Fantastic experience: cannot recommend this dentist enough, especially if you are an anxious patient. I am always incredibly nervous about dental visits, but she completely changed my experience. She took the time to listen to my past experiences and truly understood why I feel the way I do, without any judgement. Before starting, she walked me through every single step of what was going to happen, which completely put my mind at ease. Thank you so much for your patience, empathy, and wonderful care!

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment here today to extract the awkward roots that were left behind from an extraction at my usual dentist. The female dentist was fantastic, explained my dear after a recent awful experience and she was very caring and explained everything she was going to do and got my consent and offered me the choices before starting any work. The work was completely painless, number sufficiently and quickly and although a noisy procedure with the tools etc, was reassured throughout and was over a lot quicker than I expected. Fantastic care all round and aftercare fully explained and advised. Would confidently attend here again if needed!

Fantastic experience: After being panicked about having a tooth removed I was sent to blackwood dental surgery.. i was a nervous wreck but the staff was amazing as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with happy smiles.. i had my tooth removed by nia and the nurse was Michelle. I just want to say a massive thankyou to them as they were fantastic with me..had me laughing and made me feel so comfortable. Now I dont know why ive been so nervous having my tooth removed, as from start to finish they was brilliant..wish I could always have them as my dentists now thankyou both

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Blackwood Dental Centre highly enough. From my very first 32Co appointment through to the completion of my orthodontic treatment, every member of the team has been welcoming, professional and genuinely caring. The reception team are always friendly and accommodating, whether in person, over the phone or by email. They respond promptly and always do their best to help with appointments and any queries. The dental nurses are equally wonderful – kind, reassuring and always going above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and happy throughout my treatment. A special thank you goes to Elin, who has been exceptional from start to finish. As someone who can be a little apprehensive (and definitely a perfectionist!) I really appreciated how honest and transparent she was throughout my treatment. She always took the time to explain my options, gave professional advice with the health of my teeth at the forefront, and helped me make informed decisions without ever making me feel pressured. She was always available to answer questions, reassure me whenever I had concerns and even arranged additional appointments at short notice when required. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I always felt comfortable being completely honest. I’m so pleased with my final results and grateful for the care I received from the whole team. Although I’ll miss seeing everyone so regularly, I couldn’t be happier with my smile. Thank you all for making what felt like a daunting journey such a positive experience! ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Nobody likes going to the dentist, but honestly, this surgery was great. Staff on the desk were immediately welcoming and engaging. I've forgotten the dentist's name who performed the procedure (apologies) but she was terrific, really friendly, put me at ease, explained everything clearly, very professional. I had a wisdom tooth extraction, so wasn't particularly looking forward to it, but experienced no pain during the procedure. The procedure surprisingly took less time than it took me to fill out the form in reception. Thanks to all the team, and keep up the good work, it honestly makes a huge difference to us patients.

Fantastic experience: Absolutley fantastic service , firstly the reception staff were brilliant and moved my appointment a month earlier because I was in so much pain with a damaged wisdom tooth. Michelle and Sarah carried out my wisdom tooth removal and were beyond excellent , made me feel relaxed and at ease,Talked me through everything in detail and carried out the procedure to perfection. Would highly recommend if your worried or nervous to book in with these guys. Friendly, professional and great at what they do. Sarah greeted me with a smile and was totally professional throughout, with a lovely, friendly, relaxing manner. She explained everything in detail and the procedure was over in no time with no pain at all, including the anaesthetic injections. I can actually say that I enjoyed my visit. Can not recommend highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist! Went in for a wisdom tooth removal. I went in overwhelmed and terrified. But left happy and at ease. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Female dentist and her assistant were incredible. Instantly put me at ease and was in and out within 20 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom tooth and the tooth infront of it removed here today ! I was quite nervous as your awake during the procedure but Colin and Michelle made me feel at ease straight away, made sure i was properly numbed up and then they continued i was checked on all throughout and the procedure was that quick I couldn't believe they were actually both out! I definitely worked myself up for no reason! Cant thank the dentist and dental assistant enough!

Fantastic experience: With trepidation I attended this business to have two very painful teeth removed. I was in extreme pain and was worried the dental work would be painful. At first glance the surgery was clean and well presented. Staff at reception were professional and helpful. I was then met by Doctor Sarah and her nurse. Both were professional and made me feel at ease. Each process was clearly stated and my initial fear quickly settled. The whole process was carried out and other than the initial injections all was pain free. I write this review several hours after my visit, and for the first time in several weeks I am now pain free. Score 11/10.

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth extraction yesterday and the dentist and her assistant were excellent. They put me at ease and the procedure went much quicker than expected, there was no messing around.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing ! Divya had taken me through the process of what was going to be done explaining everything so well. When it come to actually removing the teeth she had done it absolutely pain free and in no time at all both of the teeth had been removed that were causing my hassle for nearly 3 years! Couldn’t be any more happy with the service today.

Negative experience: I visited this dental clinic for a professional teeth cleaning to remove tartar. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the service. After returning home and checking my teeth in the mirror, I noticed that some tartar was still clearly visible. It seems the cleaning was done either incompletely or without sufficient care. When paying for a professional service, one expects thorough and attentive treatment — sadly, this was not the case here. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality of their services moving forward.

From the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel welcome and at ease. Their friendly and professional approach was truly reassuring, such a warm friendly greeting! Dr Nia was incredibly experienced, explaining every step of the process in detail and ensuring I was comfortable throughout. It was also clear how well she worked with her assistant—their seamless communication and teamwork made the procedure smooth and efficient, I felt reassured I was in good hands! Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extraction here following a referral and everyone involved were fantastic. I felt very nervous, but needn't have been because the whole process was very smooth, with the extraction nowhere near as bad as expected. Everyone was very kind and professional, and the facilities very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: 2 days in to having my wisdom teeth out, and very minimal pain, female dentist made me feel at ease and talked me through what was going to happen, and even though it was abit of a difficult one to pull, she was gentle and kept me calm all the way through, I'm hoping to change to this dentist full time, thanks again, I'm hoping I can return for my other wisdom teeth.

Fantastic experience: Referred here by my dentist as I required a back tooth with long roots extracted. I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff at reception and promptly sent down the corridor where I was greeted by Dr Colin Rees. I was given an x-ray and then taken into the surgery. I felt no discomfort or pain during the extraction and was completely put at ease by Dr Rees and his dental nurse. The premises are modern and spotless and all staff are welcoming and friendly and put you at ease. I can highly recommend. Well done all !! Alan Davies, Llanbradach

Fantastic experience: Fantastic and friendly staff. Was referred here for a tricky tooth extraction, the surgeon explained everything clearly and managed to get the tooth out without having to cut and stitch as initially planned. Amazing, I didn't even realise it had been done!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I got referred here for a impacted wisdom tooth and I’m terrified of the dentist. The young lady who helped me was so professional and calming. She talked me through the process and managed to calm my nerves and completely relax me. I couldn’t thank her more, and her nurse who talked to me during the whole process to keep my mind of things. The whole practice is really professional and friendly!

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth extracted here. The surgeon was very professional, as were the nurses. I felt no pain during the extraction, very minimal bleeding and no pain at all afterwards or during healing. They were very patient with me as I have a huge phobia of the dentist! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I called up to chase up my referral on waiting list to be told I never filled a form in! I described the practice even though I had the layout correct was told I could have been there before (even though was not registered with them yet) when I got frustrated as to why the manager felt this practice was immune to errors I was put on speaker where she told me she wanted her staff hear me?! She spoke through me and told me I should wonder why I don’t have a dental practice when I was like I was on the phone (reality was I wasn’t abusive or swearing she was portraying a completely different representation to whoever was listening!) she told me I would never be a client of that practice? All over a dispute of how appalling her customer service was. It’s concerning this person is allowed to manage her staff when the example she sets falls well below the standard you would expect! When I wrote an official complaint she lied about the whole event and abused her role by doing this and the only thing that has allowed this person to keep her job is the fact that calls are not recorded at their practice! Because if it was it would reflect the full truth of the details I relayed in my written complaint and I think anyone would be shocked if they heard it! Don’t expect help when there is an issue here be expected to be told your lying and throw personal accusations at you and then allow the staff to be entertained by your frustration after they created it and put you on speaker breaching confidentiality and later go on to deny this ever took place! I strongly recommend that this practice invest in the facilities ensure their calls are recorded moving forward to stop this person feeling they can say what they want deny it and get away with it! APPALLING AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL HERE
