Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist can be worrying to say the least. These people are friendly and very professional and know what they are doing. I've experienced an extraction without any pain ! You cannot find better as part of your health-care. My thanks to the team.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Basin Road dentist for a few years now, & have always had a great experience… yes I know, “a great experience” at a dentist you might ask, well today I have had 2 teeth removed, the entire process was, & has been painless all day as I write at 8:30pm. Matthew and his team are top class professionals in the dental industry, professional, caring, calming & reassuring. Matthew explained the procedure fully, and was constantly caring for my comfort as he pushed & pulled his way against my 2 teeth. I can’t recommend Basin Road dental enough if you want high quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: I am a really really anxious patient but having got to know the receptionists and the dentist feel better about going. Still freaked out by every visit but the team is respectful of this and Hannah explains everything she is doing which helps. Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at this surgery for about 12 years and the whole team are great, so much so, other members of my family have also become patients. Umama is a brilliant hygieniest who has shown particular patience and care with my teenage son whose dental hygiene is still a work in progress. I'm also grateful to Matt & Sophie who have had to deal with my nervous ten year-old daughter having a filling and being a little more time-consuming than the average patient! We are temporarily living out of the area but do the drive back as I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Dental appointments for both myself and my children always go very smoothly indeed, and our needs are met with professionalism and kindness. I recently had to have a replacement filling. The whole procedure was carried out with the utmost of care and attention. The dental staff ensuring that I felt calm and comfortable with the process and I felt my treatment was completed to a very high standard.

I’ve never been a fan of paying to endure needle jabs and the ominous sound of roadworks in my mouth, but I have to be honest and say that I’m not discouraged from attending my regular appointments with Matthew and the Hygienist. Fantastic experience: Was on holidays in Chichester from Ireland and had need of dental care. Hannah and her team accommodated me and they fitted me in immediately. Extremely lovely staff . Thank you. 5 stars.

Negative experience: Received a letter saying my 2 year old would now have to pay a dental plan as they can now no longer offer an NHS service. The 4 times she’s been they’ve literally stuck a finger on her mouth then given her a sticker. Outrageous that I have to pay privately but I can accept that, but not my child. Shame on you Basin Road

Fantastic experience: I joined basin rd dental surgery today , had a new consultation and advice from Matthew Hartley , I'm terrible as get anxious, matthew and his assistant where brilliant ,and put my mind at ease , reception staff are welcoming ..looking forward to 3 weeks time . I think

Fantastic experience: I have always had a fear of the dentist and what with my reluctance to go, moving, and COVID I decided to be brave. I would absolutely recommend this practice for nervous patients. I have seen Matthew and my confidence has grown and I no longer feel fearful to go. I had 3 extractions, and nothing traumatic, as I trusted Matthew and have progressed from the necessary must have done treatments to cosmetic. Would have thought this unbelievable in the past.

Negative experience: Just received a letter saying no longer taking NHS patients for my child! I do love the way these letters are written it’s like they are doing you a favour!! The best bit which did make me laugh was, ITS WITH a Heavy heart more like heavy Wallet, we have decided to charge children for dental care which boils down to if the parents can afford it.. who’s going to be worse off the poor again, there’s already a massive problem with children teeth and that’s while it’s a free service for children, Wealth is health it seems in this country now which it has been for a long time for adults but it’s seems we’ve gone one better now and let’s get the kids to

Fantastic experience: Just wonderful! From the helpful and cheerful receptionist to the highly knowledgeable and friendly Dentist, nurse and hygienist, I came away with lots of useful tips and accessories to use at home. They seem reasonably priced which supports the impression I was given in the appointment that they genuinely care about their patients and not just the money side of it! I also came away with the giggles.. please invite me to your Christmas party : ) My new favourite Dentist for sure. I'm very anxious and she is just wonderful I have had and will have to have quite a bit of work done. In fact the nurses, receptionists etc are just wonderful. Negative experience: Absolute joke of a dentist surgery I tried to attend my appointment I made for today for my really bad toothache from 2 broken teeth and was told that the receptionist that booked me was new and she shouldn’t have booked me in but they can see me if I’m a private patient…the receptionist was very blunt whilst saying this to me then said "I don’t really know what u expect me to do" with a disgusted look on her face…so thanks Basin road dental surgery you really helped

Fantastic experience: Just been here first visit, I am a very very nervous patient and have past experiences in bad dentists. Matt was so very kind and very calming influence on me and explained what he wanted to do and needed doing. So very glad I have found him, I came out of the surgery thinking this could be the dentist that dissolves my fear. Maureen on reception was very very kind hearted and could see I visbably nervous and again calmed me very calming influence throughout the staff.
