Fantastic experience: Dentist Sanjana Nayar and her dental nurse were fantastic! My daughter had such a positive experience at her appointment. The dentist was gentle, patient, and made her feel relaxed while explaining everything clearly. The dental nurse was friendly and supportive throughout. A wonderful, caring team — highly recommend!
Negative experience: I booked an NHS dental check up,the only available appointment was in 9 months. Having booked the appointment I get emailed from Ipswich Road bupa dental surgery saying this a appointment needs to be cancelled as the dentist has left the practice. Nearly 3 months later and I'm still awaiting an appointment, every time I phone I get the same answer, we haven't replaced the dentist yet we are still interviewing ,we will be in touch. Even the generic email, you are overdue for you check up has now stopped, something the reception told me they can't stop this message and have no control over it. So Nearly 12 months without a dental appointment. As we all know dentist Idon't get big bucks working on NHS patients, I feel that Colchester bupa dentist is trying to make us NHS patients go private, with maybe a handful of NHS patients to forfill any quoter . I have contacted bupa head office who advised me to make a complaint. I believe this is a lot better to make my point.

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say what an amazing nurse and dentist I had today I cannot credit them enough for there patience and kindness towards me I really struggle going to the dentist due to my anxiety and they made me feel so much better the dentist took me through everything she was doing honestly couldn’t have asked for any better service have been here since I was a child amazing people here :) and a massive thank you to the nurse ANNA and the dentist SANJANA. Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Sanjana Nayar for a filling which was causing me some discomfort. This was my first visit with this practice and the customer service was exceptional. Sanjana put me at ease as a nervous patient and was very professional and gentle, giving me breaks to make sure i was okay. Her nurse Ana was also very lovely and supported me through the treatment by holding my hand and updating me throughout. Reception were friendly and got me booked in for an appointment very quickly. Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience: I recently had an NHS check up with Ash followed by hygienist appointment with Rebecca. Both ladies are great at their jobs and help to keep me calm as I do get extremely anxious having TMJ. They offer rest breaks and Ash uses a block for resting my jaw during fillings. Rebecca has been my hygienist for many years now and I could never change to anyone else. She has given me great advice on what works for me getting to those hard to reach areas and is very gentle not to weigh down my jaw. The reception team are always lovely upon greeting too.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined this dentist and had a very relaxed initial examination with Dr Shiraz and Skye. Dr Shiraz made me feel very comfortable and helped settle any nerves I had. He came up with a cost effective treatment plan and explained everything. As well as this I was able to get a same day hygienist appointment with LJ and her assistant who were also very friendly and made my teeth look brand new! I would definitely recommend this surgery if you're looking for a prompt and professional service.

Fantastic experience: I had the first appointment today to have a tooth prepared for a crown and have been so anxious in the lead up. I explained how I felt when I arrived and Mustafa & Terri were amazing. They completely put me at ease and the whole process, even including the injection, was comfortable & completely pain free. Mustafa talked me through each stage, letting me know what was happening, how long drilling would take, how long the impression would stay in etc which really helped. Fantastic experience: My elderly Mother had a broken tooth, she was given an emergency appointment the next day. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we weren't able to get an NHS appointment but the dentist Chandni and the nurse assisting were just lovely. They were kind, gentle and very patient with my Mothers very poor hearing and mobility. They made it all a lot less stressful. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't thank Dr. Naveed and Tiia enough for making me feel so comfortable during my appointments. Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to Sabawoon , he's assistant plus he's 2 other colleagues in taking their time to help our Autistic son with his chipped tooth. They took their time and were very patient with our son. They asked us and our son what sort of treatment we wanted so he filled the tooth and told us everything that he was doing.

Fantastic experience: Do I hate dentists, yes. Was I worried and anxious, yes. Broken tooth kept being infected and could not be saved so had to come out, my appointment was with Mustafa and Anna. Both put me at ease, talked to me, calmed me down and tooth was out in less than 3mins. Would I recommend it, if it has to be done then yes and try to ask for them both as they are a great team and really nice people. Thank you so much. Peter

Fantastic experience: Lovely people really friendly environment. I had Naveed and Tiia in my appointment yesterday. The appointment was very efficient and they both seemed so confident in their ability it put me at ease. I had no pain considering I had left with stitches because of the procedure I was having. Dentists used to make me nervous but since coming here I know longer have that at all.

Negative experience: Eye wateringly expensive - don’t know what the cost is going to be until the procedure is finished. Once done have to pay up whatever they ask. Nobody takes on NHS patients so have to go private. Very disappointed

Negative experience: Dental appointment cancelled twice, hygienist appointment cancelled and not available any time in the near future. I find this very unprofessional. Moving to a different dental practice as private patient.

Fantastic experience: I had my tooth ,extracted and I was terrified, but dr Yusuf Patel was wonderful and the dental nurse held my hand and they did a painless procedure thank you very much, not afraid anymore I will be going back
