Positive experience: I'm happy with the practice as a whole. I have one small thing. When booking an appointment, one time a receptionist tried to give my daughter an appt. at school time. When I explained that I would have to take time off (i would've had to find a cover at work too) and pull her out of school. I'm a solo parent with no help from family working in a small preschool. The receptionist raised her voice and said that then I have to wait another 2 months. Then she gave me an appt sooner in the evening. Which was great. Basically bit more understanding for working parents please because we don't know people's personal situations.

Fantastic experience: After my initial appointment and the wonderful treatment I had then, as a new patient, I approached my 2nd apt, with no worry at all. Poppy and her team were just absolutely fantastic. So gentle, kind, patient and informative. My issue was resolved and for the first time in a very long time my mouth felt free of pain and sensitivity. I cannot recommend Fairfield enough.

Positive experience: The dentist I saw was lovely, he looked after me well. It’s a shame that the practice manager won’t let me bring my children to see the same dentist as me due to them being a in a different list, so know I have to go multiple extra times a year. Unfortunately my daughter now has a fear of the dentist due to the current dentist she sees, but she’s not allowed to come with me?

Fantastic experience: I was so happy with Emily I hate having higenist appointments as I have such sensitive teeth and gums But Emily was amazing and applied some toothpaste for sensitive teeth and this really worked I was shocked something so simple could make this so much better for me! Emily was really professional and really knowledgeable and told me some great ways to keep my teeth looking good between appointments so thank you so much! This is probably the best hygienist appointment I've ever had and I'm recommending my husband to her as well so hopefully she will have more space when we rebook with her!! Thank you, Emily ❤️

Fantastic experience: Since first becoming a patient at this Dental Surgery in 2018 I have been impressed with the friendliness, kindness and professionalism of all the staff. Especially the dentists and nurses who have supported me through a couple of very painful experiences in the past.

Fantastic experience: No complaints, good service

Negative experience: The appointment was very quick and no care taken for the teeth that Olivia struggles with that have grown discoloured from when she was ill as a baby . All her other dental appointments with Sarah hall has always been a small amount of treatment on these teeth to help with the discolouration. We were told to book in with the hygienist which has never happened before . It is something that has always been kept an eye on but this time sadly the treatment was not at the same standard as we have had before . Why is this please ? Many thanks Emma Lance

A plant or two would take away the ‘clinical feel’ and make it a bit more relaxing. Joe James Hancon, is an exceptional, kind, considerate dentist. Always calm, speaking softly and clearly. Fantastic experience: I just got urgent treatment, the same day as my call, and less than 24 hours before I was leaving for a holiday to Europe. I had broken the corner of a tooth and a large filling had fallen out. Robert Mew sorted it in 10 minutes flat. Perfect repair, no anaesthetic required, the man is a genius!

I had a not nice experience with one dentist but my regular dentist is lovely, friendly, never hurts me and always does superb dental work. I took five people with me to Fairfield several years ago and we are all still there and all have the same dentist!

Fantastic experience: Nothing but complementary. Efficient, friendly and, I can only speak for my dentist, I have a very good one. In my opinion, change nothing.

Negative experience: Very disappointed as was told a filling would cost between £90- £125. Had the filling done and was told it was a temporary. . I asked could I have a permanent filling and was told I need to wait to see if the tooth is ok. Tooth was ok a few days later and asked if I could have the permanent filling put in which I originally wanted, was told I would have to pay for another filling and wouldn’t be included in the treatment I have already paid for..Total would be £230 for the treatment ( a filling) I will be registering with another practice and speaking to their governing body as this is just a way to make extra money. I complained and had an email from the practice manager saying that this was normal practice. I have been a member of at least 5 practices over 50 years and have never experienced this way of treatment over a filling.

Fantastic experience: I had suffered toothache for the entire bank holiday weekend. I telephoned on Tuesday morning and was given an emergency appointment an hour later. Saw Joe who dealt with the problem and made an appointment for further treatment. It was a great relief to me. I am so lucky to be a patient at this practice as their staff and service is brilliant.
