Fantastic experience: Very nice dentist appointment I'll got a teeth out today I feeling better had no pain naw but I still have one teeth in left. I phone up yesterday morning they got a appointment straight away ready for Christmas. All clean and smell nice all downstairs no upstairs

Fantastic experience: *I wanted to add an updated review to the one below which I wrote 11 years ago. Yesterday I had a filling replaced by Hannah. I was very nervous about this filling, especially as a recent pacemaker implantation has left me feeling a bit vulnerable. Hannah was absolutely brilliant. At every step she was compassionate and reassuring. She explained what she was doing, what to expect (the next drill might feel like a bee buzzing in your head) and repeatedly checked I was okay. This morning she phoned me to check I was doing okay after the procedure. I have been coming to this dentist practice for many, many years and I always feel like I am in the best hands. Worth every penny. All the staff are polite, friendly and attentive. So thank you Hannah for your kindness and consideration yesterday. I can't praise Dapo and her team highly enough!!! I have been going to Dental 397 for years and when it changed hands I was a little worried that it wouldn't meet up to my high expectations (I live in Barnstaple so I travel for a good dentist). Dapo has exceeded my expectations, she is gentle, highly skilled and the first dentist to teach me how to properly care for my teeth. Since following her instructions I now have dramatically less sensitivity and having my teeth examined is now painless. I also want to mention the rest of the team who really make you feel cared for so that the whole experience is a pleasure. Thank you Dental 397 keep doing what your doing :)

Fantastic experience: Have been going to 397 for a number of years. I find Dapo to be very professional, also caring and compassionate. With a great sense of humour. Which creates a relaxed atmosphere .Dispelling the fear some may have of the Dentist . Highly recommend to anyone nervous or confident with a visit to the Dentist.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here for a number of years and have had root canal work and crown as well as general check ups. I am not a brave patient and both Oladapo and her staff are excellent.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs! Definitely WON'T return to this practice. Passive-aggressive dentist with zero bedside manner or compassion. On the bright side, the receptionist was adorable.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely perfect service from Dental 397. Offered me an appointment next day for an emergency repair on my broken tooth. Was a very relaxing and professional environment for someone who isn't so keen on the dentist! A follow up call after the weekend to see how everything was! Would highly recommend and would definitely go back for further treatments

Fantastic experience: Very nice place I love coming here as they are always so accommodating and always provide a 5 star service the only bad thing is I can't come more often best dentists in the world my old dentist put a filling in my mouth and it lasted not even a month but when I had another put in but this dentist it was in there till my tooth fell out which was around more or less 5 years

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Oladapo enough I even travelled from London every few months when I lived there to get my check ups and cleans as I get too nervous going to the dentist. She’s the only dentist that’s never hurt me and has the patience to help me through my dentist phobia! Il never go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Alas, I can’t recommend Dental 397. It’s true the team are friendly but the prices are beyond a joke and, at times, the service has fallen short. Just been quoted £937 for a crown! Seriously? And that’s their cheapest one. Last Oct/Nov, I had to wait over a month for the check-up + hygiene that's included in their dental plan, obv meaning I paid an extra £19.60 for the month I was waiting. The check-up before last was a pretty quick whip-around followed by the hygiene. My first 2 hygiene appts were with the 2 hygienists, who were v thorough, but the 2 most recent ones were with the dentist and took less than the 30 mins stated on the fees list. Just cancelled my plan and am already booked in with another local dentist – my only regret is not doing it 2 years ago.

Fantastic experience: Don't go anywhere else! Whilst trying to remain and appear composed I can assure you I am a very anxious customer. I came to Dental 397 because I knew I needed a fair amount of work done but also needed to feel assured that the people looking after me were the kind to go the extra mile. I want to leave a detailed review in case anyone, like me, is apprehensive and want to feel assured. I made the call and was booked in for a consultation very quickly. Dapo not only explained to me what needed doing but how I could prevent cavities in the future. I had an explanation on why I get cavities in between my teeth rather than on top - incredible! I’ll be honest, I actually was so anxious that I had a consultation elsewhere to see where I felt most comfortable. It wasn’t even close! A month or so on from that appointment, nearly all my teeth have been sorted. I believe some of them were complicated fixes too! I didn’t feel any pain in the slightest and was frequently asked if I was OK. My fear of the dentist has completely gone because of the team at Dental 397. And what is so nice to see is that they love what they do - like truly love it and truly care for their customers. And that is utterly priceless. Fantastic experience: Many years ago, at a dentist in Princesshay in Exeter, I was subjected to 75 minutes of pure agony when I had a wisdom tooth extracted. I was only about 15 and that was me finished with dentists !!! Moving on to about 20 years ago, I discovered Dental 397. The dentist was called Lars and he was fabulous. He took dentistry to a new level and he sorted my teeth out, no pain, no fuss, he and his staff were great! Moving forwards in time, an extremely beautiful dentist called Dr. Dapo Olotu took over the practise - and took dentistry to a whole new level. I will never go anywhere else for treatment. I am looked after like one of their family. The treatment rooms and the reception room are spotlessly clean, and they have the most wonderfully calm, relaxing feel about them. I actually look forwards to my visits because it is a beautiful experience. Dapo and her amazing team are so incredibly focused on making your visit an enjoyable one, this has to be one of the best dental practises in the UK, Europe and the World. I will stand by my words because the practise is so incredible. I'm running out of complimentary words to describe this practice, it really is so fantastic and mind blowingly superb !!!! Fantastic experience: I’m not a review writer normally but this place deserves it! I contacted them with awful toothache and explained how anxious I was about the dentist. They quickly got me booked in for the same day (Sunday)! From start the finish the team treated me with care and respect doing everything they could to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I have suffered for years with dental problems due to being so anxious about going, but I recommend anyone going through the same to give Dental397 a call. Thank you folks!

Fantastic experience: Dental 397 is quite simply wonderful! The staff are some of the most friendly, caring and comforting people that I have had the pleasure to meet. I have had my teeth straightened and the end results are just... wow! Nothing was ever too much bother. Dapo (the principal dentist) went out of her way to ensure the whole process went smoothly and was always there to answer any questions, no matter how silly (and I had LOTS of questions). I've been kept well informed during any treatment I've had (Cfast straightening, whitening, filling, root canal) and always get a phone call the day after treatment to check how I'm doing which is very much appreciated. I've moved my young children over to Dental 397 too. They actually look forward to a check up! I genuinely couldn't recommend Dental 397 highly enough and am so glad to have found them.

Fantastic experience: Dapo is a fantastic dentist and ever so caring about all her patients. She's also extremely thorough and has done wonders with my teeth, especially my teeth that were ruined by dodgy dentistry in the past. She makes that extra bit of effort to get to know her patients and even though I can go a long time without seeing her, she's always interested in what I have been up to. I really couldn't recommend Dapo enough, she's fantastic and makes you feel really at ease.

Negative experience: When I first went to 397 I thought it was a great dentist as I was a very anxious patient. But that all changed I had an appointment booked for some treatment and I'd spoken to the receptionist regarding my treatment that I just wanted to concentrate on getting my top teeth dealt with first ready for my daughters wedding in August. Dapo rang me and I explained what I wanted and explained that having all the treatment done would stretch my finances so just wanted top teeth dealt with. When I arrived for the appointment I was asked for an up front fee of over £400 I had already paid £175 the week before which did include the £55 for the check up on that day. I didn't have that I only had enough for what the treatment I thought was having that day which would have been around £250 with the deposit i paid the week before. I was told i couldn't have treatment and was not offered any money back of what I had paid the week before ìI arrived for my appointment and I was refused treatment because I didn't have the upfront payment which would have been more than the treatment cost for that appointment. I felt very disappointed and up set. As it had taken me lot to fight my anxioty with a dentist and dental 369 did know how bad it was and it was made worse as at the time it was only 7 weeks to my daughters wedding the one reason I was having treatment . Ive spoken to a lot of people and like me they hadn't heard of paying so much up front a £50 deposit yes.

Fantastic experience: I must admitt that all my experience with doctor Dapo and the practice are excellent. Dr Dapo managed to save my tooth although it was said that it had to be removed. Dr Dapo put a lot of effort into it and I am very thankful. If I can take the chance and also say that the higenist in the practice is marvelous and it is worth paying every penny. The practice helped me to find help concerning my gum problem and I am very thankful. Norhing is too much and all whoare working in the practice will do a ot extra to make you valuable patient. Dapo is punctual and there are plenty of appointment choices which is ideal for me as I work shifts. I only get the treatment I require and not pushed into unnecessary extras. Fantastic experience: Being new to the area I couldn't believe my luck that this brilliant dental practice was nearby and had parking! My luck improved further when I met the brilliant Dapo! Being in my seventies I have lost count of the many many hours (and many many pounds...) spent at various disappointing dental practices. I was convinced my crumbling front teeth would need expensive veneers - or worse, but Dapo managed to transform them with some miraculous fillings rather than pushing more expensive options. A crown I had replaced fitted perfectly - and that has never happened before! Believe me when I say Dapo is a very very skilled Dentist and a delightful person. The surgery is welcoming, as are all the staff and I recommend Dapo and the team wholeheartedly!

I usually see Dapu and can guarantee you'll find her meticulous in her approach, and highly sensitive to her patients needs. If you're nervous, this is the place to go. All the staff there are warm and reassuring, you'll be well looked after. Going to the dentist really doesn't have to be a nightmare!

Fantastic experience: I called Dapo desperate for an emergency appointment this morning and was so pleased she agreed to see me. I struggle with anxiety, more so around dental appointments because of previous bad experiences, but right away Dapo made me feel calm, relaxed, and assured that she wouldn’t let me leave until my issue was resolved. I was in a lot of pain and needed a procedure to prepare my tooth for a root canal. With other dentists I have regularly been in pain during the appointment, but Dapo waited as long as I needed to make sure my mouth was numb and I did not feel anything at all during the appointment- very unexpected and very pleased about this! Dental 397 is a tidy, bright space kept extremely clean and homely, and the calm playlist helped me relax. Dapo explained before the procedure what she would do, then during she explained how long things would take, and afterwards helped explain aftercare and emailed me with my notes for my regular dentist. Dapo was professional, kind, and very caring. I felt I was in safe hands and actually enjoyed the time I spent at the dentist today! I hope to see Dapo again one day- hopefully not with a poorly tooth next time though!

Fantastic experience: Cant think why my son's name is here! This is Marion Westlake speaking. The team moved heaven and earth to get me an emergency appointment. I saw Dapo who was utterly charming and, more importantly, calming. I am now a devoted fan/patient. I have some serious work to be done but I feel so safe and even optimistic for the first time in many years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this team. The reception staff couldn't do enough so what a wonderful welcome (a new experience I must say)

Fantastic experience: The best experience I have ever had in a dental practice. Everyone in the practice is extremely kind, friendly and considerate. Very clean and a nice, calming environment, with lovely lovely staff. I have had three wisdom teeth removed with them recently and the dental practitioners always kept me informed about the process, made sure I was alright and were very understanding throughout my experience with them. The service is organised and professional, very friendly, and I felt like I had a clear understanding of what procedures I needed and why, and really appreciated that clarity. I really can't applaud them enough, they are so lovely and I can't imagine my case could have been handled better. Big thank yous to these lovely people!

Fantastic experience: I honestly don't have enough words to describe my experience today. I am a 30 year old mother of one with A LOT of dental problems and the absolute biggest fear of the dentist. (I've always said I would rather relive my sons csection any day than to have any dentist come near me after a terrible experience i had as a teenager). I came across this practise by accident when looking for a emergency dentist after the millionth sleepless night filled with toothache. I didnt know what to expect. A lot of dentists have turned me away because of my level of anxiety or forwarded me to have my dental work at hospital which i have never followed through due to me other biggest fear... being put to sleep. Today i had a troublesome tooth removed that has desperately been needed to be gone for YEARS! This tooth... has been the bain of all my problems in recent years. Many dentists have told me it will only be possible to remove this tooth by oral surgery under a general anaesthetic. So when i was told today that they were going to remove it i went into a full blown anxiety attack. Well, can i just say.... she did the most perfect job. Oladapo is the first dentist to ever be able to get the job fully done because of her incredible ability to ease my anxiety and say all the right things to make me feel safe and confident in her hands. She has literally changed my life. I have no after pain. No swelling. And during the procedure every second i was expecting the worst only to find i had been met with the absolute best dental care i have ever experienced in my life. She is thorough yet gentle and places great care on her patience giving you all the time you need with an incredible amount of patience. She showed great knowledge in health and made me realise and learn so much why i need certain work doing to my teeth. With great care and amazing work she removed my troublesome tooth (or what was left of it) with no problem at all, the tooth many dentists told me needed to be surgically removed and that i would need to be put to sleep for, she removed!!!!!! And while she did i felt absolutely no pain, didnt need stitches or surgical work and made me as comfortable as she possibly could. Once my anxiety eased i swear i could have fallen asleep while she did the work! This is the longest review i have ever left in my life but it is so deserved as this experience has changed my life. I cannot wait now (believe me i never thought i would see the day where i would say that) to have the rest of my teeth sorted out by her. I am actually excited. I cannot wait to be healthier, happier and PAIN FREE! All thanks to Oladapo. The most incredible dentist i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And trust me, i am a tricky patient. Riddled with anxiety and terrible teeth. It says a lot coming from me ;) as every dentist has only terrified me. Not Oladapo. Thank you SO MUCH. Fantastic experience: Dental 397 is a fantastic dental practice. I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Dapo; the tooth was impacted which made the extraction difficult (it took 1 hour), and I was in pain for a few weeks afterwards. However, Dapo and her team were fantastic throughout the process; during the extraction itself she and Hannah (the dental nurse) made me feel relaxed and at ease, and in the immediate aftermath the careful explanation of what she had done and what I should do next was reassuring. For the next few weeks (during the Christmas period) Dapo answered emails and saw me several times – including on Boxing day – to check up on me, give me advice on how to manage the pain, put in/take out stitches, and ease my worries. The gum has now completely healed and I am pain free. I cannot give enough praise to Dental 397, and thoroughly recommend them. I live in London but travel down to Exeter (where my parents live) simply to use their services; I wouldn’t go anywhere else for treatment. Thanks so much guys!

Fantastic experience: Why would you go elsewhere? Yesterday I had a crown fitted, I was apprehensive as I'm sensitive and very aware of the slightest of imperfections when work is done. I shouldn't have been as Dapo is a perfectionist and extremely caring. This is a great Dental clinic, and a joy to attend. Unlike my childhood memories of the dentist of old... Fantastic experience: Starting with a warm welcome and a cup of coffee through a sensitive and thorough New Patient assessment I was continually reassured by Alex and Hannah that I was in the hands of professionals who cared for me as a patient. I was provided with verbal and photographic information regarding my teeth and requirements going forward, and was given impartial advice regarding what procedures might be necessary or not; although the decision was left to me. To be highly recommended.
