Fantastic experience: A wonderful around Dentists Dr Riaz saved my life by spotting a lump in my throat and realising it was cancer .He sent me straight to my doctor and they sent me to the QE.. where it was diagnosed a T3 larynx cancer..So a big thank you to him and his team.. without them god knows where i would be now . What a great dental practice it really is. Ive been going there for over 20 years and never had a complaint.

Negative experience: Poor communication when booking apointment, told me it was 49.99 total for everything and ended up being 100 to clean teeth. No mention of any patient plans Recptionist did not have any empathy and thought i was a theif. On the brightside the dentist was great.

My son’s filling was done with great results and a fine finish where the filling isn’t even noticeable. She was great with my toddler and baby during the check up and very reassuring. Reception admin are very efficient in get patients registered and very friendly. A great dental practice who take pride in serving their patients.

Fantastic experience: Truly Compassionate and Professional Care from Dr. Shazia After a really bad experience at a previous dental practice, I delayed getting help for the excruciating pain I was experiencing. The pain started to affect my daily life, but I was so anxious that I kept putting it off. By the time I visited Henry Road Dental Practice, I was honestly terrified — especially when I was told I needed a tooth extraction. I didn’t want the procedure to go ahead because of how nervous and upset I was. That’s when I met Dr. Shazia, and I can honestly say she completely changed my perception of dental care. From the very beginning, she was calm, kind, and incredibly understanding. She took the time to talk me through everything, reassured me constantly, and made sure I felt as comfortable as possible throughout the whole process. She could clearly see how distressed I was, but her gentle and professional manner put me at ease. The extraction itself was handled with so much care, and she kept checking in with me the entire time to make sure I was okay. I was amazed at how pain-free she made the experience. I returned for a second visit, and again Dr. Shazia was brilliant. She took the time to go through all the treatment options available to me, explained them clearly, and helped me come to a decision that felt right for me. I really appreciated how involved she made me feel in the process and how patient she was with my concerns. InshaAllah, I’ll now be able to go about my daily life without pain — something I genuinely didn’t think would happen anytime soon. Negative experience: Disappointing Experience I had a concerning experience at this dental practice. After my teeth cleaning, I noticed the results were not up to standard and politely raised this with the dentist. She initially agreed to proceed with my bite guards, and I waited two weeks, only to later be informed that the treatment had been cancelled. I was told this was due to my feedback, which was perceived as rude. I found the staff to be dismissive and unprofessional in handling the situation. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unheard and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this practice based on the service I received. A family member told me my teeth wasn't cleaned. The dentist and the staff that were on the desk were gas lighting us.

Fantastic experience: Had to have an emergency check up today as I am working away from home in Birmingham. This practice was the closest to me and I was able to be seen within the hour. I received an excellent professional service by the resident dentist who gave me a clear explanation of what had happened after taking an x-ray and discussed clearly the options available for me both privately and on NHS, giving me time to make an informed decision with my local practice. Negative experience: The dentist was alright but the receptionist was so rude and arrogant. She did not speak to me properly and would not even answer any of my queries properly. I left confused and dazed. Not gonna go back there for my second session as their receptionists need to do better.

Fantastic experience: The service at Henry Road Practice was outstanding, thanks to Dr A Riaz and his team. I arrived at 9am for my appointment and was seen straight away. After having my filling done, Dr A Riaz advised me to have a cap to protect my filling. He guided me through the options and took his time explaining the pros and cons of the procedure. I went ahead with the treatment and was very pleased with the results. I will definitely be back for more treatment in the near future. Thank you once again.

Fantastic experience: would give 10 stars if i could! booked an emergency appointment the night before through emerdency, turns out the awful experience i had at marston green dental practise caused a nerve infection and i needed root canal treatment. my dentist was so lovely and talked me through everything step by step. was very nervous about injections but he ensured it went so smoothly that i couldn’t even feel it! could not recommend enough, he knows how to treat people like real human beings - thank you so much!

Positive experience: The dentist seemed professional and I have got an emergency appointment just as quickly as I needed. But I have to change my review as I know I said other dentist done an x-ray and said no tooth piece left in the wound well, next time better to double check it too as I did not improved over the weekend but had a diagnosis so I was about until Monday I will flush it out fow myself with stronger corsodyl and when I did a big piece of bone I have washed out. After I started to improve, maybe if the dentist would flush it out as well when I was there would come out before and would have saved me from kore suffering. But at least infection picked up and got a treatment for that so it hasn't worsen. Thanks anyway just next time be more extensive.

Fantastic experience: I have been here five times and each time I have had the best experience possible at the dentist. The dentist was very reassuring and I am a very nervous patient. I have had two wisdom teeth extractions both times the dentist put me at ease and removed them without any problems. More recently I have had two root canal fillings and my the dentist was wonderful he did both procedures and I didn’t feel any pain. Thank you for a brilliant service Henry Road dental!

Fantastic experience: I have some pretty bad dental anxiety and have been given bad information and experience from my previous dentists. But Dr Riaz motivated me and helped ease my anxiety through my tooth extraction. If you have some form of anxiety id highly recommend this dental practice, they know what they're doing.

Positive experience: Nothing but praise for the care shown by this practice. Had to book as an emergency before Christmas last year for an unexpected check prior to cancer treatment. As a nervous patient the care was great. Been back since for another check and he hasn't hesitated given my other health conditions to refer me to NHS hospital for more investigations rather than do work himself

The practice was accomodating when I couldn't find an emergency dentist for my young daughter, she had a tooth infection and Dr Riaz prescribed the appropriate medication and will see her soon for a follow-up. Dr Riaz is knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend any day.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but high praise for Henry Road Dental Practice, my experience was of a highly professional and organised practice, everything was explained from start to finish and any question was answered fully. I had a bad toothache and had to ring for an emergency appointment, I got to see a dentist on the same day and needed a full jaw X-ray to make sure that an extraction would not have any risk of nerve damage and the extraction took place the next day. 10 out of 10 from me.

Negative experience: Just had what I think is a quite rude experience. Called and was waiting on the "the person you're calling knows you're calling" part for a few minutes before having the call abruptly end. Called again and the receptionist picked up, asked to put me on hold and then after ten minutes on hold I very clearly heard the phone being picked up from and then put back into the landline cradle. Called again and had it immediately ended and then called a final time and after a few minutes ended it. 1 star from my experience today. Was trying to sign up to the dentist but had this happen so I this review isnt for the dentist as a whole.

Negative experience: I'm usually a fair person when it comes to reviews but definitely won't be coming back or recommend this place, would not give it 1 star even. Went through via Emerdency , appointment was late (30+ minutes) and dentist didn't really seem to care that much about treating properly, simple questions such as whether there was nerve damage or not weren't answered - what's the point of taking the x-ray and you are unable to tell. Dentist did note that there there is an infection, but honestly, felt like they were more concerned about prescribing antibiotics and hurrying along for £. Would also question the other reviews on this platform, as they do not seem to be from individuals that have that many reviews.

Fantastic experience: I am delayed posting this but I finally managed to leave a review. I had issues with a wisdom tooth and I was cared for with care and excellent professionalism. On both occassions when it was time to numb my gums the wonderful dental nurses let me hold onto their hands for comfort and reassurance (sorry didnt catch their names) and made me feel less nervous. Dr Riaz is an absolute amazing dentist who explained everything thoroughly and honestly. Hes fantastic. An incredible team. Thank you Henry Road Dental Practice. Fantastic experience: I came in through emerdency with an infection in my wisdom tooth and was very pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff and the empathy expressed by Dr Riaz and his dental nurse. I was referred the next day for my scans and within around a week they had completed the extraction. They accommodated my phobia of needles perfectly and throughout the whole process I felt like I was being listened to and cared for correctly. An excellent team I will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I avoided the dentist for 8/9 years due to a traumatic experience, until one day I couldn’t bare the pain, Adil assured me he would fix my issues and ensure I felt no pain, although reluctant I went with his promise. It’s safe to say I travel over 115 miles to see him twice a year and I’ve seen him 3/4 times since, ten out ten marks for everything but most importantly the service, thanks guys

The practice had new owners a few years ago and that is always a worry when you are used to your own dentist but I can honestly say that my new Dentist is a lovely, kind, friendly man. He explains everything to you and makes you feel at ease straight away. He is very patience when he knows you are a little bit nervous too. I would not go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Im not one to write bad reviews, but this ine had to be written because of the poor experience Ive had. Their policies and treatment of their patients is total nonsence. A few people told me about how bad this practice was before but i thought il give it a try due to it being the only dentist at the time that was taking on new patients and i regret it. My husbands appointment was cancelled some time ago and they wrote the wrong time down which was then written as a missed appointment. He was refused treatment after that even though he attended at the correct time and the receptionist made an error. The staff on reception are rude. On this occasion I was told I cannot rearrange my dentist app because i did not leave a voicemail when i was trying to cancell the appointment. Even though the voicemail does not state that a voicemail has to be left to rearrange an appointment. When I got through to someone, I explained that my baby was unwell and that i rang on several occasions to try and cancel and the phone was on voicemail. The 'practice manager Raveena' told me that even though i needed treatmebt she would not be rearranging despite the calls i made to try and cancel and i cannot be seen there now as i missed the app. I explained that i tried to cancel the app several times and couldnt get through and i can show them the evidence of the phone calls I made to the dentist to try and cancel. I was told rudely that I needed to leave a voicemail. I said that nothing on the voicemail said that i have to leave a voicemail otherwise i wont be seen at the dentist again. She had an 'i dont care attitude' and was rude and unsympathetic. She was clearly talking to the dentist in the background and baisically was trying to say its not her problem as i should have left a voicemail to cancel and that i need to find a new dentist surgery to get the tooth treatment i need. I didnt leave the voicemail as i wanted to get through to someone so i can re-arrange the appointment. I asked about their complaints procedure and told i can only complain to the practice manager (who was taking the call). She also wouldnt share the registering body details and was providing limited information about who i can step up the complaint to outside of the practice. When asked about the pals service for the complaint she had no idea who PALS were which is shocking considering that its an NHS dentist. Avoid this dentist unless u have no kids who get ill and no child emergencies which ever arise. They just care about charging the NHS for your treatment and not providing the treatment with their ridiculous in house policy which is clealy unfair and unrealtistic. Its clear they will charge Nhs for missed appointments and dont prioritise actually treating people. Its just all about profiting organisation. I will be taking the matter further with the NHS and pals service.

Fantastic experience: We have been registered with this practice for many years but it was my first visit to it with the new team running it few weeks ago. I was seen by Dr Shazia (sorry dont know the surname) and she was great. Very down to earth, explained every thing and she accommodated my request to have all treatment in one visit due to my busy work schedule. I now had the filling for over a month and I could not be happier. All the pain has gone and I feel more comfortable. I will 100% recommend the practice.
