Our whole family have been going to the practice now for 21 years and can say that the practice staff and the service they provide is superb. I would recommend the practice to anyone undeservedly

Fantastic experience: Staff at this practice are kind, professional and courteous. They discuss treatment options without pressure and are also good with anxious patients. Bear in mind the dental practice is situated up a flight of fairly steep stairs and there is no lift, so may not be accessible to all.

Positive experience: Excellent dental practice, service and staff are always very nice and helpful. Some times difficult to get an appointment if you require one within three to four weeks. Update 2024. I did give them 5 stars but after being with this practice for over 50 years the new Portman have decided not to have NHS patients hence reduced the stars. Not very happy, it has taken me over 6 months to find an NHS dentist.

Positive experience: I was an NHS patient all my life with this practice (50 plus years). Causeway Practice was absolutely brilliant. Thanks to the dental practice no longer offering NHS treatment this was my first private appointment. The service level has fallen considerably. I was left waiting for 20 minutes and no one could be bothered to tell me about the delay. I'm not convinced of the abilities of my new dentist either. However, my hygienest, is excellent, hence the 3 stars. If you are looking for a dentist review the option before signing up with this practice.

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant appointment with Dr Ruth Bentley. Being in the town centre the Causeway Dentist practice is very convenient and easy to access from say, Sainsburys car park.

Fantastic experience: Wisdom tooth extraction Broken wisdom tooth resulting in having the extraction. Quick appointment for diagnosis and then managed to get a cancellation for extraction - all well within a week! Obviously not a pleasant experience but was all done in a very relaxed way with dentist putting me at ease. Best dentist I’ve had at the causeway for a long time and have been going there for over 25 years.

Fantastic experience: Having left a previous review for the former hygienist Fay I am happy, no, extremely pleased to leave a review for my latest hygienist Kozue. This is the second time I have been attended to by Kozue and I implore Causeway to retain her, she is fantastic. I am a nervous patient but her demeanour and assurance kept me at ease and I can’t thank her enough for her professionalism and dedication. The whole procedure was efficient and painless and I have no hesitation in recommending Kozue and the Causeway Dental Practice. Perfect result and a pleasurable experience.

Positive experience: I have been coming here for a while and the standard of the patient care here is impeccable (indeed most Drs Surgeriers could learn a lot about patient care from the Causeway team). Only reason I havent given them 5 stars is that during the last couple of visits I have been 20 minutes and half an hour late being seen with no explanation and no previous patient coming out from the treatment room. Also the three dentists I have seen have been introduced as "Dr" when only having a BDS qualification. I am higher qualified than this with masters degrees in both Buisness Management and Engineering and I am not entitled to call myself "Dr". Other than that this is a very well run practice with all of the latest equipment that gives a high level of patient care.

Fantastic experience: A great dentistry practice. Organised and friendly. Mark O is warm and welcoming, he is very professional and caring. I have had various treatments from Mark and he has always taken great care doing a great job and ensuring I’m comfortable and experience no pain. I have been at this dentist practice since 2014, I recommend it, I would not change despite moving house further away and happy to travel to remain with Mark.

Negative experience: It's a great practice and the people are lovely but it's so hard to get an appointment. I had bad toothache, finally got an emrgency appointment after 10 days, now have to wait another 10 days for my own dentist to see me (even though they know what's wrong) and then have to wait another 8 weeks to get it fixed. They simply have taken on too many clients.

Positive experience: I’ve experienced the full spectrum of dentists and the Causeway are at the top end. I was traumatised by the NHS removal of a wisdom tooth….. the dentist actually used a scalpel to slice my gums and then his knee on my chest for leverage and I was 13 at the time, so I now find any dental work stressful. The Causeway carry out their work calmly and efficiently to the point that I trust them and remain calm. Four stars since I have only had fillings with them and nothing more intrusive So I can’t give a full review.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentists here and professional staff all round. Great care taken, calm and experienced coping well with all ages and problems. Advice given is fair and prices standard for the area. Been here several years and very happy. Whole family now here.

Positive experience: Dentist and her nurse were excellent, with a sense of humour, which was great. Receptionist, was a lady I had not seen before, and to be honest was not as speedy and efficient as those that I have met previously. If this had not been the case then I would give 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: As someone that without fail, always gets anxious about visiting the dentist I can totally recommend this practice. The dentist and dental nurse always put me at ease. She takes the time to explain what I need to do to improve my dental care and where necessary and will explain any treatment if needed. Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: I saw Nurse Sianah and doctor Thacha for a bridge and the whole process was extremely quick, efficient and professional. They went out if their way to help and the service provided was truly warm and friendly ( and came with great tunes!). Reception are lovely too and very welcoming. Overall lovely team, efficient appointments, overall this practice is fantastic, with a very good dynamic, there isn't a single thing I could reproach.

Fantastic experience: Reception are always pleasant with a greeting and made to feel welcome as a patient and customer. I am rarely waiting long for treatment and usually keep close to schedules. I appreciate this when taking time away from work. Treatment is always professional and I am availed of what I can expect to pay. So no shocks when it comes to pay the bill. Happy with the service I receive and I am sometimes difficult to please, so "nice job".

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at this practice just after the lockdown. Staff made me feel safe and have shown plenty of health and safety considerations. The doctor and nurse I saw were friendly, thorough check up. They also had a 3D scanner for the teeth which I received a copy of. I am definitely coming back and would recommend others to! Edit: Came back for my 2nd appointment. I've signed up for a plan so didn't have to wait and pay after the appt and was in and out within 10 minutes, very efficient! Thank you! Negative experience: I used this practice for quite a few years and the hygenist service is very good. Not so convinced about the standard dentistry, I saw a consultant from Kings Hospital (they are great by the way) about a wisdom tooth and they wrote to my dentist to ask them to take care of some receding gums which my dentist did not mention and did not deal with. I was an NHS patient and I doubt it wouldn't have been very cost effective for them but they could have at least discussed it with me. Then, I missed an appointment, my own fault I admit but I thought it was 30 minutes later than it was. When I realised I'd got the time wrong I called them immediately to apologise, this was ten minutes after my appointment and understandibly they couldn't fit me in still, I'd have been about 15 minutes late. They charged me for my missed appointment which I'd understand if I'd not called or if I did this more than once in the several years I'd been with them but this is the first and only time I'd ever missed an appointment.. I spoke to the manager there to explain what happened but they were not interested and so I paid up. I'm now looking for a better dentist and thought I'd leave this review whilst I was checking the others. If you're considering joining this practice it is my view, from my experience, that they are mercenary and place profit well above their customers. Oh, I should mention, their receptionist is great though.

Fantastic experience: Early days, as today was my first appointment - but I'm impressed! The atmosphere is relaxed with warm colours of paint & lighting which combine to make it feel less clinical & less threatening. Unlike some, the waiting area is not full of adverts trying to up-sell products & services, nor was there a horrible fish tank! That made me feel more like a patient than a customer (which is good). The staff were very friendly, the service and treatment were perfect.

Fantastic experience: I have been to see Sadaf, the dental hygienist, on two occasions and I have to say she is absolutely fantastic. She has a caring and professional manner and gave me such valuable and useful information about how to care for my teeth. She is the best dental hygienist I have ever been to and I just wish I had seen her many years ago. She is a real asset to the practice.

Fantastic experience: Always a good reception there, preceded by a smooth on-line booking alert and confirmation system, plus text reminders later on for one's appoinmment. The dentistry I've experienced has been regular check-ups plus some advice - or at least acceptance without comment - on one's cleaning regime, if one asks.

Fantastic experience: Always happy with my experience here. Receptionist is very friendly, as is my dentist who also made me feel completely secure and offered some great advice.

Negative experience: Was seen on time and nurse was being assessed so she asked if I minded assessor sitting in. Dentist asked if I had any problems before checking my teeth. I was then given an X-ray as it was sometime since the last one.

Fantastic experience: Vipal Kataaria is the oil prospector expert of dentistry in his specialisation of root canal work. I had no idea that each tooth has totally different root systems which need to be tapped into. Attention to patient comfort from anaesthetic to final X-rays and his explanation of what he was doing throughout made it a pain free and even fascinating experience. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who needs root canal work to book an appointment with him at the Causeway Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr Vipul Kataria at the Causeway Dental practice for a root canal that I required on one of my rear teeth. As someone that has always been quite anxious about dental treatment, the treatment I received from Dr Kataria from start to finish was excellent. Dr Kataria started by providing a thorough overview of the treatment and answered the questions I had clearly. Once the treatment had begun, Dr Kataria and his nurse ensured that I was comfortable at all times and did not rush the treatment. Overall it was a painless experience from start to finish and I would strongly recommend Dr Kataria at the Causeway Dental Practice to anyone that requires root canal treatment.

Fantastic experience: All the staff I have interacted with at this practice demonstrate high levels of patient care coupled with genuine understanding of personal needs. They are calm and listen with empathy whilst ensuring the task or treatment in hand is efficiently completed. I cannot speak highly enough of them. The treatment and care recently provided by Dr Vipul Kataria and Dental Nurse, Hajni was exceptional. I was kept extremely well informed during all stages of my treatment and this gave me full confidence in the team. My treatment included methods and procedures which were new to me, but they were always calmly and reassuringly explained. Vipul and Hajni set me at ease from the moment I entered the room and this friendly, professional manner endured throughout. I fear the greatest danger whilst receiving treatment was not from anything medical but rather Vipul's jokes! Thank you Vipul and Hajni in particular, but also to the lovely reception team who are always incredibly helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

Fantastic experience: Very good and helpful session with hygienist Lynda on Friday. Was impressed with steps to ensure a hygienic environment. Five stars. Excellent, professional work from Vip Kataria on my root canal treatment and from Mark O'Hara on my crowns. Their sense of humour helps!

Fantastic experience: I have used the Blackhorse/Causeway surgeries for over 40 years. The care they take with their regular check ups is excellent, just hoping that these resume soon. The hygienists are always very thorough and the dentists very efficient. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Before the pandemic, a digitisation transition commenced and it is all the better for it. Convenient, efficient and practical. Continue to evolve. Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth and phoned the surgery for an appointment which was arranged quickly. I arrived at the surgery at the appointed time and was seen by my dentist within minutes of arrival and within 15 minutes my tooth was fixed and I was on my way. Thank you Sonal, excellent service.

Positive experience: I visited Natasha Bowey, dental hygienist, on 3rd February. Everybody was polite and friendly at the practice. You could only enter via secure entry door, hand sanitizer was available for use and it felt COVID-19 safe. The procedure was done with hand instruments only but was thorough and painless.

Fantastic experience: Can’t thank this dental practice enough, not only did I join this practice petrified of all things dental but I also needed a lot of work done; a few appointments later and my phobia is next to none and my teeth are the healthiest they have been since I was a child. Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentists and hygienists and lovely reception staff - always friendly and helpful and my teeth and gums are always looked after with care! I was given options when I had an issue with a tooth and after perseverance and patience from my dentist Mark O'Hara the tooth settled with his care. Fantastic experience: I was genuinely amazed by the service I received. I wasnt already registered with a dentist and experienced a problem a few weeks back. I was able to speak to a dentist on the phone who via some photos of my teeth felt a visit to the hygienist was needed to solve the problem. I booked a direct access appointment but advised I was a nervous patient, hence the long time since I'd ever been to a dentist. Natasha and her colleague were amazing. I've never felt so comfortable in a dentist chair!!! The fact I'm not at all worried about my return visit in 4 weeks time (in fact, actually looking forward to some more cleaning and getting on top of things!!) Honestly finding this practice and natasha and her colleague has (this may sound over the top) but changed my life in sense I have a dentist practice I trust and am comfortable with means I wont spend another 13 years avoiding going!! Fantastic experience: Following an emergency over the weekend, an appointment was allocated within two days and the issue resolved. Following a second emergency during the lock down, the practice once again provided a resolution without fuss

Fantastic experience: I visited for a check up with Dr Merrony. What a lovely person she is. So kind, patient and caring. Very thorough and talked through everything with me. This was my first appointment with her but I hope she never leaves! I'm not a fan of the dentist at all but she made me feel much more relaxed than usual.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at Causeway, having recently moved to the area. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the reception staff, and my dentist (Dr. Evans) was very helpful in explaining to me the importance of getting the right toothbrush to avoid causing any further gum disease. The waiting time was also short. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I actively look for excuses to wriggle out of attending regular dental appointments, however having read the reviews online... I pulled on my big girl pants and turned over a new leaf by enrolling at The Causeway. I needn't have stressed and wish I had gone years ago. The staff are friendly and open and the whole thing was easy and drama free. Couldn't recommend more highly for a nervous patient.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased to be a patient at this dental practice and count myself lucky. I have had bad experiences with previous dentists and their lack of customer care but here they couldn't be more helpful and friendly. My appointment was on time, the reception team were very friendly and from my dentists I received a good check up my teeth as well as lots of info on brushing, sensitive teeth and the best toothpaste for me. I highly recommend this practice!
