Negative experience: Kicking out NHS patients and didn't even have the decently to tell me in person. Received a letter from the NHS to tell me they are cancelling their work with the NHS. I was there for a checkup yesterday and there was no mention of this at all, said he'd see me in six months. Should have been honest with me, honestly costs nothing.
Good Morning We appreciate your frustration, but the Local Health Board has forbidden us to release the information. They assured us that the patients will be assigned a new dentist. We have just followed up their instructions.

Negative experience: They don’t call back when they promise. Then accuse you of not turning up to appointments and remove you as a patient as you have been for 2 years, um probably because there has been a pandemic and they weren’t seeing patients. Dear Cheryl, We completely understand your frustration. We can see on our records that you registered with us in 2019 and in the course of 1 year you have 2 missed appointments. Based on the NHS rules that is a reason for people to be taken off the list. The purpose of the NHS regulation is to make sure surgery time is fully utilised and people with needs can be accommodated promptly. We have automated reminder system that reminds patients for appointments. We can see that you have been taken of the list based on attendance and it is not related to the pandemic. We have to follow the NHS regulations which apply in the same way to all the patients registered with us. We have been open and seeing patients throughout the pandemic with in the government regulations and restrictions.

Fantastic experience: I had problems with my implant I contacted lot of dentists that deal with implants but they all refused to see me I contacted , Dental nova they saw me on short notice and sorted the problem out. I would highly recommend this practice good friendly honest dentist.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly grateful for the time, care and patience Nik has shown me. He's taken hours ensuring that my splint fits perfectly to neutralise the jaw pain and tooth damage a life time of chronic clenching has caused. Last year my jaw muscles were so tight that I couldn't open my mouth wide enough or long enough to get a filling. As an incredibly anxious dental patient I can't recommend him highly enough.

Positive experience: When experiencing a bad toothache with symptoms displaying as a continuous and intensive throbbing that I was unable to manage with over the counter pain relief. I contacted DentalNova and was relieved to be offered a same day appointment. Front staff very helpful, welcoming and friendly. The practice is clean and tidy. An examination of my mouth took place and xrays taken which identified other various issues that I felt were pushed to be addressed when I really would have rathered my immediate pain issue to be fixed/alleviated where possible before considering the other treatments as visiting the dentist is a nervous experience for me. I explained I was nervous of which I was told was evident and that this will make providing treatment difficult for the staff which heightened my nervousness and made me more tense. The pain I visited for that day was diagnosed as being caused by teeth grinding. I was then offered an appointment for 2 weeks in the future for a replacement filling in the tooth causing me the pain. I then paid my £80 fee for the consultation that day. I very shortly after requested via email that this appointment to be moved forward where possible as I left still in the pain that I was not able to manage and the prospect of 2 weeks in said pain was unbearable. I received prompt and polite replies to all my emails and I was contacted as promised if there was a cancellation and a sooner available slot. The pain by that point had already got so unmanageable and had continued to progress rapidly leaving me unable to eat, brush my teeth in affected area or open/close my mouth. In the following 24 hours after my consultation I ended up in A&E with a swollen face and being unable to swallow without great difficulty. I have subsequently received emergency treatment from an alternative dentist that identified my pain as an abcess in said tooth that is now being treated. I advised DentalNova via email that I will not be returning in future for any treatments and received a polite reply of acknowledgement.

Negative experience: Extremely poor quality service with this organisation. Openly treated poorly and in a condescending manner if you want to receive NHS treatment, the staff will try to charge you for composite fillings despite them being covered under NHS guidelines for near frontal teeth. Reception staff are rude and have an attitude. Senior partner won't make any referrals or do anything to move out of his own ego's way; Having met with a former dentist here I was examined and the dentist was shocked by the poor standard of care I had received, lot's of huge amalgam fillings, clear jaw and dental traumas causing bite issues. She explained to me that my state of oral care resembles something she expected to "see back home" in eastern Europe. After our meeting she explained she would consult with the senior partner and plan for treatment whilst also pushing for a referral for complex issues to be examined/treated. A few month's later lo and behold she had left the practice. I suspect due to having first hand experience of the appalling state of NHS treatment/frustration within the practice.
