Welcome to mydentist Stafford Dental Centre. We are a 3-surgery practice with 4 clinicians and 3 hygienists on hand to provide a variety of NHS, private and myoptions treatment plans including short term orthodontics through clearcorrect, take home teeth whitening and implants.Our practice is a 1 minute walk from the police station bus stop and a 9 minute walk from Stafford train station, with limited public parking surrounding the practice. We welcome all patients to our practice and ensure all individuals are treated with the upmost care and attention from our highly skilled staff. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Negative experience: I went for a check-up that cost £100, and the appointment was finished in about 10 minutes. Afterwards, I was charged an additional £50 for reasons that were never properly explained. Then I was told I needed to book another 30-minute appointment that would cost £700 on the day. So in total, I paid £150 just to be told to come back and pay another £700. I’ll definitely be taking this further. Edit.... after making the complaint and talking to the manager ( seems an nice lady that was very understanding ) i learn that I have a fractured tooth and something wrong with my gums But was never told this in the appointment and isn't on the treatment plans.. So what. does this dentist hold stuff back even though I paid £100??

Positive experience: It's ok but one of the male dentists refused to do a quick scale and polish under NHS treatment. My teeth definitely needed a scale and polish not a deep hygiene clean. In the current climate people can't afford £70 for a separate appointment hygiene clean. I felt pretty rushed. He also only gave me a clove pack for an absence once when I needed antibiotics. Uma is great though. Brilliant service, referred me to an oral specialist.

Negative experience: Really bad experience , I won’t recommend to anyone , I went there with damaged jaw tooth and the dr without telling that I need a root canal treatment instead has done a composit filling , I paid 280 pounds and after 2 weeks I had to take that composit out for a root canal treatment , they refused to give my money back and also he said his done a composit because my tooth was really damaged . How this helped me? He made me pay something that I don’t need in the first place , this is not how a dr should practice . Don’t go there !

Negative experience: Today I took my 3 children for check-up at the practice. The entire appointment was over in under five minutes, and at no point were we asked if we had any concerns or questions. This gave the impression that the visit was rushed and lacked the thoroughness one would reasonably expect during a routine dental examination. When I attempted to raise a concern regarding the possibility of my daughter needing braces, I was promptly dismissed and told she did not meet the criteria—without any further discussion or explanation. The interaction left me feeling disregarded and deeply disappointed with the level of care we received. I believe every patient—especially children—deserves attentive, respectful, and responsive dental care. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of that expectation. As such, I will not be returning to your practice and will be seeking alternative dental care for my children moving forward.

Negative experience: Dr Marius Iliescu is in the habit of looking for & inventing work. During a routine checkup, I “needed” fillings around two existing metal fillings. Amalgam fillings were used & the teeth were over drilled. This caused sensitivity and the tooth was redrilled and refilled with amalgam which did not help. The new treatment prescribed involves an injection in the gum, removal of original pre-existing metal fillings and RCT — designed to put me off which it has. I have been left with permanent sensitivity / damage. I am dissatisfied with the treatment provided as this is dentist induced and started from a routine checku

Negative experience: My dentist here would cause me intentional pain just to make a point. He even messed up with a needle. Slipped with it in my mouth. Days later I had an abscess. The dentist kept claiming they couldn’t do anything or see me for 2 weeks and did nothing to help with my pain or symptoms. In the end I had to go to A&E twice for help because my jaw locked up to the point I could barely eat. Couldn’t even get a spoon between my teeth. Horrific experience. I didn’t realise that this wasn’t the norm until a friend went with me for an appointment once and saw how the dentist was and told me that it’s not normal. I moved to another dentist and it was night and day difference. Never dealt with pain or issues from my dentist since.

Negative experience: absolutely disgusting treatment! took my son in with severe tooth ache and they rushed him out within 10 minutes. Called back later the same day due to him being in pain and was seen by a different dentist who had a 2 second look and prescribed antibiotics. Half hour later my son is back in agony! I call them back only to be told he has been seen twice today no dentist will look at him and he will have to deal with the pain!!

Negative experience: The staff are polite however they don't seem to know what to do. One dentist cut my tooth in half midway and told me he couldn't continue, resulting in me losing sleep for days and not being able to eat properly, the pain has kept me up multiple nights in a row where i cry from the pain. Not worth the visit. Wont be back.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say what a great experience i had yesterday with the Team at My Dentist in stafford. From the first point of contact with Louise on reception to visiting the practice yesterday the service and treatment was fantastic. I am probably not the only person in the world who hates going to the Dentist and has this phobia , but needs must and i had to go . The experience with Marius and His Dental nurse ( sorry i can't remember your name ) was amazing they conforted me, explained everything to me including costings before going ahead with treatment so i felt completely at ease. This dental phobic lady even had my treatment without any numbing of the affected area. Fantastic experience: I cannot praise Marius and the team highly enough. I have been in so much pain and he sorted everything out. Dentists are the forgotten front line. Due to them adhering to cleaning they can only see 1/3rd of patients and those are being prioritised - what a nightmare for them. Amazing - thank you again

Fantastic experience: I regularly (6monthly) use this practise. I have always been very happy with the dental treatment I received. Polite and happy reception staff, and a great dentist. Highly recommend.
Positive experience: Only ever visit for routine check ups but always had a good service albeit often running behind on appointment times.
Negative experience: I dont like this dentist they dont follow bands and are rude

Negative experience: I hate this dentist. Bloody guy pulled out my sons tooth without even telling me! He sprayed the numbing spray and said ok we’re just gona take this out. The look of Terror in my 6 year old sons eyes! Poor sod is scared of dentists now. Dont go here.
Negative experience: Moved from Cannock dentist who did my teeth perfectly and had nothing to complain about to this dentist and this dentist just completely ruined my teeth I had perfectly straight teeth and I was very proud of them, I had some fillings fall out and needed to get them filled in so I went there and they drilled a hole between the teeth at the front and now I have a gap in my teeth, not happy at all

Negative experience: All the times iv been its been different dentists, iv always had just one in the past and with having infections in lower wisdom teeth they never referred for me to have them out, insisted on top ones which were not the problem. I refused in the end. I don't have a problem with the foreign dentists provided they speak clearly and don't make you feel like you have a hearing problem. I didn't like my experiences but what other nhs dentists are there? None up north end stafford. Got no choice
Negative experience: I went to see Marcus as an emergency, and fair play, he sorted me out. But I felt he was extremely patronising and abit rude. I did ask to see someone else as he made me nervous but i could'nt as he was the dentist dealing with me. I kind of got the impression he hated teeth, hated people and my general presence in the dentist was a massive inconveince and i was a disgrace to humanity by having toothache. I had anaeseatic for a filling, which didnt work. Felt everything. I had to go back for an extraction (same tooth) later, two injections.. yep felt it. A bit of putting to go back to the dentist ever again. Although Ive seen Uma here before, she was lovely. :) Receptionists lovely...but he needs to maybe get a career rethink. :/
Positive experience: You can book online now, but as with most dentists, they're always running late.
Fantastic experience: Quick and friendly service. Didn't offer anything I didn't need and was very efficient. Most pleasant dental check up and scale I've ever had. I have a fear of the dentist, mainly as a result of invasive and painful experiences, this has cured my fears.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dental centre to my worst enemy. I have never had any problems with my teeth over 22 years until I required a filling last year. This then turned into a root canal which has not been completed properly and caused the side of my tooth to crack off requiring another filling which I was charged for. I still have continuous pain from this tooth and suspect partial root is still in there. As well as a potential abcess forming due to continuous pain. Do not use this dental centre.
Negative experience: WARNING: This place is a total joke & should be avoided at all costs even for emergency work.. I had to call in earlier in the year as no one was answering the phone, I eventually spoke to Kim the senior receptionist & explained that I was nervous following previous treatment I had received that had gone wrong. An appointment was made with Uma to discuss having a bridge, I like to have conversations face to face but Uma insisted that I sit in the dental treatment chair & then reclined it so I had a bright light in my eyes before she would talk to me, her English is VERY BAD & I struggled to understand a word she was saying especially as she was wearing a face mask. As soon as she knew I had an NHS treatment entitlement she stopped taking about the bridge I was requesting & began talking about "plastic dentures" I told her I couldn't wear them so she told me she would order some metal clip-in ones for me to try.. I had to go back 2 weeks later & bite on some poorly mixed plaster to make a mould, first time failed as the plaster had been mixed too thin by the Chinese dental technician (who's English is worse than Uma's) & I was nearly sick as the plaster was running down my throat forcing me to stop the treatment & heave up the plaster & spit it out in the sink. Uma then made another batch of plaster which was slightly firmer & eventually a cast was made & I was told to come back in 3 weeks for a fitting which I did. When I arrived they were running behind schedule & I was told that I would have to wait 10 minutes to be seen.. 45 minutes later & only after asking a receptionist (with no name badge on) that I wanted the contact details of how to complain about the poor service was I finally called in. Again I was told to lie down & Uma produced a set of pink PLASTIC dentures & began fitting them I stopped her telling her that I already had some of those & never wore them as they are just horrible, Uma gave me a speech about new developments in the plastic now being used & I very reluctantly allowed her to try and fit them. After taking them in & out about 15 times & cutting my gums in the process & grinding the dentures she still couldn't get them to fit correctly so then with out telling me she covered them in Fixident glue & told me to bite down hard.. as I did this the Fixident squrted down the back of my throat forcing me to push her out of the way so I could spit out this mess in the sink again. After this I got up & refused to get back in the chair asking where were the metal dentures she had promised, she told me that she did order metal but that plastic had arrived and she thought she would try them as I was there to avoid having to apologise for the mistake made in ordering. When I left the room with dentures and moulds in a bag she was still apologising for her incompetence. On my way out I complained to the receptionist with no name badge & requested to see the practice manager who I was told was not there at the moment but would be in touch= STILL WAITING !!!
Negative experience: i`m always in agony for about five days after treatment
Positive experience: Away fom home and a filling comes loose. Other dentists tell me they can see me in a week. Seen the same day here but was told I would have to bring £18 cash or cheque. Seen on time, was give temp filling and was only charged the £18. Good old NHS. I thought this service was brill.
