Negative experience: I opted to switch to Together Dental based on its reviews & the fact that it is conveniently close to me, but I wish I'd just stuck with my original dentist in Chelmsford. I'm appalled at the service I have received. Firstly, if you're quoted a price over the phone, you might as well forget you ever had that conversation with them because they clearly lie to you to lure you in. You're given a completely different (higher) figure once you're actually sitting in the dentist's chair & are given absolutely no time to read their T&C's displayed on a tablet & are forced to sign your acceptance of this figure & whatever else the T&C's state without having chance to read any of it. Secondly, if you have a problem with any of the work carried out, don't expect them to care enough to actually put it right in a timely manner. I was quoted £250 for replacement removable retainers for top & bottom teeth on 7 March. When being seen by the dentist on 14 March, this figure suddenly increased to £350, but I needed the retainers because my bottom one had broken, so what was I meant to do? Decline the fee & mess up £10,000's worth of dental work spanning over 6 years on my teeth over the sake of £100? Knowing what I know now, I should have done because I'm £350 down & no better off. When my replacement retainers arrived on 21 March, I was seen by the dentist for all of about 3 minutes & within that appointment, I explained that the bottom retainer felt loose. This was completely dismissed by the dentist, saying it's meant to be loose. I've been wearing aligners/retainers on my teeth for 20 years & not once has a retainer ever felt loose like this - the whole thing wobbles. The dentist was completely uninterested & sent me on my way. Despite the practice opening hours stating they are open Saturdays, you can also ignore that because if you try to call on a Saturday, like I did, you will find that it is closed & that you can't speak to anyone. I contacted Together Dental again on 25 March to explain the situation & was then told the earliest they could see me again would be in a month's time because the dentist, who originally saw me, was now off for 4 weeks. I pushed back on this, staying this wasn't good enough based on the fact that I needed this retainer urgently & was then advised that another dentist would see me that day. On 25 March, I saw a male dentist, who did look at the retainer properly & confirmed it didn't fit, but stated he would be unable to take new impressions of my teeth without charging me, so I would have to wait for my original dentist to return for her to rectify the issue. I'm furious at the amount of money that has been taken from me based on the fact that I didn't even need a top retainer in the first place - I only opted to get this one as it seemed more cost effective to get this as a spare while I was replacing the bottom one, which is the one I desperately needed & remain without. How can they justify taking money from you for doing half a job?!

Fantastic experience: My experience with this dental practice has been exceptional, particularly with Hristofor and his dental nurse. This practice provided me with a second opinion after some treatment at another practice in Colchester left me in a great deal of pain. They have been excellent and corrected the poor work I had previously had done at another surgery. From booking to treatment, the entire process has been excellent.

Negative experience: I asked to be booked into an orthodontic appointment, what I actually received was a dental appointment to discuss aligners. I asked the receptionist before booking what the orthodontic appointment entailed and she assured me that there were scans etc, so I went ahead and booked, but this is not what I received. I have been chasing this dental surgery for 3 weeks now and no one has got back to me as I would like a refund as I am aware you can get aligner/invisalign consultations for free in most dentists, which I already had done at my orginal registered dentist! hence why I contacted Together Dental specifically for an ORTHODONTIC appointment. I am still awaiting for someone to get back to me and to refund me

After having an accident I needed to replace my 3 front teeth and went to see Az and his team, they were simply incredible! I was nervous, anxious but they did everything to keep reassuring me and keep me happy. They are perfectionists and would not rush the process. I have just had my crowns fitted and it looks so natural and amazing! I will always recommend Az

Fantastic experience: Our regular Hygienist is always very friendly, caring and professional. If she ever decides travelling to work in Colchester is too far, I imagine we will drive to her new workplace ourselves. She is definitely a real asset to the Together Dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shabbahang is exceptional. Feel lucky to have found him. Not cheap but you definitely get the expertise you're paying for with him. Not so sure about some of random admin at the practice, but who cares when the dentist is this good!

My regular dentist is a perfectionist, and even in an emergency other dentists I have seen have been so helpful. Recently my 18 month old daughter has been seen and they worked wonderfully with her to ease her nerves. I recommend this dentist practice to everyone

Negative experience: Cancels your appointments more than France cancels British people going on holiday, my wife’s been cancelled 4 times and just been told her appointment is June. It’s gone down hill ever since they went private. Thank you for the reply, it’s been a year and your practice has gotten worse, I believe your trying hard to get rid of nhs patients and concentrating on private patients, when I go in for an emergency appointment and all you do is tell me what I already know which is I snapped a tooth then you want £250 or wait 5 months for an nhs appointment then that’s money grabbing

Positive experience: I seriously can't recommend this dentist, Dr Hristov enough. He put my mind at ease, he always examples what he is doing and making appointments are stress-free and you get sent an email, a text and a reminder call the day beforehand! Only downsides is that dental assistants come into the room to get something when you having work done which puts me off abit and also that I had to go private which is seriously expensive! Only halfway through my treatment though but am completely comfortable with my dentist and have faith and trust in him.

Negative experience: Getting an emergency appointment has been impossible. My partner has had an infection for over a week. I called and was told he needs to call the next day at 8:30, which he did and was the first caller but they said all emergency appointments had gone and no one was now in for 4 days. I called 4 days later and they said they could not book without talking to my partner because of GDPR?? I said I cannot lose this space I've waited 20 minutes in the queue, he will be back in 5 minutes. She refused and said it was the process, so I had to hang up. Of course when he called back straight after he was number 7 in the queue and told he had missed all the appointments for today. We have now had to pay privately, and of course, I was able to book on his behalf. GDPR does not stop you from booking for someone else, it stops the sharing of restricted and personal information.

The staff are always polite and helpful and the dentists are extremely good, very professional and always take time to explain things to you. The surroundings are very nice too which has a calming effect. Very pleased with the service that I got recently when half a filling dropped out. I was able to get a very quick appointment and the dentist explained what had happened, what she was going to do and talked me through each part of refilling it. Definitely recommend them.

I was someone who was afraid of going to the dentist because I have had traumatic experiences in the past, but both Hristofor and Babita are so kind and professional that they made my fear of visiting the dentist feel unjustified. If you are in the same situation as I was and you are afraid of going to the dentist or signing up with the clinic, please do not be. At Together Dental Colchester Country Park, everyone is professional and kind and every appointment, whether it's with the hygienist or the dentist is a pleasant, pain free experience. The dentist and the hygienist take time to explain what they will be doing, why they will be doing a certain procedure and they will also advise you of the costs before starting any procedure, so you will not get any surprises. The receptionists are all so nice and kind and they make you feel like home as you walk through the door. 5 stars are not enough for this clinic, so here are more stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you all so much. Fantastic experience: I've moved to this new dental practice since February 2022 due to previous bad experiences elsewhere. Branch in Colchester (Country Park) is far the best dental practice I've been to. Practice is very clean! Prices are lower than many other practices, plus if you join a Dental Plan you get a discount on all your treatments and free check ups & hiegynist appointments (deal is no brainer). All staff are always very friendly and helpful. But the biggest asset of this practice is Dr Hristofor Hristov. Dr Hristov always makes you feel at ease before any treatment you due. Very friendly, down to earth, knowledgable, helpful and gets you fully involved in your treatment plan and choices you able to have (nothing like in my previous experiencies). Had 7 appointments until my treatment plan has got completed and every one of them was 10/10 experience! Plus I've just recently transferred my kids for their check ups to Dr Hristov and my kids words, after their first appointment, were: "Mum, he's very nice and best dentist we've ever been to". Big thank you to all team!

I was unsure at first as had had it done, very badly elsewhere, but this exceeded all expectations. I had a bonding treatment to slightly lengthen my front teeth and smooth out the ridges and slightly jagged edges and also some filling on receding gums. My teeth now look amazing! Fantastic experience: We can't thank Hristofor Hristov enough for the kindness and patience he has shown our family. He has talked us through procedures and educated us all. About a year ago we were told our 7 year old would need a filling and at the time it was looking like we'd need to wait to have this done under sedation. The referral was declined by the hospital but with lots of patience she had her filling today! He talked her through each piece of equipment and how it would feel. She's left the dentist today feeling happy and proud of herself. My husband and I grew up hating dentist appointments and feeling anxious about visits. She absolutely loved every minute of her visit beginning with a very warm and friendly welcome of receptionists and ending with her appointment with dentist Jane Murugi where she got to choose a sticker for being a good patient and looking after her teeth. Both dentist and her assistant was so lovely and they even let me made a photos of my daughter having her first check up so she can show her teachers at nursery.
