Negative experience: Awful. Rude staff (nurses and reception) plus an aura of superiority about the whole place. Defo not a friendly and welcoming place you want to frequent when in pain looking for help / support

Negative experience: It is frustrating to find out I’ve been taken off NHS and designated as a private patient without any notification or warning. I’ve been attending St Paul’s since I was a baby myself and have 3 young children. A letter to inform me would have been appreciated. I don’t like the way this was handled and I feel I want take my private dental care to another practice as St Pauls seems to have changed a lot and this feels sly and underhand.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed the process of having a tooth implant at St Paul's. Given the complexity of the procedure, I can't believe how natural the new tooth felt after a matter of hours. I have been impressed by how Mr Tomes and the team have gone the extra mile for their patients through a challenging year; the protocols for attending appointments have been reassuring and the appointments themselves have been efficient without ever feeling rushed, with clear explanations and expectations set at each step. The technical skill shown by Mr Tomes and his dental assistants is incredible and whilst it wasn't always comfortable I was confident that I was in safe hands. I had some unexpected problems with the healing process but the extra work this required was carried out without question. I was pretty gutted when I lost the tooth and even more so when I found out how much the replacement would cost. A few months down the line and I am here as if nothing ever happened and feeling like I've got some real value for money! Thank you to all the team, from the administrators checking COVID status and reminding me of appointment times, to Mr Tomes and the dental assistants who carried out the surgery, for the hard work it must have taken to deliver this 5 star service in extraordinary circumstances. I couldn't recommend the practice more highly.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say it was outstanding. I called and spoke to the receptionist who was very polite and professional and made me feel at ease instantly. Upon arriving for my appointment with Dr Nick Tomes and His nurse Ellen I can honestly say I have never had the greeting I had from Nick. He immediately welcomed me to the practice and really felt like he meant it and wanted me there with him. During my whole appointment he constantly he explained what he was doing and it was never awkward he was the most personal and genuine dentist I have ever come across. I can not recommend this practice enough they go above and beyond to make you feel part of their practice. The treatment was as painless as can be and I honestly felt that every step of the way he genuinely cared how I was doing and tried to make it easy as can be! They were very up on COVID and the practice was very COVID secure with the staff ensuring that everyone is safe and you are as a patient. Top class and rare to find such talent locally you expect this care from a high end dentist in park lane London!!! Thoroughly recommend!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Have been visiting newton abbot dental for a couple of years doctor chris callinson is my dentist,he is great,very kind,puts you at ease and i can honestly say no pain at all,the whole practice has amazing friendly staff and i never worry about attending the practice.please,if you fear the dentist, DON'T .they are so wonderful.

Fantastic experience: So pleased with the excellent care and treatment I received. Would definitely recommend St Paul's Dental Practice. All the staff were wonderful. I am not even a regular patient, but knowing it was an emergency situation, when I called late in the afternoon, they were able to book me in for first thing the following morning. The Dentist took time and care to explain everything to me, and did a great job removing my tooth. Couldn't fault them. How all dentists should be! We will be definitely be moving to them for our dental care.

Fantastic experience: I totally felt safe at St Paul's dental practice and protected. And everything was explained to me what hygienist was going to do. and the hygienist kept asking if I was OK.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend St Paul's enough. Always amazing care and service. First week of lockdown had problem with jaw. Phoned and was given advice by St Paul's dentists. They then proceeded to check up on me throughout lockdown until I could be seen. Felt very safe whole time I was in there. In fact apart from the masks didn't feel any different from a normal appointment. Staff always friendly, helpful and reassuring. Staff credit to Nick.

Fantastic experience: During lockdown I suffered from a number of tooth issues and with superb care, thought and efficiency I was treated by the amazing team at the surgery and my issues started to settle down. After lockdown, and once the practice was able to see patients again, I was swiftly contacted and seen without hesitation. Great team, fantastic service with an authentic air of real and genuine concern for their patients.

Fantastic experience: Mike Hyatt I became a patient of Nick Tomes at St Pauls Dental Practice in 2004 when we moved to Devon . The care received has been 1st rate on all levels from the dental work to making you feel at ease. I recently elected to have fairly extensive dental implant work done. Fantastic experience: I broke a Molar during lockdown so called the Emergency number and was given some great advice. Then a week before the Dentists reopened I received a call with an appointment. I was given very clear instructions on how to attend the practice and was dealt with very efficiently and professionally. All the staff were wearing PPE and it felt very safe, which was very impessive seeing it was their first week of opening since the Covid 19 lockdown. In summary, the service and care was first class.
