Fantastic experience: Having just had the last of my treatment today I can not recommend The Old Church Practice enough.Although extremely professional as you would expect these guys are so friendly and down to earth, Within 6 weeks of treatment they have erased all the fear I had about dentists. From the first appointment to the last Charlotte on reception has been amazing, so friendly and made me feel at ease both with her professionalism and her sense of humour. Thank you Charlotte. Both Brendan and Andrew have been fantastic in dealing with my phobia of dentists.The level of work these guys do is amazing. I can’t thank you guys enough for giving me my smile back. Thank you

This place is amazing I was made to feel at ease from day one during my treatment for my dentures. The reception staff are so lovely and welcoming and always ready to help. Mozam and Amy were second to none during my extractions I was so nervous but they got me through it with the upmost care and Brendan was brilliant from my first consultation to the day my dentures were fitted. I was absolutely over the moon so I would like to say a massive thank you to you all for giving me my smile back xx

Positive experience: Hy I paid £2000 2 years ago for new dentures, am I happy, no not really. 3 weeks after I got them I could feel 2 teeth on either side of the dentures were inferior to the rest of them. All the other teeth aren't too bad . But these 4 feel as though they have been coated with grit. Any food I eat sticks to the 4 teeth. From one sure not happy bunny.

Fantastic experience: I have recently visited and Moazzam was simply brilliant despite my initial nerves. He was calm, reassuring and is clearly an expert in his field. I was a tad nervous and forgot to thank him for talking me through the process and checking in to ensure I was fine. He did a fantastic and professional job with careful precision. Most importantly, he reminded me that he was there to make sure I was happy with the result and he would refine anything along the way, or subsequent to the treatment. Fantastic experience: I was so grateful to find somewhere who could fit me in at such short notice. Lovely staff. Great service. I’m sure it’s not normal to say that the staff on reception made me cry… but I honestly teared up watching them today. Not because of my treatment…, but because I stood there and watched the blonde receptionist lady show the most patient, gentle kindness to an elderly man. It was beautiful to witness, and a reminder that real care starts long before the dental chair. It was sooo lovely to see.

Everyone is always so friendly and willing to help in anyway they can.

Fantastic experience: The practise has been incredible. The reception staff are always friendly and approachable, help me to find an appropriate appointment and sort out the best plan for me to use financially. My dentist, Andrew Lyons , is a super star. He always sorts the best treatment for me, explaining the options clearly and pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each option. . As I am a nervous patient, he is always reassures me as the treatment progresses. His work is always of a high standard. The dental nurses are always friendly and supportive too . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the practice.

Fantastic experience: On my first visit I felt welcome and appreciated the time spent with me by my dentist to give a forward plan to make the best of my teeth. The practice is in an old church which has been sympathetically converted, maintaining some of the church features including a magnificent stained glass window

I honestly cannot fault the team work and reassurance given to me from Andrew and Megan they were brilliant. Fantastic experience: Really professional dentist. Not cheap but then you pay for a really good job. I hadn't been to a dentist in 20 years and these guys got my teeth back in great shape within just a few months (3 visits). Really impressed with them and Amber did a great job of cleaning my quite badly stained teeth!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Old Church Dental Practice by my existing NHS dentist for a wisdom tooth to be removed, as I wasn't prepared to wait months and months for the NHS referral to get sorted. I'm so pleased I got sent there and had an appointment with Jennifer Noone. She was great, very friendly and calming, as was her assistant. Initially it was just to have a look at it, but as she had a cancelled appointment then she was able to do it there and then. A big thank you to everyone at the practice as you made the experience far less traumatic than it could of been. The building is amazing as well.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Thelma, who is a root canal specialist. I was very nervous when I arrived. Thelma and her nurse, Georgia, we're both very calming and reassuring throughout my treatment. Thelma explained what she was doing, and regularly asked if I was ok. Once the anaesthetic kicked in, I didn't feel a thing. It was a long appointment but they were very caring and professional. As an anxious patient I would recommend this dentist without any doubt.

Fantastic experience: Have been with this practice for a number of years. I cannot fault the excellent service, never once have I had cause to complain, have had a few dental implants and an delighted, I can highly recommend to anyone thinking of having dental implants. The service starts with the receptionists who are so helpful, hygienists who are tip top and the kindness and expertise shown by the dentists themselves is second to none. Just excellent.

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently joined the practice after being unhappy with the care provided by my previous dental practice. I’ve just had a hygiene appointment with Amber. I was hugely impressed with the advice, care and time taken by her in my appointment. The most thorough hygiene appointment I’ve ever had. Fantastic experience: I went to The Old Church Dental Practice to have three teeth removed. Jen is superb, very friendly and explained everything to me. The three teeth where removed and I Jen was epic with the skill she has. I can't believe how she removed the three teeth so quick. I was stitched up and on my way. Appointment booked for a follow up which with been new to the practice I've never had before. I'm writing this the day after the appointment and yes I'm sore in places but I've had three teeth out quicker and more professional than my old NHS dentist ever did. I wish I had seen her years ago, that's the only disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Thelma my dentist at The Old Church has been great over the last few years, she has fitted crowns and veneers that have made a big difference and get a lot of positive comments. The reception staff are friendly and efficient and the practice itself is beautiful.

Fantastic experience: 3rd EDIT 20.03.25: I visited again today for my annual dental check up and 6 monthly hygienest appointment. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, professional and explain things fully - right from the reception team all the way through. I recommend to anyone who asks me about which dental practice I visit. I sort of enjoy my dental visits now. Thank you for providing a wonderful service again. 2nd EDIT 9.8.24: I visited today for my 6month hygienist checkup. I'd like to thank Amber and Becky for both being patient and kind to me during my appointment today. Thank you both so much, sorry I was a massive baby! ❤️ 1st EDIT 9.1.24: Today I visited for 2 reasons, to be fitted for a mouth guard for night times with Andrew, and to see Melissa the hygienest. Andrew first. Quick appointment and pleasant, kind again - he used electronic equipment to take the "moulds" for my mouth guard - no gross putty like I've experienced before! And I'm back in a couple of weeks for it fitting. Thank you. Melissa - sooooooo lovely! Really put me at ease, explained everything and was super gentle too. She checked multiple times throughout my appointment because I was very anxious that I was OK and not in any discomfort. ORIGINAL REVIEW 1.2.24: Wow. Without a doubt THE BEST dentist I have ever been to (I'm 41 and been visiting the dentist since i was primary school age)! First of all thank you to Sophie Lumb for posting in the local Facebook group making me aware of this practice. Making my appointment was easy, the receptionist who phoned my prior to my appointment to check my details was lovely. Today when I arrived, I was first of all amazed by the beautiful building - the energy was gorgeous and not stressful at all. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was lovely welcoming me to the practice as it was my first visit I was seen on time by Andrew the dentist and Jemmima the dental nurse. Both were lovely. Andrew explained everything, gained consent, was really gentle and didnt make me feel at all daft when I asked any questions. I'll be back next week to see the hygienest and to have a fitting for a soft occlusan splint. I've been scared of visiting the dentist for many years now, and I have to say that after today I'm on the verge of actually looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you Emma ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Started a process of treatment with Andrew and Megan over the last 2 years and the service has been exceptional. From the very first appointment being really nervous and apprehensive all the way through to having the final appointment which was cosmetic I couldn't have asked for a better, more personal treatment plan. I look forward to 6 monthly checkups with Andy and Megan. Positive experience: Very helpful and courteous staff at reception. They seem to have good knowledge of dental procedures and how long is needed between one process and the next. I have confidence with my dentist, who explains everything well and his work seems to have been very good.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first rate dental practice. They replaced an old crown (on a 1980's steel post) that my current dentist didn't fancy doing. I'm so pleased that I went there and was recommended by a work colleague who also had a very good experience. Andrew Prichard was exceptional - he is highly skilful and competent dentist. He has the knowledge that there was always a 'plan B' (not that in my instance I needed it) but it was always reassuringly there. The end outcome was first rate. The whole experience is complemented by an exceptional reception team who are as obliging as possible and do everything they can to fit you in at the earliest opportunity. Well done and many thanks!

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Cost me the best part of a grand to find out they didn't want to do the work I require. (£43k estimate for full implants). This isnt a critisism of the clinical care per-se, but the management of the practice, who just seem to want to book me in for unrequired check-ups and tooth cleaning. AVOID!!!! Now I have to find a new dentist, again!

Fantastic experience: Having been to the Old Church Dental Practice and having always been worried by attending dentists, this group of specialists really do take that dread away. Moazzam is a real dental artist, kind and caring and the finished tooth is a work of art. Thelma is also kind and caring and a real specialist. Having had root canal treatment her work is precise and painless a real gem. In general, all team members are polite, always courteous and wanting to put you at your ease.

Fantastic experience: After breaking my tooth I was able to get a same day appointment which was great. Andrew Pritchard was fantastic. I was very nervous having previously suffered from oral paraesthesia but he talked me through the anaesthetic and was incredibly supportive and did a great job repairing my tooth. All the staff at the practice were incredibly friendly and helpful which really eased my nerves after all the problems I encountered previously. I was really dreading going to the Old Church but was relieved the service was exceptional!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly practice and calm experience, from the reception team to the dentist and their assistants, they have background music on in the rooms during your appointments, explain what they will be doing during the appointment as they are doing it along with the costs involved before you attend. Overall a better experience than the norm and would recommend to friends.

Fantastic experience: I have accompanied my mum to the Old Church for several years and their customer service is always superb. It’s a beautiful building, immaculate inside with a calm atmosphere. Each member of staff is so warm and welcoming they immediately put you at ease. I have never been to a more friendly practice where everyone is helpful, chatty and show genuine interest in their patients. My mum is very happy going there and looks forward to her regular visits as they treat her with the utmost care and respect.

I have seen two of the dentists at the practice and both are amazing at what they do, not only in terms of the quality of their work but also makes a refreshing change to have all options explained fully to be able to make an informed decision. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Jennifer Noone for a complex failure of an implant which was fitted elsewhere. I had already faced 3 hours of surgery and the previous dentist recognised that I needed greater expertise. The treatment I received was considerate. I was kept informed of the alternatives at each stage and a very difficult precedure was executed with as little pain and discomfort as possible. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been registered here for years and have never had a bad experience. My young sons look forward to their regular check-ups with Andrew who is wonderful at putting them at ease. My last two appointments with Hazel (the hygienist) have been a god send! I’d developed an unsightly granuloma during pregnancy but one visit with Hazel and it had cleared up within hours. More recently I’d become very self conscious about the appearance of my teeth. I think using a strong whitening toothpaste had actually had the opposite effect leaving them very stained and discoloured. I couldn’t believe the difference after they’d been professionally cleaned - she quite literally put the smile back on my face!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. The practice itself is in a beautiful church building, it's modernised but has all the orignal key features (arches and stained glass!) seamless integrated. It's always clean and presented to a high standard. The reception staff are so lovely and welcoming every time. I had a fear of dentists for years but they always put me at ease and make everything stress free. My dentist (shout out to Mo!) is amazing. He is clear about everything that is going to happen in an appointment and makes sure you're okay at regular intervals. I couldn't ask for anything more from them as a dental practice.
