All staff and friendly and kind, from the receptionists to hygienists, dentists and dental assistants. I have had a mix of work done on my teeth over the years and I have never had to worry as I know Hawkins will look after me.

Fantastic experience: I was given an emergency appointment for a tooth infection and was seen by the dentist who diagnosed that I needed a root canal filling. Fortunately an appointment was available for the procedure to be carried out the next day due to a cancellation. I duly attended and the procedure was carried out and I am quite satisfied with the result - so far.

Negative experience: All they care about is money. They charge so much more than everyone else and want you to do things which don’t need doing. They insisted on redoing a filling that was settled and fine for many years, because of a vague future risk - which instead led to the much greater and very present risk of them killing the nerve in the tooth - this led to a huge abscess developing after the filling. They failed to pick this up at a checkup 6 months later, they did not take swift action when it worsened to crisis point almost a year later (just sent me away with antibiotics that did nothing and told me they might be able to do something after Christmas) and ultimately I ended up in Birmingham Dental Hospital with early signs of Osteomyelitis. Finally got a root canal done elsewhere but even this may be too little too late. All in all this foolishness has cost me over £1000. Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Hawkins since I was 9 years old and I am now 46! Nothing speaks volumes than the longevity I have given this practice. Hawkins provides extremely high quality dentistry and customer service. The staff are extremely welcoming; with their main priority being that you always leave completely satisfied and happy with your ’smile’. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hawkins. My daughter has also been a patient since she was 3 and now she is 13. Having a friendly and safe environment is important, especially if you feel apprehensive about stepping into a dentist.

Negative experience: Asked Receptionist if I could have an xray which costs £59. She asked one of their Dentists.No I had to join for a fee of £50. They advertise their treatment costs.Waiting room completely empty. Refused me an xray. Considering place was empty can they afford to turn down an xray for £59?, It appears so.Not happy at all.

Fantastic experience: Found this practice very efficient and professional from the Reception through the Dental Nurses to the Senior staff. Had lots of work on my lower jaw by Prosthodontist Dr Mark Lester which has been excellent. Losing teeth is never a pleasant experience but Mark made it bearable. The new teeth he has supplied me with are very good indeed. Will definitely recommend the Practice and Mark to others

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a number of years (minus covid) and they’ve restored my faith in the dentist. Having had a brace as a teenager and an experience that wasn’t great they have made me feel munch more relaxed about routinely seeing the dentist and hygienist. The team are so friendly and instantly put me at ease from arriving at reception, check up, treatment and booking next appointment. My last visit, the hygienist was fab helping explain to me how I can improve my oral hygiene (having missed appointments because of covid and needing to get back on track) If you’re nervous about the dentist this is the place to come

Fantastic experience: I starting coming to the dental practise when I was 12 or 13 and I am now 65. In that time as you can immagine I have seen a number of changes to staff, treatment as well as from NHS to private and have always also been treated in a friendly but proffessioal way. They keep up to date with new procereders and techniques ensuring you get the best advice and treatment for your particular needs. Yes, the prices are on the expensive side but for the quality, service and treatment you receive its well worth it and you can be assured you will not receive a better treatment anywhere else. As you can see I have been coming here for over 50 years, would I be still here if it wasn't excellent.

Fantastic experience: Waking up with agonising toothache, needing a tooth out, we phoned at 7.55, answered by receptionist immediately. Advised that all time was actually booked but she would see what could be done. She phoned back to offer a 3 pm appointment with dentist Janki Solanki. Janki was friendly, helpful, respectful and competent; She carefullly reviewed all xrays and root infection information, a difficult extraction very competently performed and my anxiety well addressed. After care and advice competently handled. The Dental Nurse handled my disability and performed well, good teamwork. I always felt safe.

Positive experience: After several attempts to have a set of dentures made, and all being a complete failure, I decided to try private treatment. I decided on this practice for two major reasons. 1. Several good reviews on their website 2. Very local to my residence. Upon making an diagnose appointment I attended and was greeted with a nice polite and friendly receptionist and then was introduced to dental practitioner who listened to my problems and proceeded to examine me. After my examination all the options that were open to me were fully explained and discussed including costs for each of the options, procedures and time factors. After some thought I choose an option and am looking forward to be able to eat a decent meal without pain. Although the option is not cheap, I feel sure that they will succeed in giving me satisfaction. As stated, this was my first visit to this practice and first impressions were good.
