Negative experience: My appointment has been cancelled for the third time in a row, two of which were last minute. The male receptionist I spoke to clearly had absolutely no interest whatsoever in customer service. Highly recommend going elsewhere

Positive experience: Clean environment and friendly reception staff. However; having an appointment at 4pm and the dentist running 45mins late is not good enough I’m afraid. No offer to reschedule or to see another dentist. Or even an apology for that matter. Polite reminder that customer service is important !

Fantastic experience: Phoned Smilemakers in agony, they didn’t have any appointments left but the receptionist said to leave it with her & within 10 mins I was on my way to be seen by Saadiq & Ashley - an absolute exceptional team & @ such short notice, they really put themselves out to help me as I need a downstairs room & they came down for me. I was given antibiotics for an abscess & a follow up appointment back with my regular dentist. I would definitely recommend SMILEMAKERS!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place, Saadiq and Ashley made me at ease as Iam a nervous patient around the dentist due to bad experience when I was younger. From start to finish seediq explained everything he was going to do. The whole experience from start to finish was very comfortable and a fantastic job they have done. I now have my life back and can smile all day long, and have photos taken with my New pearly whites. (teeth). Also look at people when I talk. They have changed my life for the better and I'm really happy with the results. Also the girls on the reception are Fantastic to, made me feel welcome. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️

They are always so friendly and helpful and always welcome everyone to the Smile Makers practise with a warm smile and a friendly welcoming to everyone who walks in for their appointments. I have often had to ring up and make appointments or cancel and re arrange our appointments with our dentist and all three of them go above and beyond to help me. I am pretty sure they do this with all the clients so huge well done and keep up the great work you are doing being the front of house as it were which makes the whole smilemakers experience a great one! Fantastic experience: Just had my two upper wisdom teeth removed with Tom was so nervous but instantly relaxed when getting in the chair. In and out in around 10 minutes, completely pain free, only opted for local anaesthetic. If I had to do it all again I would. Actually blown away with how easy it went. Thank you so much!

The hygienist provided clear instructions at every step and consistently ensured my comfort and well-being. I have had some horrible experiences in the past so today going in to smilemakers on Hamble lane i was very anxious but Saadiq and Morgan made me very comfortable and friendly explained what they were going to do and made me feel at ease. Fantastic experience: Saadiq and Morgan were absolutely incredible at my appointment. I had to have a tooth removed, 2 fillings and gum treatment,i was so scared of going to the dentist but Saadiq and Morgan made me feel so comfortable and talked me through what was happening and gave me encouragement throughout. Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I have been to. I have a severe needle phobia and bad experiences in the past with dentists made me nervous. Nikos and he's assistant was amazing telling me what they were doing each step of the way and have the patience of a saint. Bernice was fabulous at giving me the information and reassurance inbetween appointments. I finally have my smile back after an accident broke my tooth in half, thank you smile makers!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at smile makers for 4 years after many years at a good nhs dentist which retired,leaving me needing a new dentist and so had to go private after reading reviews Jason is my dentist and he’s excellent attentive and reassuring and always friendly I’ve been for Wisdom teeth extractions and fillings and minor repairs as of recently 5 star dentist and practice and truthful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had to have an awkward filling replaced as it had broken and he finished the new one before I knew it. Professional and caring. Thank you Nikos. Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot fault this dental practice. The first day my husband and I signed up the service has been flawless. The reception team were super polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The practice is well organised, modern, clean and there was plenty of parking directly outside. I came to use this practice as I had heard great reviews from friends and have not been disappointed. I was seen very quickly as I had an infection and the whole process was fast and smooth. Thank you again and please don’t change in any way!!!

Positive experience: First of all I want to say that Dr Hamidi was fantastic. I've known I needed a filling repair for upwards of 4 years but due to previous trauma at the dentist and constant last-minute cancellations/horrendous wait times for my special care dentist, I've been putting it off. Dr Hamidi was so kind and reassuring on my first consultation. Going in for the filling, he was very quick and efficient, getting the injection in within a minute of me sitting down. He also suggested I wear headphones with loud music, which was a massive help in blocking out the noise of the drill. Filling was fixed in less than 10 minutes and completely painless apart from the cold air and water on my sensitive teeth. The receptionists are helpful, but they haven't acknowledged my arrival in all 3 of my visits - I felt like they hadn't noticed me come in. I was also mistakenly listed as a private patient upon registering, even though I am an NHS patient, so unknowingly had a private consultation and was surprised by the cost. However after the practice manager reviewed my sign up form and saw that I had clearly ticked the NHS box, she did refund the payment on to my account and allow a free repeat consultation. An honest mistake which was resolved fairly quickly so I am willing to forgive this. Reception could use some lessons in customer service but I'm generally really happy with my treatment and will definitely go back to Dr Hamidi.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for tooth extraction same day emergency appointment through the 247 dentist Couldn't wait till Friday at my regular dentist as it was too painful Sure a little more expensive but worth it The team was ace also.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling service and will never return. Paid over £160.00 to be told by 2 separate dentist I need a root canal but neither of them actually did anything to fix the massive hole in my tooth. Receptionist team is barley a team and interrupt each other when you're talking to them and repeat "I'm so sorry" without offering anything to make the situation better.

Negative experience: Dental nurse named Sylvia avoid at all costs, the most patronising & condescending person I've experienced. Literally had to walk out!! Then she said well nobody has had a problem with me before so.. Great customer care NOT!!!

Negative experience: My daughter had a dental appointment. Due to traffic and road works we ended up being 5 minutes late. I had tried calling constantly for 20 minutes before hand to explain the situation but no one answered the phone. Eventually as I got to the car park (5 minutes late) the reception finally answered. I was told they wouldn’t see her even though we were in the car park. My daughter was already nervous about the dentist and having rushed from school trying to reassure her to be then told she won’t be seen is just a bit ridiculous. I fully appreciate time pressures and that a service needs to function but especially when it’s a child, to have absolutely not a care or any understanding really shows how this practice values its patients, which clearly is not at all.

Fantastic experience: After my dental bridge came out, I called up and was able to get an appointment the same day. The entire team were incredibly welcoming, including the reception staff. I informed my dentist, Edward Hook, that I was a nervous patient and he went out of his way to make me feel at ease, talking me through the process. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be signing up as a regular patient.

Fantastic experience: So impressed with this practice, in particularly, Jason who saw my young teenage son with a very swollen face/mouth and horrendous ulcers making him unable to eat. GP’s unable to help and yet Jason spotted a serious health concern, fast tracked him to hospital where he had a biopsy within a week and was able to get a diagnosis and a treatment plan started in no time. Highly recommend this dentist, very grateful.

Fantastic experience: I had to leave a review to say how wonderful Emily and Roxanne are on every visit. They are both incredibly patient and supportive when I am anxious and put me at ease. I am sincerely grateful for their kindness each visit. The dental work and professionalism has been amazing. And the front desk staff are also lovely!

Fantastic experience: Wish to say thank you to Dr Paschali, Nurse Jade and Treatment Co-ordinator Natalie for their support with my complex orthodontic case. I felt encouraged to book a consultation with Dr Paschali after seeing the previous work she had done. I had a positive consultation experience with Dr Paschali who was kind and understanding of my dental situation. Though I was not suitable for treatment, if I had been I would have felt comfortable and safe. It means a lot to meet someone who is as compassionate as Dr Paschali is and I thank her very much for her time and help. If you are considering treatment, I would highly recommend booking a consultation to see if you may be suitable. I travelled a distance to visit and on arrival was met with a friendly and welcoming service from the Smilemakers team. Thank you

Fantastic experience: My partner had a bad tooth that needed to come out, the pain was unbearable. We went to a walk in dentist they gave her antibiotics, said the tooth needed to come out, but wouldn’t take it out. We then made an appointment with smilemakers, we had an appointment the same day (within a few hours), and the tooth got taken out. Both staff was absolutely lovely and so caring. It made my partner feel more relaxed, and the tooth came out no problem. This is the second time using smilemakers, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dodgy dentists over the years and had some terrible treatments, so going to the dentist has never been something I have particularly enjoyed. However, going to Smilemakers is always a pleasure. Dr Hook listens to me and takes into consideration the fact that I am nervous and I can’t stand being there and helps me to relax and explains treatments every step of the way. Communication is key and that’s the reason I don’t mind going to the dentist at Smilemakers. The cost can be off putting, but you really do get what you pay for, especially when it comes to dental health.

Fantastic experience: Had a hygienist appointment with Lucy using the new GBT treatment, I have suffered with gum problems for many years so have regularly hygienists appointments but I have to say this was far my best experience yet, so thank you Lucy the treatment was less invasive and as an added bonus it also removed staining to the teeth do come out with whiter teeth. Would thoroughly recommend Lucy

Fantastic experience: Dr Noordin and Nurse Estella put me at ease and despite my nerves I had a very positive experience. The practice staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Negative experience: My husband Winston Giles was very satisfied with his treatment which commenced in January but very disappointed and surprised when asked for another £400/200 to complete the treatment when he was told upfront the total cost would be £685. We have the paperwork to confirm that amount. Perhaps someone can look into this

Fantastic experience: I am a terrible patient and I am particularly apprehensive about visits to the hygienist but this morning I was treated by Lucy Bevan who was brilliant!! Very gentle and kind and my teeth feel lovely and clean and bright. All the staff at smile makers are lovely but Lucy was particularly outstanding. Thank you everyone. You all do an amazing job.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist. Booking is easy and the dentist we saw was terrific. Very good with my son, who is autistic. He took time to explain what he was going to do and was very gentle and reassuring.

Fantastic experience: Mr Hook has done amazing job with reattaching a chipped veneer. You can hardly tell that it had chipped off. Due to the amazing job he has done, has resulted in me changing my dentist as well as my family to smile makers. The practice could not improve on my experience, I was quite upset as result of my chipped veneer and Mr Hook and his dentist nurse were very patient with me. When I phoned up to book an appointment, they gave me an appointment that day, as my normal dentist would not see me. On phoning up I was again quite upset and reception staff were very kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I don't like going to the dentist, who dose! That being said, if i am going to go this is the only place i would go. They are friendly, kind, gentile (as they can). The receptionists are friendly and smiling. The waiting room is comfy and the dentists chairs are even comfier. The whole place is clean but some how not to clinical. Defiantly 5*s

Fantastic experience: After moving to Southampton it took me a while to find an NHS dentist. I am so happy that I managed to sign up with Smilemakers who had just taken on a new dentist, Mr. Wang. The practice treats you so well and the dentist actually listens to you - something my previous dentist never did. I am looking forward to completing my treatments with Smilemakers.

Fantastic experience: Jason is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He put my daughter at ease immediately, he is kind and explains each step to both me and her. We are very happy with the treatment she received, it eased her pain and has helped dramatically. We are also very happy with the front of house reception team, from initial phone call- the lady was helpful and informative and able to get us a last minute emergency appointment. Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentist. All the staff are wonderful especially Racheal, the new hygienist. I’ve never experienced such a gentle procedure. Dr Hook is my dentist and vary caring as is Melina, who did my brace work. I even had a comment from someone I hadn’t met before who said I had lovely teeth! Not bad for a 50 something!

Fantastic experience: Dr Elyas Yonis is actually amazing! He has transformed my smile which has transformed my life! I have gone from covering my mouth when speaking, not smiling in photos & feeling embarrassed about my teeth to somebody that cannot stop smiling like a Cheshire cat! I highly recommend Smilemakers & Dr Elyas Yonis in particular who went above and beyond to transform my smile!

Fantastic experience: I have had braces twice, once as a teenager for 4 years and once as an adult for 1 year and on both occasions the complex orthodontic issues with my teeth were not resolved. I then came to see Melina at smilemakers after seeing the results of some of her cases, and I decided to talk to her about my teeth and see if there was anything that she could do to correct my bite. Fast forward a few months of invisalign and I could not be happier with the outcome of the treatment I've had with Melina. She is a professional, very knowledgeable, very reassuring and made me feel at ease throughout the process. I can finally bite down now on my back teeth and chew my food whereas previously I had posterior open bites and only my front teeth were meeting, which made eating very difficult and uncomfortable. My teeth are also nice and straight now too! Thank you very much Melina, and also a thank you to Jade who has worked just as hard by assisting during the appointments.

Fantastic experience: Just went in for an emergency extraction. I can't remember the guys name but he was was amazing. To the point that I cried because he'd sorted out my painful tooth. The dental nurse was wonderful to and they could clearly see I was extremely nervous about the whole ordeal. Fantastic experience: I’ve just had the best dental experience of my life I’m now 53 so that’s a lot !! I wanted new Vaneers I went to Tom darling for advice as I had old Vaneers and not great teeth the result after 2 Long appointments that were absolutely pain free and definitely alot nicer experience than I could have ever imagined. Fantastic experience: I found this dental practice some months ago when I moved to Southampton, after rigorously researching online and trying to find a private dentist practice that is good at what they do, yet reasonably priced (many in the area will ask you to donate a kidney for even a 30 min hygenist appointment). I have had overall a good experience here, especially with the hygenist Hassan who works here, who has been amazing. Every visit he is welcoming, friendly, yet professional & knowledgeable, and goes the extra length to explain your gum and teeth health in detail. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from Dr Belarbi. I had a previous filling that fell out, he was able to see me the next day and scheduled In a replacement very quickly. A few weeks later the filling feels great.

Fantastic experience: Review from Wendy Foreman who had the treatment. For at least 3/4 years I have needed a root extraction as I lost a crown and had insufficient tooth to repair. I put this off as I had never had a tooth out at the dentist the last time was under general anaesthetic at hospital many many years ago. My first visit to Elyas Yonis (having been requested to move to another dentist in the practice) was for a check up and we discussed the root extraction. Mr Yonis took an x-ray and showed me the root of the tooth and the surrounding roots. I then decided to book for the extraction dragging my husband along for morale support although he sat in the car! Mr Yonis was superb talking me through the process throughout the procedure. After several injections to numb the area he proceeded with the extraction and before I knew it the root was out without the need for any pulling or cutting of the gum! I cannot recommend Elyas Yonis enough he certainly put me at ease with his calming manner. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hook and Jasmine were amazing when I visited back in November. I had a tooth out and was very nervous. They explained every step and made me feel calm, whilst also not making me feel stupid for feeling very anxious. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: After having orthodontist treatment at Smilemakers privately, I loved them so much I moved here for regular dental check ups and treatment as they're so great. All the dentists are great and I also really recommend the hygienists who have been so lovely.
