Fantastic experience: I had aligners and composite bonding done with Dr Andrew El-Miligy and honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. The transformation in such a short period of time has been amazing, and the whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. Andrew was professional, friendly and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. He really took the time to make sure everything was perfect and I’m absolutely delighted with my new smile. I can’t recommend Andrew and his team enough. Fantastic experience: Over the last year I’ve had treatment done by Andrew, I can honestly say it’s the best experience at the dentist I’ve ever had. Andrew has saved a tooth that I was told at another practice couldn’t be saved and he has done an outstanding job, I highly recommend him and this practice.

Fantastic experience: I've found Caleb to be a highly skilled and knowledgeable dentist who keeps up to date with the lastest methodologies to provide excellent care. Every step of any procedure is explained and he reports on progress throughout. He supports patients to make informed decisions about their dental health and provides a genuinely warm welcome and reassuring presence. All in all I feel very fortunate to have Caleb as my dentist. I've also had good experiences with the dental hygenist and the reception staff at this practice.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and caring staff - I've needed some emergency appointments and some complex care for a root canal and Caleb has been excellent. Also all the dental nurses and reception staff have been lovely and always try their best to help - giving emergency appointments quickly when needed - Im very happy with the care I receive at this practice.

Negative experience: I have come here my whole life and haven’t had a problem until the practice was bought over. Since then I have had the single worst experiences in any health or cosmetic treatments. I have been passed around from dentist to dentist as it seems the staff cannot be retained - this means my dentist has no knowledge of my dental history, and their records are incomplete - I literally had to ARGUE with my current dentist about which teeth my composite bonding was on as the records only went back so far and he would not believe me. I had been booked in by a previous dentist as a follow up to teeth whitening for my wedding. This appointment was cancelled and a new one automatically booked for two weeks before my wedding. I got to the appointment and the dentist did not know what I was there for and told me he was “just filling in” and that he didn’t have any of the materials required. I explained that this was time sensitive as my wedding was in two weeks, after which he was visibly panicked and booked me in again for the following week. A waste of my time. I get to the re-rescheduled appointment for him to ask AGAIN why I am there and what we are doing - he tells me AGAIN that they don’t have the materials, but that there is something else he can do. He covered my whole front tooth in something that was yellower than the rest of my teeth, I told him I was unhappy and he hurriedly tried to fix his mistake. By the time I could feel that this man did not know what he was doing in this procedure, it was too late and I had to see it through. What I am left with is a front tooth that does not look like the rest of my teeth, is a different shade, and is not smoothly finished at all. This wasn’t even what I had come in for! It completely knocked my confidence on my wedding day and beyond - I wished this dentist had just told me he couldn’t help me and left it at that. TLDR; This practice used to be good but can’t retain staff and so cannot provide you with any useful service beyond a check-up. Single-handedly ruined my confidence for my wedding day and I won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Platt and Common for over 50 years. The current team are excellent. Fraser Horn is a first rate dentist and the girls in reception could not be more helpful. Delighted to recommend them!

Negative experience: Awful - have had my hygienist appointment cancelled three times since last september - been waiting 8 months - and there's no recompense. But they'll charge me £10 for missing an appointment. Zero apologies.

Fantastic experience: Very good & professional service. My dentist Andrew was great at communicating during my treatment, with photos to explain what has been done. Happy with the results.

Fantastic experience: I have been to this dentist several times and all appointment I've had have been very disappointing and ive been unhappy everytime but today's appointment 25-06-24 with caleb, was the best appointment I've been to, he gets the 5*s. He was so informative and reassuring, I didn't feel rushed or scammed but unfortunately he's leaving soon so hopefully he can pass me onto someone else like him!! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Great Dentist staff always helpful

Negative experience: Been going here almost 40 years. Missed 1 appointment due to my father needing emergency surgery after an accident and was fined £25. No sympathy from the practice manager and no offer to waiver even some of the cost.

Negative experience: Staff very friendly and efficient, however...the NHS dentist told me I needed 6 fillings. Didn't sound right to me, so I got a 2nd opinion from a private dentist...who said only 2 fillings were needed. The NHS dentist also pushed the private option of white fillings, didn't do an oral cancer check and didn't show me any xrays or explain why the fillings were needed!

Fantastic experience: Thanks for giving me a very quick appointment re a broken tooth. The nice and friendly young woman who carried out the repair did so by informing me of each step. A job very well done, I could tell without looking in the mirror. Thank you.

Negative experience: Receptionist was horrible over the phone after a told them a had covid told them a could attend but was not sure the rules on this she started arguing twisting my words then hung up shocking way to deal with people

Fantastic experience: Terrified of Dentists due to bad experience’s in the past. Especially extractions. Had a back tooth out today. “Frazer Horne” Best caring Dentist ever.!! Never felt a thing.!! Tell them how you feel and they will look after you. Thank you Frazer.

Fantastic experience: Great dentists and lovely staff, always made to feel welcome and the treatment on offer is second to none.

Negative experience: Horrendous place with really horrible staff and receptionists. Made to feel really small considering I've had 2 bad experiences here. Never reccomend this place. The fact that the dentists keep leaving is testament in itself.

Fantastic experience: Moved here from another practice and boy what a difference. Professional and efficient. He has been excellent with the children too. They are all happy to go to the dentist and are never nervous about it. Explained whole root treatment to me and even showed me photos of the procedure and how he carried it out and eaht the next stages might be. The reception staff are all really friendly and lovely to the kids with stickers after treatment. I also have been to the hygienist here and my teeth have never been so clean. Wholeheartedly recommend Platt and Common.

Negative experience: Went in with a wisdom tooth sent to a hospital for an xray yold to take it back to when it was taken back had no contact from them for days had to call myself to then not be told any information on when or even where al be getting it removed was passed away to someone else and had no contact since wouldnt recommend

Fantastic experience: Excellent treatment

Negative experience: Was changed dentist without asking me. Also got a composite filling that resulted in an infection needing root treatment. No aftercare advise was given.

Negative experience: Went in for a regular check up and have been advised to do some more work. I had a filling done and it fell after two weeks while simply brushing. Also after two weeks I ended up with an infection to a tooth near the filling. Went in for having the infection looked at and got charged £35 for something that may have been caused by them. Dentist and staff very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Im absolutely terrified of the dentist. But each time i need to go to the dentist iam always put at ease by my dentist. He is an absolute credit to Platt and Conmon dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Warm welcoming friendly staff providing excellent service in all aspect's dental care from the moment you enter the clinic. John, Jennifer, Taelor with (Hygienists) Anne and Kirsty have looked after our family's dental requirements for a number of years now and we have no hesitation in recommending their clinics services.

Fantastic experience: Dentists are always very friendly and welcoming. They take time to explain their plans for any treatment and give you a chance to decide on an appropriate choice if there is more than 1 available. Always give good advice without being condescending. The reception staff are great and very understanding if you need to move an appointment about. They try to be as accommodating as possible with appointments and from my experience usually have a good choice of dates and times available. They always ask if you would prefer an early or late appointment.
