At Beam, our prime focus is to create beautiful smiles for people of all ages. Orthodontics is the specialised technique using braces to straighten teeth that are squint, gappy or don’t fit together properly. Established in 2007 by Specialist Orthodontist Ruaridh McKelvey and his wife, qualified dentist Jane Adams, we work with patients from all over Dundee, Fife, Perthshire and Angus at our practice on South Tay Street, Dundee.

Fantastic experience: I have been on an amazing Invisalign journey at Beam Orthodontics. This is orthodontics at its best. The modern facilities, relaxing atmosphere and professional team who are all lovely. I absolutely love my new smile and I will never again try to hide my teeth when I speak or smile, such a huge relief & confidence booster. If Invisalign technology had been available in the 1980s when I was in my teens this would have saved me decades of feeling self-conscious about my squint teeth! I would recommend Invisalign and Beam to anyone who is unhappy with their teeth, even more so now in the age of mobile phones & video communication. I had the wonderful Roxana who is so adept, knowledgeable, skilled, proficient and kind, and she is clearly a great mentor to her colleagues. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you Beam. Fantastic experience: Roxanna, heather and the team have been amazing and very supportive - always friendly - and very gentle on the odd occasion its feeling a bit sore. Every step of the process was explained to me before hand, it felt like first class care and I am so thrilled with my results. I can not recommend this experience highly enough. There is ample pay and display parking outside, there is a lift as well as stairs and each bathroom has a nappy changing facility.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience, from the start right through to getting the braces off. We were at Perth orthodontist for a short time which was very unpleasant, the drive to Dundee for each appointment was worth it for the professional, kind, friendly staff at Beam.

Fantastic experience: I can not fault beams treatment for my eldest son, nearly 17. Appointments, advice follow ups just everything. He has just had his braces off tonight and what a transformation! Fantastic experience: I got my braces just before the pandemic hit in Feb 2020 and changed all our lives. Positive experience: Been with Beam for 3 years. Generally good service up until the end when I had £704 left of a £4000 bill to pay and they assured me twice I would still be able to have them off and on the very last minute, inside the practise on de-brace day they said they couldn't take them off. I had a full breakdown in the practise. My fiance payed £500 to have them taken off. I'll be their customer continuously until we get married quarters in England but my relationship with them has broken down and I cant say I'll be as hyped as I usually am going places to be visiting there after having my heart broke.

Fantastic experience: I went to beam orthodontist to see about receiving Invisalign to close a gap in the middle of my 2 front teeth and now I no longer have that gap and overall my teeth have never looked better. I now feel more confident smiling in photos and I can’t thank the staff enough for being so helpful and making me feel at ease from the minute I walked in the door.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend my experience with Beam highly enough. Throughout my treatment the whole team have been knowledgable, professional and friendly. I’ve been kept up to date with any changes in my plan and sent reminders 2 days before any appointments. The building with the new extension and its new surgeries is elegant and pristinely clean, together with the friendly welcome it puts you at ease. The treatment itself I wouldn’t have believed was possible. It was straightforward and didn’t take as long as expected. Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant experience throughout my treatment to straighten my teeth. I initially had a retainer due to a terrible over bite then an actual brace for 2 years. Cannot fault them with the treatment, regular check ups, apts if any hiccups. My teeth were awful before and I was so self-conscious. I have just had my brace off today and feel absouletly amazing!!
