Fantastic experience: Tina and Durga were absolutely fantastic when I visited on Monday for a chipped tooth. I was a little concerned due to the chip being at the front of my mouth. Tina is an artist! Shade matched it to perfection.. you cannot tell where it was at all. I'm so grateful to them both. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!

Negative experience: Very Very disspointing experience at Fairlands. I had a tooth extracted. Instead of extracting the tooth vertically without interference with adjacent teeth, an adjacent tooth was used as a cantilever to lever out the failing tooth. This of course seriously damaged the adjacent tooth. Fairlands tried to assert that damage like this can happen but in this instance the procedure was simply performed carelessly and without due care. I could feel the cantilever action happening during the extraction. When the adjacent tooth broke, the dentist said nothing and simply removed the broken bits together with the extracted tooth, somehow hoping I would not notice! To make matters worse, I contacted the practice to get a resolution and went in to discuss it. They were very unhelpful, saying that I would have to pay for the appropriate repair to the damaged tooth. No effort whatsoever was made to really remedy what was a poorly performed extraction. Getting your customers to sign a 'no liability' contract in advance of work does not give carte blanche to perform shoddy work. To the dentist: please please never again use an adjacent tooth as a pivot point for an extraction. Even an amateur would not do this. To the public: I recommend avoiding this practice as they simply do not believe in good customer service.

Fantastic experience: I have had two teeth extracted by Tina Sarkhani-Moghaddam at Fairlands. She explained everything that was going to happen and kept me informed throughout the procedure. I had little pain and healed very quickly, I would recommend her and the practice.

Fantastic experience: I chose to brave the dentist after too many years of not going. I saw Tina and she was absolutely brilliant. I had to have a tooth extraction and a couple of fillings from her, and she was wonderful from start to finish. Made me feel completely at ease and talked me through the procedures and the cost of the different avenues we could have taken. Quick, easy, and excellent care - would highly recommend Tina to anyone, especially those that are nervous about seeing a dentist.

Negative experience: Do NOT get an appointment with Ms. Tina Sarkhani-Moghaddam, she is rude and rushes her work at the cost of your health and comfort, there are better professionals there but this woman gives the place a bad name... steer clear

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Fairland Dental Centre for years under the NHS, but lately every time I call to book an appointment, I’m told they’ve “reached capacity” for NHS patients and am pushed to go private instead. It feels like they’re abusing the system to pressure long-term patients into paying more. Very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Negative experience: I’ve been an NHS patient at this practice for over 10 years, always seeing the same dentist and hygienist. Recently, I was told they will no longer offer me NHS appointments and that my only option is to go private — something I simply cannot afford. As someone who works for the NHS myself, I find this extremely disappointing and unfair, especially after being a loyal patient for so long. It feels like long-term NHS patients are being pushed out in favour of private fees. There was no clear communication or justification, just a flat-out refusal to offer continued NHS care. This experience has left me feeling completely let down. I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, long-term NHS dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had such a good experience at this dental practice. I saw Nick Butcher who advised me that I would need a tooth removed but that the oral surgeon was on leave (after having surgery) and they would not be able to do it in the immediate future. As I was in some pain with my tooth and worried about further pain and damage, he suggested I look elsewhere for another oral surgeon at a different practice. I left my appointment and then received a phone call from Nick. He had taken the time after my appointment to look up dental practices near me that could accommodate the treatment I needed and gave me the information for them over the phone. These were dental practices he was not affiliated with. It was such a kind, helpful gesture and a clear indication that he had my best interests at heart. I will now be using this dental practice for all further treatment as I am so impressed with this caring and genuine approach. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Not helpful at all. Took a few x-rays, and still couldn't locate the infection/tooth that aches. Didn't advise any good painkillers... Charged a lot and advised me to wait until it gets even worse or to do root canals on most of my teeth to find the tooth causing me unbearable pain...

Negative experience: Not interested in NHS patients that have not had a chance to visit them for a while even if had a valid reason will only see you privately

Fantastic experience: I recently transferred to Fairlands Dental & Implant Centre, following the recommendation of a good friend who sees dentist Jessica Parish at this Centre, and having become dissatisfied with my previous dental practice. I was experiencing continuous hot and cold sensations in my upper left teeth, and arranged for an initial assessment consultation. I saw dentist Safia Mir who came over as professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I also noticed that the X-Rays she took, and showed me on her screen, were large and extremely clear, much better than previous ones I had seen elsewhere, as I recall. I was very satisfied with this initial assessment, at the end of which she advised root canal work on the offending tooth or its extraction, amongst other things! Yesterday, I had that tooth extracted by dentist Jessica Parish. It was an exemplary experience. I have had good dentists in the past, but Jessica is in a league of her own in my experience. She and her dental nurse were welcoming and friendly from the start, making me feel very comfortable and at ease. She explained absolutely everything clearly, before, during and after the tooth extraction, which I found helpful and interesting, but most of all reassuring. The tooth came out easily and I felt no pain at all! It has also been fine since (well the gap that is). I am so so pleased that Jessica will now be my dentist for the long term. Manage to remove the remainder of my tooth that had been left in gum via a previous appointment with a different dentist. As a very nervous patient, Youshuf was very reassuring. For someone who hates the dentist, very happy with the service I received.

Negative experience: Booked Hygenist slot, they took the money and then phoned 10 mins later to say the hygenist needs to get their car fixed. Now have to wait 3 days for money back. Do not trust, they sound foreign accents on the phone.

After many issues with my gums over the past several years, I tried Fairlands Dental Centre where I was referred to Angela. She was very detailed and transparent in explaining the problems and also the resolution. I have been beyond happy with the results of my treatment and no longer suffer with painful gums or teeth.

Positive experience: Very happy with our services at Fairlands Dental Practice. The only complaint I would have depending on the dentist you have is they try to get every penny out of you even if you’re an NHS patient! Even if you don’t need any work they encourage you to go to the hygienist, etc. Regardless of that though they are very good & I never have any issues getting an appointment in holidays or outside of school hrs with all 3 of us going together. Online forms filled out regarding medical info - remember id have to sit in reception filling them out on a clipboard, so no more faffing about.

Fantastic experience: From day one at the consultation through to scans and now the start of the tooth implant I have been dealt with very professionally and put at ease by the whole team. Ben who is dealing with the implant is so professional but with a relaxed demeanor and has kept me informed throughout the whole process. I didn't worry as I felt I was in safe hands. I would recommend Ben and the whole Fairlands team if you are thinking about getting dental work done. Fantastic experience: (Back story: In April of this year (2023) I attended my local NHS dentist after having some pain in one tooth whilst eating. I have always had “good teeth” & got to the age of 39 with only 1 filling. To my absolute horror, the NHS dentist told me very flippantly that it was a loose tooth, that I have severe gum disease & that I’ll likely lose my teeth. And with that they told me to book a hygienist appt & sent me on my way. I went home in tears, fearing I would lose my teeth before I even reach 40. I felt embarrassed, ashamed and incredibly fearful. I told no one as I was so ashamed. I spent that night trawling Google, & I didn’t sleep a wink the following few days. I phoned that same dentist the next day asking if I could be referred to a periodontist. I was dismissed with “you just need to see a hygienist” & “it’s hard to get referred” I followed up with a hygienist visit with them & asked for a copy of my notes. To my horror, I saw that 5 YEARS ago they had written in my notes that they had told me I had periodontitis & fully explained the condition to me! Given a few days beforehand was the first time I had ever heard of gum disease I immediately lost all faith in that NHS dentist, knowing they had lied on my notes. I set about researching for a periodontist privately, as (even though I don’t have a lot of money) it was clear I wasn’t going to be in safe hands staying where I was!) THANK GOODNESS I found Angela Boodhooa at Fairlands Dental. They are located 1.5 hours away from where I live but I had read up on her credentials & felt strongly that she was the person I needed to see. I wanted to confront this head on and find out the true scale of the problem. A few weeks later I had my 1st appt with Angela. I was incredibly anxious & burst into tears. She proceeded to do the most thorough examination I have ever had. For an hour she meticulously examined my teeth & gums, photographed them, xray-ed my mouth & then explained to me at length that yes I did have severe gum disease & bone loss but that there were treatment options I could have. Although I was heartbroken to hear how bad things were (and so gutted that this had silently been going on for years without me having any knowledge of it) I left that day with a little glimmer of hope. It was the first time ANYONE had ever properly shown me how to brush my teeth! I know that sounds ridiculous at the age of 39, but I had never heard of interdental brushes, didn’t know the correct way to use an electric toothbrush (I was brought up being taught that you rinse out your toothpaste for example!) etc… She had a plan for me & was clear about that plan (& the costs) & she was firm with me in the right way. She conveyed the severity but she also conveyed that I could do something about this. I felt looked after. Genuinely, properly looked after. A few weeks later I tentatively attended for my first course of treatment. I was really quite scared, worried that it would be very painful. Angela took real care in making sure I was fully anaesthetised around my gums before proceeding to thoroughly treat sections of my mouth. When I returned a couple of weeks later to have the other stage of my treatment she commented on how much less anxious I was. That is a credit to how careful and kind Angela is. It’s been 3 months since that course of treatment & I now religiously clean not only my teeth but in between each tooth every day, taking at least 15 minutes to do so. Doing it the right way! Angela commented at my check up that my oral hygiene is excellent & that my gums have improved significantly. Horrifyingly, if I hadn’t found Angela, my local dentist would have continued to let my condition deteriorate (whilst writing notes to cover themselves!). However, Angela has given me a more positive outlook & I am now able to pass my new education onto my teenage son so that he doesn’t have to suffer in the future. It’s a crime that there is so little education on gum disease but THANK GOODNESS for Angela and Fairlands. Highly recommend
