Fantastic experience: Our 13-year-old son had a highly complex dental case. His upper teeth were extremely narrow, forming a V shape at the front, and two canines were misaligned, positioned behind the other teeth. To make matter worse, he also had an underbite. When consulting with an orthodontist regarding traditional braces, we were told that we would need to wait until he turned 16 for his jaws to fully develop. Additionally, two back teeth would need to be extracted to make space for the canines. Faced with the prospect of waiting three more years, followed by two years of invasive treatment, we decided to explore alternative options. We discovered Invisalign and were immediately intrigued. After scheduling a free consultation, we were thoroughly impressed by Dr. Sheila Chauhan. She provided a comprehensive explanation of the treatment plan and, while she could not guarantee a complete correction of the underbite, she assured us that Invisalign would significantly improve the alignment of his teeth and reposition the canines. We are now 11 months into the treatment, and the results have been nothing short of miraculous. His upper and lower teeth are nearly straight. The individual aligners have gradually widened his teeth from the back, creating space for the canines. We still have 10 aligners to go, but not only are his teeth almost perfectly aligned, his underbite has also resolved. The entire process has been seamless. My son can remove the aligners while eating, preventing food from becoming trapped as it would with traditional braces, and the aligners are almost invisible and pain free. Dr. Sheila Chauhan and her team have been incredibly supportive, and we could not be happier with the progress so far. While the treatment may seem costly, it is worth every penny and provides lifelong benefits. If we had to make the decision again, we would not hesitate, as the value provided is truly priceless.

Negative experience: I love my new smile and found the reception staff and dental assistants very helpful and kind. However, Dr. Chauhan came across very rude during an event in my treatment. I was due to have a nurses check in to ensure I was happy with my aligners, but instead had the removal appointment booked. When I arrived and said I wanted to continue more treatment as my teeth were not how I wanted them, Dr. Chauhan was very rude and claimed I wasted an appointment and would likely be charged. I work in a GP surgery myself and understand the value of appointment times, however, it is normally due to unclear communication or contact regarding the appointment. Instead of addressing communication and scheduling errors on behalf of her team and looking into it, she came off very aggressive and unprofessional to not only myself, but also the two clinicians who were helping her. One of them apologized on her behalf after she abruptly left the room. I have since moved to treatment at another local dentist for further composite bonding and retainer care for half the price quoted from smile 101. I would hope future errors are addressed internally and not as a blame to any patient, it was very off-putting. I would also hope that all staff, regardless of position, are treated with respect and not demeaned in front of patients.

Fantastic experience: I had been thinking about trying out Invisalign for a few years and couldn't be happier that I finally went for it. The process went pretty smoothly and I really appreciated that Dr Chauhan sat down with me and went over all the different treatment options and methods for closing the gaps between my teeth. I felt like I could make an informed decision and choose the best/most sustainable treatment for me personally. As long as you're consistent in wearing your aligners the results will be visible very quickly. Overall, the process took about 10 months for me, which I imagine is quicker than it would have if I'd worn braces. I had 35 initial sets of aligners and 15 additional refinement sets. Would highly recommend Smile 101 as Dr Sheila Chauhan and her team were incredibly professional, helpful and helped me achieve the smile I'd wanted since I was a teen.

For that reason I've decided to save more money and go for Invisalign where you have regular appointments and checkups during the treatment. It was worth every penny. I had regular appointments every 2-3 months, as well as virtual consultations with doctor Chauhan. Everyone at Smile 101 was very friendly and helpful. All together I had 55 aligners. I first met Dr. Chauhan before the pandemic, by that time she did offer a good advice based on my case. then the pandemic hit. By that time we were keep in touch and managed to make progress for my treatment. they do offer an AI system called dental monitoring which you don't have to visit the practice too often and they will monitor your progress remotely. If you prefer someone who can physically monitor your progress, will suggest you to speak with the team. they do emphasis on communication with their patient and they will check on you after you've completed the treatment. Unfortunately my retainer was broken within a year but the team will be happy to explain to you the cause of why it has broken and they will offer relevant support to you. talk to them and they will be happy to help

Positive experience: Front of house staff are really nice, absolute pleasure to deal with. I am happy with the way my teeth are now looking, although there are more gaps than I had anticipated, seeing the before and after picture show a big difference. The practice does not offer cosmetics such as composite bonding so any small tweaks will need to be done elsewhere. Would recommend :)

The process has been less painful than train tracks would have been. The Invisalign aligners have been easy to clean. Fantastic experience: I used to always receive compliments for my smile. It was a great asset until a couple of years ago when I started to develop a gap in my front teeth, which grew large quite rapidly. I didn’t think it looked good and since all compliments dried up I suspected that others may have thought so too. I became quite insecure about something that was so trivial and knew I needed to get braces and have it fixed. I had heard about Invisalign and contacted Smile 101 to book a free consultation. It was then that I was informed that my gap could be due to bone loss from periodontal disease and I would need to have that checked out first. I was mortified. I knew gaps could form as a part of the ageing process but I had no idea that there could be something worse going on. And, unfortunately, it was periodontal disease. What shocks me was that there were no signs like pain or bad breath. But the x-rays were clear that I had significant bone loss. Thanks to Dr Chauhan, I have had periodontal treatment (elsewhere) and am a few weeks into my Invisalign treatment at Smile 101! Had I not been sent to have a check up, I would have lost my teeth. Dr Chauhan and her team are highly professional and genuinely care about my well-being and my dreams of having my smile back. In fact, as soon as I put in my first retainer it camouflaged the gap and I already looked like my old self! I have been smiling ever since and my confidence has been boosted. The retainers are practically invisible but I couldn’t care if people could see them as long as my smile looks good. And it does! (Too bad about having to wear a mask all the time but I’m no longer insecure in zoom meetings or conference presentations)! I really do recommend smile 101, and Invisalign is definitely worth the investment.

Positive experience: My daughter has nearly finished her treatment of having braces and we have nothing but high praise for all the staff at Smile 101. They are always very friendly and welcoming, professional and very qualified in what they do. Although we weren't able to see them during the main lockdown they were excellent at keeping in touch and when we had a slight concern Dr Chauhan spent a good time on the phone to my daughter talking things through and reassuring her. My daughters main orthodontist Simone has been an absolute joy - she works so quickly but so thoroughly and is always ready to answer any questions. The admin staff again are efficient and very friendly always making us feel at ease. Once the surgery re opened they have set in place excellent covid precautions.

Fantastic experience: Decided to seek Invisalign treatment as my teeth had shifted quite a lot over the past 5-10 years and become pretty crowded. Visited a couple of orthodontist practices and chose Smile 101 for a few reasons: Firstly the Treatment Coordinator was really helpful and and knew her Invisalign stuff! Secondly, the practice has 3D teeth scanning technology which allowed Dr Chauhan to show me a simulated outcome at the first consultation. And lastly, Dr Chauhan was great at talking through the treatment process and my expectations. I’m now 8 months into treatment and my teeth are already pretty straight. Fantastic experience: Excellent service, highly recommended! I was a transfer case from US every other place in and around Guildford rejected me and asked to start from the beginning with them so they can make more money. Sheila did me a favour and she accepted me and did a wonderful job with completely different braces system than in UK with no history help from my US dentist. The staff is experienced and very friendly+professional. Saved me a good amount of money, Sheila is a superstar!!!
