Positive experience: After a good first visit is gone down hill with a dentist who is in a rush. Who managed to pinch my lip which swelled up a bit . No good with nervous patiences.

Fantastic experience: Really impressed by this dental practice and nicely surprised by my positive experience. The receptionist are friendly and very professional, they are super busy but from what I could see they treated everyone in a professional and respectful manner. The practice is very busy and it was lovely to see how well everyone was treated. Most GP practices need to take note. The dentist I saw was also brilliant and totally put me at ease with his calm diligent manner. I am really impressed and grateful that I have been able to find an NHS practice in these tricky times especially as I am out of the the area. *** Just an update as I have been using this dental practice now for over a year. Patrick Morgan has been my dentist throughout my treatment, and is considerate of my other health needs and circumstances, he is trying his hardest to keep my tooth. It's nice to see the same staff and everything seems more settled now. A great find in tough time's.

Fantastic experience: Like most I'm not a fan of dentists in general & have suffered with dental issues over the last year due to nearly dying & suffering from malnutrition which has massively affected my teeth. I was a patient at another dental practice & they have been unable to help with my ongoing issues due to not having any qualified dentists. Damira helped to get me taken on as an NHS patient & have set up a dental plan for me all the while being accommodating & sensitive to my needs. I wouldn't normally recommend a dentist but Damira are the exception. I also love that they have so much purple in their practice .

Fantastic experience: I have been several times now and as a patient who has a fear of the dentist Taz is absolutely fantastic. My daughter had a very bad experience at another dentist and she is also very afraid, he really took time to work with her on this appointment trying to understand her fears and giving suggestions on what to do to help. Fantastic experience: I visited Damira from a friend's recommendation as I wasn't happy with my dentist in Whiteley. I am a very nervous patient. Making a booking is very easy on line or you can make a booking over the phone. I was lucky enough to see Akaf who put me at ease immediately,reassured me,explained everything he would be doing. He is very professional and he made me feel very relaxed. I cannot recommend Akaf enough and would not use anyone else now. I definitely don't feel as anxious visiting the dentist now.

Negative experience: Dentist advised would call back re treatment , never did! Emailed to enquire to which was advised he was on annual leave and would call when back - never happened. Then they sent a text to my mum??( even though I registered my number ) saying I owe £15 when dentist hadn’t advised me of anymore charges as i’d already paid for everything ! Emailed to enquire about this over 2 weeks ago and no response

Fantastic experience: My first time at a dentist in years due to traumatic experience as a child. I really just want to say even though I do need some work doing (as expected) I left feeling very positive, confident and not embarrassed at all. My appointment was with ⭐️⭐️Vivian Tsai⭐️⭐️, I was early and Vivian was running ahead of schedule, my nerves were put at ease and she explained things to me so I could understand what’s going on with my teeth and what we were going to do as a treatment plan, I was so anxious about this appointment and I’m so glad I had the courage to go, I live 9 miles away and had been searching for a good NHS dentist for such a long time, I haven’t been able to register anywhere in my adult life and I’m in my early 30s! They have two buildings at Quayside, parking is free for 2 hours underneath which isn’t very well advertised online but I found it easily with street signage when I arrived. Damiras online booking, paperwork and processing at reception is very fast and efficient! Wow! (I’m sorry if I can’t remember the nurse or receptionists name) My last note, payment is required upfront so be prepared to make that when you arrive for the first time and then before you leave for your next appointment. Fantastic experience: I have attended an appointment at fhe Woolstone clinic amd have been very happy with the service provided. I managed to get a NHS check up appointment booked online with plenty of choices of dentists and appointment times. I was seen by Vivian who was very nice and caring, which helped with my anxiety. Negative experience: Since being an NHS patient, my appointments are constantly cancelled at the last minute. I went to the Dentist for an appointment, waited for nearly 50 minutes as the Dentist was late for his Surgery. I was seen for three minutes max , as I felt he was rushing as he was running late , and had other patients to see. NHS patients should have the same equal quality treatment and time as Private, sadly this doesn’t seem the case .

Fantastic experience: After years of suffering with some really bad experiences at various dentists, I can honestly say that DAMIRA QUAYSIDE is absolutely the best dentist ever. Dr Chen is so gentle , patient, and so efficient that she actually makes having an appointment a relaxing experience. Which I have honestly never felt before . The whole team is very relaxed but professional and efficient, and this just makes the whole thing much easier. I would not think twice about recommending them to everyone wanting a better dentistry experience. I no longer dread my appointments. The surgery is also extremely clean, so I no longer fear infections after every visit, which has always been the case at other dentist surgeries. So, thanks and well done to the team.

Fantastic experience: It's great to find an NHS dentist with space to join, great staff and services. From a routine check up to any follow on dentistry they always offer a good quality service with the same dentist where possible. Appointments are normally available within a couple of days if you're flexible. The online portal is a welcome addition, easy to see open appointments and they send confirmations to your phone and reminders. Local parking can be hit or miss, but typically you can park in the local superstore or off license if youre less than 2 hours.

Negative experience: Waited half an hour for appointment with no apology for the delay or running late. After 20 minutes of waiting to be called in I queried with the receptionist when we would be called in as we had been waiting a long time. She assured me the dentist had just finished with a patient and we would be next in in a couple of minutes. Ten minutes later the dentist appeared with no apology for making us wait. 30 minutes for a teenager to sit and wait for a filling resulted in a lot of anxiety. I understand that sometimes dentists are running late but we could have been informed of this when we arrived or at least received an apology for the wait.

Positive experience: So far so good! After an accident and a dentist yelling at me in the past for 20 minutes for having bad teeth i avoided the dentist for years and as a result I was really nervous. My two dentists Zolta and Violet have been patient, kind and professional with me, listening and giving me the confidence to keep going to check ups. The online system is difficult though and I was told I missed an appointment by mistake when my real appointment was 15 minutes after the time they quoted ibhad missed. Reception just told me to ignore it as it was sent in error when i got there but I almost just went home thinking it was my fault as my dyslexia makes reading times difficult. Perhaps the reception didn't see it as a big deal but honestly it really can have larger ramifications on the other end and potentially send a "you received that email in error" kind of email once they notice the mistake. Mistakes happen that's fine, but it still was a bit stressful to experience on top of dental anxiety.

Positive experience: Received my nhs dentures yesterday .slightly surprised I couldn’t wear them out the surgery as they wouldn’t stay in place without denture glue and the dentist didn’t have any . This is my first pair of dentures and I’m trying to get used to them but I’m struggling with them,I don’t know if it’s just where I’ve never used them before but they really aren’t comfortable. I almost feel they go too far back in my mouth,I can drink with them in now but I can’t eat anything yet but I will keep trying . I’ve been able to keep both top and bottom in nearly all day today but they still make me gag (not as much though) I will give it a couple of weeks to see if I get more comfortable with them but I feel I may need to go back to see if they can be adjusted

Negative experience: I have had a similar experience to other patients here. I contacted the practice manager but received no reply. While signing out, the receptionist told me that the normal price for the checkup was £26.60. I explained to her that I had prepaid online with the special offer price that was sent to me by email. She said that it wasn't right and that I had to wait for the dentist to confirm, and she asked me to take a seat. I waited for almost 30 minutes and I had run out of patience. The receptionist had left the desk and asked a dentist to cover for her. I asked the dentist on the desk to check my booking to confirm that I had paid the correct amount and she confirmed within 60 seconds that I had indeed paid the right amount. I then walked out and left the practice. It's a shame as the dentist was great. Best to use another practice, especially if you want to find NHS options too.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, and friendly staff!! I see Patrick and I think he’s brilliant, I’m petrified of the dentist but I cope really well with treatment now compared to how I was at my previous, I travel from Poole to Southampton, which at first I wasn’t too happy about but I’ve found a dentist that ok comfortable with and happy to go and see for treatment and check ups

Fantastic experience: I had to attend as an emergency and I did get to see my usual dentist who is totally amazing his bedside manner is 100% he understood and accepted my anxiety about having treatment. Positive experience: Only problems are that the car park does not have easy access to the outside world. Mobility problems mean climbing stairs is difficult and walking long distances is painful. The heavy door to Damira was almost impossible to open but the lovely receptionist Janet came to my rescue. Good staff engagement and treatment done swiftly. Overall very good

Negative experience: My recent experience with Damira dental has been appalling. I made a hygienist appointment and paid over the phone with receptionist Melanie. Just under a week later I called to double check the time as I hadn’t received a confirmation email or message. I was told no appointment had been made and no payment taken. My call log shows a 7 minute call and I can recall the whole telephone conversion where I was put on a “secure” line whilst I was asked for my card details. My bank has confirmed payment has been taken which is also visible on my online banking and they have provided a ref, which I’ve been told doesn’t help. I desperately needed my hygienist appointment so I even went ahead and booked another appointment while waiting for this to be resolved. I have found Melanie to be very rude and she even claimed it wasn’t her who took my payment. So I have now asked for the call to be reviewed as I am certain! Had I I known this would turn into a dispute I would have requested receipt at time. I am constantly told they are busy etc when ringing for an update. The hygienist Gyula is absolutely fantastic and the other receptionist has tried to help me. It’s a shame other staff offer poor service. I am now waiting for a call on Monday ( fingers crossed) to see if there have been any further updates.

Positive experience: Damira as a whole is really very good, but I recently had a situation that I tried to resolve with a member of reception staff but just felt degraded when I felt no empathy was displayed. I am disabled and in the real world when you have an illness like fibromyalgia you can't predict to what level it will affect you in advance. Education is always key so you understand not just repeating same information like a recorder, but understand people with disabilities and chronic illness may find themselves unable to attend or even cancel in appropriate times. I made best efforts to cancel the appointment, which was booked less than 48 hours prior, but was blocked by a system that doesn't allow cancellations within 48 hours. Heaven forbid I were a parent of a sick/disabled child, I would never be able to keep them under a dentist. I lodged a complaint by email, but have received no response more than 24 hours after the fact (not even an acknowledgement of receipt), only a message telling me their rules on late cancellations and failure to attend policy, and that I was in breach. Overall, other than the dentist himself, the team made me feel degraded and an inconvenience, even insinuating I may be lying about my disabilities because it wasn't logged on their system. I expected a higher standard from a large company such as Damira.

Negative experience: What a joke of a clinic. 09:45 appointment which I arrive dead on time and had to wait for others to be attended to at the desk. 09:56 came and I was told I’m too late the dentist has a patient in 4 minutes and he can’t see me. I proceeded to tell them I’ve been stood there waiting, they then told me “it doesn’t work like that”! It doesn’t work by waiting your turn, this is an emergency dental appointment. Fantastic experience: I’ve been there with dr. Ramiz Pathan for cleaning. Honestly that was the best cleaning I’ve ever had. It was amazing. Unfortunately due to giving birth my teeth completely changed colour thanks to coffee etc. I was ashamed to smile, but he cleaned all of it. He was really gentle and with really nice attitude. He have tried to make me feel safe and comfortable. He was asking if I’m doing well if not it’s painful or just anything. Really happy, honestly!

Fantastic experience: First time of using Damira as my usual dentist is a long way to travel and I wanted one closer to home. First impressions were great, lovely and clean and modern, dentist himself Taz was amazing, so calming and professional and explained what he would do and took time to listen to any questions I had. Fantastic experience: Had some tartar/ calculus buildup that i knew needs to be sorted before its getting too late, im not sure what the name of the hygienist man was but he did an incredible job and left me tartar/ calculus free and a very clean mouth. Very pleased with the outcome. I would have given 4 start because the receptionist charged me for 20 minutes and said i need to pay another £12 as the hygienist only does 30 min appointments and the hygienist the day before said he does 20 minutes as he has no nurse with him. So in the end i paid the extra £12 but the appointment was still a 20 minute one. But i was so happy with the outcome i couldnt care less

Positive experience: Very thankful to actually be registered with a dentist and when I had an issue with a tooth I was able to get an appointment the same day. However, as I need treatment and they have run out of NHS funding, I am having to pay the private prices despite being an NHS patient. Just something to be aware if. Basically, don't have tooth problems before 1st April!
