Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Castlegate since Nigel took over the practice a number of years ago. I’ve had numerous treatments over the years from checkups to implants. Nigel always explains the reasons for treatment, the options in a relaxed ‘no pressure’ way. His team are both very professional and friendly. All treatments, however small or complex have been pain free, any follow up care required has been fantastic with Nigel or his team always available. The best dental practice I’ve used by far. Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: It would be difficult to describe the level of my phobia of dental procedures, Castle Dental Practice know this and ensure I’m given all the reassurances, time and care, to cope with any visits and treatment. Needed an emergency appointment, phoned in at 8:30, in the chair and tooth filled by 1:00pm, Rachel, her assistant and receptionist are understanding, friendly and professional, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to Castlegate Dental Centre for a number of years, Always been excellent and friendly care and still is . Mr Nigel Kirk has been absolutely brilliant as far as I am concerned. Previous to seeing Nigel I had a fear of all dentist, stemming from my experiences with the school dentist . No longer do I have that fear and its always a very efficient and pleasant reception from all the staff there.

Positive experience: Went to Rachel as an emergency and she couldn't have made me feel safer about the procedure and informed of the work she was doing. Not a great fan of visiting the dentist but 'thank you' Rachel for looking after me. Another dreaded visit to the dentist but once again I was put at ease and given clear explanations throughout both appointments - Nigel and the hygienist - it was all good. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Rachel is the most wonderful dentist ❤️ she is kind, gentle, thorough and takes time to get to understand the needs of her patients. My mum also visits Rachel, and she’s always had a fear of dentists, but actually looks forward to going as it means she gets to see the lovely Rachel. Her dental nurses are always polite and lovely and the reception staff are rays of sunshine. I’m reluctant to recommend Rachel and Castlegate dental surgery because right now, I can get an appointment when I need one Only this week I broke a tooth and the dental receptionist very kindly spent time rearranging the calendar to fit me in the following morning with Rachel, who promptly repaired my broken tooth as well as a chipped front tooth for me, and showed me before and after photos - it is a work of art! All ready for Christmas. Thank you all for being so amazing, if I could give 10 stars, I would! x

Fantastic experience: Rachel was great. Friendly. I don't feel rushed when I see her or that she is trying to sell me something. Very thougher on my re-registration appointment and gave me printed information on a issue I am having with my jaw.

Negative experience: Not happy re a procedure on an existing denture which was going to take longer at the lab than expected.I requested it be returned the next day but due to a delay in the lab being informed it was going to be the following day.A prompt call to the lab would have sorted it.

Fantastic experience: I have been customer at Castlegate for forty years. I have had several hygienists over those years, but the recent visit was a new lady called Lisa. I never write reviews but felt I needed to as this lady was lovely. I was welcomed warmly and she put me at ease straight away. This lady is the nicest hygienist I’ve ever had. I do hope she stays.. Good find Castlegate ! Hope she’s a keeper

Alice is now my dentist and she continues to maintain the friendly, professional and excellent service I have always received. I would also like to mention Lisa, my new hygenist, who made my day with her friendly and warm approach to, what has in the past, been the part of my appointment I had not looked forward to.

Fantastic experience: Disillusioned with my previous dentist I came to Castlegate due to a recommendation from a family member. So pleased I did. Couldn't be happier with Rachel Clarke. She gave me a very thorough initial examination and followed up with two fillings which were the easiest I have ever experienced. Didn't even feel the injection, and she has an charming drill side manner. Tracy her assistant worked very efficiently alongside Rachel. They make an excellent team. Wish I had come to Castlegate a long time ago. Finally their prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: A gold crown had come out - I’d mistakenly got the time of my appointment wrong - the dental practice - Castlegate Dental Practice, York , did not charge me for a missed appointment but made me another appointment that day . The crown wasn’t able to be put back inside so my dentist, Rachel Clarke , did work which was needed round other teeth / all very carefully done with full explanation

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my share of dental problems in the past, but since I joined Castlegate Dental Practice in York, my confidence in treatment has improved immeasurably. The dentists are highly skilled and just as importantly very kind and considerate. I’m a bit pathetic with any kind of dental pain and after a couple of difficult appointments with a hygienist whose robust approach left me feeling a little sore, my recent treatments have been excellent experiences. Today’s appointment with Lisa was actually quite fun! She is skilled and a great professional. I am very happy to highly recommend this Practice.
