Having a root canal isn’t a pleasant experience however I felt completely relaxed and he explained everything that he was doing and kept up a witty banter with his dental assistant throughout which created a genuinely comforting environment. Fantastic experience: Fantastic treatment from Howard and his team of two. I had an infection in a front root canal which was causing pain. I was seen very quickly, assessed and given an emergency appointment for the next day. The procedure was explained thoroughly and clearly and executed painlessly. Next day, I am pain free, and have already had a follow up call from the practice. This has been a great service all round from professional and friendly reception to first class treatment and follow up. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extracted last year, under advice that it wasn't serving any useful function and was crowding out its neighbour. That's the only tooth I've lost in the last 22 years attending SBD. For sure there have been some fillings and CEREC (same-day) crowns along the way. Can SBD act timely, proportionately and professionally to preserve your teeth? My answer is yes.

Fantastic experience: Stoke Bishop is a very friendly dental centre, both Howard and Rachel have looked after me and my wife for several years now. Both are very good at what they do and careful in their work. I have always been ok with dentists but my wife not so. She is ok with all of it now because of the help given to her when having treatment. All the best SBDC

Fantastic experience: The surgery is bright, modern and there’s a relaxing atmosphere. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Todays appointment was for a check up but dentist James A Pope found a problem that I was not aware of which needed attention (a filling) but instead of having to wait for a new appointment he was able to do it later the same day which all went well and between these two I had a hygiene appointment with Rachel which was all very pleasant and left my teeth feeling clean and ready to go for another 6 months.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental centre! Everything about my experience doing Invisalign here was brilliant. Dr Jay struck the perfect balance of being informative, welcoming, professional, and honest. Dare I say, it was even fun going to the dentist!? She and the reception team were particularly patient with my whimsical last minute emails and waffling descriptions of my worries. Would highly recommend Stoke Bishop Dental Centre, whether you live nearby or not!

Fantastic experience: I told Howard that if he causes any pain, then I'll give him a 1-star review. Yet, I didn't feel a thing when I had my filling yesterday. Last year, I had root canal treatment (again by Howard) for a tooth that had caused problems for many years. 16-months on, the tooth is doing fine - no issues with it now. Okay, 5-stars it is then!

Fantastic experience: Popped in for my double crown appointment this morning. Very friendly reception staff greeted me and then taken upstairs by Howard to do the deed. Very relaxed atmosphere but clearly knows what he's doing (thankfully!). After the prep he took me up to see the crowns being manufactured on site, which I found fascinating, I suspect some might not be as geeky as me. Then back an hour and a half later to be fitted with said crowns. Very slick. Dentists don't tend to be a popular spot to visit but the experience was as good as it could be. I definitely recommend Howard and his team. Next week I'm seeing the hygienist

Fantastic experience: I have been a regular twice-yearly attender at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre for about 10 years. It started with a full mouth rehabilitation that included 6 implants and has more recently been generally confined to examination and hygiene visits, this latest being the last mentioned with Rachel. I am delighted with this and indeed all my treatment. Well done the team.

Fantastic experience: Was unable to sleep after having extreme tooth pain. Called 111 who said to go to a dentist first thing, and after a morning of calling dentists in Bristol they were the only one's who could see me same day! I got my answers and solution as early as they were able to see me, and every interaction with each employee was lovely and easy. Not a surprise they have so many good reviews!

My own dentist wouldn’t give me an emergency appointment for an agonising toothache for 6 weeks - despite my being a private patient, so I called Stoke Bishop Dental Centre who fit me in the same day and carried out an emergency repair job. They were wonderful and I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: After years of receiving poor NHS dentistry I decided to follow my Wife's recommendation of using Stoke Bishop Dental Centre. I am not exaggerating when I say the comparison between the service I received with the NHS and currently experience with Stoke Bishop is like light and dark. The service, experience, and professionalism are light years away from the NHS, also not as expensive as you would think, especially if you use one of their dental payment plans. Now I am a Stoke Bishop patient I will never return to a NHS dentist. Cannot recommend Stoke Bishop Dental Centre enough.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre in a bit of a fix. We had just moved back to Bristol from abroad into the chaos of the pandemic, which had meant interrupting my son's braces treatment programme. The odds were against us to find a way to continue. Fortunately Jay agreed to take him on, and we had many pleasant visits to see her over the next couple of years. I always had the feeling that she advised us with a lot of professional integrity, and the after-care was exceptional. I thought she might want to see my son once after his treatment progressed to Bristol Dental Hospital, but in fact it was three times. In conclusion, Stoke Bishop Dental Centre has provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I would recommend Jay and the team very highly.

Positive experience: Really encouraging, caring, professional staff at my annual check up and hygienist appointment. James and Rachel helped me feel at ease, were efficient, kind and informative with further treatment recommendations. I felt listened to and valued and treated very well.

Fantastic experience: I have had a dental phobia since my teens, and am now in my 50’s. I was recommended to this dentist because they deal with people who have a real fear/phobia. Oh my goodness, what a service from the team. Every detail of what they are going to do is explained, even down to the noise you may hear. I have been using them for several years now, to the point my teeth have never been healthier, and I go to my 6 monthly check ups without any fear. My dentist is Howard who I totally recommend. Howard said to me, he treats the patient, not just the teeth, I truly believe this is what makes the difference between Howard and your average dentist. We are not just a set of teeth, we are people with fears and feelings which he totally respects. I am now booked in for Composite Bonding to give me the smile I deserve after fearing the dentist for so long. Thank you Stoke Bishop Dental Surgery, I couldn’t recommend you highly enough. Negative experience: We’ve been patients at this practice for years but cannot recommend them as a family practice. Appointments rarely available around school times, and often cancelled with late notice by the practice. Recently cancelled my children’s’ appointments, then rescheduled to a date 2 months later, when they had stopped providing nhs provision and wanted us to pay (original appointment date would have been under the nhs). Paul refused to speak to us directly about our issue. Unprofessional conduct.

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy I was recommended this practice and I was lucky enough to get Howard as my dentist. Having had some difficult past dental experiences I’d developed a phobia of even the room and had been avoiding going for years. I needed three fillings which I genuinely thought I couldn’t do. Howard and his team were so caring to me, he talked me through every step, slowed it all down and just took my fear seriously. He really took time to check I wasn’t in pain during it. Also his humour and calmness really chilled me out, did not think I’d end up laughing at times during a filling. Mainly no one made me feel bad or embarassed about how scared I was, or silly for crying, and it just helped so much. I honestly don’t think I’d have been able to complete the fillings with anyone else. What’s wild is by the third one I didn’t even cry - which is a real testament to how restorative a person centred approach can be to fear. I thought I was just going to endure getting a filling, I didn’t realise I could actually get my fear treated too. I’m so grateful. Honestly if you’re scared of the dentist or have had prior bad experiences this is 100% the practice for you and I really recommend booking in with Howard

I always get a warm welcome from the lovely ladies on reception, and get through when phoning through with a query or to make an appointment without any problems. Michelle is the most organised person I've met and has been so helpful and patient when organising all my appointments. Howard and Flo make the best team and have made me feel comfortable when getting my dental work with them. I am very confident in their ability as well as their genuine care for me, the patient, talking me through the procedure so I am clear what will be happening. I have been so impressed by the level of professionalism, care and attention paid to the complexities of my condition and treatment. I initially saw Howard who provided comprehensive information with warmth and consideration. As implants were required as part of the treatment, I was treated then by Paul Wilson. Paul and Michelle patiently and thoroughly went through the treatment plan and associated costs ensuring I fully understood and could make an informed decision. Fantastic experience: I was recommended your practice 25 years ago and although I have now moved I still go back regularly - I would not trust another practice to look after my teeth as they are so caring and explain every thing they are doing which is so helpful when you have your mouth open and are unable to find out what they are doing. They use the latest equipment and I feel confident they will do a good job. Rachel looks after my teeth regularly and has saved my gums from infection and Paul works his magic on replacing broken teeth with the latest technology, and no pain! Fantastic experience: I've been using Stoke Bishop for over 16 years and always receive exemplary treatment from Paul Wilson, as well as from Jim and others at the practice. Despite having to have quite a bit of major work (because of previous problems), I've become a much more relaxed patient. This is because of the quality of care provided By Paul, Rachel (the excellent hygienist) and lovely nurse Emily. I recently managed to have a root canal without sedation, something I thought I'd never be able to do. To say I look forward to my dental appointments might be a stretch but, I certainly don't dread them anymore and it's always a pleasure to see the friendly team.

I've had various treatments throughout the years but very recently had an implant and I can honestly say that Paul (dentist) and Emily (nurse) were fantastic. I had absolutely no pain after the procedure and it's all healing really well. Specifically what makes treatments with Dr Greeves so excellent from a patients perspective is his strong focus around patient care, which is exemplary. From the moment you walk into the surgery he makes you feel at ease and explains in detail treatments that are options for you specifically. As a patient this gives you a sense of ownership of your treatment as Dr Greeves is able to articulate clearly the advantages and disadvantages of the each treatment option available. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending his services to a family, friends or colleagues.

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly recommend Stoke Bishop Dental Centre. My son and I have both had our teeth straightened by Jay, the Orthodontist, who is fantastic! She always welcomes you with a smile and is very professional. If you’re looking to get your teeth straightened then I’d highly recommend Jay. We have also seen Paul and Howard for our routine dental check ups, both of whom have been very professional, friendly and great with my son.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience today with my son ,the receptionist was very friendly and the air-conditioned waiting room was lovely. Howard and Flo are very professional and made my son feel at ease as they could tell how nervous he was. Every step was explained to him. I would highly recommend this Centre.

Fantastic experience: Had treatment from Howard Greaves and his Dental nurse Flo. Five stars to both. Felt safe and looked after at all times. Both were pleasant. I felt no pain at all despite having front top root canal treatment. The receptionist is also lovely, puts you at ease as soon as you arrive.(Katrina) Five stars all round and thank you.
