Negative experience: Sara-Al l- dahimy said to me after spending over 800 pound in my teeth that the check up afterwards was free but when i rang them they said they would check with her because it didn't sound right and come back and said that she never said that BUT she did and she's a lier

Fantastic experience: Dr. Atabak Nonahal is an outstanding dentist who works with great precision and care. He is truly one of the best dental professionals I have ever met. His professionalism, attention to detail, and gentle approach are exactly the qualities every patient hopes for. I have seen several dentists in Taunton before, and while I prefer not to speak negatively about anyone, I can honestly say that my experience here has been on a completely different level. I highly recommend Dr. Nonahal and sincerely wish him continued success in his profession.

Negative experience: This dental surgery has gone extremely downhill, Dentist Atabak Nonahal is inexperienced, makes you feel nervous that he doesn't seem to fully be confident in what he's doing and on occasions having to talk through his assistant due to poor English and then there's the receptionist's will tell you "I'll get that sorted for when you come back" "I'll call you back" ect and they never follow through, Also appts getting cancelled on the morning they are meant to take place I had this 3 times in a row recently. Have moved from NHS with them to a solely private practice elsewhere paying extra as it's just so much better.

Positive experience: They don't answer the phone quickly, was waiting almost 15 mins earlier and I was in 'position 1' , I had to give up, feel sorry for the others ! The ladies on reception are fantastic and very efficient, such a pity they are so stretched :-)) Only seen Riccardo once, but he's a fab dentist, would definitely recommend this practice

Negative experience: Just avoid! Take your money, canel your appointments repeatedly then strike you off and say they have no record of you attending in so long. Spend you hard earned money elsewhere. Absolute joke.

Negative experience: I have just visited your practice to enquire about NHS care. Your receptionist was very dismissive. I'm an OAP, I can't afford to pay thousands for private care. I've got a problem and you refused to help.

Fantastic experience: I hated going to the dentist and hadn't been for quite some time, as I was put off so badly by a previous dentist. But today I went to have a tooth pulled out and was seen by lovely Rita and Emily who was absolutely amazing and so lovely. Rita reminded me to breath and making sure I was ok. Emily made sure she caught the tooth which i was very impressed by how quickly she managed to catch it with the sucker machine. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support. Now don't mind going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely exceptional work done by Yasaman and her assistant. Honestly I could have cried. Whilst costs are high I would definitely recommend Yasaman. I am so happy after just one appointment.

Negative experience: Sara is absolutely wonderful, if this review were about her I'd be giving 5 stars easily. Reception though, my god they are 0 stars easily. Go in for second appointment ever, they have no record I paid. Have complications after an extraction, "Oh Sara's not in until Thursday I'm afraid, I can leave a message for her". Unacceptable service, especially when paying so much.

Fantastic experience: Been registered for a few years now and couldn’t rate you any higher. Brilliant practice. I have severe dental anxiety, and being autistic doesn’t help. I end up going into shutdown and unable to talk, and constantly going for a wee every 5 mins and throwing up when the appointment day is creeping up- like it’s bad. Along with medical neglect in childhood left me with issues with my teeth. Things like parents not buying toothpaste, and having 1 toothbrush for a family of 6 and not taking us to the dentist even when we ask to go just to name a few. But the work you guys do is amazing. They accepted that I didn’t feel ready and respected my wishes to get comfortable with going to the dentist before starting treatment. And then unfortunately my dentist left and then went under the care of Yasaman and her dental assistant. They are honestly the best dental pair I’ve seen. They’re definitely in the right career. Yasaman is patient understanding and takes her time with her patients. She’s makes sure you’re comfortable and explains what she’s doing as she’s doing it. And her assistant (I don’t know her name and I feel bad) she’s the most warm hearted person ever- she greets you with a smile and asks how you’re doing and it’s such a relief. She’s brilliant at what she does to help Yasaman with her artwork. They were soo good at the extraction that they did- start to finish- was less than 10 mins, explained everything and they were brilliant at calming my nerves. I’m still scared of dentist don’t get me wrong, but knowing it’s them two that I’m seeing is a massive weight off my shoulders. I can’t thank them enough for helping me be more confident with life and fixing my smile. Thank you soo much to all the team who work there. Looking forward to coming back with just needing check ups

Fantastic experience: Had a long treatment in the chair to get ready for a crown , Yas is lovely and very reassuring , she wasn’t sure it was going to be possible with what was left but I’ve since been back to have the crown fitted . I would 100% recommend her to anyone .

Regarding dental surgeons I will only go to Sara and her team of dental nurses as she is so incredibly friendly so so lovely and very knowledgeable and her work I’ve received over the years has been amazing. Fantastic experience: Had filling without anaesthetic, at own request due to not liking numbness afterwards. Yas was very considerate and took care to keep pain to a minimum. The whole procedure was fine and I had no pain afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Dr Yas highly enough. I had a fear of dentists and she put me at ease from my first check up to my extraction. She was calm, reassuring, friendly and professional and removed one of my HUGE molars in less than 5 minutes with minimal discomfort (also the other dentist present for the extraction was lovely too). The receptionists are all friendly and informative. I can confidently say I am no longer afraid of dentist trips thanks to Dr Yas!

In a remarkably efficient way I received a check up including two x-rays, an appointment booked in 12 months. I have been with Kilkenny Dental practice for more than 10 years. I've always been well looked after by all of the staff and always found the Dentists first class. I'm so grateful to have access to such a good NHS practice.

Fantastic experience: I broke a front tooth over the bank holiday, which meant I had to avoid smiling. I phoned my dentist not expecting to be seen for days or weeks. A very friendly and helpful receptionist said they would get back to me. 3 hours later I had an appointment with yas a very friendly young dentist who fixed my tooth and gave me my smile back. I couldn’t believe what a great job she had done, and the overall experience was professional with no stress. Thank you my dentist.

Negative experience: Repeatedly had appointments cancelled by the practice only to be told I am longer a patient because I didn't attend recently enough (despite trying) and they're no longer "taking new NHS patients", despite being a patient there for over 40 years. Was told on the phone they're not attracting new dentists and don't have enough, so are only offering to private patients now. Not exactly a great sales pitch for something provided for free by the NHS!

Fantastic experience: My partner had been looking to get his teeth sorted for a while a we ended up at Kilkenny seeing Sara Al-aadhami. She was absolutely fantastic , the process was a painful one needing many extractions but will Sara guidance we felt in safe hands. The end results were life changing and my partner is now more confident than ever. Huge shout out to Sara she is a wonderfully caring person inside and out and we would HIGHLY recommend.

Fantastic experience: During my check up with Sara she identified an area of concern on my tongue. Sara made a referral to the Hospital Maxillofacial clinic where I was seen by a consultant. I have since had surgery to deal with the issue. I have always been impressed by Sara's unhurried and caring approach but this highlighted to me how thorough and curious she is when looking after my dental care. Thank you Sara!

I had some issues that required some rapid attention whereby I was accommodated quickly and efficiently by the extremely polite reception staff. Negative experience: UPDATE: I called the practice in desperation due to being in tremendous pain. The blunt receptionist said (her exact words) "we've already told you there is nothing we can do" and "you'll just have to wait " - she was referring to the 1 year waiting list I am on. I walked in to a private dentist and they solved all of my problems in 40 minutes for £120. I've actually given up my NHS space at this dentist now because I just don't have any confidence in their ability to competently give me the right treatment. Mixed feelings. They take on NHS patients occasionally and I was able to register so I'm grateful for that. I've had a lot of checkups and x-rays that I didn't need to pay for. BUT on the flip side the emphasis is always on getting you in and out as quickly as possible and the treatment I've had is a quick patch rather than the 'proper' treatment I really needed. And I get the impression that although the dentist is well practiced at carrying out procedures, they have quite a limited repertoire and limited experience with diagnosing problems so the treatment you get is whatever they know how to do. All of my appointments have started between 10 and 25 minutes late - even at 9 o'clock in the morning. On my last visit the procedure was rushed and I had to go back a second time for it to be corrected - which was very painful and unpleasant. When I came to book my next routine check-up the earliest appointment was 14 months away. And I'm on a 1yr waiting list for treatment to a broken tooth. I'm sticking with this dentist purely because it's NHS. If I were paying private rates for this service I would have gone elsewhere long ago.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to the area - booked an appointment over the phone - very quick and simple, receptionist was polite and was able to book a Saturday appointment! Ryan (hygienist) and his assistant were great - very calm and gentle and explained what was happening with each step. Cleaned my teeth well and offered some useful advice too!

Fantastic experience: what else can i say, today i had the most amazing appointment with a dentist ive ever had! (which i never thought id say that) After 4 agonising pain with my teeth, not being able to eat, drink, sleep and even talking hurt. So i called 111 they told me there an appointment in taunton at kilkenny. I booked it in and my anxiety kicked in as iv not had the best experiences in the past with dentist, normally when i go to an appointment book throught 111 they would see me for a check up and then tell me id have to book an appointment next week to have the treatment, another week of pain. So itv thought today would just be the same but no today was different. As i entered the building i was instantly checked in, within minute they called my name. As i enter the room and was welcomed by Sara Al-aadhami, i knew she actually cared and wanted to help. I felt at ease and comfortable. She x-rayed my mouth, and showed me them and told me what was causing the pain. 1 tooth has to be removed by the hospital as its still in the bone under the gum. The other tooth is completely broken in half and has to be extracted.Then the words " i can take that tooth out today if you're happy with that" . i instantly said "yess please " with a hige smile on my face. she then injected me to numb the area, she the check if it was numb. then she proceed and throughly removed my tooth as i nearly fell ll asleep. i was soo happy with the outcome. Thank you so much to Sara Al-aadhami and her assistant for everything !!

Fantastic experience: I recently had nine new teeth added to my upper jaw - five implants and four pontics. Gaetano Fundaro was my implantologist. The results are excellent. I can now smile with confidence and also I can eat whatever I like. Dr Fundaro is highly experienced and highly skilled. I would strongly recommend him.

Negative experience: Wish I could not give a single star due to reception mafia. Worst dental practice ever. Got my daughter appointment canceled with 3 weeks before after waiting for 6 months due to an emergency treatment... In 3 weeks?! Every time I called on emergency I went private and there was availability next day as long as you pay. Not the first time this happened, as I'm waiting for a specialist referral for the last 8 months due to my little one 2 year old having a infection and still nothing after 7 months, so yes, emergency treatment works only for others. This clinic is well known for friends of dentists to be able to grab a NHS appointment in less than a week... While we wait for our appointments they always get canceled in the last 2 weeks...

Fantastic experience: Very helpful.

Negative experience: Almost all of my appointments end up being cancelled and I have to call to rearrange. Most recently, an appointment in 3 months time cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances", upon contacting the practice its because the dentist has changed to do private work. Good luck actually seeing anyone here as an NHS patient. You'll wait 9 months only to have it cancelled and no offer to rearrange unless you call back up and guess what, it will be another 6-9 months but oh what's this, if you pay you can be seen tomorrow. If any other dentists were actually accepting patients it'd jump ship in a heartbeat. Practice manager and admin teams shift blame on to the dentists to try and redirect frustration but are doing absolutely nothing to actually address any of the issues of dentists moving to private.

Negative experience: Not had the best experience along with my family. Had my yearly check up cancelled a few weeks before because the dentist decided they would only see private patients that day. If i wanted my appointment i would have to pay £40 over the phone or reschedule. Had appointments in the past cancelled as well within short notice. Had family members also have fillings done and fall out within 2 weeks which they then charged for again. Was also told they were due a refund but also told they owed money which makes zero sense?!?!? When calling about rebooking my appointment i felt i was forced to reschedule my appointment which i said i would do at a later date. Dont plan to return here along with the rest of my family

Fantastic experience: The dentist is probably the place I least enjoy going and having a phobia of injections and needles doesn’t help either. Smriti & Courtney have restored my confidence in going to the dentist and I wouldn’t go as far as saying I enjoy going but I honestly couldn’t recommend a dentist any higher than Smriti! Professional and honest throughout with a genuine conscience for her patients health and well being! They’re both a fantastic asset to the dentist!

Negative experience: Had an absolutely shocking receptionist answer the phone to me this morning when I was trying to get an emergency dental appointment , dismissed everything I was trying to say: tried to explain but she kept talking through my questions, I was told there’s nothing that could be done today , whilst I understand it’s a very busy practice, I wasn’t advised when to call back or even asked if I was in pain, or what to do from here on in! I tried to explain that I’m immunosuppressed through medication and that infection was a big risk to my health , and she didn’t even acknowledge what I was saying, I also wanted to ask if I need to stop certain medications I’m taking before, but never got the chance to get a word in edge ways , absolutely disgusting customer care , I guess I will just have to keep trying all week .

Fantastic experience: Received by the most friendly receptionist. Dentistry carried out by Sarah again very friendly. She repaired my broken front tooth so that it looked as good as new. Such attention to detail. It was a pleasure to come to the dentist.

Positive experience: I got very good care and attention from Mary today thank you. Reception staff informed me that private care was my only option for the future as five dentists have apparently left in the eighteen months I wonder why.

Fantastic experience: Had an upper molar removed today after weeks of toothache. Haven't been to a dentist for years as I get so nervous but I have to say Mary and the dental nurses who did the extraction were lovely. Would definitely go to her again.

Negative experience: Not usually one to write negative reviews but I spoke to an absolutely shocking receptionist this morning when asking if there was a chance of an emergency appointment due to a suspected infection. She was blunt and simply dismissive. An absolutely appalling way to talk to any patient - especially one who is in a great deal of discomfort. I have never usually had a problem with this practice but it wasn’t the service you’d expect when you are made to pay extra for private dentistry. I’d like to also add for someone who luckily rarely suffers with dental issues and has little experience with what to do if I cannot be seen - I was offered no advice on where to go or what to do as an alternative. I didn’t even get the chance to ask for advice before the staff member said “we have no appointments today or the rest of the week, goodbye”. Perhaps she was busy as I called first thing in the morning, but surely these enquiries are expected daily and there are better ways to handle it. Customer service needs to be seriously reviewed. 07/08/23. 08:30 - 08:45.

Negative experience: Poor. Went for a root canal and was told it would be 600 all in. Had it done and as I was leaving she said I would now need a crown another 600. I have changed dentist 4 months later and they just took a scan, looks like the root canal has decay still in it and it wasn't all cleaned out. I have seen another review say this too.

Fantastic experience: NHS 111 referred me to Kilkenny Dental Practice after suffering an accident. The Reception staff were amazing and couldnt be more supportive and understanding. Sarah, the Dentist who saw me was equally amazing and carried out extensive work saving my teeth, whilst being very careful not to aggravate the stitches in my lips. Sarah also took time to explain exactly what was happening and what could happen in the future. My sincere thanks to the whole team. I would without hesitation recommend this Practice.

Negative experience: Email below received from Kilkenny dental practice.... WOW! Unfortunately, we have had to cancel your appointment on 10/07/2023 as your dentist has chosen to work privately on this day. We have two options to rebook, you can either have a private appointment as soon as possible for £49.00 or 25.00 for children or we can rearrange an NHS appointment. Positive experience: 9 months wait for an NHS appointment same day for a private appointment. British medical care shouldn't be as profit driven as far as Kilkenny is trying to pursue. My dentist Sara however is the best dentist I have ever had. She is caring, considerate and quick, and the only reason Im not giving this money driven dental practice 1 star.

Negative experience: When I first registered as a NHS patient I was very impressed with the service and treatment that I received, giving them a 5* review. My initial 3 appointments were fine, however since 2022 my opinion has drastically changed. My checkup in January 2022 and rescheduled for the next week after I had sat in the waiting room for over a hour. At that time I had a chipped tooth which I was told was fine and would wait until my next checkup, however I was persuaded to have a Denture to replace 2 missing back teeth on either side at a cost of £282 which I regretted as it fitted very badly and is now useless as it doesn't fit at all. My September checkup was cancelled by text. I phoned and the earliest I could reschedule for was May 2023. The week before Christmas the chipped tooth broke off right to the gum line, causing me agony. I was told that the first NHS "emergency" appointment was March 2023 unless I paid £85 for a private consultation which I declined. My March appointment was cancelled by text saying my dentist was only seeing private patients that day. And surprise surprise, I have just received a text cancelling my checkup appointment for next week. As I was in agony, I obviously couldn't wait until March so out of principle, I booked an appointment at a different practice who said that having a Denture attached to a chipped tooth almost certainly caused me to lose the tooth completely. If I could give 0 stars I would. Disgusted and traumatised by my experience at Kilkenny

Fantastic experience: Sara my dentist was lovely, she explained everything so well, was calm and patient with me. Didn't hurt at all (I have a fear of dentists after many not very good ones). 5 star treatment and a very happy customer

Negative experience: Phoning for days re emergency extraction needed, told finally as not been seen since 2019 can only be seen privately now - my previous appointments were cancelled by the dentist due to covid. Was never written to or advised was no longer an NHS patient with them

Negative experience: Shocking Dentist, Less than 2 years after charging me £800 for a crown it has become reinfected... they quoted an extra £1000. However they have cancelled that appointment leaving me in pain... Trying to get an appointment here is mental, they dont seem to care at all. Avoid at all costs

Positive experience: Sara was amazing , but my concern is it was almost impossible to get an nhs appointment at least 6 months wait , when I ask about private I could have an appointment the following week I was even asked what time, the actual treatment I needed was the same wait time if I go NHS if private straight away THIS VERY POOR , IF I WANTED PRIVATE I WOULD HAVE GONE TO A DENTIST practice that was private not NHS dentist practice WHY OH WHY ARE YOU STILL SAYING NEW NHS PATIENTS WELCOME

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist! From the receptionists to the dentist, couldn’t fault them. Helpful and polite, didn’t wait long at all for the appointment and Sara completely put me at ease during my tooth removal, really pleased. Thank you all

Negative experience: Lost count of the amount of cancelled appointments I have had, finally really need to see a dentist and lo and behold, will only help me if I pay private. Why bother registering NHS patients if you can't do it. Waste of time

Negative experience: ** Update 30th January** I was refunded and they have since taken me off there system as the dentist that I used to see Machela has left and wanted me to go private which I can’t afford so I no longer have a NHS dentist practice Recently been in for a checkup which was cancelled 5 times, until I told the manager Teresa not to cancel this anymore as we are self employed and it’s quite inconvenient for us! Sat down in the chair and was ask, any problems? I replied yes I’ve had toothache upper left, she had a look and said ok it’s probably the filling you’ve got no need to do a X-ray, we will need to re-book, drill out the filling and see what’s going on because you may have a cracked tooth? Off I went £23.80 booking for January to have the filling drilled out. Then I had a thought, (suffer with various illnesses) why didn’t she check my other teeth bearing in mind I was in for a routine check up to make sure they were ok? I phone up today and asked this question and spoke to Tara who said yes you should of had this done? I will ask your dentist, nothing yet, so I will go back in tomorrow morning and ask for my money back because they have just charged me for telling them something I already knew and they didn’t do the checkup fraud!

Negative experience: Paid over £600 to have treatment I needed on agreement with the Dentist she would be taking NHS patients in the July, had a check up on NHS then when I called for next appointment was told she'd left so I would have to go private again if I wanted a dentist! Feel conned, not to mention a filling that fell out twice before has fallen out again, receptionist was unhelpful and unsympathetic.
