. We understand that you may not have recalled the fee associated with x-rays at the time, and we regret that this led to any confusion. However, our intention is always to prioritize patient care and ensure necessary diagnostic tools, such as x-rays, are used to deliver the best possible treatment.
We value your suggestion that patients should be reminded of any associated costs during appointments when additional procedures are discussed, which we already do. Thank you for pointing this out and we will continue to do this. Your feedback is helpful, and we’ll use it to further improve our patient communication process.
Finally, we want to emphasize that our practice is committed to providing high-quality care in a transparent and ethical manner. When I was told that I would need a crown as my tooth was cracked, I feared the worst. A decade ago, I had the experience of a tooth canal and didn't want to go through that again. Fantastic experience: My Dad had moved to the area and needed a dentist as he was in a lot of discomfort. All the staff are very freindly and welcoming and made my Dad feel at ease they got right to the root (excuse the pun)of the problem and Dad felt so much better .I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I have been with the dental group for a few years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have been especially great with my young daughter who is undergoing some pretty major orthodontic treatment. Jeff always takes the time to explain different options thoroughly and all the dentists/nurses go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible.
