Fantastic experience: Worried by a sore tooth when about to go away for a few days - Fiona soon had the situation under control. She cleaned the tooth, and applied a filling around the partially exposed root. The tooth has been comfortable ever since. I could take my break with confidence as I was provided with antibiotics to be used if necessary. Very grateful to Fiona who is always very caring and understanding. Gillian

Fantastic experience: An appointment at Ormond Terrace Dental practice is never traumatic. The welcome in reception sets a tone of friendly professionalism. A visit to Michael’s surgery involves a friendly chat before any examination takes place. If treatment is deemed to be necessary it is performed with skill and minimal fuss. A further post treatment discussion on any future work involves more friendly chat. The end result is that one always leaves with an enhanced smile, (actually and metaphorically)

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for many years and have seen many changes. Each time I have settled in well with a new dentist and Fiona is not exception. I was greeted by by first name and she asked how I was. The examination was straight forward and I was given advice on keeping my teeth in good condition. Also the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. As with every dentist there are charges but I cover these with a monthly payment plan which spreads the costs.

Negative experience: We have moved to a new dentist we can trust and one who doesn’t put a corporate price on your head / you can hear them ringing the tills as they check your molars. They used to be a very good family firm that has now gone corporate with all the fees, targets and upselling that goes with it . Buyer beware

Michael is a brilliant dentist; nothing is too much trouble and his skill is very clear. Michael and all his staff, nurses, receptionists, all are so courteous and friendly. We feel very thankful for all he done for us, and indeed our daughter and grandchildran.

I am devasted having to leave as Michael is retiring... anyone going here will never be disappointed with the wonderful care and treatment that this practice offers. Would give it 10 stars!

Positive experience: The procedure done are really good. I had extensive work done and I paid about £1000 pound more than the original estimate. Be more accurate with your estimates. I also feel that you look to do procedures to improve your income not what the customer wants or need.

My children attend here too and they had a great time, even my son who is usually very nervous and scared of healthcare stuff. I'd definitely recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Since my first visit during the mid 1970's (with the late Mr. Shipway) I have always found all the staff to be extremely friendly and professional. Always had Michael treating me (never been seen by another dentist) and he has always been most patient with this wimpish now old lady. Just hope I "retire" before he does. In addition to the staff I feel the surgery and waiting room to appear very welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I've been with Mick Shipway all my life and his Dad (RIP) before him. Absolutely brilliant. Never rushes decisions and all options are weighed up before acting, drawing on experts around him when required. I have and will continue to recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I have been having treatment with Fiona for the past couple of months. It took me a lot of courage to even make and appointment with her after several traumatic experiences with another dentist previously. I was a trembling wreck when I attended my first appointment. Previously, I had been so anxious I had vomited in the dentist's chair, however, even from day one with Fiona, I felt at ease. I knew I would require a lot of treatments as I was planning to make my teeth a lot more presentable for my upcoming wedding. I attended several appointments, involving an extraction, root canals, fillings, cleaning and a partial denture. Honestly, even the thought of sitting in a dentist's chair again completely horrified me. Clearly, I had nothing to worry about. Fiona is the most amazing dentist I have ever visited, but not just that, she is a wonderful person. She constantly checked I was okay, during every single appointment. I was on a fairly tight time frame due to my wedding, but every cancellation, I would receive a phone call and Fiona would book me in. She was so thoughtful, attentive and just lovely in general at every single appointment. Thaks to you Fiona I can now smile with confidence on my wedding day

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have had problems with dental implants The person who did the original work has left and his replacement is trying hard to resolve my problems I have had 3 different dentists as they don't seem to stay long I don't want to leave as a new practise would not want to take responsibility. I had my previous dentist in Cirencester for 40 years Sorry I left.

Fantastic experience: I had lost a front tooth. Michael Shipway replaced it,, pinned it to make it secure, leaving me with a complete and professional job well done. I was delighted with my treatment.

Positive experience: Always very efficient, prompt and caring. Staff turnover during and after Vivid has been quite high (particular hygienists) which has led to feeling of less continuity. Hopefully resolved now.
