Recently had a complex issue with a dental implant with no easy solution, however Warris went above and beyond in researching methods and tools to resolve it. Fantastic experience: For many years I've been petrified of going to the dentist due to me getting married I had to do something about my fear. I can not thank these guys anymore then what I have done the time effort and care they give is amazing reassurance I got was to the best standards also the rush to get me and my smile ready for my wedding pushing me in for appointment just to make sure it's all correct my teeth my smile looks and feels amazing what a team they have here wouldnt recommend anywhere else.

Negative experience: I visited Barry Rimmer many years ago who did lots of unnecessary work on my teeth, has inflicted over 20 years of pain on me. This is the worst dentist I have ever visited. If I could change anything in my life, it would be not to visit this dentist

My friend had always spoken highly of this practice and having had my initial check up, first course of treatment and a visit to the hygienist, I am delighted to recommend the team unreservedly. On entering, the receptionists provide a warm welcome and are knowledgeable and helpful. That friendly, efficient professionalism pervades the whole surgery. As a patient with many dental problems, Dr Patel conducted a thorough initial assessment, forming a clear plan of future work and explaining everything is great detail. The treatment I received was superb! Having attended two different dental hospitals in the past, this far exceeded both!

Fantastic experience: Great practice with excellent staff, always welcoming and friendly. Never had a good relationship with the dentists so my teeth were in a poor state, Waris and the team really took care of me. After a course of aligners and some implants I feel great about my smile again.

Negative experience: I went to this place for a root canal and I had two appointments there in which I got charged 125 each time he then proceeds to tell me he can't do the work I need done and then leaves this place is a waste of time and money I would not recommend going here for any dental work.

Fantastic experience: Waris and his team are amazing. So far I've been nothing but thrilled with what they've done for me. Within a month he has fixed a bunch of problems I was waiting months to have fixed at my old place. They're very patient and happy to answer questions you have or if you need a moment during the dental work theyll stop. They did my dad's teeth for him and I'm so glad I choose to come here to get my own teeth done.

Dr. Patel and his team are top class in every way. They are friendly, professional and empathic. Everything was "top notch". If I could give 6 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: I’m very picky about who is my dentist after having a bad experience as a teenager and after moving to Wigan a few years ago and set about liking for a new dentist and came across Waris and based upon the reviews decided he was the guy to take care of my teeth... needless to say I am SO happy I made that decision! If you are scared of this dentist then you need to come here! I genuinely don’t get scared at all.. even when I had two dental implants and two teeth out! Waris ensures you never feel anything and he even played Christmas music for me in August to put me at ease cos I said I love Christmas music! ( very personal and caring touch!) I would go as far to say that I look forward to my appointments now as the team are great and so friendly. You only get one set of teeth so don’t put off going to the dentist, it doesn’t have to be scary! Thanks Waris and the team for being so great!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this practice highly enough. From the moment I attended my first consultation I knew that I was in good hands. I needed extensive bridge work to replace a denture and other dental work before any procedure could begin. Dr Patel made sure I understood all of my options, the pros and cons before I made my decision. Dr Patels attention to detail and patient care is second to none. I am so happy with the outcome of my treatment.

Negative experience: Extra covid ppe charge is fine but new patients should be made aware of this. They say they do but I was met with unexpected charges. Went for first time check up (no hygiene) for 60 quid and then want me to pay another 60 for first time hygiene because it takes longer. So an extra £15 for this. They claim to be transparent about these charges. The new patient check up is on the website but new patient hygiene charge is not so be aware.

Fantastic experience: The best experience of dental work I have ever had, Dr Patel and his staff performed quality work providing full explanations and choices at all times, they allayed any fears I had and made a visit to the dentist non stressful. I would recommend this service especially to people who have are reluctant to visit the dentist, you will be surprised.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel undertook some work on some amalgam fillings I had since childhood and were badly in need of replacement. I was really impressed with his meticulous attention to detail both in terms of how he explained to me what he was going to do and how he performed the surgery. I am delighted with the results and it was completely pain-free. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this practice, I attended in 2020, probably the most difficult time to undergo dental treatment due to Covid. I wanted the old crowns on my top teeth which were unsightly, replacing but wanted a natural look and certainly not tippex teeth. I also had a course of teeth whitening on my lower teeth, Waris is an amazing dentist, he listened carefully and delivered exactly what I wanted. He explained everything in detail and was unbelievably patient. The whole team are lovely people and extremely professional. I have posted some before and after photos so you can see what a difference he has made. The finished result outweighed my expectations by miles.

Fantastic experience: Excellent from start to finish, I had composite fillings done on my front teeth and a mouth guard made to help with the grinding of my teeth at night. Made to feel at ease with excellent care from all at the practice.. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Always 5 star service when attending an appointment with Waris and the team. I had the full invisalign treatment with Waris which was always explained in great detail throughout. Following finishing the treatment and after a few months there was some movement however, Waris advised i could have another short term treatment to fix the movement at no extra cost due to having the full invisalign treatment.

Not only did Mr Patel carry out the most detailed examination he gave me several options for the best way forward making the results I could expect easy to visualise and understand. Fantastic experience: I lost a front tooth after unsuccessful root canal treatment at my usual dentist and needed to find a dentist who offered implant services. I found Waris and his team whilst researching on the internet. The whole Team certainly live up to the fantastic reviews already listed. I felt really 'well looked after' from the initial assessment to the actual fitting of the implant. The procedure for treatment was explained initially and at each visit and I felt confident throughout. Waris and the Team are very professional but still manage to provide a 'family-friendly' and supportive environment which was appreciated as I had not had experience of this type of dental surgery before. I am very happy as friends and family cannot identify which tooth has been replaced - so the outcome speaks for itself!! Thank you Waris and the Girls.

Fantastic experience: My experiences of Dr Patel and his team have always been that of professionalism and a very high quality of service. Dr Patel always gives advice, sometimes more than expected which is a nice surprise, rather than just the minimum an 'everyday' dentist would recommend. Fantastic experience: Excellent service and very professional. The whole team working here are friendly and helpful. Waris in particular is an excellent dentist who only recommends work if it needs doing, rather than making extra money out of you. I have had a variety of treatments, including implants and have been extremely happy with the results. The monthly Dental Plan on offer is great too to cover for annual check ups and hygienists plus a % off anything else. Waris always greets you with the biggest smile ever and makes you feel totally at ease. Our whole family use this Centre and would not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: One of my Crowns broke free and fell off my upper right rear molar. I visited Wigan Dental and Implant Centre and Dr. Patel told me the tooth that was under the crown needed to be extracted as it was rotten and broken. Dr. Patel told me that this extraction was technically a very difficult extraction. Today I went for my molar extraction, and from the start to the finish of the procedure, Dr. Patel was THE BEST!!! He explained everything as he went along, putting me at ease and there was absolutely no pain what so ever. Very professional!!! Thanks Dr. Patel.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend, Very professional and great service at a competitive price. My Story :) I got tired of seeing a different Dentist at my NHS Dentist, and after a few tries the 3rd NHS dentist gave up on my root canal but offered to do a dental implant. As they were all temporary dentists I declined the NHS/Private dentist who would charge me £2000 but would not be here to finish it! So into the world of Private dentistry, did my research found Dr Waris Patel at the Wigan Dental and Implant Centre: Great reviews, local and the price was very competitive to £1500. Went for my free consultation it was night and day to what I had been used to, appointment on time, he listened to my story and experience I asked his background and future a long time local guy who intends to stay so I was now very interested. For me someone who is going to be drilling or whatever needs to be done and I cannot see what is happening nor am an I expert so I need to trust and be confident in the person doing it. Happy to report that Dr Waris Patel is very enthusiastic about his profession and work, He took the time to explain what options I had (I went for an implant and learned that I did have other options including leaving a gap as it was at the back) Once the Pros and cons were explained and exactly what the options were I made the decision of what option to go with, for me the implant suited me best. The remnants of my NHS root canal did need removing (even I knew that it was killing me and it had broke below the gum line) However I was going on Holiday the following day and I was no longer in pain so I made the appointment for the extraction to be done on my return. Sure enough on Holiday in USA it flared up and was painful. Rang Dr Waris Patel he was in an appointment but rang me back as soon as it was finished, he advised me to see a US dentist and if needed the US dentist could do the extraction and he would pick it up from there. The US emergency dentist refused to do the extraction as apparently I have a long curved root and gave me pain killers to get over it until I returned home which I was OK with as I could continue with my Holiday. The reason for me mentioning this is because I was impressed he was putting his work to someone else for my best interest, confidence and trust now growing more. Anyhow returned home and Dr Waris Patel took lots of pictures X-Rays and sure enough I did have a long curved double root. The extraction was done, no pain but lots of wiggling and pulling and tooth removed. He then re-assessed my suitability for having an implant as at this point If I were not we had other options but I was good to go, I have a thick jaw apparently. So now I have full confidence and trust in the man and I am impressed with his skills, knowledge, sincerity and enthusiasm in his chosen profession. Again he explained the types of implants available and we selected the best one for me and we embarked on the process together. not to bore you with details, as I have gone on to long for a review but there are various stages of doing an implant with rest and healing between each stage. At every appointment everything was explained to me in terms of what and why he was doing it. So I am now the proud owner of an implant (one of my crunching teeth next to the back one at the bottom) and glad to report it is just like a normal healthy tooth, looks like one including the Gum around it and works like one. Should also mention that the whole team at the practice are very polite and professional. I don't normally write reviews but I was so impressed felt obliged to.

Fantastic experience: What can I say,Waris is a true perfectionist! I was having problems with a broken front tooth which I was very conscious of and also I had an upper palette which was causing problems when eating . In desperation I googled private dentists and the name that came up was Waris Patel,thank goodness. After reading the practice reviews,I booked an appointment and the rest is history as they say,I could not be more satisfied with the treatment and care that I received from Waris and all his wonderful staff. After seeing the results of my dental work,my wife has also now become a patient of Waris and she is presently halfway through her treatment plan and is delighted with the results so far. We will both continue in the future to visit Waris for our dental checkups,as we both feel confident and at ease when in 'the chair'. The two star rating is incorrect,it should read 5 STARS !!

Fantastic experience: Amazing, genuinely! I booked an emergency appointment with Waris 5 months ago after reading the reviews here. I was suffering from severe toothache which had kept me up through the night. Previously I'd had a bad experience with the last dentist I'd been to and hadn't been back to one for many years. During my first appointment here I just wanted the toothache dealt with and I was sceptical about returning for the remainder of the dental treatment plan that Waris had put together following an examination. Waris and his team have been great and every part of my treatment plan was explained well along with alternative options, costs, and risks. They're a friendly lot and have really looked after me well. Now 5 months later I'm incredibly relieved to have had the final part of my treatment plan completed! My teeth are a million times better and I'm going to continue with regular dental check ups here. I can't recommend Waris and his team enough! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I started my treatment with Dr Waris Patal to have invaslign in august 2016. I wouldn't recommend anybody else, he is such an in detail kinda person. Makes everything very clear. Makes you feel 100% comfortable, reasonable prices. I was so consious of my teeth at the beginning but with Waris' help my teeth are now in my eyes 'perfect' a year on. i love to smile now and its all thanks to him! Fantastic experience: I literally can't stop smiling! I used to be camera shy, painfully aware of my crooked teeth. Not only that, I suffered with constant mouth ulcers from regularly biting the inside of my mouth with a protruding canine. Waris spoke to me on a number of occasions about the possibility of braces and I decided to go ahead with Invisalign treatment. I am absolutely thrilled with the results and found the treatment to be pain free, convenient and people only realized I wore braces if I chose to tell them. The level of customer service and advice given are always to a very high standard, I have complete trust in the practice and highly recommend my Dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I came to this practice terrified, knowing that I needed dentures due to not looking after my teeth for years. My experiences over the years with dentists had left me extremely nervous. From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with respect and care. Admitting my fear wasn't difficult because I was shaking! Waris and his staff are amazing! They all worked with me, and helped me with my fear. When I started going, I found it hard to go, but now it is just an appointment. My denture fits wonderfully. I can eat normally, even biting apples! It looks fabulous. Fantastic experience: Prior to my appointment with Warwick, I felt like my life was over because of the damage to my teeth which had occurred some years earlier. I had been unable to summon up the courage to have my teeth repaired due to my confidence being non-existent. I eventually went to see Warwick after my friends and family pushed and encouraged me to do so. It was the best thing I have ever done. From the moment I met Warwick he made me feel at ease and gave me a feeling of calm which enabled me to relax and allow Warwick to commence his consultation with me in which he explained about the finance and the procedure for the dental work and because I was so scared he explained to me about the fact that sedation could be utilised. I did have sedation. I feel I have been really well looked after by Warwick and his team and although it took a long time in which I was treated extremely well and with the utmost consideration by Warwick and his team, I cannot thank everyone enough for giving me the beautiful smile I now have. Fantastic experience: Invisalign, I had this treatment done a couple of years ago know, after having braces has a kid that never worked I finally took the plunge and they worked a treat. The treatment took approximately 18 months with a new brace every 2 weeks which shows how wonky my teeth were. Please feel free to ask Waris to show you my before and after pics, Waris will also drum into you that you can't eat or drink anything apart from water while you're wearing your braces, this is a big bonus or at least it was for me because I soon got fed up taking them out if I felt like snacking and I ended up losing a stone and a half over the course of the treatment, winner !

I have used Waris for many years and when I moved to London a few years ago, I continued to use him as my dentist and I drive 3 hours each time I need to see him; this is because he puts me at ease, explains all my options but most importantly the treatment he does for his patients is exactly what he would do for his own family- the absolute truth because he cares! After several bad experiences in the past with other dentists when I had veneers fitted, I found the perfect dentist in Waris who replaced my veneers (I even traveled to the midlands to the 'dental passion' lab to have them color matched and shaped before fitting)- they are perfect now! Fantastic experience: As a dentist of 20 years myself... I am in a better position than most to judge quality and technical ability. I have reviewed patients he has treated and I've always been impressed by what I've seen....technically he is brilliant. In addition, he works with the best materials, the same ones I use and fantastic laboratories to deliver great results. These are issues that the general public will not have a clue about but they make a big difference... and unfortunately they do cost more! My confidence in him is so high that when I got tooth ache over the Christmas period, instead of seeing many local colleagues near me. I got in the car and didn't think twice about doing a round trip of 160 miles... he happily came away from a well earned break, on Boxing day, with a smile, to relive my symptoms... for which I am very grateful. I subsequently needed some additional work doing, which meant another 4 visits....I made the journey each time without regret. My treatment is now complete, all working well. Any further issues and i'll be going back. If you are considering dental treatment, anything form simple check ups to complex or cosmetic dentistry, I can assure as a fellow dentist....you will not go wrong with Dr Patel.

Fantastic experience: I came up to Whelley from London to have my cracked tooth/crown examined/treated by Dr W. Patel. Before conducting the examination Waris ( Dr Patel) talked me through what he thought had happened and what steps he was going to take to establish the cause and type of treatment options available. That meant i could start thinking about the choices while he was making an examination - really helpful when making a decison. After the option risks involved were explianed and a decision on a path of treatment was taken, Dr Patel proceeded with extreme care, ensuring that the entire experience was absolutely pain free and I was 150% happy with the result. Waris is an extremely talented and caring Dentist, which is only made better by the practice staff who work with him to provide the highest standards in dentistry treament. I'm only surprised to find i was able to get an emergency appointment so quickly, which i guess is another very good reason for considering this dental practice! I would reccomend this practice every time if you want the BEST results, even if that involves some travel, as this certainly wasn't an issue when you are looking after yourself.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the practise after chipping my tooth. Other dentists had flatly rejected fitting the chipped tooth back on. Dr. Patel acknowledged it was a difficult task, but was willing to give it a try. Not only did he restore the tooth, it now looks just like how it was before! I would recommend Wigan Dental and Implant Centre to any one whose looking for high quality dental work. They're professional, competent and extremely helpful.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant emergency treatment after I hadn't been to a dentist for a good few years. I'm sure the easiest patient Dr Patel has ever had, I was incredibly nervous at that first emergency appointment, however Waris managed to calm me down and get actually fix the gaping hole in my tooth. I have since gone back for further treatment and have a mouth full (too much sugar) of immaculately white fillings. You would never even know, as they are not visible. At each visit I was taken through exactly what was happening, each visit going more smoothly than the last.
