Negative experience: I was disappointed with my recent visit. The dentist Vijaya Laxmi came across as rude and dismissive, and I did not feel respected as a patient.

Negative experience: Vijaya Laxmi has terrible service. She is a very rude woman. I do not recommend her. No one should go to her for dental services.

Negative experience: I initially wrote a positive review for this practice but since moving to a different dental practice I’ve come to realise how bad this place is. I used to go every year for a check up and teeth clean at the end of the year. I have incredibly sensitive teeth and I used to be in absolute agony when the dentist was cleaning my teeth, it left me absolutely terrified of a simple teeth clean, and I was always made to think it was my problem for having sensitive teeth. Went to the new practice I signed up to and when they cleaned my teeth I didn’t feel a thing, so what does that tell you? I also felt like they were telling me I needed a filling every year to rinse me of money because I was easy to take advantage of with being a nervous patient. Went from having zero fillings to needing one each year? The dental nurses were always quite rough and clumsy no matter which one I had. I’d avoid this place if you can, I’d have such anxiety when it came time to getting my teeth cleaned and it got to the point where I was always on the brink of tears going in. Luckily my new dental practice is very patient and are working to undo the fear this place has given me around dentists

Negative experience: My husband was charged £135. For a 3 minute check which included a 3 second grinding of one tooth. Extortionate price for a pensioner.

Positive experience: Excellent service from Emma and the team.They are always professional and keen to help patients. As im petrified of dentists, Meenal is very gentle and patient with me overall cannot wish for better care .

Negative experience: Arguably one of the worst dental places I’ve had the experience of dealing with. Initially went in due to a cracked and infected tooth, the dentist I initially had compacted the tooth because she thought the nerve had died, realised it hadn’t and panicked and jabbed me with an emergency local anaesthetic. After compacting it this put enormous pressure on my tooth, causing considerable pain (I paid £90 for this). She booked me in for a root canal 4 days later with my actual dentist to my surprise not booking enough time in. Therefore I was going to be turned away until I forced them to do something due to the pain. Had an advised root canal with less than 60% success rate and of course it failed. Nearly £1,000 spent down the drain and had the cheek to charge me to get rid of it. I’ve now left it and caused me no end of trouble with painful, bleeding gum problems. Have seen another private dentist and they have even told me to submit a claim to the dentist board for negligence. AVOID!!!

Negative experience: Every single appointment no matter what time of the day thy are always running late. 9 o'clock in the morning your lucky if yo have been seen by 9.30. You have already had the decency to arrive 10 minutes early but still sitting waiting.

Negative experience: Removed me from there books as I called this morning for an emergency appointment as my filling has come out won't see me at all, the prices to go private are ridiculous £125

Negative experience: I initially called in May to register as an NHS patient and was given an appointment that same month. However, when I arrived, I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled without any prior notice. I was then made to wait until July for a new appointment. Just two hours before the rescheduled appointment, I received a phone call telling me that I would need to be seen privately or I wouldn’t be treated at all. In the meantime, I suffered through two dental abscesses and had to pay for NHS emergency treatment. When I attended the practice, I even confirmed with the receptionist that I was registered as an NHS patient, which she acknowledged — yet this apparently made no difference to the dentist. To be misled, ignored, and left in pain despite being an NHS patient is a disgrace. AVOID!

Negative experience: Never again I'm a nervous patient and the dentist was so awful.He gave me anesthetic which when he called me back in hasn't worked so another 3 needles later and still feeling very nervous he extracted my tooth.i would rather pay private then go through that experience again.

Negative experience: Been trying to join this dentist for 9 months and it's just awful I can't afford to pay private and it's the closest one and I've had to suffer. They say there are no availabilities for NHS patients I've heard this for 11 years from dentist. And these are no different I wouldn't recommend for anyone.

Positive experience: I had severe toothache and called the Queensferry Dental Surgery for an emergency appointment after some review I was given an appointment for the following day. I attended the appointment and my dentist Mr Mahmood identified the issue and managed to save the tooth by filling the offending area. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and professional

Positive experience: One morning, I was horrified to find what I thought was exposed bone caused by receding gums. I emailed my dental practice for Advice and two hours later somebody rang me up to offer me an appointment the next day. I was seen, treated and reassured for a relatively minor problem. The only reason I have not given five stars is that I had to wait more than half an hour past my appointment time to be seen. Very happy Customer.

Negative experience: Had an appointment with Vijaya laxmi she was horrible! As soon as I walked into the room she began to shout at me because I didn’t book an appointment last year to get a tooth took out and I proceeded to tell her I didn’t due to money issues she didn’t care and continued to shout at me and then also had a go at me for having my check up 2 months late!! She made me cry and shown no remorse! If I could put a formal complaint in I would. But thankyou to the lovely receptionist who understood my anger and rebooked me in for another dentist hopefully this other one will be a lot nicer!

Negative experience: Had a tooth extraction without pain relief working properly. I told the dentist I could feel everything, because I was a nervous patient they blamed it on me. Absolutely shocking the way I was treated and have been made to feel. Never ever again I'd rather pay private than step foot in this place. I had a phobia to begin with but now it's even worse! Nobody should be in that much pain while having that procedure done in 2024 it still haunts me now. Absolutely shocking!!

Fantastic experience: I've had 1 previous emergency appointment through 101 here and was a pleasant experience, I decided to put myself on the waiting list and 2 years later I've been took on. I went for my 1st appointment today for a check up and I was very pleased with how nice all the staff are, also they went above and beyond for my check and informed me with there findings with alot of detail so I understood. I also brought my 2 and a half year old son for his 1st appointment and they were absolutely great with him! I would definitely not go anywhere else! 5

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say that Vijay is probably one of the best dentists I’ve ever seen! I had a tooth out and she knew how scared I was but she put me at ease, she was so lovely and re assuring and talked me through the whole procedure! The reception staff and manager are also lovely and very re assuring!!

Negative experience: Had to take time off work and struggled with the parking so was 10 mins late to an appointment, i apologised (this has happened in the past as my dentist only seems to work when im in work- its never been an issue before and ive explained times when ive booked in) to be told "ill see if he's got time to see you" and then get turned away- i spend more time in the waiting room than i do sat in the actual chair being looked at but they couldn't spare the 10 minutes it would have taken. Mind you this same dentist is on average 40 minutes late whenever you're waiting for your appointment- Damn near Every. Single. Time. People turning up after you and being seen before you- but thats okay....

Negative experience: Unprofessional staff, rescheduling the appointment with months. Waste of time and very very expensive service. And we've been with a private service not NHS. Don't blame NHS for your lack of professionalism

Negative experience: Initially provided a very friendly service, however, a filling lasted only 8 days before falling out and they had no accountability for their poor work. Whilst not providing a refund was understandable, they didn't even offer an apology. Avoid.

When I had to seek help through NHS 111, I was directed to My Dentist and to Mr. Lucke. He checked my mouth and alleviated the pain. So impressed with the service and care, I have since registered with My Dentist and to Mr. Lucke. Thank you for the care.

Fantastic experience: It is a lovely Dental Practice, and the staff are very friendly. They make you feel welcome and at ease. The Dentists are OK as well (ha ha). Only joking. In both recent cases, in February, they were emergency appointments. I was seen very quickly by Mr Lucke, who did excellent remedial work on my teeth. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: This is a very good dental practice. I rang up after a crown came off and they told me to arrive the same day and within 15 minutes of arrival I was leaving with all work done. Given that everyone says you cannot get an appointment with their dentist this was not the case for me. The staff are friendly and professional. The Dentist Mr Lucke is friendly and listens to concerns and is extremely professional. I have been with them for more years than I care to remember but the service is consistently excellent.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff from the receptionists to the dentist and assistant in the rooms were incredible at helping my daughter who was very scared and in a lot of pain. They saw us as soon as the problem arose and worked hard to find a solution that could alleviate her discomfort as soon as possible. The dentist and assistant made a point of checking in with her during and after all of the treatment, to make sure she was feeling OK. The receptionists made a fuss of her after it was all over. We couldn't have wished for a better or more compassionate service. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was seen at a moment’s notice which was something of a life saver given how much pain I was suddenly and completely unexpectedly in, following a few ‘vague suggestions’ over the weekend. I was advised to turn up and wait it out in the waiting room - which initially made me anxious and hesitant (how do you hold your head and groan with pain when you’re sat with strangers?) But I needn’t have worried - I was taken in after only a few minutes (of admittedly silent traumatic agony) and numbed before being sent back out to wait to be called back when a proper, longer slot was available. Best feeling ever (at the time) sat there looking like Quasimodo and completely pain free. Classic first aid before getting the fillings I needed. In this instance the Gladstone dental team (all of them) were excellent and relieved me from what felt like a crisis!

Negative experience: On the day, I was asked to pay extra for an appointment I had already paid in advance in February. I get people are asked to pay in advance, due to cancellations. However, when I paid in advance we agreed a price (it was a contract) and it is outrageous to put me in an uncomfortable position asking me to pay more. What if i didnt accept the future price when i originally paid? You should have just charged me more for future appointments. At the very least you should have called me to warn me. I will be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment, was seen Monday afternoon, and then the following morning. I had a nerve removed due to an abcess on my gum. The dentist Jonathan Lucke did a superb job. When you go to a dentist for a check up and clean you take them for granted. But when you go with with a problem you realise their skill on intricate dental work. I had an excellent experience which took about 40 minutes. Great work from Jonathan Lucke and his assistant. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. A wisdom tooth snapped and I was so scared that they would remove it that I’ve put up with the pain and discomfort for about 6 months. I was referred here by 111 today as the pain had become unbearable. I was so frightened going in, as you only ever hear horror stories about wisdom teeth. The dentist told me that it was coming out today and then gave me no time to panic. He was so lovely and reassuring. Only slight discomfort for a few seconds, when the second lot of anaesthetic went in. The huge wisdom tooth was removed without feeling a thing. All that pain and worry for months gone. Fabulous dentist, added my name to the waiting list on my way out!!

Fantastic experience: Honestly amazing I was seen by Alexandru Tirca today for a broken back tooth extraction and I was so scared because of how broken it was ect and himself and his assistant were both amazing it was so quick and painless I was shocked and would highly recommend going to My Dentist in Queensferry to anyone even more so if your scared of Dentist like I was. Negative experience: I have been with this practice 24 years it has gone down hill rapidly since Mr Brown left.. I seen a lady called geisha last year it took her 3 attempts to fill one tooth. Then she cleaned and polished my teeth which bled for 3 days afterwards. Just rung the practice now for my 12 month check up the receptionist was abrupt and argumentative.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Sylvia enough she was amazing with me. I have an irrational fear of dentists, she calmed me and spoke to me all the way through lovely lady. The assistant whose name I can't remember was really good too talking to me and keeping me calm .

It was good to feel that the treatment I needed was important and to be asked how I felt about it. Negative experience: First I was told we would have to wait 6 months for an appointment, then 12 months, now its a year and a half down the line. I called up to see if we were getting any closer, at which they claimed my daughter was no longer on the waiting list as they had shut the books! When asking why they would waist a year and a half of my time the receptionist gave incredibly vague answers. When we signed up my daughter was 16 years old now she is 18 and having to pay £2000 for braces she should of had for free on the NHS. This is truly disappointing and in fact immoral.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, from getting an emergency appointment, to the very friendly and helpful girls in reception, to the dentist who really put me at ease and talked me through the process of having my tooth removed due to an absess. Definitely recommend this practice if like me you are worried about going to the dentist.

Negative experience: Firstly, glad to be seen in the present climate. But, I went apprehensively as both my partner and myself felt we had our mouths ‘butchered’ by the ‘new’ dentist who had replaced the lovely Mark Entwistle. Vijaya we were both fearful of returning to - after years of wonderful dentists. All I got today was we can’t do that! She offered to simply grind down the edges of what remained of a tooth supporting a Crown which had come away! Offering to to remove a crown in the front at a cost of £250. I repeatedly asked that she reattach the crown I had with me. And she repeatedly said, It can’t be done! Well, it was done by a previous dentist & it lasted for some years! After our previous visit, we wondered if she was put there to close the Practice! Her manner, attitude and execution of her dentistry must change! For we will both never be going back. Your patient support email does not appear to work!

It Cost my £10 each way to get there for a 3 Month Check up to find out that the nhs hygienist has left and to be seen by a dentist would be a private dentist and would cost me £50. Why cant you keep your customers informed about changes a week before their appointments
