Fantastic experience: The place to go done a very good job

Fantastic experience: The BEST dental practice.. could not praise these enough,weeks of tooth pain, another dental practice that wanted £800 for a advanced root canal for a really bad tooth that was infected and had to wait till new year. After couple days of more pain took a chance on this practice, got me in the same day was really nice and assuring, extracted my tooth and as someone who get nervous about dental pain, I felt nothing for a tooth extraction that was far from simple charles and his assistant were so patience and made sure i was in absolutely no pain before tugging away. Had to phone today as complications with healing and sorted me straight away. Receptionist was amazing can not praise enough.

The dentist takes time to explain everything clearly and always makes sure I’m comfortable before starting. Charles is an extremely patient and a fantastic dentist who would always go above and beyond to explain his patients all available options to ensure peace of mind. The entire team is extremely warm and welcoming and a special mention to Jennifer and her dental health management skills which are exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Terrified of going to the dentist and hadn't been for at least 15 years. This dentist is amazing. In fact all of the staff are lovely. Comfortable reassuring calm atmosphere. No long waits while you are there. Pain-free. Completely cured of my fear. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Not my usual dentist but needed an emergency appointment, was seen same day and had procedure carried out a few days after. Charles and his wonderful team couldn’t have been better, put me at ease and was nurturing to me the whole time as i was a bit nervous. Will only be using this practice from now on!

Fantastic experience: First time to this dentist,and am I glad I did. Had to have a Tooth extraction,and I must say,it wasn't an unpleasant experience at all. Mr Huang the dentist,was friendly,chatty,and made me feel at ease,all the while,from the injection,to the actual tooth being extracted,and even after,giving myself information for the aftercare. Suffice to say,i shall be returning

I am a nervous person with going to the dentist but Charles’ trainee made me feel very relaxed, talking to me and making sure I was comfortable at all times while I had 3 teeth out. Fantastic experience: Was seen today as an emergency appt, the first thing I liked was that it wasn't hustle and bustle of a busy waiting area, reception staff were lovely. The Dentist Charles, and his nurse were so lovely too, and after dreading this visit, I was actually so relaxed in the chair for 45 mins while Charles worked his magic on my broken tooth i've finally found a dentist I won't dread going to see.

Fantastic experience: Charles is a superb dentist. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else. I was once a really nervous patient, to the point where I would cower in the waiting room. It took a trobbing abcess and a rotten tooth to force me to seek out a dentist. I've never had private dental work done before, but during lockdown I was forced to go private because of the insane NHS waiting times. Charles and his team put me at ease straight away and despite of the very invasive procedures that followed, I've always felt I'm in the best hands. I've always found Charles and his team to be compassionate, gentle and honest. You really do get what you pay for and for that I'm really grateful.

Negative experience: Called multiple times during the opening hours and was constantly left to leave a voicemail. 24 hours later still no return of call. Ideally zero stars but clearly to post this review I’ll put one. Maybe this company isn’t even operational in which case the website and links should be shut down. Update 13/10/2022: You can see the reply from the practice, they clearly don't even pay attention to detail when submitting a response, the end of it is cut off! They also still haven't returned my voicemail since this was originally posted.

Negative experience: Called to get a dental cleaning, been told to wait on the line for her to check available dates - few seconds later she just hanged up on me for no reason, and doesn't answer anymore. Such nakers shouldn't work as receptionists! Lost a family of loyal clients.

Fantastic experience: Charles is an excellent dentist! My family and I have been going to Charles for the last 28 years and have always been very happy with the high quality of his dentistry. He is very kind and caring and puts you at your ease. Charles has been the dentist of our three children, who are now all in their twenties, since birth and they all say that they would never go to another dentist which may be a problem if Charles ever retires!!! Charles’ reception team are very helpful and professional, and provide impressive customer service. In summary, we highly recommend Charles and Acer Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: Charles is an amazing dentist! All my family members are seen by him as his work is just amazing. He's so lovely and kind and very caring. I unfortunately am not the best when it comes to oral hygiene hence why I have multiple emergency trips to the dentist but each visit Charles makes me feel at ease and explains everything properly and every and any treatment he has carried out on me has been amazing and so so good! I highly recommend him and have been telling all my family and friends about his amazing work and passion for what he does. He holds such extensive knowledge which is very reassuring for me so glad to have him as my dentist. The treatments are pricey but that is expected due to the quality we as patients recieve. Thank you to Charles and his team :)

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about this practice. The dentist, Charles, is amazing, as is his assistant, Laura. They are both so very kind and Charles is gentle and very reassuring. Ideal for anyone who is nervous. They can normally see you at very short notice which is ideal if you are in pain.

Negative experience: Despite being listed on NHS 111 as taking NHS patients they are not

Fantastic experience: I can't rate them highly enough. Staff are all wonderful. Dentist is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at ease. Very glad that I chose this dental surgery.

Negative experience: A pricey but good dentist - however REALLY not impressed with customer service from reception though, pretty awful actually. In the past had a root canal procedure costing a large amount of money but was a good job on the whole so I can't really complain. Last week I cracked a tooth and so called to ask about availability given COVID etc - I was told in no uncertain terms it was going to cost £155 to get it seen to as an emergency. I explained I was in no pain and was using a temporary filler so could wait until then had normal appointments and she said 'Okay we can take a look and get the tooth filled' .... for £155 ... I mean really?! Seems like they only care about money and not keeping their customers by offering a reasonable price like any other business, i'm going to sign up for an NHS dentist again instead, at least I don't have to pay stupid money to have bad customer service and feel ripped off.

Fantastic experience: The Dentist and his nurses were EXCELLENT! today, looking after a very nervous patient, having not been to the dentist for a number of years. The dentist Mr Huang was very reassuring and patient themselves and helpful there bedside manner is excellent also and apart from that the dental nurses there are very pleasing on the eyes ( they asked me to add that part) but it's also true. So all in all one very satisfied customer and I will be returning.

Fantastic experience: thank you to staff and the dentist for their patience and kindness as im the most nervous patient no thanks to bad experiances throughout my life but that all changed after going to Acer dental surgery for a emergency apptointment I was shown the best care and helpfulness throughout my appointment after having out a tooth I was not shoved out but allowed to sit for as long as I needed and when I went back to have stitches removed the same care was there to the point of making an appointment for a check up which ive never done before so I would say go to Acer Dental Surgery Laindon because from me to you its GREAT PLACE

Fantastic experience: I’m a nervous patient at the best of times due to lots of bad experiences and suffering with panic disorder - the team at Acer are hidden gems within Basildon after trying many others. I adore them and their friendly approach and the dental nurse held my hand through my second root planing clean as I had a panic moment with numbing cream I swallowed (my own fault ha ha) and she calmed me down before my procedure and Charles was absolutely faultless and kept checking on me and making sure I was okay and took regular breaks and they have all collectively put me on the road to recovery after every dentist I’ve used has missed my aggressive gum disease. They are the BEST! Charles then measured my gums correctly for TePe sizes I need and just went above and beyond. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, ever again. These guys will always be my go to people for dental work/hygiene and cleans.

Fantastic experience: My children having been attending the surgery for some years now. Have built up a relaxed relationship with Charles. So you arn't allowed to retire Charles as my children so calm when needed any treatment. Thank you.

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend this dentist. He told me I would need 400 pounds worth of work done otherwise my teeth would rot. Went to another dentist who said all I needed was a deep clean and was only charged 40 for!

Positive experience: Charles is very competant and professional.I have a massive fear of dentists which Charles has accomodated and been very sympathetic about.I am currently looking to move away from the area,but would rather make the journey to continue treatment with Charles as opposed to seeing someone new.
