Bhandal Dental Practice - Worcester

Negative experience: I wouldn’t bother. No one ever answers the phone & clearly they prioritise private patients over NHS because the dentist receives more money. I made an appointment in January it was cancelled on the morning of the appointment with no explanation. I then had to wait 2 MONTHS for the next available appointment which was again cancelled on the morning. When I asked why I was given some clearly made up story that the dentist couldn’t make it into work. I then made another appointment for 3 weeks time which again has been cancelled 10 days before. Tried calling to ask why but surprisingly no one is available.

Fantastic experience: Not sure where some the negativity comes from myself and my partner have always had a quick and easy time here. I'm just in for a check up and clean. She tends to be more work fillings etc and she was posititive about the work done! Thanks see you in 6 months!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this dental practice for eight years and have consistently received excellent care. Over the past five years, I have been treated by Mohini, who has been outstanding. She is patient, takes the time to clearly explain treatment plans, and demonstrates a high level of professionalism. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and her dedication and expertise make her a true asset to the practice.

Negative experience: Never answers the phone impossible to make an appointment.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place. During my visit, an employee walked through the room I was in, exited through the back door, and returned shortly after smoking possibly, as I noticed a cigarette smell. Additionally, I was informed they do not offer hygienist services, which was disappointing.

Negative experience: Got a text to say my check-up was due (after 4 years) phone numerous times, just get the answer machine saying they are closed and giving the opening times. I was ringing during opening hours. I have been ringing once or twice a week since November.

Negative experience: In no way would I recommend this dental practice. Only occasionally have I had the same dentist twice. During the time between appointments you can guarantee the dentist has moved on to be replaced with a different one. I have recently had considerable dental work done and due to serious incorrect advice given to me by the dentist of the moment it resulted in costing me several hundreds of pounds which had she been better informed could have been avoided. I too have on occasions found the staff abrasive and very unhelpful failing to fulfil their job properly and as a consequence letting you down. It is also virtually impossible to get through on the phone it is much quicker to go and speak to someone in person. I know NH S dentist are in short supply but please reconsider before registering with this practice

Negative experience: I have honestly never known a worse dental surgery. I’ve been waiting three years for a referral to Cradley heath to have a wisdom tooth removed. The surgery opening time states 9am however your calls are diverted to voicemail until 10am! The receptionists never answer the phone and put the phone down once it’s been ringing a while. If you attend in person the receptionist will go above and beyond to be rude to you and to make you feel uncomfortable. The dentist herself does not seem to know what she is doing. A filling came loose and instead of replacing it they removed the whole tooth after informing me it could be crowned. Stay away from this dentist at all costs!!! Should be easy seeing as they don’t answer the phone anyway!!

Negative experience: Called to be told not taking on new patients and they would be having a meeting next year about it. Told the receptionist i wasn't NHS and was willing to pay privately but was told they don't provide that service. So if they do not take NHS or Private patients how is anyone expected to get dental treatment.

Negative experience: I can only add to other reviews that this dentist is a con artist to obtain funds privately under false pretences. I needed a tooth extraction due to lack of dental service around covid. The dentist asserted they could not perform it there, and it would need to be done privately under sedation. It just seemed dodgy to me. I refused, and booked a NHS appointment in Malvern, who completed the extraction free, and no sedation. This is highly unethical and unprofessional. Sedation has health risks and to unnecessarily prescribe it is morally and criminally wreckless.

Negative experience: I am currently less than 12 months postpartum and therefore have free NHS dental appointments. However, I am unable to get through to anyone to make an appointment. You ring and it goes straight to answer phone. Messages have been left with no call back. Extremely disappointing.

I called this branch back which took me weeks to get hold of because they never answer the phone, This dentist Shaurya Manjunath does not know how to do her job, because i am a nhs patient she just wants to extract them they just want you to go private and pay for them so they can take money from you at there cradley heath branch. Nhs dental covers fillings and rootcanals i should not be having to switch from nhs to private so they can do there job. Now they are telling me that i am the one who refused extraction, why would i drive one hour, waste money on fuel just to refuse??? Instead i would call and cancel it. Stay far away from this dentist i Would not recommend this place at all!!!!! Also in 2015 the ceo/owner of all bhandal branches Dr Baljit S Bhandal lost a £66 million pound legal battle with HMRC after he was found guilty by hight court judge of fraud and money laundering just google his name its all over the news. Stay far away!!!!

Negative experience: Shaurya manjunath is a fake dentist and not skilled will not trust to get any advise regarding dentistry. Search the Bhandal (owners) history on Google got done for fraud, I have no doubt this is also a money grab scheme with low levelled people hired. Has no basic dental knowledge. This bhandal practice is all over the west mids gaining money from the nhs with no dentistry care or professionalism. Other dentist are aware of bhandal practice and if the nhs put you to them CHANGE urgently.

Negative experience: Report these people, receptionist who can’t get her words together with no educational background. Dentist who can’t perform basic dentist work. All in all if you see this it’s your sign to find somewhere else. All previous reviews speak for them selves. The high grades ones are all purchased reviews. Awful people with no shame taking from NHS with a ponzi dentist

Negative experience: Never answer there phone, been trying to call them for weeks now. They have been telling me they will refer me to cradley heath but that never happens. Bunch of liars and timewasters i do not recommend this place at all especially if you are a nhs patient they wont give you the same care and treatment like private patients.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had two treatments in the last twelve months including a filling and a replaced veneer. I cannot rate the staff highly enough for looking after me. Also, quite possibly the gentlest dentist I’ve ever had. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and had 111 pass my number along to this clinic. They phoned me back ASAP and I was seen and sorted all before lunch time. I have a massive phobia of the dentist but all the staff were lovely and non judgemental. I feel I had excellent service and couldn’t thank the staff enough

Negative experience: The opening hours are stated as 9 am, yet when you phone in you are told by the answering machine that the surgery is closed. It is currently going on the 20 past 9... this surgery is proving its lack of professionalism yet again!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend his dentist highly enough. I had been having problems with my dentures it because of Covid19 I was unable to find a dentist who would se me as a NHS patient, I finally found Bhandal dental practice and within days I was booked in. Unfortunately I do not know my dentists name but he uses room 3. My dentist had so much patience ensuring that my dentures fitted correctly, I made various visits to have my dentures fitted up because he was not happy with the fit he kept making adjustments until I finally brought them home, I had worn them for about 2 weeks but realised they needed a slight adjustment, I telephoned the practice to see if hey could make the said adjustment, I was given an appointment or 2 hours later that same day. They are now a very comfortable fit and I can’t thank my dentist (room 3) high enough, the receptionists and dental nurses also need commending for a fantastic service - Thank You.

Negative experience: Bhandal Dental Practice anyone had a bad experience with them? I've been trying to get a tooth removed after being told for 6 months I've been moved to Cradley heath so I can have an xray then a tooth removal,after many referrals that I get told had not been received by the Cradley heath clinic when I witnessed the Worcester clinic dentist send the email.Cradley heath said they contacted me with two appointments in the past but had no contact from them so there lying,they have the right contact details. There's no excuse making someone with tooth pain wait 6 months just for one tooth to removed.After this I won't be going back to back to them I will change to a different dentist cause this isn't acceptable at all after being passed back and forth for 6 months and being told lies and excuses. This dentist should not be allowed to be open,it should be closed

Fantastic experience: I recently had to have a root canal procedure. I hadn't had anything like this before. The dentist was kind, explained everything, very careful and I felt in safe hands. The procedure went very smoothly and within a few days, my new crown was ready and fitted. Absolutely first class treatment.

Fantastic experience: Been with the practice for many years but not been for a few years due to pandemic etc. Gave me an appointment straightaway. Brilliant . Purely NHS now and delivers quality care . If you want a dentist to 'fawn' over you go private. If you want a really good dentist that provides good quality care and that works hard for you? This is the one.

Negative experience: What a disgrace for the NHS. They don't want to provide any treatment unless you are desperate. Can't even clean your teeth properly. I got up and left.....after being offered private treatment and subjected to a totally bad attitude!

Negative experience: This place is an absolute hole. Their phone line doesn’t work. I had to go in to check my children appointments were still booked in, I had been getting texts to say they are due their checkup and to call. Weird when I already have them booked in. So I Can’t get through on the phone to speak to anyone , so made a special trip just to check what was going on. Told by receptionist it had been cancelled and that I would of received a text or phone call. No, I haven’t had either. Told them I’ve been trying to call, and just get a oh yeah, our phone line has been down for a few days. No apology, just a well do you want to re book. Take some flipping pride in your service and sort yourselves out.

Fantastic experience: Had a filling last week on a tooth which was crippling me with pain. Dentist was brilliant. Very efficient and thorough. No pain now and came away very happy.

Negative experience: They cancelled my appointment for the 6th October 2022 by text and asked me to contact them to rebook an appointment on the number sent with the text. Ringing twice daily since the text around lunchtime and 1000 am and it continues to ring to the answerphone that says the practice is closed, please call back during our opening hours. Have you gone out of business or are your openings hours not the the ones stated on your website and answerphone? What do I have to do to rebook an appointment that you cancelled?

Negative experience: Anyone know what is going on with this practice?. I've tried numerous different times ringing to try and book appointment and they never answer the phone. It either rings off after so long or a BT call message comes on, no proper recorded message saying they are busy and please leave a message etc. I've left a voicemail but I'm not holding my breath.So unprofessional. Looks like this place had gone downhill since covid. Do I have to go into the practice to get to speak to someone??

Fantastic experience: Having relocated, I was struggling to find a dental practice that would take me on. Bhandal practice were extremely accomodating and provide a short waiting time for an available appointment. I saw Dr Gurung and as a new patient with a few worries he provided an X-Ray, general checkup and clean. That was performed with diligence and care, whilst taking the time to explain things. Would highly recommend them.

Positive experience: Been a patient for years, had two different dentists, both of which were very good. An extraction, crown and some fillings over the time been with them. No problems or bad service. Only critism is that sometimes they are hard to get on the phone. But all good on the whole.

Fantastic experience: I was just so relieved to find an NHS dentist in Worcester I moved back here 3 days before first lockdown Had not been able to find any dentist for 2 years thar were taking on any new patients Very friendly staff . Appointments on time ! Good explanation of problem No uneccasry work suggested Completely pain free and very good work . I will stay with this dentist when he will be forced to go into a private practise . They are treated very badly by government .

Negative experience: Did not feel comfortable at all. Very rushed and did not explain why they was doing things or what they wanted me to do. The dentist was full of cold leaning over me sniffing up snot it was disgusting. Later found out they are anti vaxxers which I don't know for sure is true but if they are and he has covid and I catch it I will be fuming ! He was rough and also booked me in for a clean and told me it will be sore. I've never known having my teeth cleaned to be sore after. Safe to say I will not be going back for this

Negative experience: I visited the surgery in Feb and I was told that I’ll be referred to a hospital for a tooth extraction and the hospital will be in touch. I called them again after two months and asked them if there was any progress and the receptionist rudely told me I need to keep on waiting as the delays were due to COVID backlogs. I called the hospital and they mentioned there is no referral for me. I spoke to the dental surgery again and they mentioned that they were unable to do the referral as I am based in Bristol. So waited for more than 2 months in pain and the case is with no one. Had I not chased the hospital, these guys would have made me wait for a few more months while the case wasn’t even referred to anyone. Highly unprofessional and extremely rude staff.

Negative experience: Super disappointed made an appointment for treatment 2 weeks ago but the dentist has decided today the day of the appointment he needs to go to the bank so cancelled my appointment. Great service very professional thanks for leaving me with tooth ache.

Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness, thank god for these dentists and that I managed to get in! After 2 long years of struggling with my 2 teeth and not being able to eat properly they had sorted out my problem within a week. Absolutely amazing. Staff was very nice and friendly, took me in on time every time. Very pleased with them!

Negative experience: Can't say much as I haven't been. But after calling 50 times between 9:00 and 9:20 and they tell you "we're closed, call again between 9:00 and 1:00", you very much lose faith in a dentist. I will be happy to remove this review once they address this issue, either by answering the phones at this time, or updating their stated open hours

Fantastic experience: Amazing service, I had 2 teeth removed in a sitting. The dentist and dental nurse were amazing, they talked me through every stage. Reception were really helpful too. Its a tough climate at the minute but I'm really grateful they managed to see me and remove teeth on the same day.

Fantastic experience: Phone up and got an appointment 2 days later for a chipped front tooth. Very good service from all staff wearing full PPE and let you in via front door when you phone to let them know you have arrived. Hand sanitiser provided by staff on entry and card payment taken filling treatment. Doors opened for you on exit. Very good service prompt and professional. Highly recommended. Shame dentists aren’t usually like this without COVID 19 preventative measures. Well done

Fantastic experience: My partner had a tooth extraction go wrong at the Bupa dentist on St Mary's Street (when I say go wrong, I mean they butchered her) Bhandal saw her within half an hour and managed to remove the problem tooth within 25 minutes) the previous dentist had failed to do this in an hour and a half)! The staff here were amazing, really showing that they cared and we're professional throughout. We were given after care information and booked for a follow up next week. Thank you to all of the Bhandal team.

Negative experience: Have visited this surgery several times with a disabled relative, the disabled access is terrible, steep ramp to access door, wheelie bin and car parked close to ramp, impossible to use ramp in wet weather, inside is totaly unsuitaable for wheelchair use, hallways and doors too narrow and ill positioned, no disabled tojlet, i compkained about the issues to the dentist and 2 female assistants who just laughed! Very unhelpful and unfriendly staff, no understanding or sympathy. We will mot be returrning!

Negative experience: I’m 5 months pregnant and went to the dentist for a check up. I shouted a few times for them to get out my mouth as I’ve never felt so rushed and panicked. Dentist wanted to give me a filling without any numbing said it wouldn’t hurt, but I felt the drilling and it killed. He then gave in a numbed my cheek not my gum!! After that he cleaned my teeth and I had the water going up my nose and all over my face. The worst experience I’ve ever had and because of people like him it puts the fear of god in us about dentists because he didn’t explain anything to me just did it and I wasn’t aware of what was happening and panicked the whole time. Not good for me or my unborn baby! I even told him after I will not be going back. I think he thought i was joking! and also my partner went in for a clean and came out with a temporary cap, he has been back twice for a fitting of his real cap and both times its shattered or hasn’t fit properly so my partners come away with bleeding gums and a painful jaw. I wish I could put in a complaint somewhere more official because this guy needs to be stopped!!

Fantastic experience: My dentist truly saved my tooth.It’s made difference to life I can truly say that my dentist, Hamid, at Bhandal Dental Practice, Worcester, is the best dentist I have ever had. I have also been to private dentists; my dentist here is so much better. This is because I felt that he really wanted to get me better. Most dentists would have removed my tooth but he worked so hard to save it...and he did! I feel so ingratiated to my new dentist because he has improved the quality of my life! That’s a huge thing to be thankful for! To add to this, the whole practice, including reception, is the most professional I have encountered. I was given an NHS appointment without any delay and subsequent appointments followed quickly. I completely recommend Bhandal dental Practice, Worcester.

Fantastic experience: After a very long time without visiting a dentist due to my phobia the time had come where I knew I needed dental treatment, I contacted this surgery and they were very friendly and got me an appointment within days of speaking to them , my dentist is Shaurya Manjunath who I can only praise as she kept reassuring me through my treatments not to panic etc, they are still ongoing and if was not for her caring and understanding attitude not to mention her assistant and there attention to detail I probably would not go back but as they are so friendly/understanding and do what they can to keep you calm I am still returning for my treatments, would highly recommend this practice Nikki Homer

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault this practice. Myself and my family have been going there for donkeys years! Our dentist is Dr Kunal Sharia and we have absolute faith in him and his nurse. He is kind, considerate and definitely calms you down (if you are anything like me) -Dental phobia! The receptionists are also lovely! All in all they make a terrific team. Thank you all of you xx

Fantastic experience: Superb dental practice, reception (Sarah) is very helpful, caring and friendly and that's not to mention the dentist, Andreas, who is brilliant. Sad to say I've had many dental experiences some good, some great and some terrible and this practice is the top of the pile. If worried, trust me, you are in the safest pair of hands you can be (to the point where I travel from Birmingham to Worcester and refuse to find a more local practice - been with them for approx. 8 years and will stay for as long as they will continue to take me!)

Fantastic experience: In between appointments I lost a filling (careless) and called to make an appointment, no hurry as I was not in pain, got an appointment two days later with my preferred dentist Mr Aslan, arrived early, went straight up and back outside in 10 minutes and guess what NO Charge ! Brilliant !
