Fantastic experience: I've been with them now for several years and I'm always seen promptly and both the dentists (Sabrina) and hygienist (Marian) have been incredible, friendly and professional. Definitely recommend if you are looking for treatment in the Portsmouth area.

Positive experience: Visited for the second time today, the receptionists are very friendly and the dentist Sabina seems to know what she’s doing! The hygienist is quick and efficient. Useful dental imagery technology available to see the state of your teeth at any angle - not for the faint hearted … The building and rooms aren't exactly sleek and modern, if you care about this and the lack of parking makes it a bit annoying but pay and display is available at the back of the practice.

Fantastic experience: I have just seen Gill for a routine check up and I have to say, having previously lost all faith in dentists, I have left her office feeling very optimistic. The amount of information she gave me was phenomenal. Her approach was very direct, but extremely informative and I left feeling that I was in competent hands. Overall I am very pleased and excited to get my teeth back to optimal health.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service! Had an emergency appointment and problem sorted in the same day. Amazing staff (dentist , nurse, receptionist), very professional, welcoming and friendly! Christian (dentist) was explaining the issues and then treatment clearly and options available. I received excellent care and attention, I was concerned and in a desperate situation with a crown partially fallen and in pain, which my own dentist failed to treat, but Christian managed to made me feel comfortable and had a tooth extracted with no problem! The attitude of the staff was so positive and encouraging, my faith in dentists is now restored thank to them. And I have a new dental practice as exceptional care received. Special thanks to Lisa from reception for everything Now I’m registered with Bupa, would strongly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: If you’re considering getting Invisalign then I can’t recommend getting them done at Bupa Cosham with Sabina enough. Her and Claire have completely transformed my smile and giving me back my confidence.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist surgery. My last 4 star review is preserved below. I have amended it to 5 stars following their response. ------------ "Is there a way to take the pram upstairs, a lift or anything?" The receptionist laughed. "No." So I left it sort of just parked in the middle of the reception area. I'm not sure what wheelchair users would do in this situation. Also there are no baby changing facilities in the toilets here. I get that you have no obligation to provide baby changing facilities (babies have no teeth = no dentistry work required = you stand to gain nothing), but it would be a nice provision for the adult guardians of said babies (adults generally have teeth). Otherwise - prompt service and high standard of dentistry.

After having experiencing unbearable pain they got me in and carried out the procedure needed there and then. I’m a very nervous person with dentists but Christian and his assistant couldn’t be more reassuring and calmed me down. The procedure (extraction) was painless. From the moment I called in distress with a dental emergency, the receptionist was understanding and quick to schedule me for an appointment on the very same day. The dentist (Christian) was friendly, welcoming, and caring; he took the time to discuss the treatment options available, ensuring that I fully understood the procedures and felt comfortable moving forward. As a result of receiving such great care from Christian, I have decided to register as a patient at Bupa Dental Care in Cosham, and feel confident that I have found a dental home for years to come!

Negative experience: Although booking was a fast process and I was seen promptly, it was to be with Gillian to inspect the area of which I was experiencing pain for a solid week already. Alongside rude comments and an utterly unprofessional attitude when inspecting my entire mouth (not why I attended) she came to the conclusion that I had an abscess within a tooth I’d ground in my sleep to impact (she told me it was due to my diet). Was given antibiotics and told NHS would call to arrange an x-ray. A week later I’ve had to visit an out of hours emergency dentist because the pain is still so unbearable I’ve had to fork out a huge cost to have it removed. The issue? An infection. Not an abscess. Also had a long standing friend visit the same Dentist with similar pains to mine, who has given the same prognosis when it’s more than likely the same as my case an infection not an abscess.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentist, from the receptionist who are so lovely and helpful to the dentist himself Christian I was so nervous! he made me feel so relaxed throughout treatment would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My dentist Mirah is kind, patient and willing to answer questions. The building is clean, waiting area is comfortable but upstairs so not disability friendly. Unsure if they have consultation rooms on ground floor. Receptionists are nice enough. Can be difficult to get through on the phones, might take a few attempts.

Fantastic experience: Gill and her colleagues have been exceptional! When in pain and in need of some urgent attention they made sure I was taken care of in the most efficient, caring and compassionate manner possible. Thank you Gill for your professionalism and kindness.

Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient Gill made my visit for 3 extractions comfortable and easy. Her professionalism and explanations were brilliant and made me feel a lot less anxious. I can safely say that I have found a dentist that I trust and will not mind going too.

Fantastic experience: I received excellent care and attention from all at this Practice, starting with the receptionist, to the dental nurse and, finally, to the dentist himself. I was in a desperate situation, with a front tooth crown having fallen out and my own dentist couldn't help! The attitude of the staff was very much a 'can do' response and, once I met the dentist, he restored my faith in dentists (I have major anxieties with dentists!). He clearly explained all the issues I had, nothing was too much bother and explained the course of treatment and options available. I left having had a temporary crown, a new appointment and my confidence sky-high! A huge 'thank you' doesn't seem to be enough but I would recommend this Practice to anyone, particularly those with anxiety.

Fantastic experience: Before going to the dentist and like most people, I had previously had an unpleasant experience at another practice (not Bupa). However, my experience with Bupa has been very pleasant, pain free and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Gillian (dentist) and Katie (assistant) were so helpful and friendly throughout and completely made me feel at ease. I've had 2 visits and 2 extractions. Each time it was done with care and attention and I was talked to throughout, keeping me in the loop and engaging in friendly banter. Those 2 wonderful ladies have given me the confidence to continue going to the dentist and they have made my life a lot better, as I am now pain free due to the removal of the infected teeth. Also, they have arranged for me to have my tooth that sits behind another tooth to be taken out. This will allow me to smile again with confidence and to not cover my mouth when I laugh. It's the small things that make the biggest difference. Oh and finally, I'd like to wish Gillian a very happy birthday, I hope its a great day.

Negative experience: Terrible - constantly cancels appointments no wonder dentistry in the uk is in the state its in. This practise is run for the benefit of the dentist not the customer. Avoid

Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness the kindness of strangers. I had been in severe pain for over a week and 4 trips to my usual dentist had failed to resolve the problem. Dentist Christian Brausen is my reflexologist husband who I had never met but after hearing about my distress came in on his day off to resolve the problem. I can honestly say he was the most calm, professional, reassuring dentist. The procedure was painless ( extraction) and he explained every part of the procedure, giving me informed consent. Concise aftercare and reassurance of what to expect and be aware of. If you’re nervous of the dentist please do not hesitate to see Christian. We as a family are now changing to the dental practice as the care is exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care and service as usual. Thanks to all the staff especially Christian and Helen. A bit of a surprise that was liable for surcharge considering I was on a dental plan and paying monthly premiums during the lockdown.

My dentist ( Christian) is very caring but professional , taking time to listen and explain so that you get the best treatment. I am always made to feel welcome and confident with any treatment that may be necessary.
